Will do anything he can to help you out if you need it. But, he doesn't care if you don't care. Would definitely take a class with him again. Easy on the eyes too.

Class is not to difficult. Doesnt take attendance, but i recommend going to class because he gives pop quizzes that are very easy and will help bring up your average. Gives 4 test and are not to hard. i would defently take another class with him.

this teacher is okay...all he does though is works out problems everyday in class and just assumes you know how to do them. there are only 4 tests, and he takes attendance pretty much everyday. even though he is rather good to look at, he is somewhat not helpful, unless you email him he will help you

This guy is an awesome teacher! Even though his class was at 8am and there was quite a bit of homework, I would definitely take him again. He does a really good job of explaining things and will help you in every way that he can if you ask him. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed his class and learned a lot. I definitely recommend this teacher.

He is a very good professor but don't expect this class to be easy! You are not allowed to use graphing calculators and there is homework online for almost every class. If you need help with anything he will be there. Really nice guy! I would definitely take his class again!

He is nice and wants everyone to do well but he doesn't explain stuff well at all, so ask questions if you don't understand. Very hard grader so study for your tests and quizzes. Do your homework because it really helps your grade in the end. I found this class to be very difficult and had to drop it because I couldn't keep up.

Puts stuff on quizzes and tests that you've never seen before. Says if you can do the hw no problem you will do well on the quizzes....not true

Hes young and a really nice and cool teacher... but when it comes to quizzes and tests.. he sucks. The quizzes have at the most 3 problems so if you get one thing wrong you have like a 60. The tests are pretty hard too, so the pirate tutoring center will be your bestfriend. He definitely knows what hes teaching, but a very hard grader.

Korneygay is a really good teacher. A lot of people struggle in the class but seriously, if you go to him he will help you! He has extended homeworks, given practice tests, and met with us whenever we need him. If you try in the class, it will show. He's easy to get along with, clear about guidelines, and I really liked his class.

He is definitely not as bad as he looks on this website if you can grasp the concepts. Simply put, if you have a hard time in math, don't take this class. If you're fairly confident in your ability, he's a pretty good professor to have. Generally a cool guy who's just trying to find his teaching feet.

He's really not bad. After reading reviews, I went in expecting the worst and he's kind of the exact opposite. He's very helpful. Pay attention in class & you'll get it; he's VERY thorough. Quizzes daily, usually 2 questions but follow the calendar and you'll do fine. Posts study guides and practices tests. Drops 5 lowest QZ grades and two HW.

Good professor. His tests come straight from the study guide. Like literally after the test is over he tells you which question off the study guide each test question came from. Can't use a graphing calculator but neither can 1065. Very helpful. Went to his office and he was always there.

Took him for my second time in 1066. He gave more homework, but was desperate to help anyone who needs it. He even offers to skype his students. Lots of time-consuming assignments, but with math that is usually needed. I would recommend him to anyone.

This is how the semester goes. Go to class, do homework online every week and some quizzes, some quizzes are in class. After doing a lot of homework, it comes time for a test and his test questions come from the book. He states what to work on in the book in his calendar. You work many problems online but his test are directly from the book.

He's a great teacher, he doesn't deserve all the bad comments. He's awesome and always willing to help. His test are hard but they are based on the study guide and the book. I do recommend taking this class if you're are really interested in learning and not just for the mandatory credit.

He's a decent professor. His class isn't exactly easy if you're not good at math but with a lot of time and preparation you can do well. He stresses his office hours for a reason. Be prepared to spend ALOT of time doing hw online. tests come from the study guide examples so do all of them. This class was alot of material in not alot of time

He's really nice and really good at explaining things. If you ask questions he will answer them. He does give a lot of homework but it's not that hard. Tests are difficult but not impossible. Overall a really good professor and I would take one of his classes again.

Really nice guy, and a very good teacher, but moves quickly in class, so if you are not prepared, you will have no idea what is going on. Homework almost every night and a quiz every week, but all quiz questions come from the book, so if you do them the night before class, the quizzes are very easy. Class is a lot of work, but not overly difficult.

He is an awesome professor. His tests are difficult, but he is always willing to help. He gives a lot of homework on line, but if you do them and get good grades you can manage low averages on your exams. He is super nice and very attractive. I would take him again.

This class is pretty tough, but like most math classes if you pay attention in class and do the homework you'll get it. In my opinion he is a excellent math teacher, and this is coming from someone who really struggles with math. Expect a bunch of homework and quizzes (He drops the 2 lowest HW grades and 6 lowest quiz grades). I'd recommend him.

Great teacher, difficult course. Don't waste money on the textbook! He posts any necessary pages online and the textbook "homework" is never taken for a grade. He explains everything clearly and offers opportunities for questions and frequently reminds students that he is available to meet outside of class. You'll have to work for an A.

This class is extremely difficult, but he makes the class just a little better. He is a great professor who really tries to teach his students. Will help anyone who needs it.

I think math 1066 is a hard subject in general, but I thought he was really good at explaining the problems. You definitely have to study your notes and do the homework but it's definitely do-able. If you skip three or more classes you will fail, also homework is a big part of your grade

Good professor! Definitely one of the best math teachers I have had. Make sure you do the homework and complete and understand the practice tests in its entirety before you take the test.

Presents the material clearly if you pay attention. Very competent! I personally loved his class, although many didn't. Very cool guy who will work with you if you need it. Not easy A, but I was able to get it. Plenty of study tools provided. The practice tests helped me the most. Highly recommend!

Pretty tough class, but if you put in the time and effort you can easily get above a C in this course. Great professor in my opinion and he gives a lot of opportunities outside of the classroom to better understand the information. I would recommend him for anyone worried about getting above a C.

The course itself is very difficult. He does a great job at giving his students multiple outlets to learn the material in order to make this difficult class somewhat easier. I really enjoyed his class despite the difficulty. This dude knows his stuff and is more thorough than other professors.

If you struggle with math I would definitely recommend this professor. While the material is difficult he does his best to ensure that each student understands what is being taught. Take advantage of office hours and tutoring when you can. Always go to class it will pay off on all assignments and tests!

Great math professor, cool and cute, but the class was very difficult itself. Lots of time consuming homework and the tests were really hard especially the final. Just study hard and take advantage of his office hours. Quizzes were mostly online on mymathlab but sometimes were in class too and were much easier than the ones online honestly.

There are several homework assignments, quizzes, 3 tests, and a final. I took AP calculus so the class wasn't too difficult. He goes over examples and teach during class. I took his 8AM and I am still going to pass with an A. His poor reviews probably come from people who don't put forth the effort and try. I would highly recommend him.

By far one of my most favorite professors. He teaches very well. There is a lot of homework and quizzes but its very necessary because of how hard the course material is.

Mr. Kornegay will definitely make you work for your grade but I promise it is worth it in the end. Of course there were weeks I didn't want to do all of the assigned homework but it was because of all the assignments that I had an A in the class before the final. I bombed the final and still made an 87 in the class. I would definitely recommend him

He is an extremely smart professor. The material is tough, but he is willing to help with anything. The class is run off of MyMathLab, so you do have to buy an access code. He drops your lowest 5 quizzes and lowest 3 HW's, and adds 10-points to your final exam to replace your lowest test score at the end if you have perfect attendance at the end.

Mr. Kornegay is a great teacher! If you do your quizzes/homework you will understand so much. The tests are the same format as the practice tests which helps alot! Overall, an amazing teacher. He is very funny in class also.

He isnt a bad professor but just know that he expects a lot. He tells you up front that there will be a ton of hw and every absence after 3 is 5% off of your final average (each). Tests are hard and the practice questions reccomended by him to study for exams with are never half as hard as the exam questions. Almost didnt pass but was my fault.

He is a verry cool guy and is a good teacher of math which is huge! hes from nc and that makes understanding everything in class alot eaiser. if you have math 1083 take him all hw is unlimited attempt.

He's a great teacher! The more effort you put in, the more he'll help you. If you don't understand the material, the book is a great resource. Office hours are always open. Hmwrk/quizzes are all online, so it's easy to get ahead. Gives great feedback. If you don't miss any class you get 10 pts. If you don't study or try, you will really struggle.

Great professor, but fast teacher. He expects a lot from his students and speeds through the examples, so attendance is important. All homework is online and there are unlimited attempts, while quizzes are both online and in-person. Graphing calculators are not used in this class and tests are not too bad if you study for them

He's really nice and knows his stuff. In class, he does go fast but will absolutely answer questions if you ask. You do all of your homework (unlimited attempts) and quizzes (3 attempts) online. You take your tests and knowledge checks (easy) online but you do it in class. He's accessible outside of class. Highly recommend.

Alot of homework since its online mostly. Keep up with work and actually try to learn it and it won't be so bad. If you keep your grades up you can even skip out on having to go to class. He was very laid back, but also tried to make sure everyone understood the material. Just do your work and show up.

He using ALEKS which is an online math application, everything is done through ALEKS so you have to buy it. And you will have a knowledge check every week and assignments with that. If you have questions he will help explain anything and you can always email him with questions .

Kornegay is a nice guy and will help you if you ask. Make sure you buy the calculator he says to or you'll struggle on knowledge checks. He doesn't really teach, so be prepared to teach yourself. Aleks is honestly the best online math program I've ever used. If you struggle with something Aleks will alert him and he will go over a practice problem.

This guy has a great ability to troubleshoot your performance and improve it. Cares about the subject and is an excellent coach if you try to get to know him, which is worth the effort. I started class expecting a C and got an A. Ask him for advice and take it. Grade is largely based on proctored exams, so take the time to learn the material.

Took this class over Winter break. Great professor, always willing to help. Always available for office hours and appointments. Lots of work but the work was beneficial.

I took this class during Winter Session and I am so happy I took it then instead of spring semester. There is a lot of work but with practice it becomes easy. Prof Kornegay is great at responding to emails and offers extra credit when you take the practice exams!

Prof Kornegay was the best mathematics professor ive ever had and Im bad at math so that says a lot. At the beginning of the semester I reached out to him about my struggles with math and he is the only professor who genuinely cares about your success with him. First A in math, long as you do the work he assigns, DO THE REVIEW questions in ALEKS.

Professor Kornegay is a really caring teacher, and he wants you to do well in the class, but you need to do your ALEKS homework so you can do well on the tests. 4 test and one scheduled knowledge check. Tests are proctored at the proctoring center or online, and not too bad as long as you do the homework. ALEKS homework every other night or so.

The professor is friendly and responds to emails quickly. Informative Video lectures are provided. Aleks's knowledge checks are annoying, the final KC is about 25 Q and worth only 5%. For Exams just study the Practice Tests, these exact types of questions will be on Exams in random order. Proctored through Examity was stressful but it's doable.

I enjoyed this online class. The lectures were informative and he also provides video explanations for everything (I didnt use them though Im sorry.) You literally work at your own pace and the actual content never got too hard. If you actually listen in class and do the homework, an a is very reasonable. Even without the videos.

I suck at math so I struggled a little bit, but Kornegay was super nice and actually cared about my grade. It was all online so I didnt see him much but compared to other math professors i think hes the best you can get.

This class was hard but honestly, the teacher cares and will have a meeting with you as much as you need. I had a F for most the class but i started going to pasc and making meetings with him and ended the class with an 85.

Prof Kornegay is definitely the best MATH 1065 professor. His class is online, but participation in online lectures matters as he has participation quizzes throughout that count. If you miss a class though, he is understanding and will let you retake the quizzes. Everything else is through ALEKS, like every other math class. Do the work, you pass.

Uses Aleks and not Math for work, which sucks. Uses lockdown browser for quizzes AND tests. Other than that, great teacher. Quick to respond to emails if you have questions and held a online meeting twice a week to help students that needed help. Don't know how helpful those meetings were since I never needed to attend one.

One of my absolute favorite professors. If you have him online and have difficulty in class - use his office hours! He is glad to help and will do what it takes to help you pass.

Although Math 1065 is mainly taught through Aleks and you don't have a lot of class time, Mr. Kornegay really cares about his students and their success. He grades very fast, gives great feedback, and is good at explaining things and really good about responding quickly through email. Overall one of the best math 1065 professors

Math 1065 is just a poorly formatted class. He is a great, passionate teacher and cares about your success. YOU WILL NOT DO WELL IN THE COURSE IF YOU DON'T PARTICIPATE IN CLASS. Get off your phone and actually take notes; I promise you will do well. I just suck at math but I feel he was the best teacher you can get for this class.
