A lot of his reviews said he was fair and he explained concepts very well. WRONG. I was in his first class that he decided to do a test every two weeks. Not only is taking a test every other week slightly ridiculous, the tests themselves were ridiculous. His ideal average is a 50. Right now I have a 44.5 average and it's considered a B.

We had a test every other week, which seemed good at 1st, however, having a test every other week made it feel like you never got a break from the class. The tests weren't easy, he aimed for a 50 avg. He also ended up throwing out a question because they were worded wrong, which really made an impact since they were only 10 questions.

You have 7 tests for your grades, that's all. Each one is 10 questions long and timed. This doesn't bother me much except half multiple answer per question, ando really only pertain to the specific facts from the book. No matter how many review sessions you attend or homework you do you can still fail tests as he uses "tricky" wording for questions

Change your major or take Chem 102 somewhere else. He might be one of the worst professors at A&M. You are also expected to read ahead for already impossible tests and he is shocked when his average is a 37. He will also test you on material in the next chapter just to see "who deserves an A". Do not listen to any good review. I studied about 5 hours a day for this class and wouldn't have made an A if he hadn't curved at the end. Tests are t/f and a few math that are worth 10 points each, so miss one math and its a B. Nice guy but terrible at teaching. Lindahl is a slay man, but he can be confusing and takes offense to leaving class early. All one needs to do to get As in his class is go to the IA lectures. Ms. Goetz is the best bc she explains whatever is on the hw/prac exam and that is all you have to know. Book can be helpful too. I attended lecture solely for Lindahl's personality.

I do not believe Dr. Lindahl is as bad as people make him out to be. Out of the 7 exams at least 4 were ones that you can do really well one if you go to all of his lectures, make sure you understand his slides, and do the practice and homework. Lectures and the slides he posts are important. The curves are so generous as well.

As long as you show up, pay attention, do the optional HW/Practice Exams, & study more than once a month, you'll do fine. The grade depends on 7 exams (lowest is dropped) and a final, so there's an exam every 2 weeks. Sounds scary, but they are generously curved to the point that a 60 will usually get you a B. SI sessions are also very helpful!

I LOVE PAUL LINDAHL. Everyone is so dramatic abt this class. 7 lecture exams means very little content on each, all of which is IN HIS SLIDES. Keys to an A: Go to lecture and take notes.
