Mr Harasha is an extremely personable friendly character that expresses a deep thought process on the topics of sociology as well as other important issues. A great deal can be learned from this man, a deep thinker to say the least and the best part is that he keeps his class extremely relaxed and entertaining.

He's extremely passionate about sociology. You use the book to fill out study guides. The tests are almost identical to the study guides and class discussions.

Paul is a awesome teacher, he cares about his students and responds to all emails. He even called me to let me know that i missed the final. The class is interesting and a lot of fun. i would recommend it to anyone with a mature open mind

Mr. H is a very "cool" professor. His class is extremely easy and for some people who say they worked for their grade, you must be joking. I got 99.9% in the class and it did not require any thinking. If you do not get an A in the class then something is wrong.

This course was extremely enlightening. He aims the course towards education and understanding not guilt or prejudice. Each assignment was very eye opening and changed many of my views about race and ethnicity in America. Harasha expects nothing more than academic maturity and therefore should be an extremely beneficial course for everyone.

Truly the best teacher that college students NEED to hear. If you take his class with an open mind you can learn and grow more than you have in any class. You can sometimes catch a bit of bias, but his message is the opening of minds, the asking of questions, the breaking down of bad social traditions/institutions and overall saving the planet.

With an "easy A" type class I wouldn't leave feedback, normally, but Paul deserves it. His class was one of the easiest I've taken, but he is truly an inspiration. He just wants to open dialogue about society not waste time with useless assignments. "The world will change only when people are willing to help without being rewarded for it."

This professor doesn't just teach a class. He believes that our generation will implement changes to our system. I took the 8 week class (wish I would've taken the full semester so I could learn more) but he takes into consideration that long lectures will put you to sleep so he shows videos and holds discussions. Very basic SOC101 class. Read the book, answer test questions, take tests. You also choose between service learning or writing essays. Essays were 3pgs max. Super easy A. He is a great professor although he gets side-tracked A LOT.

SOC101 great teacher but he is not like before, no more multiple choice tests short answers instead and not that short. Hes cool and everything but you will have to attend class and you will work. lowest test would be dropped 2 extra credits. i did everything but i did not do that well in quizzes and i got a B.

In SOC180 we looked at how technology impacts society. Lots of group discussion, very little homework. Mr. Harasha is passionate about bettering society, and not afraid to share his opinion while always inviting students' input. I love that he's open to let spirituality/God into the discussion. His optimism and conscientiousness are inspiring.

He is truly passionate about Sociology, and the well being of his students. This class opened my eyes to the realities of the society we live in, and the effects it has.

I would recommend taking his class for any course that falls under sociology. His lectures are personal and interactive. First day of class, he gives you all the tests (including the final) that will be taken throughout the semester. There's no way anybody should fail this class.

I hate labeling a class as "an easy A" but it's really the only way to describe it. He deducts points for every absence, which is annoying because I didn't gain any insight by going, but there's extra credit. Got 100% on all my exams (multiple choice). Never met a professor who is as passionate as Paul is. Really wants his students to be engaged in the world, and know what is going on. The book for the class was online and very accessible, not overpriced. You learn more than you would think in this class.

I knew sociology is a cool subject, but he makes it incredibly interesting. He knows almost everything you could ever ask about sociology, and he engages the classroom even early in the morning. He uses a free online textbook and the quizzes are all open book. I definitely learned a lot from him & he is definitely the guy you want for sociology.

With everything going on in the world I was nervous to take a class online especially over summer. Needless to say I worried for nothing, the class was great. Easy quizzes, 4 papers (Piece of cake topics, self guided, no format, 2-4 pages) and assignment videos are a main chunk of class. No reason NOT to get an A.

I KID YOU NOT when I say that I have taken ALL of his classes at MCC. He was what lead me into the major that I am in today and he is truly outstanding and super understanding. His work SEEMS like a lot at first, but once you actually take the class, it is super easy. By far my absolute most favorite teacher EVER!! 10000/10 would take again

Service learning is an option, amazing opportunity for career exploration. Overall an amazing professor that is passionate and cares about his students and teaching.

Paul Harasha is an incredible professor! He wants you to succeed and he shows that he is very kind, an easy-grader, and he cares about his students. There is about 2-3 hours of reading per week. Chapter quizzes are easy if you read. I would say this Professor goes above and beyond by taking the time to read your assignment (1-2 paragraph reflection on chapter reading) and provides insightful feedback instead of some copy and paste. Best wishes

This was an 8-week course, so the workload was a little heavy, given the fact that we had to cover the material in a shorter window. However, the assignments were truly intriguing and interesting. Fair grader, lots of opportunities to make up work. Would definitely recommend
