Danuser is HILARIOUS! He teaches well and makes it very clear! Classes are pretty packed and he is really popular!
Danuser is by far my favorite professor! I had him for Foundations of Education and Educational Psychology, and he was wonderful in both of them. He truly cares about his students.
He is a really fun and inspirational teacher! He likes to do a lot of lectures and powerpoints. He also likes to have you present to the class a number of times.
I was skeptical at first but amazing professor! Amazing class!
I really enjoyed Professor Danuser class. He it a teacher who respect his students and his students respect him. I've learned so much in his class and would most defiantly take his class again.
Great teacher! He respects his students and vice versa. He is a fair grader. I learned a ton from his class and enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend him!
Great teacher, hard to fail. Will work with you so long as you go for help and actually try.
Very passionate professor. Does some group work and lots of class discussion, but mainly lectures. You will learn a lot, but his tests are wordy.
Pretty standard teacher. Not my favorite as it is mainly a lecture based class. Solid choice but nothing exciting.
I loved taking this professor. The first day I was nervous because I thought this class was going to be hard. Danuser made this class fun and engaging. I appreciated that he did not lecture the entire time, but instead made me excited to go to class. He went over all of the assignments and it was not hard for me to ask questions. Strongly Recommend
Danuser made coming to class enjoyable. He always made jokes in between lectures. Reading the textbook and learning the material in this class is a must in order to pass the in class quizzes every two weeks.
Danuser is a good professor and provides great feedback on assignments, but he likes to change assignments last minute. The good part of that is that you have a lot of class time to get things done and most assignments are presented in class. The downside is that there is no working ahead. He's a good COE professor that will always support you.
Didn't actually teach anything, what I learned was from research from papers not through professor. Grading is inconsistent - more concerned about format than content. Grades heavily on grammar but yet his grammar is not correct for assignments so hard to respect someone's opinion who doesn't follow what he preaches.
Danuser is awesome!!!!! Would highly recommend taking his class!
Danuser cares about his students. Tests every other week, if you read the chapter you will get an A. It is possible to pass tests without reading though. Changed multiple assignments to make them fit student needs and make them more interesting. A bit of a tough grader. Previous English teacher, so make sure to check grammar and spelling in papers.
He genuinely cares about his students, but fair warning he is a suuuuper tough grader. He reads every line of every paper and will critique every little grammatical error. He is flexible to work with you though which is nice if you have the time
Paul Danuser is a great teacher. He is really funny and makes class so much fun to come to. He has decided the better way to learn is to allow the students to help teach some of the content. With it being more hands on it is easier to study and understand the content.
Paul is by far one of the best education professors. Taking this course with him was the best decision I made all year. He cares about each and every one of his students and their future in the education field. He will make you complete a lot of assignments, but always graded fairly in my opinion. Would EASILY take him again, he is amazing.
Prof Danuser is definitely one of the best COE professors. He truly cares for his students and wants to see them succeed. He is really not a tough grader as long as you know how to correctly format papers and use proper grammar/spelling, which at college level, you should. He has an awesome sense of humor, and shares inspirational stories in class.
The most bestest professor and an overall great person. It'd be a mistake not to take his class.
Prof Danuser is a brilliant instructor. He has so much experience in different areas of education and has been teaching forever. He stands at the door to greet every student before class and is VERY funny. He is so inspiring and I am now considering being a teacher because of his impact. He modifies assignments and strives for student success!
The tests are semi hard, but just go off of the textbook or handouts verses any handwritten notes and you'll be fine. When he said this class was writing intensive he really wasn't kidding. Constantly writing 700 word papers for his class. CONSTANTLY. You've been warned. Absolutely love the professor! The 10,000 essays, not so much.
This class is very boring. I felt like it was hard to stay focused. We also went over APA formatting way too much and he changed the formatting. Overall a confusing professor.
Danuser is a really kind guy. But his lectures are very boring. He mostly just talks at you the entire time.
Danuser is my absolute favorite professor at GCU. He genuinely cares about his students and tries his best to give us the support we need in his class. He does not spend too much time lecturing and gives us a lot of time for discussion. I was warned that this class was irrelevant, but with Danuser, I found everything applicable to my content.
Professor Danuser is amazing! I learned so much from this class. He tells you exactly what he expects for the assignments and grades fairly. I will always take his class if I can because he is caring and truly wants to help students become successful educators that care about their students. A lot of classroom discussions and interesting content.
This class is about not being a jerkface. He has students group and teach topics for him. Then, the class goes off into an oblivion of conversation on controversial topics for two hours. He changes assignments to be meaningful and manageable. Danuser is a beloved campus celebrity and this post is frivolous to the conversation at this point.
He is the best professor Ive had so far. He makes jokes in class, is always smiling. He likes greeting everyone as they walk in. Hes such a nice guy. He explains his PowerPoint well. He is good with answering questions and answering private forums. He explains the assignments clearly will even give a outline. GradeA fair and explains the grade.
Paul was a great professor, and really understanding to any situation you may have had while taking his class. He was always available to talk, and gave great feedback. I recommend taking him any chance you get! I took this class in person.
One of my favorite professors so far at GCU. Was always very good about responding on the forums to any questions and generated discussion well. Just an overall very nice man who cares about his students and preparing them well for a future in education. And extra points for being a Packers fan! Go Pack Go!
Danuser is a sweetheart that genuinely cares about his students. Each chapter/unit will have a test but if you read the textbook, you will get an A. He is a tough grader when it comes to papers, but if you are grammatically correct and cite your sources according to APA format, you will do just fine!
Pretty easy class overall. Gives points for attendance but nothing too extreme. He was very understanding as long as you talked to him and really cares for his students
Dr. Danuser is hands down the best professor I've had at GCU. He is a phenomenal teacher and knows what he is talking about. He has a witty humor and a heart of gold. He truly cares about his students and is passionate about teaching. I highly recommend Dr. Danuser's class to anyone. I wish I could take more classes with him. He's truly the best!
Mr. Danuser is my far one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is very considerate of the other aspects in a college students life, he grades exactly as he says he will, he makes engaging and fun, and is always welcome to helping when you need it. If you are thinking about taking his class I highly recommend it, definitely one of the best.
would definitely recommend. He can be a tough grader, but only because he cares about who we will become as a future educator.
If youre in this class youve probably had Danuser maybe even four times. This was my third and final class with Danuser and it was no different from the rest. Dont jump ahead on assignments because they will change (and be easier), the class will mostly be discussion-based, and of course, hes going to be the caring gem of a prof he always is.
Danuser has a very good heart and you can tell he really loves his job. He is helpful and it is clear he wants to help you succeed but his lectures can be pretty repetitive and long. He goes on and on for the full period and although there is also discussion it is, in my opinion, unnecessary. I liked him but I don't feel like I learned a lot.
Class was boring at some points but very informative! I learned so much, you just need to apply yourself. Overall great class and even better professor. Really cares about students!!! One of the better COE professors!
Dr. Danuser has prepared me for teaching in a way no other professor has. He is incredibly knowledgable and engaged. He genuinely cares about his students and is passionate about bringing up successful and equipped teachers. He is real and shares his wisdom. Absolutely take him for any course you can, he is one of the best professors in GCU's COE.
Dr. Danuser is one of the best professors I've had at GCU so far. You can tell he cares about his students and the material he is teaching. He's very experienced and knowledgeable and fosters great class discussion. I learned a lot in his class and I highly recommend his class.
I absolutely loved Dr. Danuser's class this semester. He truly cares about his students and wants to see them succeed. He is very entertaining in the class and makes it very conversational. I would 110% take any class with Danuser any day of the week. Highly recommend him!
Dr. Danuser is by far the best professor I have ever taken a class with. He truly cares about the current and continual success of his students. The class is mostly student led, with the majority of lectures being conversations with the whole class.
Extremely engaging and makes you feel connected with the material. The kind of teacher I hope to be.
Dr. Danuser is literally the best professor that I have had at GCU. He is the kindest, most caring professor who truly cares about us. I would recommend having him for any class, he's literally the best.
I would take this class 100 more times if I had the chance. Danuser cares for each and every one of his students and takes the time to make sure his class is a safe space to receive and give feedback. He also makes participating in conversations easy and fun. Plus, the dad jokes are funny (most of the time) HIGHLY recommend this professor!
Dr. Danuser was my first professor after switching from nursing to elementary education. He is such a caring professor who is willing to go the extra mile to help a student succeed. He allows the class to lead discussions which I heavily benefitted from because instead of following a boring lecture we got to learn from each others experiences!
While Prof. Danuser is such a kind human, his teaching style is not great. Most of the time in class was spent listening to peers talk about their personal lives with little relevance to the class content. If you want an easy A, this is the class to take, but if you actually want to learn something, I would suggest another teacher.
Dr. Danuser is SO AMAZING!!! I loved taking his class. Take him if you can!
Professor Danuser is by far my favorite professor, a great guy, and great at teaching.
I genuinely enjoyed Dr. Danuser's class so much. He cares about his students and is extremely accommodating. His main priority is that his students actually understand the material, so he uses a LOT of class discussion and interaction. Be prepared to make friends and learn applicable information in his class.
Dr. Danuser is not only very engaging and funny, but he also has years of expertise and a story for all situations. His lectures feel like more of a conversation, and he allows in class time to work on assignments. He is the best professor I have had at GCU. Take him if you can!
I had Danuser back in 2020 a little bit before the stay-at-home orders started. I unfortunately have not been to campus since that semester and I am now a senior at GCU. He is hands-down my favorite professor from GCU ever. My major is secondary education and my student teaching is in the fall. I'm definitely choosing him for that class.
Dr. Danuser is very entertaining and engaging and cares deeply for all of his students and the school. He has lots of expertise from working in many different school settings and is one of the best professors at GCU.
Danuser has been the best professor I have ever had. He's so knowledgeable in various fields but is still so open to learning new things! He is against lectures and lets the class lead the discussion talking about their experiences. He never assigns any unnecessary or "busy work" as he says he wants us to get something out of every assignment.
Dr. Danuser is the best and really cares for his students!
Best professor I have had!
Dr. Danuser is caring and understanding. He modified every assignment in this class to make it applicable to our future careers, and he was flexible with due dates because of practicum hours. He can talk quite a bit, but he's entertaining and says things of value. He is knowledgeable and experienced, and he'll love you if you bring him pastries.
Danuser is the most knowledgeable man I have ever met in my life. He finds value in each of his students and loves engaging in conversations with us. He is engaging and never gives long boring lectures. I wish he taught more elementary-focused classes because I would be fine with Danuser being my only professor. He is the teacher I want to become.
Dr. Danuser was kind, caring, and a good professor. My only complaint is that he is extremely repetitive. Class always goes the entire hour 45. He has lots of experience and connections, so utilize him outside of class!
Dr. Danuser is the best professor I have ever had! He has a lot of knowledge, engages his students, is a fair grader and you notice that he loves his students. He is caring and thoughtful and will really try to get to know you. He usually changes assignments. He has clear communication though and they are changing to more meaningful and less work.
Dr. Danuser is such a good professor! He knows what he is talking about, and has a lot of knowledge. He is very accessible outside of class, and also very responsive. The expectations for assignments are very clear. If you attend class, and participate in lecture, you will do good on tests. Read the textbook if you can.
He is awesome!
Danuser is my favorite professor ever. He actually builds relationships with his students and has so many experiences. If you're trying to be a teacher definitely take his class. Also alters the assignments to make them easier for the class. Class is a full hour and 45 mins but honestly don't mind bc its so interesting and fun.
Dr. Danuser is a great professor who cares so much about what he teaches. I would recommend him for any course and would gladly take him again. He has 40+ years of experience, and it shows through the way he conducts class. Definitely take him if you can!!
Dr. Danuser was a great professor! He truly cares about his students and was one of my only professors who actually knew my name. He will change up assignments to make them easier so don't try and work ahead because the assignment will most likely change. He lectures some but tries to apply it to our lives!
Dr. Danuser is one of the best in the business. He cares about his students individually and leads great discussions that foster friendships in his classroom. Dr. Danuser differentiates lesson plans to meet the needs of his class as a whole and he really understands the task that is put on students. Would take again and recommend every time!!!
I absolutely love this professor and would go back and take a class with him again for fun if I could. You should probably study a little for the tests but if you go to class and just pay attention (I have never taken notes, not my thing) you will do well. He loves making connections with his students and really makes an effort to get to know you.
Danuser is one of the best professors I have had at GCU. He teaches, grades, and gives tests in a way that is not confusing. He truly cares for his students. If you need extra time on an assignment, he will work with you. Take his class!!
This is my second time taking one of Danuser's classes. He is one of my favorite professors at GCU. He truly cares for his students. He will work with you if you need more time on an assignment and need help. He is the best!
This is the second time I have taken Prof. Danuser, and he is amazing. Highly recommend him for any course. He is attentive, very gracious, wise, and promotes great discussion in his classes. His feedback and criteria for any assignment are very clear and helpful.
One of the best teachers I've ever had. Truly cares for all his students and goes out of his way to make sure they are seen and heard. His lectures are also very well done and easy to follow and understand.
Genuinely one of my favorite professors. I wish he taught more courses for my path but everyone should take him! He does teach for the whole class but I promise his lectures are always entertaining. He adds many personal stories to the content which helps us learn and his tests are very applicable to what we learn in class. & He allows late work!
Dr. Danuser is a great person. However, he seemed like he either didn't love to teach this course or he didn't love the class. He often talked about personal stories which was fine but it made the class go on long. I don't feel like I learned as much as I had hoped during this course. He also would get sassy with me sometimes which was annoying.
TAKE HIM!! he was amazing and If I could take any more of his courses I would. he was so caring, he made all the lectures conversational and he wanted us to learn not just memorize facts and names of people. He was super understanding as I got hurt during the semester and he was so accommodating to me before SDS even processed my requests.
Very fun in class and explains assignments very well. He modifies assignments so they better fit the class and makes them simpler. He always provided feedback and thing we can improve on and how. He was very easy to approach.
Amazing professor please take him. He is very involved in the class, always sharing stories and making the class more enjoyable. Best professor I've had at GCU hands down.
Dr. Danuser is an AMAZING professor! He takes the time to try to learn about all of his students and appreciates conversation. I had him my sophomore year first semester then again my junior year second semester and he still remembered me by name. I think he truly has a passion for education and it is clear through how he teaches. TAKE HIM 100%
Dr. Danuser is so caring and genuine! He has a relationship with every student and knows them by name. He goes off topic and tells stories, but it is always beneficial and nice to hear as he was an English teacher for a long time. He is so easy to talk to and makes it so you always want to be in class. Take his classes!
Dr. Danuser is unbelievably kind and caring. I had a lot of different opinions than him and he was always up for a challenge and didn't take it personally. He cares about student's lives outside of school and wants to keep up with us as people. Amazing professor and person.
The nicest guy with the best experience! He has so much wisdom!
Amazing Professor! He truly puts in hard work and effort because he cares for his students. Not to mention his top notch feedback on assignments that shows that he reads it all and acknowledges it all. Students truly learn a lot in his class. Highly recommend!
Professor Danuser is the best! He is super understanding and forgiving. I had a family emergency while in his class and he helped me so much getting caught up with everyone so much that I was still able to get an A. He genuinely cares about his students. He is also super funny and keeps class interesting. Participation is super important to him!!
Professor Danuser is the BEST he is caring, funny, and inspirational. He helped me grow so much in my faith all while being an amazing teacher. He's incredibly gracious and I would recommend him to everyone! Definitely one of my most inspirational and amazing teachers! Big Danuser fan!!
Dr. Danuser was the best professor I've had so far at GCU. If you can switch into his class DO IT. He has hilarious stories, he's kind, forgiving, and his assignments are very easy for a college course. I also learned so much in his class and I was not expecting to get so much out of it. Very group discussion led in the course I took with him.
I loved his class so much. We did have class discussions a lot which isn't a problem for me. You can tell that he loves his job and cares for his students. When I wasn't sure about certain assignments, he would help me one on one and is very clear on grading criteria. Overall, loved his class
He's very sweet and funny. Cares a lot about students and gives grace for extensions, late grades, etc. Fair grader, but doesn't just give out A's. Would take this class again, learned a lot and easy A.
He always posts slides and discussion outlines for class so you know what we will be going over in class. 3 exams (including final). There are a couple projects throughout the year, they were all fairly easy as long as you pay attention in class and understand the material. He is a very understanding guy and always helps when you need it.
I love Professor Danuser, he's a really good teacher, and he brought in a lot of personal in life examples so it was easy to relate and learn things. He was a really nice grader, but his tests are 100 questions, they are mostly multiple-choice.
I loved Professor Danseur's class! He is so kind and truly cares for his students. I highly recommend taking his classes
