this class broadened my views on world religion.. i learned so much more about the different religions of the world.. the study guide helps out great on exams.. which are pretty easy.. there are no trick questions.. very straight forward..

Dr. Levesque is awesome! He is so helpful, so interesting and very good at giving both the liberal and conservative views of Catholicism. I recommend him for every class he teaches.

Very interesting class! 3 essays, 1 Midterm and Test. He grades fair on essays and a little harder on tests. He's an awesome, intelligent teacher, though. If you study, you'll have no problem.

This is a class to take only if you have too... Levesque is interesting but the course is not. He is very helpfull but that does not make the subject anymore interesting. its a tough class too, for the most part.

I've had Dr. Levesque for CPRL 200, 300, 345A, and 350T and he rocks for all of them! He is funny, and you learn sooo much in his classes. Plus, the tests are not hard.

He is great. Biased in his Religion & Politics but redeemed himself in 300. Regardless he is funny and entertaining and we were able to joke around in class. It made those 3 hour classes go by much faster.

Dr Levesque is perhaps the most genunie and nicest professors at CSUF. Furthermore, you can probably get by in his classes by taking good lecture notes. I didn't necessarily read the book unless he suggested to read a particular topic. Although I would recommend buying the book just in case.

I loved this guy! He was honestly the nicest professor I've ever had and he really knew what he was talking about. His tests were easy and his lectures were pretty interesting. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn about different religions and those who want an easy A.

He's a great guy! This is the first time I took a religion class, but he keeps it interesting. Lots of movie clips, and just random info that's nice to know. The papers are easy, just summarize. Tests are open book--but just listen in class, and you'll get an A!

My favorite class ever, my favorite professor ever. He went out of his way to help me get INTO the class, and I am thankful he did. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches and he wants you to do well! It was an easy course too. I've never recommended a professor or a course so highly.

Levesque is awesome. He really wants students to do well. The class is really interesting. Study guide has everything you need to know for tests. Show up to class for attendance and notes, but puts powerpoint notes on Blackboard everyday. 2 papers, 4 exams, Final. DONT BUY THE BOOK, only the study guide. Posts grades same days as test.

He is by far one of my favorite professors. He teaches extremly well, and is very helpfull. I love the fact that he is passionate about what he does and puts alot of effort into his job, therefore making it enjoyable for students to be in his class. He is always there to help, and you he is very fair, you will get the grade you worked for.

Very nice teacher! Loved his class. Has a booklet you buy and take noter right out of there. Lecture were very straight forward. Attendance is mandatory for this class. Tests you just study right out of the booklet and you should do fine. I got an A in his class

I love this class, it gets me so motivated and interested in the different religions. I'm not the kind to ask questions but this class inspires me more thn the others and I enjoy seeing Pr. Levesque's enthusiasm. He takes time to find answers for students questions and even in a large classroom his lectures are esy to follow and understand

Very good professor. Lectures are very clear. Learn a lot in this class. Helps u 2 b more open minded & explains religions so that you can almost put yourself in other's shoes. Make sure to study the workbook the most, not the textbook. Just do well on Exams and don't procrastinate with studying, this class is all about memorization. Pretty easy.

Prof. Levesque is such a great professor and you can really tell that he's into what he is teaching. Because he's so nice, it seems that he can't get mad because he is scared of the students lol. No hw, exams after the end of every religion learned(4, i think?). Overall, it's an easy A.

Levesque is a nice guy. He can be a bit scatterbrained at times going off topic and talking to himself, but he isn't bad. This was not my favorite class, but only because I am a strong Christian and I feel that the way he teaches his class kind of promotes all the religions he teaches. The part on Christianity wasn't entirely accurate in my opinion

Later discussions were great and entertaining.Tests are easy but there are 3 longer essays and 5 video projects but only 1 page. Also a current event presentation. Highly recommend.

I took the web section of his class and it was great! He was extremely organized from day 1 (he posted every single assignment and duedate on blackboard). I would definitely suggest this class to someone else.

Just about the nicest, sweetest professor I've ever met-- always willing to help even if you make frustrating mistakes. This particular class includes lots of current events discussion(great for politics junkies), the writing assignments are fairly easy, and the exams are partly open-book so you don't need to memorize everything.

Very caring professor, uses a note taking book and you just fill in the blanks and tests come straight from it. Expect a page report about once every 2 weeks and an exam every 3 weeks. In summary, easy class but assigns a good amount of hw. I would take this professor if you like easy going classes

This man is one of the greatest teachers ever. He LOVES what he teaches and it is quite obvious. He tends to backtrack and stumble on his words sometimes but its bearable. Online Class: Class structure was well organized; promptly responds to emails. Weekly workbook, which corresponds to a lecture, video, and readings; weekly communication assignment (email, discussion post, or essay); three essays total; weekly timed quiz; cumulative final. Read and complete assignments and you shouldn't have any trouble.

Professor Levesque is a AMAZING professor! So passionate & knowledgable! I gave him a A! As for the topic/ content itself, Catholicism, it was pretty good. Some topics were REALLY interesting, others a bit boring. Still Levesque is a great lecturer. It's not a easy A, but very attainable to get a B-C. I recommend the class and Professor L.

Paul is awesome! He is very informative during his lecture and knows a lot about what he teaches. 3 papers a midterm in final which consist of 25 t/f and 25 short answers. Take notes , go to class, and read a little " even though i never really did" best professor ive had at csuf without a doubt.

Easily one of the best professors at CSUF. Extremely nice and helpful. He is extremely clear in everything he expects you to know and the study guides are extremely representative of what's on the exam. Your grade is based off three papers and two exams. Not the easiest A in the world, but extremely passable.

Took this class online and Prof. Levesque was so organized and well prepared for every week. He laid out everything for us in a timely and comprehensible manor and it was extremely easy to do all the work. Pay attention to the lecture, and do the readings and assignments assigned and you should be just fine. He is so nice and and easy grader!

I took his online class and I loved it! Extremely organized and well thought out. He posts assignments early so that you can complete them in a timely manner. There are a lot of assignments so if you do poorly on one you will have a chance to get your grade back up. Bad news is that you have to get 94% to get an A, a little high if you ask me.

Took this course online. He is extremely helpful! 3 modules due every week and consists of 70+questions. ALOT of work and quizzes at the end of ea. Module. Final is on the entire course, hard but do-able. 3 essays. Ended up with a B

Summer session demanded a LOT! 3 modules per week, each with a quiz, little assignment, and a workbook with 70+ questions. Concept was fair to understand. However, easy to get a B, HARD to get an A. He is extremely helpful, and will reply almost instantly. Excellent prof. overall.

Great class and amazing professor. He's totally passionate about the subject. The classwork consists of a workbook where you answer questions in class and study those for the tests. Homework is an assigned question that you answer and have to say out loud in class every chapter. Easy, but it's also a great class. Highly recommend.

Good teacher that had his class organized. do the modules and answer all the questions and some of the quiz answers are online so look them up and the final and midterm are straight from the modules

Levesque is a highly organized professor who makes the boring subject of religion tolerable. Attendance mandatory because he takes roll. Must listen to him and follow along his powerpoints because you fill in the notebook you must purchase. Tests comes straight from the notebook, so memorize it well. Easy A in my opinion.

It's an easy class, but get ready for a lot of busy work. You have around 80 + questions a week to answer, and you MUST get all the books. There's no way around that. It's easy to leave the HW to the last minute, but it will suck if you do with the amount he gives.

This class demands a lot of time. Consists of reading about 40 pages a week and completing a workbook consisting of 60-80 questions. There's a quiz at the end of each week. Only three 2-page essays. FASTEST GRADING PROFESSOR EVER. I even got my essay back the next day. He emails very promptly. One of the best online courses!

Dr. Levesque makes the online experience as convenient as possible. This was my first ever online class and it was a great experience for me. It requires staying on top of things and taking several hours out of your week but this course isn't hard. He responds to e-mails quickly too.

Not even a religion major, but one of the best experiences Ive had taking an online class. Clear directions each week. Just watch the 2-3 short videos and read the chapter while doing the worksheet, take the weekly quiz, do a discussion post. 3 hours of work per week. Awesome guy, easy class, and very interesting actually.

I enjoyed the lectures, all in video format online. He checks your Titan Audit to see what classes you need to earn a minor or major in the Comp Religious dept. Available by email and office hours. Amazing and fun lectures. New Testament and general global statistics are used to show how Christianity spread across the Diaspora in ancient times. Fun

Dr. Levesque is absolutely amazing! I took his Conceptions of the Afterlife class and it was so interesting. He made everything super easy to use through Canvas. Very interesting material in a super clear format. I definitely recommend taking RLST 375 with him!

Dr. Levesque is such a great person, and RLST375 is an interesting course! I looked forward to Dr. Levesque's pre-recorded lectures every week because of his creativity. Two exams, a weekly workbook, one paper, and short communication posts.

Professor Levesque is such a kind professor and he actually cares about his students! The online course consists of weekly assignments due every Sunday which include a workbook, a discussion post, and a small quiz. They are all fairly easy and all the answers to the workbook are from the reading. As long as you complete the workbooks you'll be set!

RECOMMEND. Very nice professor, wants you to do well. Quizzes each week (15 ?'s). HW is workbooks- answers in every lecture. Roughly 75 ?'s to workbooks, but you go through them quick- based on lectures. Had one paper- choose 1 religion outside of lectures to discuss. Final and midterm is quiz/workbook ?'s. Free textbook on canvas. Learned a lot.

The professor is super sweet and is accessible outside of class. He has a clear format/ is very organized. Each week there are workbook questions, a quiz, and sometimes it's either a discussion board or an email to him. There are two exams, overall, you'll be fine as long as you study the workbook questions.

This class is super easy but also very informative. There's weekly short lectures, reading, a workbook, quiz, and discussion forum. There's also one short paper (3-4 pages) and two exams. Prof Levesque is great and quick to respond to any questions, I'd highly recommend!

Once you figure out the format of the modules, they are very easy to follow. Clear instructions, clear due dates, and interesting lectures. He's accessible by text and answers quickly. All test answers are in the study guides. He handled the various religions with respect and I appreciated that. Highly recommend Dr. Levesque.

Probably the best professor in this subject, you can tell he wants you to learn and makes it a fun experience for the student. There is a lot of reading but it pays off since that's how the answers to the workbook is found. Quizzes can be hard due to how much is covered but they are all open note. A professor that cares about his students, 10/10.

Absolutely brilliant professor!! One midterm, one paper, one final exam, and weekly homework. Lectures consist of weekly videos that tie into homework so you can't skip but the lectures are very engaging and not long since I watch at double speed. Have to use the textbook as well for the hw but you can always ctrl+f it. 10/10 would recommend him!!

Paul Levesque is an amazing professor and RLST 375 is such an interesting course! As long as you are willing to put in the time for his lectures and readings, it should be very easy to get a good grade! I am sad that I won't be able to take any more classes with him because I am in a different major. This is one of the best classes I've ever taken!

Dr. Levesque's RLST375 class is a great online option. The workbooks, quizzes, and discussion posts make it easy to stay on top of the material. I found Unstuck study really helpful for preparing for the exams. Overall, an engaging and manageable course.

This is a great, easy class for the semester. There is a workbook once a week that you just watch videos and fill-in the blanks to and a weekly quiz afterwards (only 15 questions). You can finish all the work for the week in about one to two hours. He also responds super fast and cares about his students.

Just an all around great professor and class. Canvas is extremely organized and straightforward. Just the right amount of work required and no subjective or nitpicky grading. Every week was a workbook for a couple videos and readings, sometimes a discussion board, and a quiz, plus two exams over the semester.

Really straightforward and organized canvas page. Simple lectures that I found pretty interesting, and his notes are pretty much a fill-in-the-blank kind of situation. He's really caring, and is one of the easiest classes I've had.

As long as you complete the assignments, you'll be fine. He has good videos that explain everything clearly, and you can tell he enjoys the subject. The weekly assignment can sometimes feel long, but it always follows the same structure. He responds quickly to any questions and is very supportive if students need help.
