Rambles on about nothing in class. This class is a sleeper!
easy grader, easy teacher, but boring classes
No Comments
He's so smart...it's a shame he's so boring! Easy class, lots of reading though. Nice guy, just so boring!
BORING!!! BUT FUNNY, TAKE HIM FOR AN EASY B AT LEAST.
We didn't have a single grade until the 13th week of class. Very frustrating. Rambly.
Easy class, he is a nice professor. Classes go by slowly, but he has a bit of a sense of humor.
yeah, no grades till the 13th week of class- its both true and pretty crappy. Once he got around to actually returning the work though he was pretty easy, but his lectures were even easier to sleep through.

smart guy - very boring. if you don't like to write, this is the class for you. none of our papers could be longer than 5 paragraphs
extremely knowledgable
classis boring but he is extremely nice guy.u get 4 cuts and then after that 1pt off final grade per miss. overall you just need to be good at writing and you should be okay. email me [email protected] if you want the text for cheap.
Can be dull but knowledgable and kind. A good guy who you can learn a lot from.
i really enjoyed his class. great readings and heis very laid back, best professor i've had all semester. assigns very little work and gives ample time for assignments when he does assign them. as long as you read the material the class i simple.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz.................
very nice and an easy course you just go a listen to him read
Great dry sense of humor. Class was VERY slow moving, but discussion of the books was good.
He was really cool. Reminds me of Alex Trebeck from Jeopardy but with sweaters and ties that are more fun! "Don't applaud, just throw money" LOL.
He's a super sweet guy and very understanding. The class moves at a very slow pace but he knows so much information! I like him alot.
WARNING: This class may cause drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery while in this class. Otherwise GREAT guy. Very understanding. Corny jokes but great class discussions. I definately recomend him to non-lit majors like myself.
Very nice teacher. give plenty of time for assignments. very understanding when it comes to handing in assignment late. very intelligent
This guy loves to drink while he grades papers, seriously. He's funny to watch if you're paying attention. Easy class
green rules, hes very dry-pay attention to his humor. his ties are interesting
ok so tomorrow is the last day of finals, and we only have 1 grade for his class. easy grader but takes a loooong time to get papers back. nice guy though very smart
I had him last semester and took him again. He isnt the easiest professor, but he is ok. He really sucked this semster compared to last. I would not take him again. if youre thinkin of taking him see who else is teaching first!
Oh Dr. Green... what a guy. Whether he's breaking out some extremely dry humor or haranguing a half-filled class about absenteeism when it's obvious that he's talking to the wrong people about this, he's a trip and a half. I would take him again.
You probably can find someone better, but he's ok, i guess. I just didn't really get into him.
Simply put-I loved him.
sucks
Professor Green is awesome... he is hilarious and as long as you come to class and do the very little work you'll pass. There arent any tests and so even if he tends to wander it doesnt matter because you arent going to have to know what he said. I would take him every semester if I could
Dr. Green rocks! He's so awesome. I had him for two graduate classes and he's amazing. He's so knowledgeable he could double as a history professor. He's adorable with his orange, green and red color coordination. Cute as a button and humble too~so humble, he won't let you know he got his PhD from Haaaarvard!
One of the worst teacher's I've ever had. People like him cause he's easy, but he's only easy if you know anything about Milton. I can honestly tell you I learned NOTHING in that class. Most boring teacher ever and EXTREMELY unclear about requirements for the few assignments that you do have...and even on those he's a tough grader. DON'T TAKE HI
Green's class at first seems like it will be hard, but it's not. It also seems like there is a lot of work to be done, but there isn't. If you go to class and do what needs to be done, you will get an A. Attendance in his class will make or break you. His quiet nature is also subtly hilarious.
He is very calm and quiet. There are a total of 5 papers the whole semester. One is a final and one a midterm. Only miss the amount of classes you are allowed to miss. It is a boring class but the easy grades are what counts.
prof is okay-very boring but nice and approachable. can only miss 2 classesXmeetings per week. whole semester is 3 papers and take home essay midterm and final. easy class but its a lot of reading
Absolutly god awful boring i often found my self wanting to smack the man because he was boring mad eterrible use of class time and what is the point of making attendence part of the grade when all the graded work is done out side of class and it is all subjective any way and his finger will freak you out.
The material in those course is boring to begin with, and Green's personality certainly doesn't make it any more exciting. There are only 3 grades in the course (all papers, 1 of which you can revise), so not worrying about having to study or do pointless assignments is a plus. Dr. Green is a really smart guy, and he's nice. Would take again.
so very boring!!! but if you are looking for an easy grade, take him. only assigns 3 short papers, with no final. hes a really nice guy and very helpful too.
Dr. Green is not boring at all. I think the raters are confused between the words "boring" and "soft spoken." He so knowledgeable, he could double as a history professor. He a great person -kind, gentle and just adorable. See for yourself!
Just rambles, no need to take notes - No tests
Boring class, but make sure you participate. Start the major paper early so it doen't seem too big near the end of the semester.
So very very very boring. He rambles ALOT and you will feel like the class is a complete waste of your time but nice guy, not too hard but be sure to start the research paper early or your life will suck end of semester
classes make you feel like you're wasting life away. no tests. big research paper at the end. don't buy all the books if you can get away w/ it. grading is alright, lets you revise papers. its a typical prereq writing class.
I love Paul Green. He is the most knowledgeable and interesting teacher on he planet. Students who think otherwise must not care about learning. I often how he got so smart. Hes also sweet. zi want to marry him, hes so great. Make sure you take him if you get the chance!
Dr. Green is extremely intelligent & knows all of the material by heart. You absolutely 100% need the texts to keep up with his lectures. He is EXTREMELY flexible, which means you can hand in the assignment after due date w/ no penalty, & revise papers for a better grade. He isn't very animated but his dry humor and subtle jokes are pretty funny.
Dr. Green is extremely smart, but his classes are difficult to sit through. It is frustrating to have to do so much reading for so little discussion. I would not take him again.
He is a very flexible teacher. Let's you revise all of your papers except the research paper. I received A's on all of my assignments, but got a lower grade on my research paper. His grading methods are strange. Class is boring and pointless but easy overall, just spend a lot of time on the reseach paper at the end.
Hes a really nice guy... quite old though. He can be really funny. The class is the most boring thing ever, you have to force yourself to sit through it. The papers are easy and he lets you rewrite them. Research paper is a huge chunk of your grade. Not to hard though just work a lot on it. the way he grades is a mystery
Green is a very easy teacher, but it is a pain to sit through his class. It is very hard to understand him sometimes because he mumbles and talks quietly.
I love this teacher so much! I took a Jewish Lit class with him the previous semester and really enjoyed it. For non-english majors beware that he will expect participation. He lets you rewrite any papers you need to. He always goes over them and his grading process if you don't understand a grade you just need to ask. No tests just papers. Love him
Nicest guy on campus, but incredibly boring. He's very clear on what he expects and pushed back both of our papers for us when we asked. 2 papers and one final. Allowed to miss 4 classes. Talks quietly. Grades pretty easy if you write well
Paul Green is the sweetest man, he can be monotone, but he is funny! His class is so easy! 4 simple papers and you can rewrite two of them. The only thing is attendance counts. Definitelly reccommned!
He is incredibly boring to listen to, and he jingles the change in his pocket when he talks (in monotone) which drives us all crazy...but he's really nice and tries to clarify as best he can. This class is painfully dull (I even like Shakespeare, actually), but he's a pretty easy grader. Read everything outside of class, and do 2 papers & a final.
Literally read from the textbook during class 100% of the time. Read bibliographies punctuation for punctuation. Occassionally cracks a joke, but class is useless. Takes attendance, but 2 cuts allowed.
He is very monotone, but tries to make jokes and lighten up the class a little bit. He is also constantly jingling the change in his pocket, and all we do in class is go over short stories we are supposed to read. Overall an easy class, and it is nice that he allows you to revise two of your papers.
He is a genuinely nice guy who knows that english is a boring subject. He's a nice guy to go to if you have any help but is very monotone if you have to sit through a long lecture. The class was very easy and there was really no point in going if an assignment wasn't due.
Dr. Green is a very nice guy who really enjoys writing and speaking. However, his 3 hour classes seems to drag and while although he never checks if you read, it's best to have some notes on the section assigned as he threatened pop quizzes. As well, unclear grading system but fairly easy to pass.
I loved having Professor Green and plan on taking him again. He's real old school, lecture and all. I thought hit prompts were very clear and he is a very fair grader. I wrote a paper I thought deserved a B- and he gave me an A-.
Professor Green was a nice guy but made class extremely boring. He's very old school & monotone so lectures are dragged on. He didn't give exams and the gives fair grades.
This class was extremely boring and I dreaded going. Professor Green was helpful during his office hours, but graded my papers harshly. He ran out of time at the end of the semester and made us write a paper on two books that we barely even talked about and didn't give us enough time to read them. I wouldn't recommend taking him.
You have three papers, all in MLA (5-7 pages), each of them is worth 30% of your grade. He gives you the chance to rewrite one paper, averaged with the original grade. 10% of the grade is participation. You are allowed 4 absences. The Text book was not worth buying, you can look up all the plays. Classes can get boring, but it's easy.
Strange experience in this class. Everything is straightforward but he grades very strangely . I had to try harder than I thought and go to his office hours more. He is a very nice guy and though many people in this class could careless it is fun to participate. He had a few views that I disagreed with a lot.
One of the strangest men Ive met but kind enough. Honestly, the class is a waste of time; everything is review from WRT 120. I only go for the attendance and work on other class work while he reads the book chapters to you. Overall, if you need an easy class, choose this one. It's a breeze.
This class does not require a lot of effort. He's a very old school teacher and moves pretty slowly. Like 90% of this class is the research paper so put some effort into that and you'll be fine.
Professor Green is a wonderful professor. He has been around forever. I enjoyed LIT 165 with him and I would take another courses with him. He's a treasure.
Dr. Green handed out a syllabus with about 10-13 books/pieces we'd be reading throughout the semester, and we ended up only reading 5 or 6, but he tried to squeeze in the rest at the end of the semester. He also only graded on two papers and a 'take-home' exam. He typically showed up to class a few minutes late. Overall a class I wouldn't recommend
Professor Green has a great sense of humor and likes to joke with the class. Show up, hand in the assignments, and get to know him. He is definitely worth taking.
This prof is the most boring, dry man I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. He is always late, but requires attendance, and he will remind you every single class how many "cuts" you are allowed. He lectures the entirety of the class, & often goes into misogynistic tangents. He does not use email/D2L. Nothing is online. Don't buy the book!!
Rather boring class, but Dr. Green is a nice guy overall. 3rd of your grade is a research paper, and you have a few other writing assignments sprinkled in as well. Not a very hard class. Do the work and research and you'll have no trouble passing. Do get the textbooks and read, otherwise he'll "have his boys come after you." Yeah, he's funny too.
Paul Green has probably been both the oldest and most boring professor I've ever had. He doesnt prepare anything for class and much of the lectures are discussion based. no tests or quizzes so students had the tendency to not read and then not answer his ridiculous questions in class which would make him angry. easy grader, just read the plays.
Really old guy, has a lot of knowledge to him. However, the class was extremely boring if you dont like literature. 2 take home exams which are papers. Barely any work to do in the class but a few papers about literature. He is an extremely tough grader and it was painful to go to class. The class is not hard just the papers were little difficult
not good. most boring person i have ever been taught by. every class is him talking at us for an hour and fifteen minutes and it's worse than watching paint dry. gives no clear directions whatsoever and everyone in the class is confused and has no idea what they're doing because he has no idea what he's doing. don't take this class, take it from me
Dr. Green is nice but his class is a complete mess. He does not use any technology, don't even bother emailing him and there is no D2L. He never gives clear instructions, no one ever knows what is due. He doesn't even know. You only get 3 papers as your grades and he is not a very easy grader. Do not suggest.
DO NOT TAKE, if you miss class you are screwed since he doesn't know how to use D2L. He will not answer emails and wastes class time by arriving late. The RS paper is easy since you get to choose your topic. He has a required library class and takes attendance daily. He tells you that you need two textbooks that are expensive that you barely use.
This man is senile. Genuinely not fit to be teaching anymore. That being said, if you're looking for an easy A, here it is.
Do not take dr greens class. There are no rubrics/ outlines for assignments. Prof cant hear anyone 3 feet away from him. Doesnt assign papers on proper dates leaving less than a week to write it. Participation isnt required. You will fall asleep every class period. Unclear grading system.
Here is your best option for a writing emphasis course, you are basically guaranteed an A. Just participate a few times in the semester and write 2 papers. He's 80 years old and doesn't use technology so you can sit in class and be on your laptop the whole time. Be nice to him though because I feel bad for him, people are so rude in class.
Dr. Green is an extremely kind man who is an expert in Shakespeare. However, he is very old and his class is often very dry; i.e. just him talking all class. He has extensive knowledge on Shakespeare, so ask him lots of questions and the class will go by quicker. Only grades attendance/participation and three essays throughout the entire class.
Dr. Green is a sweet guy, but he's very old and is no longer fit to be teaching in my opinion. His classes were painstakingly boring and we never had clear due dates or prompts. The only grades in the class were 3 papers throughout the semester. It's an easy A as long as you're decent at writing, but it's a terrible class to sit through.
Dr. Paul Green is a legend. He is not great with online technology and gives papers instead of the online portal. He spent an entire class period writing a book on the whiteboard with a yellow marker and only asked 20 minutes after writing if we could read it... His jokes are also great and you can tell he hates the class more than you will. 10/10
Dr. Green gets a lot of hate for how slow his lectures can be, but he really cares about his courses and his students. He is older and has trouble hearing sometimes, and the lecture can get very boring, but he is always here to talk and give feedback. Class is very easy, readings are easy. Kids give him a hard time but he is a very sweet professor.
Good class to knock out both a Writing and Humanities requirement. Class is boring, but just go and deal with it. Can miss a few classes, 2 papers on poems read in class, 2 papers on fictional short stories read. If there's any problems just ask him and he'll help. If you're even a half decent writer it's a safe course to take.
This is an old-school professor. He doesn't use D2L at all and takes attendance every class. He is an easy grader, but his lectures are, truthfully, very boring. Your grade is mostly composed of one research paper that you have ample time to work on. He will be late to class and repeat things multiple times, but he's not the worst option.
Dr. Green is awesome! His class is very laid back, but he gives great pointers about assignments that are due and gives you a long period of time to complete everything. He loves to hear what the class has to say, he cares a lot. There are 3 major grades, from what I remember but he is a very easy grader. Definitely take this class with Dr. Green
He is the BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!! He is very patient, and his lessons are really interesting. If I were you I would take his class before he retires.
Dr green is a very old-school professor and his class can be very boing and sometimes he repeats himself. theres no D2L or emails. So long as you show up to class and do the 1 research paper thats probably 75% of your grade you will be fine. He grades pretty light and often times you can argue for better. I seriously recommend before he retires
