Professor Mink was an awesome instructor! His lectures were stimulating he kept the laboratories interesting by expressing his passion for the topic. If he saw a student falling behind, he did everything he could to keep them up to speed by staying after class and even meeting on the weekend. Overall, he was the best professor I ever had!

Paul is a 'student's teacher'. He NEVER lets you walk away until you understand and all your questions are answered. He is easy to approach, truly interested in his class, and gears his teaching towards the student. His enthusiasm for the material captures the class's attention and he goes over and above any instructor I've had.

This guy does everything he can to help you out. He listens to class feedback when shaping quizzes/tests, offers plenty of great advice and is a great guy with a real passion for the topic. The material is tough and takes studying, but if you can put the work in and have a passion for the material, he's the best kind of professor you can have.

Paul is a great guy. Attendance is mandatory because its a lab - and its only twice a week. He is willing to make tests in the format you want and help you out with anything. He wants to you pass and will help you if you try. Best class I had all semester hands down.

Had this professor fall of 2010. He is a very, very, very good teacher. I missed a few classes and was worried about not being able to catch up and he helped me out, and got me bak on track. Knows what hes talking about and is very willing to help out students after class or some other time. Wants students to succeeed! Best teacher I've ever had!

Paul is the best teacher i have had here at lcc. he dosent expect you to memorize the material, but understand it and apply it in a real life situation. he is extermely flexable and will work with you if you ever need extra time with him outside of class. i have taken multiple classes with him. he is a great teacher!!

Paul was THE reason I received a 4.0 in this class. He made very daunting material extremely managable and gave the class input on the way the class ran. There are 5 journal assignments that are time consuming but he specifies what he expects & is very fair. He reviews for all of the exams and is a great instructor! Paul is an awesome teacher. He generally cares about each and every student. He asks the class what he can do better to help on a constant basis. My major has nothing to do with BIO but Paul made it interesting. I wish I had more required classes that he taught. If you can take Paul, DO IT!

Really, really cool guy. Funny as all get out. He makes sure that everyone does well in his class. He can relate real world applications to the most obscure concept we covered in the text. He is the best instructor I have had here at LCC and at MSU. I would recommend him to anyone.

I learned so much in Professor Mink's class! It is easily my favorite class now with my favorite teacher. He lectures before the lab starts so we know exactly what we are doing, so no guesswork. The lab manual sucks, but that's not his fault, it's LCC's. I didn't feel like I had to memorize anything because it all made sense.

This was one of my favorite teachers and classes I've had at LCC. Professor Mink gave us every opportunity to do well in his class. He worked hard to make sure we had powerpoint notes, animations and study guides that prepared us for each quiz and exam. Lab time was my favorite, it was a lot of fun! I highly recommend this teacher! I learned a lot!

Paul was an excellent teacher! He was always willing to help students out to make sure they understood what was going on. I wish I'd had him for the lecture part of micro in addition to the lab. If you can take a class with him, do it!!! He was super helpful and it's obvious that he really wanted his students to succeed.

I love this guy! Our Friday morning lab met at 8:00 and a lot of us came in really tired from the week, since we can't have food in the lab, Paul had us meet for coffee in the cafeteria for a 20 minute "pre-lab" so we could wake up and get on track. I didn't think I was going to do that well since science was not my thing, but it is now! I got a 4.

My favorite teacher so far at LCC, because he applied the information directly to real life situations, which made learning in the class very easy. It's obvious he takes a very personal interest in the student's learning and wants them to succeed. Very helpful, I definitely recommend you take any Biology class you can through Paul.

He was always willing to work with students outside of class as well as before class for those last minute study sessions before the exams. i would highly reccommend to take paul for any biology class.

I only wished I had found him sooner. By far the best prof. I have had at LCC, I left with more knowledge in this 1 cr class than I had aquired in all my science classes this far. Fair, honest, funny & will do just about anything to help you learn the material. Lots of med exp. which helps relate the material to real life. Take this instructor.

I really enjoyed having Paul for a teacher. I expressed to him that I am not a strong test taker. He went out of his way to help me by answering questions before and after class. He does great test review too! I'm not a huge fan of lab courses but somehow Paul made it tolerable. Take this teacher!

Paul really makes you think, What is the next logical step or How does this apply to my profession or Why is this important? He doesn?t leave you hanging, he explains everything and it makes sense. I own this stuff now. I?m paying a lot of money for this education so I don?t want lists to memorize, I want to understand it and he makes that happen.

I really appreciate how Professor Mink taught this course. He is always walking around the lab giving hints on how our techniques can improve. He is a great teacher often wonder why he does not teach more courses. Instruction is clear and if you did not understand he answered any questions that you have. He should teach more classes at LCC

EXCELLENT instructor. He's super helpful and actually reads all the test questions before the exam. I had him for lab, also, and he will read the journal writeups, give feedback, and let you redo it for a better grade!

I thought I would hate this class, but after taking Microbiology with Paul, I now want to make it my major! He makes it so interesting! Best professor by far!

I took Paul for microbiology and he was awesome. He lets you know exactly what to expect on every test. He is very smart and teaches things in a way that keep you interested.

SUPER AWESOME instructor!!!!! Very interested in how you as a student are doing and he's EXTREMELY helpful with assignments. He goes the extra extra mile to make sure you're doing well. On top of that, he gives a lot of extra credit. Be prepared to work diligently, though. Don't be lazy!!!!

Paul has a totally different way of teaching physiology and so far, everyone in this class has a 4.0!!! We're doing group work and get to take tests together. There is no way I could learn this much sitting in some lecture. It's a lot of work, but a lot of fun too. Now I wish that all my other instructors taught like Paul, they're all so boring.

Paul Mink is hands down the best professor I have ever had. He is a very good teacher who is fair and cares about his students doing well. He is more interested in the student learning the material than grading harshly. His class is very, very easy to do well in. I would highly recommend him for this course and the lab portion as well. I was really worried about taking this Anatomy & Physiology class since I have been out of school for so long. Paul said he had confidence in me and I got a 4.0! He was great and very helpful. Don't be scared away, he makes it totally understandable. I loved the dessert party afterward too!

I took Micro lab with Paul in Fall 2011. He was/is such an awesome professor. There is a lot of out-of-class work, but he also realizes that we're people too & have busy lives outside of the class and will work with you to get assignments in on time/in a reasonable timeframe. Not sure if he still teaches this course- If so, take it w/ him!

He learned all of our names and what field we were going into on the first day of class! He really likes his students and teaching. I like how he spends time going over the clinical parts of everything we are learning and explains how each thing we are learning will be used in our practice. It is making a lot of sense now.

Awesome teacher! Very willing to help if you have any questions. The Journals are tough but he grades them with comments and allows ach one to be redone a second time. The get easier after you get the hang of them. Group test. I HIGHLY recommend. Micro is not my strong subject but if you put in the work and go to class you can pass with a 4.0!

He is the BEST Professor I ever had at this Institute. Wish he was teaching other calls I definitely would have taken with him. Extremely helpful goes out of his way to help his students, very knowledgeable, and yes entertaining too. Made this boring class into fun! Don't have enough words to praise him. Paul is an amazing professor! He knows his anatomy. I would not buy the lab manual or the book. His powerpoints are clear. Just make sure you attend class and contribute with your group. Fun class! would take it all over again!

He does not lecture so his class requires you do a lot of outside work. He does clicker questions with your assigned group that you get in the beginning of the semester. Exams are taken with this same group and labs are taken individually so thats a plus and a minus. he is a good professor and answers questions in a way you can understand

Paul lets you work in groups all the time and you can tell he really wants you to succeed in his class. He really cares about his students and takes the time to make sure you understand. 5 lecture exams and 5 lab practicals and he makes sure you're prepared before you take them.

Paul has been one of my favorite teachers at LCC. He is laid back and always willing to help. He cares a lot about his students and sets them up to succeed. He is a fair grader and he makes sure that everything he does is in the best interest of the student. 100% recommend.

He definitely became one of my favorite professors. He works with you for extra credit if you need it and enjoys when you ask questions if you don't know something. He took suggestions for modifying his teaching style and modeled it around what we needed. You can tell he really cares about everyone learning the material.
