Paul is a good teacher, however, I had to drop his class because it was way too hard for some one that wasn't enrolled there the first week.

Likes to pick up on the female students. He even had the nerve to pick up on a teacher's daughter. Overall, he makes politics interesting for the semester - for that I'm thankful.

First college class I took after being out of high school for 10 years. It was by far the best class I've ever taken. His political stories remain embedded in my mind, which is very helpful in understanding our system of government.

Paul definitely knows his politics but sometimes gets wrapped up and off subject with his stories. He also is very into his Dr. status. Plays favorites and flirts with certain female students and it gets really annoying. No need for textbook... I didn't open mine once. Tests were purely from notes.

Awesome teacher. Great sense of humour.

Paul is an amazing teacher, I recommend both classes to everyone. He has a completely unbiased approach to teaching politics which is rare these days. You can barely tell that he is conservative, he doesn't let it influence his teaching.

Lost of fun!

he has an amazing energy about him! he is always enthusiastic about the subject he is teaching and gives relatable examples.

Very energetic, and VERY definitive on his political views, which makes for great debate. Tests are difficult, but the class was great; very entertaining. I think it's great to walk into a class and hear your professor singing along to Sade! :)

Dr. Davis is fun!! He didn't ask for more than we could do and he keep us entertained!!

Without a doubt, one of the best teachers I've had at TMCC. Too bad he won't be teaching speech anymore.

Dr. Davis is really great. His class was a lot of fun. If you show up for the lectures and pay attention you should get a good grade. The book really isn't needed. If you miss a lecture and can't or don't get notes you are better off looking on terms online than in the book.

Mr. Davis is one of my favorite professors I have ever had! I would definitely take this class, even if you aren't very interested in the subject. He has one big paper that if you just do the requirements he asks for, you should get at least a C!

His enthusiasm is infectious! He has amazing stories and knows his subjects. He is organized and gets through a lot of material, but doesn't make it boring. I was VERY surprised to not hear him preach any of his personal opinions regarding politics!! GREAT teacher!! I would recommend to anyone!!

Great teacher. Before I took this class I didn't have any interest in politics but by the end of this class I can have an intelligent conversation and actually know who I want to vote for. His Quizes can be a little hard. He is very organized, always grades quickly and gets back to you quickly if you need help. He is thorough and fair.

He was a very great teacher, and he kept the interest level high as long as you were willing to participate. His tests involved listening closely to the lectures and notes are a big help, but he gives you all the major ideas before each test. Pretty easy!

Took this as an online course. Quiz and discussion questions are pretty easy and straightforward. Responds to emails promptly. Very helpful and understanding. Allows multiple attempts on quizzes.

Mr. Davis is a teacher that is straight up and honest. His lectures are everything that will be on his tests. If you pay attention and are not a talker, you will get an A. Just study your notes and respect your teacher and you will learn alot and enjoy taking his class. He is very funny and makes this class interesting. GREAT TEACHER!

Easy online course. Basically you need to be motivated to do the work and its that simple. Work at your own pace on the quizzes, you get 2 tries for each one. No final. Discussion topics are due every other week and those are all on your own opinions, so pretty easy.

I think Dr. Davis is a great teacher. He may tell stories that have nothing to do with what you are learning, but they are funny, and keep a person interested in what he is saying. I know more now then I did before his classs. You take 4 tests, and write one paper. He gives you everything you need to pass.

If you get anything less than an A in this class it is your own fault! Dr. Davis reviews everything that is on the study guide that is handed out at the beginning of the semester. There are absolutely no surprises on his tests.

I took his class online last summer. It was pretty easy. I received an A. I didn't interact much with him but he seems really nice and flexible. His lessons were somewhat interesting. Quizzes and writing assignments were easy. Final was easy as well. I would recommend him! Highly. He doesn't bombard you with a ton of homework! Nice guy.

Great guy! He gives you positive and constructive feedback for every assignment. He really shows he cares about his students learning and enjoying the class. AMGOV, the text book, is very contemporary and something I would have read even outside of class. I wish all teachers could give feedback and help like he does.

I had very little interest in the subject prior to taking his class, he makes the material fun and easy to learn considering he gives you all the terms you'll need to know for the tests. pay attention, and keep track of the terms you've covered, and I used flash cards, ended up with the highest grade in all his classes

I loved taking this class with Dr. Davis. He was very straight forward in his assignments and gave helpful feedback. I also liked that this class is self paced and has no tests; only quizzes, discussions, and one essay. I would definitely recommend taking this class!

Stay ahead of the workload and it will be easy. I was reluctant to take this class with the fear I was overloading myself. In the end, I was fine. The quizzes are open book and to get two chances at them. Dr. Davis is quick to respond and cares about his students.

Dr. Davis was a great teacher. He made learning about Gov't fun and easy. He gives you all the info you need to get an A and gives you plenty of time to study. If anyone did fail the class it is because they have absolutely no discipline, or drive to become educated.

Dr. Paul Davis makes class fun! He is always telling stories and jokes. His class is fairly easy just show up and take notes. Dr. Paul Davis is one of the best professors of all time!! HIGH RECOMMEND

Dr. Davis is a wonderful instructor. I would love to take more classes by him. The class was paced well. If you do the work you will do well. He gives great comments and is always available for questions. highly recommend.

If you show up and take notes. You will pass. He is funny, and tries to make it fun. He has a very low voice and wears a microphone so you can hear him better. His class is 3-100 Question tests and 1-50 Question Class and a mandatory Research paper. Don't freak out if you listen to his lecture and take notes you will pass!!!!

Go to class and take good notes, you'll be fine. Had to study a lot for each test, bc he tests you on small details he causally mentions during lectures. However, he grades the research paper very easily, so don't worry if you wait till the last minute. Very funny and made class interesting, would take him again!

Paul Davis is the BEST professor I've ever had at TMCC. This is the only class I've ever looked forward to going to. He gives you a list of terms that will be on the test. If it's on the study guide, know it. He's up front about what he expects and is a great teacher.

I took him online for spring 2015, super easy and self paced class. I did the readings of each chapter and did quit fine on the quizzes. I wrote out all the quizzes on a word document to reference later for the final and that helped a lot! His paper is really easy and there is only one! He is an easy grader and answers any questions you could have!

I enjoyed political science because of Dr. Davis. He is clear, fair and knowledgeable. I would definitely take him again.

I took this class online during the summer semester. Just follow the instructions for the discussions and you'll be fine. He grades really fast which is awesome (next day). All tests are due by the last day of the semester.

I took the online class for Fall 2015. What he expects from you is very clear cut, just follow the rubrics word-by-word and you'll be just fine! He gives great feedback and there to help you out when you have any questions on anything.

Dr. Davis is one of the best professors I've had the pleasure of learning from in my college career! He's passionate about Political Science and really encourages students to analyze the coursework and discussions (online class). I'd gladly take another course from Dr. Davis in a heartbeat!

Best professor at TMCC!

I took the PSC online 1 unit class for transfer credits, other than a Bunch of reading it was very straight forward and self-passed. I also enjoyed his comic sense of humor. If PSC was my major I would stick with him, hes passionate about teaching this topic.

Dr. Davis wants you to succeed. He gives great feedback, and answers questions promptly. I took PSC101 online, and did well. Great professor.

Dr. Davis was down-to-Earth, and he genuinely cares about his students. He took the liberty of posting all the reading material on the canvas site so we didn't have to waste money on textbooks. He was clear with his assignments and grading criteria. Also, he wants his students to succeed without giving all this pointless busy work. No extra fat.

Dr. Davis gave fantastic feedback to the required discussions. He grades extremely fast and is also quick to respond to emailed questions. Dr. Davis was a great online professor! He responded to emails and graded assignments quickly. He had all the quizzes and homework available from the beginning of the course so we could work ahead. Lots of reading, but quizzes and discussion boards were easy if you did the reading.

Dr. Davis is an amazing online professor! For an online summer course it was a lot of assignments and material to go through in a short time, but it was mostly easy reading and funny YouTube videos. He gives great feedback on your assignments and any questions you may have as well.

I never thought this would be my favorite course so far! Dr. Davis is an amazing teacher-even comes across in online courses! He grabs your attention & really draws you in. His passion is contagious. I took Dr. Davis for a summer session and finished a majority of the course in 2 days and got an A in the class. He provides the chapters for you and you take a short quiz on each chapter. There was a short 3 page research paper and a few discussion posts. Overall an easy and enjoyable class.

I took this class in summer and literally loved it. It was the easiest class I ever took. Professor Paul is very nice and quick to give a feedback. He cares about the students and definitely want them to succeed. Great person and a respected professor. I would definitely recommend his class.

Best professor I've had. Super genuine and caring, left you to do the work on your own (self-paced) but almost weekly discussions and one research paper was due. Not a difficult class at all as most of the info is taught in high school. Just read the text he gives you in each module before quiz, no textbook. REALLY RECCOMEND if you need the credit.

Dr. Davis is a fantastic instructor. if he taught al of the poltical science classes, i would probably think about getting another degree in PSC. He's caring and allows the class to be self paced so you can work on it on your own time through the semester. overall great class, and great professor!

Took his PSC100 online course and it was good. He is extremely polite and willing to help. Responds to emails quickly. The tests were straightforward and from the readings. The paper wasn't difficult either. Put in some effort and you'll get an A. I completed the entire course in 2 weeks.

Earned a 98%. Everything is open book, so its impossible to fail. He also encourages you to use the book as well. Assignments are not locked, self paced course. Finished all assignments in less than 3 weeks, all while being a full time in seat student and employee. Do not be afraid to ask him questions. He constantly sends the class jokes. Easy A

I truly enjoyed taking this class. You will learn a lot. This class was my first online summer class and I didn't feel overwhelmed with the assignments. Do the reading and you will definitely pass all the quizzes. There is one paper and it is very interesting and fun. I highly recommend taking this class for your U.S./NV Constitution credits.

He is an amazing teacher and I would 100% take him again. I do not like history. Third time taking a history class because I failed my other 2. I got an A in this class. He tells you what he wants done, He replies fast, gives you information on everything. and hes very interactive. Really nice and funny 12/10

where do i even begin, this professor is AMAZING. Even though i didn't get to meet him in person due to Covid, his emails to our class always put a smile on my face. you definitely need to read the chapters in the book because the quizzes are unique but not hard. you have one 3-5 page research paper. you have access to all of it from the begining.

Very easy class. Amazing Professor. There are about 12-15 quizzes which are easy 10 point multiple choice. I finished about two months early. Everything on the quizzes is in the book. About three discussions and he sends jokes everyday. This old man has great humor and is a fast replies. Definitely recommended and I would take his class twice more!

Easiest class I have ever taken. 12 OPEN BOOK quizzes word for word answers in the textbook. Just read the textbook and you will do great. Passed every quiz 15/15. 4 discussion posts (250 words, no replies to ppl, just answer the questions asked. They are all opinion-based), and one 3 page paper. I only missed 1 point for the class. So easy.

Super easy summer class. 15 quizzes, 1 Nevada test, 4 discussions, and 1 essay are all that were due for the entire class. He emails jokes every week day and responds to emails/assignments surprisingly fast. Even though there are controversial topics discussed, he is very respectful throughout the assignments. Definitely take him!

He is a really funny teacher, sends out daily memos like shower thoughts and the class is interesting. If you research what your writing about he will see that and give you a good grade. he elaborates on why he gives you the grade he does.

Dr. Davis had a series or open textbook quizzes due at the end of the semester, a few short discussions due every week or so, and a essay due at the end of the semester. We were able to choose the topic of our essay from a list. Dr. Davis is hilarious, gives good feedback, and grades almost instantly. What's required for the class is very clear.

One of the best professors that I have had so far. He gives very good feedback. From begging on his syllabus he lets you know what has to be done and you can work ahead just as long as assignments are turned in before or on the due date. I would highly recommend this class for an easy grade and not so stressful.

GREAT teacher! I took this class online and everyday he sent out these funny messages that always made me laugh. The class (quizzes) is very oriented on the textbook, but if you read the material you'll be fine. There is a 3-5 page research paper however, you can start it as early as you want. I would definitely have Davis as a teacher again!!

I took this class during the summer and it was relatively easy. A discussion was due every Sunday and there were about 15 chapters and quizzes. Everything was open book and he gives you plenty of time. There is one research essay but he lets you pick from a list of topics. He's really funny and grades fast. I enjoyed his class. Every weekday he'd send us a dad joke lol. The majority of learning was through quizzes (11) self paced, not locked, in which all answers were in the chapter or a few found online. Most "difficult" thing was 1 compare and contrast essay, so keep tabs on comparisons between US & NV Constitutions throughout and you'll do great :)

Great Class! Everything is open to you as soon as the semester is started. Go at your own pace. Biggest thing is a 3-5 page paper but don't stress about it. Just spend some time and it will get done. No need to buy the book, he gives it to you! He sends cheesy funny jokes everyday! This class is a stress free class! Take Him!

Dr. Davis was a charm. Entire class is self-paced. 13 OPEN BOOK chapter quizzes and each didn't take long to read. 5 discussions with a 250-word minimum where you answer a few questions. I hate political science but this was one of my favorite classes that I've taken at TMCC. He opened up the entire semester so that you could do it at your own pace. The work wasn't difficult if you put the time in. He was an amazing professor. Very understanding and an amazing sense of humor, especially for being online. Sent out weekly dad jokes.

I took this class Asynchronous online in late-Spring, so it is easy to fall behind. Amazing Professor. Very detailed submission comments. Daily dad jokes.

Mr. Davis is amazing. Sends out funny quotes sometimes about things on his mind. I ended up getting a 100% on the one paper that we had. Probably one of the easiest classes I have ever taken in my life. Davis runs the class pretty straightforward and is extremely sweet.

His course was set up so that you could complete the assignments at your own pace I have been able to keep in touch with him since I took his class and he still genuinely cares about me and my school career.

Due dates for quizzes are all at end of course, only strict due dates are for discussion posts and one paper, but they are interesting and not difficult, I finished everything about a month in. This is the most fun and feedback-driven instructor I've ever had. Material is engaging and writing based. I wasn't afraid to express my views, and the topics were interesting. We get dad-jokes emailed to us everyday and the final day we received an encouraging email to never give up on our dreams. Something many of us should need reminding of.

He spaced out his assignments so you could go at your leisure, but didn't make them due all the same time, so you also could procrastinate. He provided excellent feedback on all writing assignments and sent jokes every day. Great profesor I highly recommend!!
