If this is the professor that I assume it is, he is very good. The best and most patient professor I ever had. I took him for ENG 002 as well as ENG 221. I could not wait to go to class.
Good teacher, very knowledgable about his field. Only thing was that he constantly said that he was going to let others talk, but then talked during the rest of the class. He also seemed a bit touchy. Other than that, if you do the reading, you're ok
he talks to much, but he is pretty easy as long as you participate. you have to speak up in class to get an A. Does anyone ever notice he wears the same blue shirt everyday?!

Good professor, except there was one grade that was graded unfairly on my behalf, and when I presented the issue to several other teachers, they also sided on my behalf. Ruined my winter break. I am still bitter, as I am an A student, not a B student. I deserved an A.
Awesome teacher learned a lot from him, he was very knowledgeable about the material
Haha! This dude was so easy to BS with. Knows nothing. I absolutely didn't do the reading, but I got an A in the class. Talked for an hour and said nothing.
Looks like Peter from The Family Guy. Lots of little group work during class. Fairly easy grading on essays.
Class consists soley on group discussions, but I don't know how much participation figures into final grade. From my experience, he grades high. So, while you do have to write a bunch of essays, it's still an easy class and fairly painless.
He is SO easy!! Every other word he says is certainly. He was boring but its such an easy class to pass...and this is supposed to be the advanced****!
Definetly would recommend him for anyone, even those who dont enjoy english classes...
wow, he does wear the same shirt we figured out last class, but its fairly easy. the essays dont seem to hard yet.
This guy talked so much! Aside from that, easy class.
This guy was a very unhelpful teacher , he likes to dominate the discussion and is extremely mean to foreign students who are not used to the "american way of writing". Killed the joy of shakespeare for me. I would ask people to stay away.
I thought this class was going to be really difficult since it was the double english class, but it was pretty easy. All you have is 4 papers to write. Class is mostly him talking. It is boring, but it's easy.
This guy SUCKS!!!!! He tries to make the class harder than it really is. Overall quality.....he's a d-bag
This is a haynal canal, don't take any of his online classes. he doesn't understand that everyone is not majoring in english.
His class is incredibly boring. He does nothing but babble the whole time... yet he fails to say anything interesting. He's a nice enough guy, I guess, but not a great teacher.
Oh my. Absolutely one of the worst professors on campus. He lectures, asks for input, and interrupts students willing to provide their point of view. He doesn't like differing opinions. It's his way or no way at all. I earned an A in his class...but compared to my first semester of English with a wonderful professor, this class was a downer!
he really does look like peter from family guy. talks alot, 4 papers and 2 terms papers, but not hard, just use ALOT of examples and you should be fine. tries to make us debate about things and no one does, don't sit near him, he sweats alot, fairly interesting books, takes attendance sometimes and when he does, you just sign name on paper.
Easyest online class I have ever taken. Brushed up on some buisness communication skills.
I got A's on all of my papers, which were pretty easy, even though I'm not a huge fan of English classes in general. He definitely expected input from every student during each class. He assigned pretty good reading material, and as long as you actually write the papers, it's an easy class.
Probably one of the most boring classes that I have been in, BUT also one of the easiest classes. All you have to do is read the books and write the papers. He grades very fairly (i got A's on all the papers and i wrote some of them the night before) I would reccomend him.
yes it was a boring class for the most part but it was extremely easy. he grades very fair - i got A's on all my papers which some i wrote the night before. i highly suggest taking his class.
Not a good speaker, comes off rough, horrible instructor, shows no passion for the subject, and is no fun. Never cracked a smile with him.
I took this class during the summer and it was so easy. All you had to do was a read the book and write a paper at the end of the week. Lots of reading but he grades fairly and I never got anything below a B even on papers I know I didnt do my best on.
Took his Literary Non-Fiction course. Highly recommend this class to anyone taking an advanced literature course. The material he chose was provocative and fascinating; the essays we wrote were pointed and educational, encouraging students to strike the heart of the material and think critically.
Hated this class. Took himself way too seriously and never cracked a smile. For an accelerated class he seemed to think he was teaching stupid people. Just spoke and did not allow student participation in discussions or introduction of new ideas. If an idea was different from his it was wrong. Hardly a productive and academic environment.
Very good teacher. grades fairly.
Great Guy! Grades fairly.
Very nice guy.....chooses weird reading matieral, but if you are a good writer, you'll get all A's
All in all a good class. He's fair, and once you get your research paper done, its easy street. Wikipedia minded students beware!
He was pretty cool. Sometimes asked stupid, obvious questions, but is easy to understand in the long run. Grades very fairly, even easily. Just don't use wiki!
If you use Wiki for a source you're an idiot. There is nothing bad I can say about this guy. Took his online class and he was always very helpful. Every post and paper would be returned with useful comments to help you with future writing. Take him if you can.
not an easy teacher if you are lazy
I loved this Professor! I took him for introduction to Shakespeare and enjoyed it immensely. My typical interpretation of a Shakespeare college professor is cocky, arrogant and never wrong, but this professor is exactly the opposite. He enjoys participation and encourages new interpretations while also provided his own. Definitely recommend him!
Good professor. He's very straightforward and offers good advice on papers. He really helped to expand my level of writing.
took him for literary non fiction course and i really liked him. you MUST read. and you MUST go. but other than that he grades easily on papers and discussions are always interesting even if you didn't particularly enjoy the reading piece. I would take him again.. in fact. I I Am!
u MUST go to class. he will fail anyone with more than 7 absences and he expects you to read the assigned literature and turn in homework ON TIME. there r only 4 assignments for eng 121. as long as you have the correct topic, structure, and mla format you'll get an A. not the most thrilling prof but if you do what he says it's not a hard class.
I took Eng 121 online with Prof. Gabriel-Tucci and it was great. His comments were helpful and his grading was fair. He picked interesting books which made the class more enjoyable. Just make sure you get your assignments in on time.
Extremly awesome professor. I took him for writing for professionals online and an esay class, read the text book and its an easy A. Always gives good feedback on your work and will let you know what it is you need to improve on.
I took ENG-121 online. He provided lots of helpful study guides and was always available to answer questions. I found him to be a fairly easy grader-as long as you got the fundamentals you did ok; he wasn't nit-picky.
Even though I don't have a particular interest in english, I felt that the essay compositions the teacher requested were reasonable. I ended up getting an A after spending a good 3 to 4 solid hours on each essay we were assigned.
Very nice teacher, did most the talking in the class so no pressure for input and an great grader. Got As and Bs on all the essays as long as you follow what he's looking for, which is generally good structure more than good content. Tells you where to find what he's looking for in the textbook. Reading material was generally interesting.
Reasonable professor. Does not expect too much of students but does except a typical amount of writing for an English course. As long as you meet the requirements of each assignment and understand what it takes to write a college essay, you should get an A.
LOVED his online class. He had participation points for the discussion board, but you weren't forced to sift through a lot of responses from other students. His assignments are clear. His corrections make sense. If you do all of the essays how he asks, you'll get an A. The books he chose for the class were fairly interesting as well.
I am currently taking this class online. Very straight forward. Just follow the syllabus & do the work every week.. I like that we have discussion questions to answer but do not have to "respond" to other classmates answers. Papers are due every 2-3 weeks so it is not an overload. The textbooks are interesting too. I recommend this professor.
The books used were mildly interesting. He states his expectations very clearly and will provide good feedback. Just do the work and you get an A. He is also open to reviewing work if you send it in early. Awesome professor! I definitely recommend him.
He's hilarious....easy A. Really nice...but can be boring at times. highly recommend for someone who is not all that interested in English..
I don't know if it's just the course, but every class was so dry and boring. Prof Gabriel-Tucci didn't liven it up at all. He rambles endlessly and adds "certainly" to the end of every sentence. If you did well in high school English, you'll probably be fine in this class – I would just recommend a better professor.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking Professor Gabriel-Tucci's English 121 class. I didn't find him boring at all. He's very knowledgable and passionate about the subject. He takes the time to answer all questions that students have, and he is willing to help them understand their assignments.
Interesting Class. Easy once you know what he's looking for. Be aware of his grading you could receive above a 90% but still get a B.
Harsh grader and very rude
Though I took the class online, I learned more than I learned in any other english class I have taken. He is very nice and reasonable. He wants everyone to get a good grade and provides all the resources needed to receive it. When he graded the essay he always left very nice comments but also constructive comments to help you improve for the future
I wanted to hate him. Really, I did. See, the problem with Prof Tucci isn't that he's boring--he's actually quite amusing. The problem is that he's disrespectful to students in a blatant way. Otherwise, very easy grader. He goes over the readings in class, so no need to read the book. Just keep a log of the quotes he notes and you'll get A's.
Favorite teacher!
You either love or hate Professor Gabriel-Tucci. I personally loved him and thought he was hilarious. Others had a problem with him because he would dismiss their opinions when they tried to debate with him over certain topics. He's a pretty easy grader (I got A's on all 3 papers and an A- on the midterm) and allows 6 skipped classes. Awesome guy.
Professor Tucci was one of my favorites at AACC. I got an A on every paper. For this course, buy the books that you are supposed to read (and read them) participate in group discussions, and put 6-8 hours into each paper and you will get an A. He is a fair grader and will spend extra time to answer any questions you may have. Great Professor!
I took this as an Arts & Humanities elective and absolutely loved it! Every reading he chose for this course was interesting and his assignments were easy to follow! He is very accessible via email and canvas message and grades very quickly with great and helpful feedback! I will definitely look to take another one of his classes!
I loved taking his class. The books were all interesting, if not captivating (I read a few of them in a day or two). Having said that, participation is a must in this class. He will go around the room and ask everyone at least one question, but it is best to participate without being forced. This, along with reading his feedback, will lead to an A.
Just make sure you proofread your paper a zillion times before you turn it in.
Professor Tucci can be rather difficult to learn from. He isn't particularly interested in listening to other peoples opinions so best to sit back and let him do the talking. He also doesn't use rubrics for grading because he doesn't believe them. He says they are "too much work for him to keep track of."
I just want to say one thing, This was the best professor I had!!!!
Super easy. Got an A on every paper (even when I thought I did bad) must be an easy grader. We never really did much in class and he gave us plenty of time to write up essays outside of class. Even so its not that much at all, wish I had him this semester!
Do the work and FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! If you do so, you will pass!
Great teacher, I recommend.
Really awesome dude! Genuinely cared for his students and his class was fun to attend even if it was super early on a Monday. Taught the material well and was easy to get in touch with. Just do the work and you'll be fine. Definitely recommend taking a class of his.
super chill and funny professor, highly recommend.
Although I only had a few classes with him, he was passionate about the subject and made sure everyone participated.
This teacher is quite literally the best professor I have ever had. He is very straight forward. I had his online course. In that course, all the due dates were listed. As long as you communicate you will succeed. His grading is easy and respectable. If you can, please take his class. Great man, and even greater professor. Good luck and stay safe.
He is extremely understanding, you can email him whenever and he will get back to you as soon as he can. Hes willing to help you out no matter what the problem is. He has a humor sometimes, and if you just do the work on time and do it right, youll get an A
Professor Gabriel-Tucci is one of the most incredible English professors I have ever had. He gives incredible opportunities to assist students in accomplishing the class. He does this by way of giving an opportunity to send in a draft and then fix the draft to improve skills. He is a very clear grader but not picky like others. He helped me improve
dont double space or else youll end up with a D
Amazing Teacher. He grades fast and clear. He emails back quickly and helps you in many ways. Lots of reading but it is spread out so it doesn't seem like much. Get prepared to read and do a lot of assignments on Frederick Douglass! He has you turn in drafts of your papers so he can edit before the final.
Class was VERY boring and often spent discussing things not relevant to the papers. You're only graded on 5 papers and participation. As long as you proofread, you will get good grades on the papers as he is an easy grader. He uses the class before each paper is due to go over a draft 1-on-1 with each student. Very manageable reading assignments.
Barely gives assignments through the course, grades half of your overall points on one paper at the end so even if you worked hard all semester and did everything well you will still do poorly if he doesn't like your paper. I think it's quite lazy to have half of your points in the course depend on one paper.
I really enjoyed his class, I took Eng 101, and I'm taking Eng 102 with him now, both of them being online asynchronous. It's a lot of reading, and most of the work is answering questions in discussion posts, but you don't have to respond to anyone. I love how he'll review part of your drafts for papers, its really helpful! Would highly recommend.
Very kind prof. Easy "A" if you do the work. Interesting reading material, flexible (and interesting) writing topics, and useful feedback. Super fast grader, I often got grades and feedback within an hour or two. Checks in with students, easy to contact outside of class, no exams or quizzes, and the workload isn't overwhelming. Highly recommend!
I found great value in this class, appreciating the professor's kindness, prompt feedback on essays, and genuine concern for students' progress. Professor Gabriel-Tucci swift grading is noteworthy, contributing to a positive learning experience. Reading material was also very interesting. I would absolutely recommend this professor to everyone.
Had this professor twice and aced both ENG classes. He is not very forgiving with late or missed work, but if you need an extension, ASK BEFORE IT HAPPENS. Average feedback on papers.Theres nothing to memorize, and no quizzes, just written "papers" (max was 700 words), graded fairly easily with txtbook & note usage allowed.. Pretty easy class.
Great professor
A fair and easy grader who clearly explained the material. The reading and assignments was reasonable, and as long as you demonstrated that you read the required books, you would earn a good grade. I also appreciated that he always checked in with students and allowed us to submit the first page of our rough drafts to ensure we were on track.
Take this professor is your nerous about English like I was. He was a fair and easy grader. The reading and assignments was reasonable, and as long as you demonstrated that you read the required books, you would earn a good grade. Also, appreciated that he always checked in and allowed us to submit our rough drafts for feedback. Awesome teacher!
Solid teach
Professor Tucci was a good professor he was very present and is a fair grader. He regularly checks in on his students and gives good feedback. The class was pretty easy. As long as you make sure you stay on top of your work and submit decent stuff you'll be fine.
He responds within the hour very fast. If you need something to be cleared or explained he's got you. I hope I get him again for a class he was very helpful and patient.
No posts about assignments on canvas
very clear and attentive assignments
If you are an avid reader and a great writer then this class is for you! I took an accelerated summer course. There is more writing papers than reading, so make time to thoroughly read and write papers. If help is needed, he responds quickly within all hours of the day.
One of the worst professors I have taken at AACC. During class time we didn't do much that focused on what we were learning, it seemed like the professor just liked to hear himself speak (which he said multiple times). Lots of reading and lots of papers to write, so if you struggle with that beware.
