AMAZING PROFESSOR! He is extremely nice and very funny. Class is always entertaining and hes always willing to answer any question. His tests are pretty hard but he lets you use your notes. Always has grades and notes available online. The best professor i've had so far. Highly recommended.

He really pulls you in to interacting with the class! People actually talk to one another, which makes it a more friendlier environment and Herrle sets that up for everyone.

Professor Herrle keeps the class alive while providing a learning environment that is just right for the college experience. This course is a good course for people to take no matter what major they are studying. Two thumbs up! I can pretty much agree with everyone else, Herrle is a great professor. If you are new to college, he is a great person to make that transition with. He is quite lenient on assignments and is really good about how he grades. Start the group project early. You will actually want to attend his classes because you have such a good time.

His class is very easy. He gives lectures (not boring ones) during class and gives tests over the weekend. He also spends the first half hour on current events and relates it all back to Psch. He doesn't give a lot of assignments and makes the whole experience fun! Must take!

Herrle best teacher i have had so far in college. havent had a teacher like this since high school! you do have to read the book. everything but the book is on WebCT. if you dont like this teacher your a tard and a half! oh and best believe im taking him again for PSY203! you do have a group project in class but you have almost the whole semster.

Herrle is a fun, intelligent, enthusiastic teacher. Grades on a variety of assignments: papers, tests, group projects, homework, class participation, etc. Students work on psych related topics in varied formats, not just tests. Loves teaching, the students, and the subjects taught. Relates psych to life and life to psych. Abnormal Psy, FUN!

I cant say more than TAKE HIS CLASS!!! He is absolutely unbelievable and is one of the best teachers ive ever had. Your idea of what a good professor is will change after you take his class. This was an online class it was very intense. There was a lot of reading,tests and several articles to write. Professor Herrle is very understanding and gives you extra credit. He is in constant contact with his online students. I was amazed that if I had questions he would be answering at midnight. He is very dedicated.

Professor Herrle is a great teacher. He really encourages his students to actively participate in discussion and if you dont...he will call you out! I too took his Human Sexuality class and for those who have taken it and have given him a bad rating...its probably because they weren't mature enough to handle topics about HUMAN SEXUALITY! He's up front and straight with you which can be hard for people to handle...but isn't that what you want in a professor? Unless you're up tight and can't handle REAL topics...TAKE THIS CLASS!!

Prof Herrle is an amazing teacher. I reccommend that everyone take his classes. I first had Herrle in Psy101, then I took his abnormal class and they were both amazing. Honestly cares about his students. Gets people interested and warmed up for lectures by having a class discussion (foreplay) before the lecture. Do all the work, listen to his lecture (which isn't difficult, he's really funny and keeps students involved while lecturing.) He's by far the most interesting and funny professor I've had. Take his class!

Paul Herrle is THE bomb. He first and farmost is a devout Christian who while telling little jokes about real sitauatoins to ease a little of the tension brought on by the beginning of our classes called "foreplay" It is fun to watch him walk that fine tightrope between psychology and his faith. I took the 3-week online summer session. Not too hard if you can read all 12 chapters and turn in your written assignments on time. If you complete and review all online bi-chapter exams, you should be totally prepared for the 100 question on-campus final exam. Herrle's class was well-organized and the subject matter was applicable to daily life.

Professor Herrle above all was the most engaged teacher I have ever had. He is truly interested in psychology and is very knowledgeable. He responds to emails, takes time in class to answer questions, and instantly gains affection from all of his students. It was a pleasure being in his class.

Professor Herrle was great. There was a lot of work but easy to do and spaced out well. I took the 8 week Summer Semester and all of the assignments fit in well. He always e-mailed you back and was quick with grades. One time he had computer issues and the grades were a little backlogged but he kept informed. You will not go wrong picking him.

Overall, a satisfactory online experience. Straight forward instructions, helpful supplemental online material. He did not respond to an e-mail regarding my final paper on which he had incorrectly graded an APA citation. Not acceptable considering the paper was worth 10% of our grade. Minus two stars for NO communication and poor citation grading.

Best online class ever. Very interactive and Herlle would answer emails almost immediately. I even got a response from him at 2am!! If you can't take him in class, online is good too.

When I first read all the comments, I thought it was the second coming or something. Yes, he's friendly & funny and all that, but sorry, I dont see what all the hype is about. Final and midterm are way too hard without much of a review before. The group assignment is b.s.- you come to the class to talk and be entertained, learning comes second.

Paul Herrle is friggin' AWESOME! Great instructor, knows the material, will help out any way he can. He even gave my truck a jump-start one day in the parking lot! Office hours are awesome. TONS of reading, but you really do learn the material that way. Not an easy A if you take the 3.5 week course, but obtainable. Highly recommended!

HERRLE IS THE BEST!!! I have taken him for 2 classes so far and have yet to have a complaint. His classes are discussion based as opposed to lecture. I just dont think he's as great as he thinks that he is. It is a discussion based class, so everyone in the world has a comment or question, no matter how dumb it is. He seems like an alright kinda guy, but it depends on why you are there -to laugh and learn jokes or to actually learn more and be prepared for higher UNLV study...

Professor Herrle has definitely been the best I've had so far. I've had to take online classes the last few semesters and can honestly say this is one of the FEW online classes I've actually retained some knowledge from. He puts complicated scientific stuff into easy to understand & smaller terms. Very down to earth and helpful... AMAZING.

Herrle's a nice enough guy, If you do the work then you'll get the grade. I feel like I could have learned a lot more from him if his class was lecture based rather than discussion based. he get's off topic too easy and doesnt tell people to shut up. It's an easy class though just do the work, you can take each chapter test twice.

He is good teacher.I took the class online.U can take the exam twice but the final require U to do it at any campus (without notes)Paul requires u many times papers to write. If u had many class not recommend him. Have friend took psyche all their exam are take home even midterm and final. No paperwork too.

Mr.Herle was great im a lazy student but he gives you 2 times you can take each online test at home and you have 1 research paper and 1group proj. He gives you 2 extra credit assignments etc... he is very nice and genuine about what he teaches i will definitely recommend someone to take him.

Very good professor. Welcomed student input during lectures which helped with information retention. Some students took the class participation to far by consistently giving life history stories or comments that were not applicable. Online chapter exams were tough. Work load and final exam were very fair and consistent with information taught.

Being a first year college student at the age of 32 this teacher not only made learning easier, he made it fun. My advice, is: show up to class on-time, do the work, and you will do well. His class is interactive so don't be afraid to speak up (you will learn more). I found out that there is no question that you can't ask :) He is awesome!

Prof. Herrle is a great teacher. I took his online class and received an A. Alot of reading but have 2 times to take each test with highest score taken. Final is on campus. Very helpful and had a great layout and information for the students.

By far, Herrle is the best prof. He adds humor to his teachings making it fun and enjoyable. 2 article reviews, chapter exams every other week (online) and a biography of a 'non-white' psychologist. Do the work and participate in lectures.

I'm taking this class online and I highly recommend Herrle. He's intersting, organized & expectations are clear. The tests are exactly what is covered in his PowerPoints and notes so there's no surprises. He provides short video clips to help you grasp hard-to-understand concepts. (Six online tests, 4 article-reviews, 1 paper & 2 on-site tests.)

He tries to stick to the syllabus as much as possible. Very fair grader. I appreciate he says what he expects out of students from day one and in syllabus. He makes class fun and entertaining. Tests aren't that hard, material is all from the book and his lectures. We need more Herrle's around. Would take his other classes if I have time.

I took this online. Great professor. Incredibly helpful. A lot of reading; one chapter a week. Tests every other week on chapters we read. This class is easy if you keep up and take good notes.

This was the greatest class. Everything was super easy to follow and the professor stayed really active with all the students.I would take another class with this professor anytime.

I took this class On-Line and was extremely impressed with the class. He never failed to reply to any of our questions and provided everything you could possibly need to study the course. You have ample time to complete assignments and study for the tests. I would highly recommend this class to anyone.

a little too religious for my taste ...but REALLY good professor so it equals out and he forces you to learn, awesome teaching style, i suggest you print the slides before class and there is a lot of open discussion and fair amount of work i highly recommend for any one who wants to learn

Psych and non psych majors will enjoy his class. He delivers the material in a way everyone will understand. Tests are easy as long as you pay attention and read the book. Partner w/others and take tests online. more questions u see, better chance u have on midterm & final. u have 2 chances to take each test except mid and final.

Fantastic teacher. Everything is Layed out, took his online course and he was very active online answering questions. Wasn't a teacher that took 2 weeks to answer you. But with all online classes be sure to manage your time, reading those chapters stack up quickly!

Amazing teacher. I took this class online. Book was referenced a TON! But easy as long as you do the reading. One paper all year. About 7 exams or so (each exam is 40 mult choice over two chapeter) Funny and outgoing. Really helpful with responding to emails and such. Great guy. I got an A.

Herrle is everything you want in a professor. He is HILARIOUS, helpful, passionate and inspiring. He has chapter tests, a midterm and final as well as fun homework assignment throughout the semester. Through the four month course you will do 4 online quizzes, one mid and final term in class which is not accumulative, Two article reviews, one major psychologist research paper of 1000 words, and group presentation within the final week of the class. Overall, he enlighten me about others actions and thoughts. He is definitely funny and relates.

Great teacher! Gives you notes ahead of time and has his own powerpoints to help you understand. You take an exam and quizzes every other week plus you do work on a computer disc. 2 Article Reviews and 2 In the News stories along with 2 proctored tests. It's alot of information, but if you study and stay on track you'll do fine! Recommend him!

He is a great teacher. He constantly makes jokes. I loved his class from the beginning. He gives 2 article reviews, 1 four to five page paper, pretests and exams are online, and the midterm and final are in class. He also gives one group project. He curves test. His class is not really hard. You just have to pay attention. Good luck.

Great teacher ans great class. He does a lot to help you out if you ask. Participation is important. You learn a ton in his class BUT depend on the book. A lot of what you talk about in class wont necessarily help you on the tests. READ THE BOOK!

Very easy class. Read one chapter a week. test every other week. Research paper on minority psychologist, two article reviews, and two in the news reviews. You get two chances at each test, and 3 chances at each quiz. EC avaliable if you need it. Midterm and final taken in the testing center. Did not really use the book, just watched the cd.

The class is easy if you take notes, read the chapters, study. There is homework but not overloaded. He is funny and the class is very enjoyable.

Herrle was alright, I guess. Just kidding, he made class something to look forward to! Fun conversations and easy going homework and a group project you have all semester to complete. Unless you have a really good memory, it's not an easy A, you do have to study if you want to pass! But it's an extremely fun class nonetheless. :)

Midterm & final semi difficult - need to know your names, terms and theories well. 2 short "In the News" essay style. 2 longer Article Reviews. 1 paper based on a non old white guy Psychologist. 2 required discussion posts on 2 different chapters.

Paul is a good teacher. He keeps encourage his students to adopt psychology as a profession which seems that he have a real passion for what he does. Unfortunately,psychology is not my cop of tea but I highly recommend him.

Proffessor Herrle is absolutely awesome! He really knows how to connect the information to our lives, which makes it better to understand. Homework isn't bad! Test are online, but final and midterm is in class. He really tries to help students understand in ways the book can't do. If you're taking it for your degree, I honestly recommend him!!

Herrle was a GREAT teacher! I was very excited to wake up and go to class, as I knew that I would always learn something new and interesting, and spend time in a great classroom environment. Herrle is the one of the best in the business. Not only is he pretty hot for an older man, but he is super funny. Class was one of the easiest ever. Class was well worth the money.

Herrle is an amazing prof! Always fun to be in class, he is very knowledgeable in his profession and can interact with students on their levels. You can take exams more than once, to help with midterms and finals, and the group projects are fun! He's pretty fly for a white guy!

DO NOT take this class online. The material is very dry and boring when you are trying to teach yourself. Hes very lenient when it comes to grading and if my schedule wasnt so busy I wouldve much rather taken this class in person.

I took this class online. Easy A if you read the material. Quizzes and chapter tests are open book. The midterm and final you have to take at the testing center. I loved this class and found it to be very interesting, even though I have no interest in psychology. Instructor is quick to post your grades so you know where you stand. Loved him!!

*GREAT* took online. Lots of reading though. 1 chapter a week, exam every other chapter(open book). 7 writing assignments(4 opinion posts, 3 longer papers). Midterm & Final are hard(must take on campus). Good news: Herrle is a very forgiving grader, offers a LOT of extra credit & you can take each quiz/exam twice(best grade kept). Would take again!

Wow, human sexuality was very interesting. Sex is always interesting, but the mechanics behind it and the information gained is invaluable. Herrle puts it out there and in a way that is easy to understand. Listen to the lectures and read the chapters, easy easy easy. Grades on a curve and the tests are ripped from the quizzes. highly recommend.

Took this class online and I wish I would've taken it on campus. Prof Herrle is AWESOME and has a great personality! Since I took the course during summer there was a lot of reading, but all quizzes and exams were open book except for the final which you take on campus. He has lots of video lectures and links to help you along with the web course.

One of my first two teachers since being out of school over 15 years and Prof Herrle was the best. The class is not a cake walk, but is made so much easier by his notes and videos. He was extremely helpful with issues that came up and I would take his classes in a heartbeat. He seems to really care about the success of his students. Take him!!!

He is one great professor! He enjoys his job and explains the material thoroughly. He also isn't the kind of professor who only talks about textbook material the entire time. He breaks off for a few minutes to talk about real life experiences. He is also really easy to pass and you take chapter tests online. I would highly recommend this class!

He is the best Psychology teacher I have ever had, hands down. He's really funny and very clear with the information. He's there for you academically and personally. If you can, TAKE HIM. As long as you come to class, you'll pass, and actually understand the material.

Professor Herrle is great. His class is a bit challenging in the sense that you will read the whole text book and finals are on campus with no open notes. You must memorize a lot of in order to do well. Weekly reading and quiz exams. group discussions, article reviews, and one essay (7-10 Pg.) I do recommend!

Mr. Herrle is super fun && easy going. Syllabus is simple && so is the grading. Seriously impossible to fail this class unless you don't go or do the work. Lectures are always interesting && all weekly tests are same questions on midterm && final so they're pretty much study guides. LOVED this class!

I took his online class. VERY boring if you take it online, but it's fairly easy. You basically read the chapter, do some exercises online for a few minutes, and do assignments if you have any. Based on other comments, I would suggest to take his class in person as he seems to be a good and entertaining professor.

Herrle is an amazing instructor. His grading is clear, assignments are easy to do, very little homework but when he does assign anything its worth a lot. He accepts late work and his extra credit will save you!!! Quizzes are online, easy. His lectures are fun, big group project at the end. AMAZING when it comes to understanding the students needs.

He understands absences, accepts late work, and is always there for you. If you don't study for the midterm/finals they will be hard. He did say/give examples that were politically problematic, which he probably should keep to himself.

Great Professor!! I took the summer 4 week course and expected it to be pretty tough, but it was fairly easy. He graded very easy and the tests weren't too hard as long as you read. There was a big paper due at the end but it was graded easy. As long as you do the work, you will get an A.

I enjoyed Professor Herrle's class overall. It's time consuming, but not impossible. He is a very fair teacher/grader. Tests every two weeks. Extra credit chances are available at the end of the semester as research papers. He was very good with communicating with his students and keeping us up to date on assignments. Unfortunately the mid and final exam you have to go to a campus but overall he's a good professor very funny. When getting the textbook I recommend the online textbook you don't have to get the hard copy. STUDY STUDY FOR THE EXAM Don't study it will affect the grade ! But he's a great professor.

Not very often does one take a professor that actually cares about your learning, but this man does. He's a great person, his lectures are funny, and he makes the subject matter even more interesting. He did have a group project, so watch out for that, but I would highly recommend this man.

Talks a lot so you wont ever be bored in this class, really funny and jokes about everything so if youre sensitive to most jokes dont take the class. He makes everything easy to understand.

Professor Herrle is an amazing professor. He takes up all his class time, so don't expect to be let out early. You only have to write two articles about psychology and one essay. He has chapter quizzes-- all available online. He loves participation and he loves conversations with different opinions. I learned a ton and 100% recommend!

Taking a class with Mr. Herrle is A MUST! I seriously learned so much in his class and I actually enjoyed it. He is interactive, kind, funny, and organized. The work is not difficult but you DO have to put in the effort and time. He gives EC, only if you turn in all your assignments. Chapter exams each week. And final was closed book/notes.

This class was great! It was super easy probably the easiest class I've ever had but it still actually teaches you about the subject of the class, personal growth. The biggest thing is a Personal Growth Paper that's just reading the chapters of the text and relating them to your life. This class was spaced out really well too. Plenty of time.

He's overall a good teacher. Just stay on top of the deadlines and u'll be good. Do the chapter reading with the quizzes and the work isn't too hard. But, if you not do the work good luck trying to catch up. There are some discussion boards, honestly the longer ur response is the better grade u'll get. Also, u need to reply to 4 other comments.

The professor is amazing, always communicating and accommodating. The only thing is he shares powerpoints that don't really teach much and the test questions are incredibly hard and it seems like they're based on more than the powerpoints. No textbook besides online access to revel, pearson, and quizzes there. Just wish he'd use better materials.

Lectures are amazing and full of humor, Mr. Herrle is also a great guidance outside of the lecture. His classroom is a safe zone. One thing about the class is the quizzes do not match up with the lectures.

Come to class, have fun, and really try to learn his amazing communication of psychology and you might change your major :D.

I took the 8-week summer course so the workload was heavier but it was doable if you set time aside to complete the work. There is a big paper due at the end of the term that you have to use the concepts learned from 10 of the chapters in your paper, I highly recommend getting started on it asap.

The key to doing well in this class is reading the textbook. Attendance is not mandatory but you will miss out if you don't go to class because the lectures are so interesting and worthwhile.

Paul is an amazing professor. Before class, I got into a severe car accident. Within 30secs he descended from the heavens. He lifted my car and ran all the way to campus just so I wouldnt be late to class. Another time, I told him I needed an extension on a project bc my grandma died. Instead of giving the extension, he resuscitated my grandma.

Wow. Prof. Herrle was one of the best! He is an amazing guy that truly cares about the students in his class. There is an online textbook that you need for the quizzes that come with it. There is anywhere from 1-2 quizzes per week. Some discussion posts but very easy and straightforward. Midterm & final must be taken on campus proctored. GOAT!!

He is a very funny professor, I would take his class again he made every lecture fun and engaging. The assignments are easy if you put effort into them, just study for the quizzes and you'll be fine and get a good score as well. Mr. Herrle is an overall great teacher who is clear in what he wants. While the work may be difficult, it isn't necessarily long, and can be done within an hour or 2 if you're determined to get it done then and there. Overall a great class if you pay attention and do your work.

Took his 6 week Summer class, he was an amazing Professor with a clear goal to help his students succeed. Recommend reading the book and not missing a single Chapter Quiz. Study for the mid term and final exam, but they are only 10% of the overall grade, so don't worry so much about that. Definitely recommend taking his class.

Fun class and professor. As long as you participate, do the work, and put in effort you can get a good grade. In class you talk and relate it back to the chapter. The work is time consuming. As long as you stay on top of it, its not that bad. I would take another class from Professor Herrle. I admire his attitude and his ability to make class fun.

Seems like a great guy! Sad to have taken this class remotely. You gotta take loooots of elaborate notes, and the tests are awful, but if you're a good writer you can bank on your essays hard-carrying you to the finish line.

Was honestly a pretty good professor. Assignments weren't too difficult but some were time consuming. Very heavy lectures. Only one group project, a paper, 2 in class exams and some discussion posts but overall a decent class. He would sometimes make some weird jokes though.
