paul is awesome-his approach to the environment/conservation/sustainability, as well as to action and searching for soul in the earth is inspiring- by far my FAVORITE prof of ALL time- kind, takes classes camping, patient, knows so much. also does amazing research in AUS and has a great way of teaching. super cool & i highly recommend his classes!
great prof! the material is interesting, both lectures and reading
Paul is awesome. He's the number one stunner on Pitzer's campus.
Scruffy and fun, this professor is smarter than he knows. He knows his subject inside and out, but is never pompous. He is one of those teachers that changes lives, and he really cares about his students. You can tell that he loves his job!
Paul is one of the finest profs you'll find anywhere. I rated him a 2 for easiness, but his classes are really as easy or as difficult as you make them. You could almost slide by, but if you are a motivated student, watch out! You'll work your butt off. Paul offers up great stuff, and it is up to the student to run with it.
specializes in the abstract. if this scares you, don't take the course
Excellent teacher that promotes discussion and cultivates different stylistic interpretations. His teaching methods are student friendly and he is always prepared to motivate and encourage students in their development. Definitely is hot chilli.
Paul Faulstich is a wonderful professor. I'm honored to have had him. Discussions in class are wonderful, and he is extremely helpful. It would be a shame to go to Pitzer and never take one of his classes.
I don't understand why everyone seems to like him so much. This class was boring and seemed to have no purpose. I learned nothing, and I did the assignments, read the books, and went to class. He seems like he'd be an okay prof if he were actually teaching something, but this class was just pointless.
I truly enjoyed his class. The great thing that I realized in writing my final paper is that it was not just an assignment for me and the class wasn't just a learning experience that would end with the semester, but that I would carry those things that I picked up throughout the rest of my college and life experiences. Such an exciting class.
My time at Pitzer prepared me very well to achieve my goals. Faulstich played a significant role in inspiring me to pursue my path and to continue my education so I can keep exploring new cultures. I was very grateful for having taken his class working with the kids in Bernard Field Station!
paul is awesome-his approach to the environment/conservation/sustainability, as well as to action and searching for soul in the earth is inspiring- by far my FAVORITE prof of ALL time- kind, takes classes camping, patient, knows so much. also does amazing research in AUS and has a great way of teaching. super cool & i highly recommend his classes!
This class was extremely interesting, and the final projects produced by students were great. 32 reading reports were demanding, but ensured that we did the reading. Prof. Paul makes this class fun and captivating.
Professor Faulstitch restored my faith in humanity!
His class moved me from dispear to action.
Great Professor. great College. Has a big heart. Makes dumb puns (okay, but they are kinda funny). Has excellent stories of his field research in Australia.
One thing that strikes you about Profesor Faulstich is his commitment to his field. He "walks the talk" in environmentalism. His teaching style is relaxed yet demanding, and he has high standards for his students. While he is not over-the-top difficult, he certainly encourages and expects students to do our best. With him, its a pleasure.
Thank you so much, and you are one of the kindest teachers I've ever had.
He gave me my activist inspiration and my academic direction.
Very approachable, very intelligent, very committed.
I came to him with a concern about a grade he gave me on a paper. I know going in to the class that he isn't an easy grader, but still I was unhappy with what I got. He listened to me carefully, re-read my paper, asked me questions about, told me his perspective, and ultimately adjusted my grade slightly. He was fair and made me feel comfortable.
I appreciate the pedagogical democracy that he set up in the course. The environment is comfortable, almost nurturing, and the feedback I received was invaluable.
You may think a film class on the environment sounds easy, but Paul makes sure this is not your slack-off class. 8 5-page essays are required, each worth 7.5% of the overall grade. And he doesn't just hand out A's. An interesting class at times, but too much busy work compared to the amount of time spent discussing.
A fun class, but quite demanding. Readings are all good, discussion is well led, and Prof. Faulstich approaches the subject with a fluid, open, and brilliant mind.
Because of his modesty, he won't tell you this unless you probe, but Prof. Faulstich is a Fulbright Scholar, an internationally recognized anthropologist, a Watson Fellow, and a Pitzer alum. Make him tell you stories; he has some amazing ones!
This is a WONDERFUL class; I have learned a ton (!) more in this class than in many others -- all without some of the bureaucracy and busy work that sadly often accompanies even college-level courses. I really enjoyed writing my final paper too and learned a ton, only to realize there's so much more to know as well.
Critical Environmental News. I have really loved this class, it's been an eye-opener and a really good experience overall.
He has been so influential and positive in my life. One of the biggests things I have learned about is BALANCE - balance in nature, balance in my academic pursuits, and balance within myself. In addition to stimulating me academically, he encouraged me to develop into a healthy and balanced yound woman ready to take on the Real World!
I had Paul as a teacher in the Costa Rica program. His seminar focussed on the petroglyphs and pre-Columbian history of Pitzer's Center for Restoration Ecology. His seminar was fascinating, hands-on, and crystal clear despite the abstract nature of some of the material. This section of the program really got me and other students excited.
I don't know if he understands what a difference he's made in my life. Thank you for being my adviser, and for helping me know what it's like to be seen, heard, and respected.
Voted one of the top 10 professors of the Claremont Colleges for good reason. Check him out!
Professor Falstich is the walking embodiment of the Pitzer past, present and future (sort of the 3 ghosts of ****ens "a Christmas carol" rolled into one person).
Do not take environmental education unless you want a disgustingly easy, pointless class. It may seem like a great idea, but you learn literally nothing except how to hang out with kids (which you can do without using course time). Class time was the dullest of my life. Take a different class with him -he's supposed to be a good prof.
I thought that Environmental education was one of the most interesting and challenging that I have taken. Sure, a lot of it is basic education stuff, but learning about pedagogy, the sage scrub environment and learning theory was not easy, and in order to teach well there is a LOT of ourside work required. The service learning component is great!
I'm a Pitzer alum. Recently I got together with other environmental studies grads, and we reminisced about our time at Pitzer and how much we missed it. We also all gushed about how great Paul is and how we miss his classes!
Professor Faulstich is one of the worst professors I have ever come across. His mediocrity expresses itself most clearly in simple capability. He has no historical knowledge of the topics covered. He could not defend a single argument he made with me. He does not teach as much as espouse ideology. DO NOT TAKE HIM!
Here's what I know about Professor Faulstitch: He's one of the "top ten" in claremont according to The Student Life. He's caring and friendly, really smart, knows his topic, is fair, and helpful. This class was one of the best I've taken in Claremont and it exposed me to different ways of thinking about the environment and Nature.
Coming from Taiwan, I was nervous about my ability. But when I recall what I have learned grateful that I took his class. It helped me express myself in a language I am still finding a way to manipulate. I have never seen any instructor as humorous and helpful to students as him! My experience of this class will be one of my best memories of CGU.
Super smart, fair, and teaches important topics.
I adore paul faulstich! He is a wonderful and funny (and sometimes inspiring) lecturer. I would be careful about taking ethnoecology with him. There is not enough material to hold the class together.
Excellent approach to connecting humans and the environment in a critical and productive way. Professor Faulstich is really helpful and super interesting.
Professor Faulstich has a great teaching style. He was good at balancing lectures and discussions and did both really well. He is an amazing teacher and a very supportive professor who is always willimng to meet outside of class. I love that he challenges his students and treats them fairly. I think this class is a must-take for all E.S. majors.
In Progress and Oppression, Professor Faulstich explores the intersection between environmental degredation and human rights abuses. He does so in a masterful way, allowing students to pursue areas of particular interest to themselves. His lectures are interesting and inspirational, and the discussions he leads are fruitful. Great Prof/course!
I love him! Paul has a way of making complex interactions between people and the environment understandable. And, he helps students find ways to make a positive difference in the world. He really helped me see the connections between my own actions and their environmental consequences (without making me feel guilty).
Prof is great. He's kind and really smart, and he cares about his students. I took Restoring Nature from him, and we were working hands on in the Pitzer Outback to make the area more ecologically balanced. It was great work, and I dcame to learn a ton about local ecosystems.
Restoring Nature. Paul is very clear and approachable and willing to help students. I have learned a lot from him and greatly appreciated his ideas and values. He encouraged student input and opinions throughout the course. I greatly appreciate Paul's work and dedication to the projects we undertook. He is a valuable asset to Pitzer College.
helped me get a mellon grant. gave great feedback and lots of advice. he's has a fulbright fellowship, a watson grant, and a ton of others, so he knows his stuff. haven't had him in class but everyone says he's among the best of the best.
kind, smart, accomplished. paul teaches course that can help us change the world.
this class has students working in the pitzer outback, restoring it so that eneryone can enjoy its wild beauty. Paul's classes often engage students in hands-on efforts to make the campus more sustainable and beautiful. A great way to learn. I love being outdoors learning about the local ecosystem.
Paul really helped me develop the tools to do the kind of research i am interested in; for that I am grateful. I really enjoyed our class discussions, and Paul was one of my best, most engaging professors. His style brings depth of knowledge, but humility, which allows us as a class to engage him in a conversation that helped me think freely.
I felt entirely comfortable and supported, and had a professor with a knowledge base which we could rely on.
Senior seminar challenged me to stand by my views, argue them articulately, and to also open myself to new ideas. I appreciate all of Prof. Faulstich's advice as an advisor and as a friend
I'm not an EA major, but Faulstich is great and I'm so glad I got to take a class with him while at Pitzer. He really cares and he'll definitely notice if you make an effort in the class and show interest.
Dr. Faulstich cares deeply about his students' success. Always willing to offer help when needed, he is an amazing example of a professor who cares as much about his students'work as he does about the subject he teaches. His compassion, insights and support helped me tremendously. It was a privilege to work with him.
Fantastic course. Paul is a great professor--helpful, good listener, balanced critic.
I really enjoyed this class. This one not only had an intellectual in class component, but also an additional restoration component in which I was able to apply theories we discussed in class and read about. I felt that this enhanced my learning experience by adding a tangible component to the readings and in-class discussions.
Always great! Paul is really invested in his students and it shows. He has a LOT of knowledge to share and expects the best from his students.
Paul is a great instructor and provides honest feedback and thoughtful challenges to students. His feedback is helpful in creating a holistic vision of the problems faced locally and worldwide. This course is a great capstone - It really helped solidify the knowledge I've acquired throughout my studies. I highly recommend this course.
I really appreciated this course because we were able to explore our own research interests for the entire semester. I also appreciated Dr. Faulstich because he was very accessible and supportive of our projects and pushed us to challenge ourselves in positive ways.
One of the most enlightening classes I've taken thus far in college!
Awesome semester! This class blew my mind. Really.
Faulstich did a great job of demonstrating the power each of us have to make positive changes and challenged students to think of their own creative, implementable solutions. He's a great facilitator of discussion and really serves to support students. He asked a lot of his students but was also incredibly available to help.
We read about the industrialized world's exploitation of indigenous/underserved peoples in their quest for progress. We also learned about our role in this as an industrialized nation and what we can do to help change the situation.I really enjoyed this class. It was well organized and the instructor was passionate about what he was teaching.
It was much more engaging than many classes I have taken so far. Paul is a very effective teacher. Work load meaningful, challenging and appropriate. Lectures were informative. Ranks as one of the better ones. Interesting course, good readings, and most importantly, multiple viewpoints presented, which does not happen often at Pitzer.
Not only were we helping restore the Outback, we were doing the research to do it right. A great class. We were asked to think critically of our own connection to nature. Paul is extremely helpful and effective as a professor; always available and grades assignments faster than any other professor.
Professor Faulstich has high standars but is also flexible.Students can propose something that we want to focus on, and with his feedback he'll let us run with it.His class gives students agency in helping to form the look and ecology of our campus.
Paul Faulstich is a superb professor, very personal, and very enthusiastic both in the classroom and when we were working in the Outback.
I recommend taking this class, if you want to leave dumber. Discussions are a strong word for what happens in class as he just spouts what he thinks and calls you an idiot otherwise. Fridays are spent picking weeds, almost as fun as it is pointless.
Restoring the Outback is a social responsibility course, as it pertains to Pitzer's core values. The restoration of the Outback also required extensive work in contrast to other classes without this hands-on component. It was a class I surely enjoyed. A good teacher makes the subject matter as opposed to the subject matter forming the teacher.
Inspirational and committed. Thanks to Paul for all he does for the Pitzer students & community. I positively rave about him!
I did not enjoy the class. Waste of time and my parents' money. I think that Paul is a bit full of it. I quite like being outside and digging holes and stuff but I never should have taken a class in it... why was this class even offered? Hopefully this remains the worst educational experience I have at Pitzer.
He is one of my favorite professors at Pitzer. I adore the material, and he expects a lot out of his students, which was a challenge I was more than willing to accept. I feel like I learned so much in this class and that I was given the freedom to explore any track that I wanted in the daily 2-page reading responses and the final paper.
Paul is a great, interesting, and easy professor! Take any class you can with him
He is one professor I never will forget. He has an insane amount of knowledge, offers constant encouragement, and is kindhearted.
Paul is one of the best teachers I've had so far at Pitzer. The goals of the course were clear, the work reasonable and interesting, and the class generally engaging. He's extremely caring and in touch with the tug students feel from so many angles, yet he expected a high quality of work and encouraged a hearty work ethic.
This one of the most memorable classes I have ever taken at Pitzer. I truly had a wonderful experience in this class.
One of the fairest professor's I have ever had. Never any surprises, very understanding and helpful. I feel like I learned more in this class being that it was so independent and interactive than I have in other courses.
I recommend this course to anyone seeking to expand awareness of the relationship between Western and indigenous societies, particularly of how the political and economic dominance of Western culture has resulted in ignorance of helpful and he connects his experiences to our work and encourages critical thinking.
There is only one Paul Faulstitch. He brings a unique perspective to his teaching, and challenges us to see things in a new light while respecting our view points. He's always pushing us to seek far reaching solutions to our gravest environmental and social problems, all the while helping us appreciate nature's complexity.
this has been an incomparable experience in terms of taking the things I've learned and making a concrete, tangible sort of difference with the new knowledge obtained. I always felt comfortable to speak in class. Paul is an accessible and thoughtful person, and he makes the effort to become invested in his students' growth.
He's a pretty great professor, he can joke and then turn around and critically analyze a student's argument
Paul is a wonderful professor and I am very glad that I got to know him this semester. He is always understanding and willing to converse, making students feel welcome and heard. I enjoy his discussion based approach in which he immerses himself in the learning process. He is very good at posing questions that force students to critically think.
Paul is the kindest professor in Claremont. You can tell that he really cares about students and loves his work. Also he is a brilliant teacher.
Paul is a great teacher, while he can be a little salty at times, this is what makes Paul, Paul. He does a great job of challenging students and forcing us to critically analyze what we are reading. Paul does a good job giving credit where credit it due and informing students when they are not doing enough. Extremely approachable & always available
Paul Faulstich is a great professor. He knows a lot about the subjects he teaches and is great at sharing his knowledge through photo accompanied lectures. Really enjoyed his lectures, also good at facilitating discussion. Gives his own perspective, but wants to hear yours as well, and the reasoning behind it.
Great prof who does hands-on work with students. He assigns a solid but reasonable amount of work and is a fair grader.
Enjoyed the class, reading and lectures were great. Faulstich is an outstanding professor and is passionate about the topics.
Professor Paul Faulstich is probably more authentic than Pitzer College itself. He lives the core values of the institution in his professional life and that transparently translates to the stuff he has going on outside of the academy. This is a top-notch professor his effectiveness is seen in the works of students he launches into the world.
I would call him inspirational. You won't necessarily learn specific career skills, but you will explore your own ethics, perceptions, and ideas to become a more astute and thoughtful citizen. Very liberal-artsy. Very smart, very caring.
We meet once a week as a class where Paul, who don't get me wrong is a wonderful human, gave irrelevant 3 hour long lectures. The class was not helpful in relationship to the internship component. the internship was fun but be ready to commit around 2 hours a day to planning and one morning. It's a lot of work and if you don't mind boring classes
I loved this class and that it was one of my favorite classes I've ever had in college. I felt like I learned so much, including improving my teamwork skills as well as improving my skills at relating and teaching children.
I wish I had made a connection with him earlier at Pitzer, given the impact he had on me in a short time. In a sea of bureaucratic and surface connections in college, his insights and passion are inspiring. His authenticity - in and beyond the classroom - showed me that you don't have to be cold to be smart and successful.
He's an incredible thinker with a lot of compelling ideas and opinions about our modern world. As a professor though, he's frankly terrible. He feels half present in his classes, where he'll ramble irrelevantly. Feels like he's trying desperately to pass the time, and always feels unprepared. Disappointing professor, awesome guy otherwise.
The class itself is awesome. You get to interact with students from the community in a pretty forward thinking way by teaching them in the BFS! Paul though, as a professor, is lackluster. Goes on rants about nothing, is harsh and unprepared... feels bitter a lot of the time... love the class because of what we get to do, but Paul, not so much.
I have found this class to be transformative, and Professor Faulstich to be supportive and inspirational. I don't at all understand the label of 'bitter' that the previous reviewer made. Faulstich is understanding and eager to help us find meaningful connections between ourselves and nature, and he finds awe and beauty in the world. Inspirational!
He offers a very democratic classroom environment. He's a skilled teacher and facilitator. He cares deeply about his students.
Prof Faulstich has an amazing mind. He puts together different components of a topic to bring fresh insight/meaning. He is unusual and remarkable in the ways he weaves together divergent components. Truly interdisciplinary. I learned to see the world through different lenses because of his challenging but supportive ways of thinking/looking/asking.
He's a great facilitator of this seminar, and allows lots of student autonomy for determining the direction of the course while giving us really helpful input during discussions (and before, when we are planning our presentations). This class is a great 'capstone' for bringing together EA seniors to share, challenge, and extend our learning.
He shows students respect, and offers a democratic space for discussion.
Faulstich is invariably kind, tolerant, thoughtful and challenging.
This semester may have seen my biggest growth spurt as an artist, thanks to this class. My conceptual and critical thinking skills have improved dramatically. I struggle with conceptualizing meaningful pieces and projects. Being in a class with so many diverse artists had a large impact on how I see art & nature
This class challenged my process of thinking about art. I used to perceive art as an entity that I conceptualize after looking at the final product. It seemed impossible for me to conceptualize what Im trying to convey first, and then manifest that in a creative form. Being forced to think in this reversed way really helped me grow as an artist.
Loved the different epistemological approach, it was the most genuinely student lead and organized class I ever taken at Pitzer. I also really appreciate that the workload was predictable and did not have the same high intensity mid and end of term.
I love Paul!! He is a wonderful teacher, but you will only enjoy him and his classes if you are truly interested in what he is teaching. He teaches classes you need to and want to be engaged in, so make sure its something you really care about. He is so profound and really invested in his teaching. Go Paul!!
You are assigned to teach and create lesson plans for 5th graders weekly with group. Paul gives you complete freedom. Readings were only assigned the first half of the semester, since he acknowledges the large time commitment. Super caring and understanding, lectures for the most part were ok. Graded by peers, group midterm paper, and scrapbook.
This is the most amazing prof and class (nature works) ever. Paul inspires so much creativity and growth- he is a magical being. Don't get tripped up with condescending voice though-he is beautiful
Faulstich is ever gracious and generous. I appreciate how he expresses himself in words and the eloquent thoughtful respectful humorous inquisitive aesthetic qualities with which he meets experiences that cross his path. He has honored and instilled into his life the same qualities that exist in the best of nature and share these with students.
I really loved the handson aspect of actually being able to teach students about environmental issues. It made the class really special and I felt like I got so much more out of it than a regular class, since we were actually practicing what we were learning about. Definitely one of my favorite classes.
He gave me the most thorough and useful comments I have ever received on a paper. And he got them to me so quickly! I appreciate his insight, advice, and suggestions; they will be very helpful to me as I continue my research.
He has been a wonderful mentor and teacher over the years! I feel incredibly lucky that I had the chance to learn from Paul in several of his classes. His compassion for the environment is truly an inspiration to me, and I will carry what he taught me for many years to come!
The feedback that I received from him was the most thoughtful, careful and detailed feedback that have I received on my academic work. Also, often, I went back to that when I have moments of despair in my PhD years.
He is effective as a teacher as he is an artist and Environmental Analyst himself. He is compassionate and passionate about what he is teaching. Professor Faulstich is very committed to engaging with the community in Claremont, something that not a lot of professors seem as committed to. He is a wonderful reflection of the core values at Pitzer.
Paul is a true Pitzer LEGEND! I initially took this class because people would admire his work, and also how open he was with sharing with students, in terms of insight and feedback. Lastly, there is a visit at the end of the semester to go to the valley where he sets his cameras that was AMAZING! No other professor has done that before.
This course was amazing. The format was good, we were assigned interesting readings that I enjoyed very much. We had good discussions about most of the readings, but some were not very interesting. The instructor was great. I thought Paul was very kind, very understanding, and had a clear passion for his work that was inspiring.
I have a new appreciation for the environment and art! Taking this class has really opened my eyes to the deeper meanings behind art, particularly going beyond simply aesthetics. I loved the class and learned a lot. I also enjoyed seeing everyones art, and hearing all the good feedback from you and my classmates.
The professor was extremely knowledgeable about aboriginal culture in the Desert, and his photographs from experiences there were beautiful. The daily slideshows were very cool, I feel like I received part of a lifetime of wisdom. There was so much that we learned, and also my eyes were opened to the infinite amount that could be learned.
I loved this course. The professor was very knowledgeable, and it was clear he cared about his students and teaching to all learning types.
Yes! I really enjoyed this class not only because the content was so fun and interesting but also because I didn't feel overwhelmed with work. I definitely spent many nights staying up all night finishing my projects, however it is because I wanted to and I truly enjoyed what I was doing.
Paul Faustich was a great instructor and brought a lot of interesting knowledge to the class. I really enjoyed hearing about his research and work done in Australia.
I just really appreciated how thoughtful the professor was about critiquing our art and encouraging everyone to participate. He succeeded in creating a kind, lovely classroom even though it was digital.
The instructor was amazing at facilitating discussion. Prof. read each students responses prior to class and brought up different takeaways, making sure to include everyone in the discussion. The readings were interesting and thought-provoking. Prof. was always very welcoming and friendly and allowed for meaningful interactions in office hours.
This was the most effective course I have taken over Zoom. The instructor was really helpful and engaged in everyone's projects and, because we had so much liberty to make art we wanted to make, students put a lot of energy into their work. I definitely got the most out of the independent work time and class critique. I used my brain in new ways
For every class discussion he referred to specific comments in our mandatory reading responses. Clearly, he reads each one carefully and integrates student perspectives into class discussion.
He brings to the teaching and learning space the intersection of spirituality, love for nature, and critical thinking.
Wow. Just wow. Such intelligent passion.
I can't imagine it is easy teaching over Zoom, but his class was far and away my favorite course during the pandemic. He has so much knowledge and he shares it in such a kind, welcoming, and engaging way. I truly appreciate how much he cares about the material and our understanding of it
This was such a compelling and provocative course. I admire how he fostered such an engaged and dynamic class with robust discussions online.
I have loved all of my courses at Pitzer thus far, but this one has been my favorite. It addresses climate change and environmental injustices in such an interesting way. It causes you to think differently; to learn about places and peoples without imposing Western assumptions on them. It was a critical course both for my growth.
I love Paul's outlook on teaching, how encouraging he is and the atmosphere he creates even in a virtual setting (really hard to do). The questions he asks about the world are at the root of why I love him so much as a teacher. Questions like "what is the importance of stories, art, mythology" to ecosystems have totally changed the way I think.
The professor is very clearly an expert in the field and yet very humble and kind. I felt that he cared for each and every one of us and chose to teach in a way that responded to the needs of the students, while still maintaining the intellectual rigor and social importance of the topic.
He is a very kind person. Discussion heavy class but it goes by super quickly for a three hour course. The projects are very fun to work on.
This class completely shifted the way I not only think about environmental issues, but also how I see the world. Professor Faulstich deeply changed the way I think about my future and helped me solidify my personal values more than I thought possible in one semester.
Whether it was the thought provoking readings, the fascinating films, or the creative prompts, all aspects of this class inspired me to be creative in the ways that I approach combating the climate crisis.
Professor Faulstich provides opportunities for hands on engagement while also challenging students with theory. He is definitely interdisciplinary in his approach and brings passion and knowledge to the classroom.
INCREDIBLE PROFESSOR! Hes retiring this year but probably the best Pitzer has to offer. Inspired me in countless ways. I will literally never forget my classes with Paul, they completely changed the course of my academic life. Paul if you see this- I loved your teaching and you will be so so so missed
His classes have a warmth to them that is hard to match.
So glad he's back to teach; he's a legend of sorts. He brings a unique perspective to his teachings and he has interesting insight about student's work.
This professor brings a unique perspective to the class. Discussion-heavy but engaging. The projects are fun, and tools like Unstuck ai are helpful for study prep.
I vividly remember my first class with him, Progress and Oppression, when I deeply questioned my understanding of the world. That was my first semester at Pitzer, with no prior knowledge of environmentalism and where we stand on the game of “who pays the price.” I learned and questioned myself so much through our class discussions and readings.
