3rd time was a charm found a teacher that made it make sense. Very helpful and easy to understand!

By all means, calculus is not an easy course, but Mr. Cripe explains so much that the work becomes very doable. He is always willing, and sometimes insist that people get help, even when doing well in class. Best math instructor imaginable.

A good teacher, and very smart. Does not demand very much from you. Does not require mastery of skills, which for engineering students is a must.

Very good math instructor!!! I took him for Math 122, 171, & 172. He is I really nice guy and really goes out of his way to help his students....if they are willing to ask for it.

Mr. Cripe is one of the easiest teachers I've ever had. I got over 100% in his Math 172 class without doing that much work. Of course you need to do homework every day, but that is just like with any other teacher. He is also very helpful and answers questions well. The best thing is that he collects homework at the end of the semester,which gives you more time to do it. I highly recomend him.

he is a really good teacher...the class was difficult for me though. he is a concept teacher...he likes to explain why and how instead of just doing a problem. tests are hard, but he doesnt collect hw till the end of the semester!

Great professor! He explains the material very clearly. Lets you know exactly what will be on the tests. HIS TESTS ARE NOT HARD! NOT EVEN THE FINAL! He doesn't collect the homework only gives homework quizes once in a while. At the end of the semester he does collect the homework notebook for wich either you get all the points or none.

I took this class with another instructer and failed but passed easily with a B thanks to Mr. Cripe. He explains things very well. If you don't pass you weren't paying attention. Very easy.

Awesome teacher....just go to class everyday, pay attention, and do your homework.... If you do those things there is no reason you shouldn't get an A.... My favorite math teacher ever!

Prof. Cripe is great. He explains everything very clearly, and will go over it again and again if you are havin toruble understanding it. Yes his test are a wee bit hard; and he does collect the homework. But as long as you do that homework and make sure you understand it you can pass with an A. ( I got a B do to F on one test).

He was a very good professor. Homework is important, I got lazy and stopped doing it and my grade suffered. Tests can be difficult, but if you study you will probably do better than you expect.

He really loves math and wants his students to not only pass the class but to actually learn math. If you have ?'s just ask. His tests are not hard, you just have to study. Fantastic teacher. It's obvious that math and teaching are his passions. He's so helpful -- his door is often open for help! It pays to listen to what he says in class because it's directly related to homework and tests and doing well in the class. Study hard for th class -- but he's there to help all along the way. He's awesome.

I agree with the previous great reports. He is PASSIONATE about teaching in order for you to get it, even to the point of doing things a bit out of order if it will help.

Prof Cripe works very hard to make the work easy to understand, and easy to do. He constantly tells of the importance of keeping up so that we will understand the new assignments given out tomorrow

Mr. Cripe is an excellent math teacher. He gets really excited about math, and makes it fun and interesting. As long as you go to class, and do your homework everyday you will do fine. He even has take home quizzes! :)

Prof. Cripe has changed my feelings towards Math from ABSOLUTELY fathoming the subject, to being my favorite class to attend. He is excellent at communicating with students, which is an imperative attribute to have when dealing with Math. To all who fear Math: this is a wise teacher to ease into it with. (He's nice & silly at that.)

i didn't really like his teaching style he likes just to lecture and doesn't really get the class involved. overall he was good. but his tests are hard and there is a lot of homework that was really hard to keep up with.

Great professor. He was tough but it was Calculus, its not gonna be easy. He was really really helpful, helping you to understand the material. I'm taking him again for next semester. You definitely wanna show up though(tho there's no role sheet) and not get behind on homework

Cripe was a very good teacher, but don't kid yourselves, he was NOT easy. Yes, I aced his class, but I WORKED! I would recommend taking his class to anyone who is serious about school, has good attendence/study habbits, and truly wants to learn and understand math.

I hate math and my grade shows it. I had a good grade up until the final. Then I bombed the final AND the class. He's a great teacher and very willing to help. I think his grading system should be worked on though. Someone how does well through out the whole semester should not have to retake the class for failing ONE exam.

He doesn't tolerate disruptive behavior, is extremely thorough & grades fair. Tip: Don't miss class, do all homework, take notes in class, and watch out - U might just love MATH.

Such a good teacher. More willing to help students after class than any math teacher I've ever had. Really wants you to understand the reasoning behind what you are doing and not just memorizing formulas.

Professor Cripe was a great math teacher! He took the time to answer any questions before class started everyday. I wouldn't get the book if he is still using the MYMATHLAB because that program has an online version. There is one homework question due for every section and a total of 5 Exams and the final. GREAT TEACHER!

He is a very consistent and thorough lecturer. He will explain everything that he expects you to know. The tests are hard, but are similar to the daily problem you turn in. Extra Credit is apart of the exams and can be anything that has been studied. Professor Cripe is great and my bet is you'll even enjoy the class.

He is calm, patient, explains things in a easy to understand way, and likes interacting with the class. His exams are fair and there is always an extra credit question. He loves math! Best math teach at MJC. I hadn't took math in over a year and he made it easy to understand. You just have to do the work, he's patient, works with you, and cares! Its Math its never easy and u have to do work no matter who u get, but take him and if u do just that u'll pass!

First math class since high school 7 years ago. I came in knowing nothing of Algebra and he taught in a way that was understandable and easy to remember. I would recommend him to family and friends. And the humor he adds in the class helps too. And ten percent extra credit for every exam.

Cripe is awesome!i entered the class afraid of math, but hes very patient & consistent with lectures. If you struggle too, attendance is mandatory & do ALL the homework on MML. He helps students after class& doesn't mind repeating himself until you understand. Final is 30% of grade, provides study guides for tests.wish he taught 90!JUST TAKE HIM!!!

In high school I got never got higher than a C in my math classes. Took both algebra & geometry twice & couldn't pass Algebra 2. That being said I was not looking forward to math. Honestly Cripe is such a great teacher, I actually understood. He goes very slow and makes sure you actually get it. This is the first math class passed with a B+ TAKEhim

This teacher is a good teacher, understood the material was not easy for me since i had not taken math in 16 years and skipped 5th & 6th grade. Attend class,Do all homework book & online, and you will do good, tests are harder & test you on your understanding of the material, not to many problems on test but each problem is a mix of many .

Cripe is very patient and understanding with his students. The key to this class is to attending every day and do all the mymathlab problems. He explains everything very simply and will kindly clarify if you are confused. Sometimes we used the txtbook in class but he wrote the problems on the board so you can get away without it.

The more effort you put into his class the better you will do. Sometimes I think Cripe could double as an inspirational speaker because of the amount of energy he puts into teaching math to those who don’t like it/understand it. By the end of the semester, you will have confidence to feel good taking your next math class, even if it’s not with him.

Professor Cripe was my absolute FAVORITE. He is such an amazing man and I cannot even explain how much knowledge he has when it comes to math. He is truly a mathematical genius, it's quite impressive Some people didn't like his somewhat dry sense of humor, but I LOVED it. I will so miss that handsomely intelligent man, wish he taught 90.

Before starting on the problems, he cares about the student understanding the theory and the proof of the subject first. He is approachable and is willing to answer questions. There is so much he can teach, so extra help, like tutoring and study groups, are needed if you need help with math like me.

Just an amazing teacher over all!!! Almost any math professor knows calculus three, but to knowing how to teach it is a different question. Paul Cripe definitely knows how to teach this course! You can tell he puts time and effort in coming up with different ways to help students understand the subject matter. Not just pass, but understand!!

If you fail his class it will be because you nevee stepped into his office hours. He will do whatever he can to help you out. He is an amazing professor! Superb at what he does. I would take him again and again!

Father Cripe is simply the best. He excels at teaching and helping you learn everything math across the board, from Algebra 1 to Calc 3. He is very passionate about math and it translates to better understanding on the student's part. Would definitely recommend.

Paul is the best professor out there! I had him for math 70 and I had an A the whole semester. His lectures are entertaining and it goes by pretty fast. He does assign homework each night but it's only a couple problems. He really made me interested in math. I would definitely recommend him if you struggle with math. He's willing to help anytime!

Professor Cripe is awesome. He's slightly monotone sometimes, but he never makes you feel bad for asking a question (no matter how ridiculous it is), and that is absolutely a plus! Lots of extra credit. Take advantage while you can or you will regret it because it doesn't last all semester!

As long as you show up to class and do the work you will pass. Professor Cripe is very good at explaining the information and as long as you are in class to receive the message you'll be fine.

Mr. Cripe definitely loves what he does and may sound a bit condescending a first when he explains problems, but in reality he's giving you the why, the how, and is making sure you really understand the math-even when you're not sure what you don't understand. Just do the home work and definitely keep track of the assignments.

He goes through everything very slowly and clearly (probably not great for the more advanced). Dropped a MATH70 class last semester where I was completely lost. Cripe, is amazing. Hands down, but unfortunately I was not able to pass 70 like others have had. 4 exams, 1 final, take really good notes if you're as bad as math as me practice,practice,practice! He is truly a math genius, but wasn't able to help me to pass math no matter how great his lectures were. I recommend taking him before he retires!

Very good Teacher, He loves to teach and is very thorough you can miss half the class and still understand what he's talking about. shows you several ways to do a problem, and lets you choose which way is easier for you. If he taught math 90 or 101 I would stick with him through all my math courses.

I would highly recommend Prof. Cripe to anyone struggling with math. He is AWESOME! I completely despise math but he honestly cares about you passing and understands that math can be intimidating. Show up, Take notes, do your homework and study the book questions and you will pass the exams! He has the best grading system (meant to help you pass) !

He tries to help anyone with a problem. Just speak up and ask and he will try his best to answer. I am relearning math, but if you are starting at this level having a two day class would be hard. Class moves kind of fast so keeping up is essential. Overall great teacher if you are relearning intermediate algebra.

Cripe is very approachable and helpful! I never liked math, but he made the class engaging and fun. Most homework is accessed through the MyMathLab software, and you must submit both the online homework and written homework from the book. If the software is being a problem, he will do his best to help out if you let him know as soon as possible.

This professor was such great help. The class was super easy with his teaching method. He's really descriptive in explaining how to solve problems, pretty funny guy as well. He wants to help you pass and that is what I loved about taking his class. If you do your homework and study you'll pass. Just have to put in effort on your behalf.

I hate math and most of all I hate fractions, but the way Professor Cripe taught the material was amazing and easy to comprehend. He's funny and caring and available if you have any questions. Replies to emails quickly and his exams are a breeze if you study! the software is a huge help too

Professor Cripe was the best math teacher I have ever taken at MJC. He made the algebra concepts easy to understand and for the first time in my life, I actually got an A in math! He gives extra credit on every test (10 points) so you have a chance for those points every test. He is actually very funny too (I forgot to add that tag).

Just an all around great teacher. He teaches the material very well. He cares about his students, and you can tell he loves what he does. The way he weights his grades makes it mandatory that you study for the tests and especially the final.

I took his hybrid Math 30. i was so nervous because this was my first online class and people say online is really hard. i will say it was a lot of studying but i wanted an A in the class. I am very glad I ended up taking Professor Cripe for Math 30. I had not taken any kind of math in a number of years and did really well in the class. He is the first teacher to explain math in a way that enabled me to succeed at it.

Great professor, very helpful and accessible, wants you to pass, rounds grades up. I did not give it my all and am not good at math. Could have done better. Great prof.
