If you were even slightly hesitant in the back of your mind about accounting as a major/career, you will withdraw from this class and immediately change your major... This class is painstaking and hard. If you want to get a C or better you have a ton of work ahead. Saying that, Goldwater is a decent prof.

Horrible clarity. You can spend hrs on an assignment only to find out that he made a mistake in making the assignment so you can't possibly find the right answer. No help whatsoever in explaining excel.I DONT REMMEBER 80% of the excel he taught. We are his Guinea pigs as he learns how to teach the class. It needs refining but not at your expense.

While his class is laborious and will require long hours of your time, it will teach you excel, which is a skill all firms want to see. I suggest doing a little homework everyday, and turning it in early so you have time for the retake. During his lectures, follow along on your computer and ask very specific questions bc your homework is similar.

This class is one of those accounting classes that will take up all of your time. He has weekly quizzes that take on average 12 hours and his tests take easily 20. He doesn't teach excel, but simply goes over the excel quizzes in class. His grading is tough. I received an 89.99 and he refused to round to an A-. Avoid this class like the plague.

The class is supposed to help you learn Excel but all that really happens is the professor spends class periods telling you the same story he told two weeks ago and also continuously talking about how red caps go with red pens and black caps go with black pens. He's a nice guy but his teaching style is horrible. I wouldn't take him again.

Nice enough guy, but the class is abysmal. The guy won't teach you any of the accounting, and will cover maybe half of the Excel work, leaving you struggle and teach yourself for the LONG and PLENTIFUL homework. Did I mention you'll receive no support at all? The tests are take home, but pretty brutal to compensate. Bad experience in general.

Hands down one of the worst teachers I have had in 2 years at UCF. He lacks the ability to teach it properly. Using the book will be helpful, but not on the excel parts of the quizes, i.e PIVOT TABLES. You have to go to class, because if you miss it even if you have to, expect no type of help. His examples he has on his website are all rubbish.

He may be the worst professor I've had. Although there's a lot of material to get through, he makes poor use of class time and doesn't cover the Excel nor the Cost Accounting well. When everyone did poorly on the final and complained, he had the gall to send out an angry and emotional email blaming us and calling us lazy. Very professional man.
