Very arrogant, sarcastic and makes you feel stupid for asking questions event though he encourages it. A lot of people dropped early in the term. Tests are nothing like his lectures. DO NOT TAKE!!!

I want to know why he is teaching. He shows no knowledge of the subject, and more than half the class dropped or failed. His tests are unfair, he doesn't lecture well, and cannot answer questions from students about hmwk and quizzes.

He is not very helpful, and he makes even the simplest problem complicated. I hated this class and learned more from the TA.

do not take this class you will be sorry in the future. he gives tests on what is not yet taught and the work in the test is much harder than anything done in class not to mention the toughness of the online hw. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS

Worst possible teacher. No sense of subject matter, trips over his words, takes all class to figure out what he did wrong in one problem. One recitation class = whole year of his lectures.

Professor Rowe is very difficult. He can be very sarcistic and acts rude if you don't know how to do something. He also collects homework BEFORE asking if you need help on it and doesn't grade homework as well as he could have. Be weary of taking a class with him.

he's very rude! his office hours doesn't help. Won't drop low scores unless you have conference with him with parent involved. Class SUX! takes forever to explain one problem! i dropped out because his test are totally different from work! DO NOT TAKE!!!!

Terrible teacher. He won't help any of his students. I asked him to help me on a problem and he responded sarcastically "I don't know, can I?", then never did. Never take him.

words cannot describe how much i disliked this teacher. DONT take his class... he is horrible at explaining, bad tempered, and very strange. I have always made great grades in math until i took his class.

If you are a math genius and simply don't want to take a hard math, take it with him. You won't learn anything and your math past will cover you. If you hate math and/or is bad at it, this man will make you loathe it and fail you at the same time. Do not take this class if you want any chance for a good grade.

He is very hard, and has no heart. Plus if you dont do it his way, he will fail you! What ever you do do not take him!!!!

I withdrew from this class. This guy never understood the questions I was asking, the homework level was ridiculous, and the TAs were no help at all.

Do not take this prof if you want to learn something useful! When asked if he can answer a question, his response was "come to class on Tuesdays". Not helpful at all. Expect a quiz EVERY Thursday. Does not explain the material well. I would not recommend this professor to anyone!!!!!

Worst teacher of my life. Horrible grader. Not clear, AT ALL. His class feels like your watching paint dry. He assumes you already know the material and when you ask for clarification, he confuses you even more. He uses the hardest and most confusing methods to solving a problem when there is clearly an easier way. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

I learned more in the first 30 minutes of the Friday breakout with the TA than I did in the 2 and a half hours a week I spent sitting in lecture.

I had already took algebra passed with an "A", and was recommended this class because it was considered "intermediate algebra." Very unclear, never answered my questions directly, and talked down to the class like we were stupid.

The absolute WORST professor i've ever had. Such a bad teacher and just rude human being. He can't explain things at all and had weekly quizzes on material he hadn't even covered or told us to study. Very rude, avoid at all costs.

Absolutely one of the worst professors I have ever had. Avoid at all costs!!! He is very arrogant and snippy, you either know it or you dont, and in his class you better know it. He stops class when you have your phone out and tells you to go to Starbucks if you would rather be on your phone. Listen to this warning: AVOID HIM!!

Would not recommend this professor to anyone! No lecture,only does examples out of the book or makes them up. A lot of online homework. Only 2 exams and a final.

Avoid this teacher at all costs. The absolute worst math professor I've ever had. I'm not even bad at math but this teacher made everything so hard to understand that I had to sit there every night and teach myself each concept. AVOID HIM!!

This dude is not helpful at all. He is definitely the worst professor that I've ever had, whenever I had a question he would give me the dirtiest look. Whenever he did decide to answer a question, he would answer something irrelevant to the question I just asked him. Everyone in our class hates him because of his attitude.

There is homework 2 times a night which I recommend doing. There are two tests and a final which are graded extremely harshly. I would not take this class if you want to spend every day in professor Rowe's office hours.

An overall awful, painful experience. He used a program called Aleks for my class, the amount of HW was unmanageable(144 modules due 1st week). Quizzes every week, multiple exams plus final. No way of knowing your overall grade unless you ask. Even if you manage to pass all his tests, the homework is 15% of your grade, there's no way around it.

DON'T. Just don't. Confuses the class and incapable of answering questions so students can understand. You have to teach yourself the material and there's an obscene amount of homework disproportionate to the amount of time spent on the chapter in class. Also incredibly rude and belittling to students. Some will say "sarcastic" They're wrong

Professor Rowe is the last person you want to take for math. If you can avoid him find someone better!! He does not lecture, he simply writes and answers a problem and does not explain how and why he gets the answer. Everything on mymathlab: online homework and quizzes and a paper quiz for every class with 4 tests and a cumulative final. STINKS!

He doesn't actually answer any questions. If you try and answer a problem and get it wrong he doesn't care to explain the right answer he simply makes a joke out of it. Awful teacher.

The first and only class I dropped throughout my career in college. His teachings are unclear, he's very fast, sarcastic, makes you feel dumb, gives quizzes every week (i went to tutoring for EVERY week and still failed), no extra credit, mymathlab sucks. He teaches OKAY during office hours but doesn't help that much during his 1 hour office hours.

Run. Avoid at all costs. He rushes lectures and the absurd amount of homework doesn't correlate to the class at all.

I barely got anything out of this class. Dr. Rowe was extremely rude when people would ask questions or answer something wrong. Everything I learned from this class was because I took a statistics class before this. Save yourself the annoyance and walk away.

Do NOT take him. Had to withdraw from this class because I didnt learn anything from him & failed. It was scary to ask questions because he laughed or made a rude comment when you asked something that he thought you should know already. Doesnt even post grades, so good luck ever finding out what you have (its extremely hard). Seriously, dont.

Avoid this professor if you can. The homework is entirely to much homework you wont have time to study for other classes Its like up to 90 topics on Aleks due everyweek . His way of teaching is poor.

The class itself was super easy, it was basically middle school math. There was a lot of homework but it wasn't really hard, just boring. Had to pay for Aleks which sucks. Rowe himself is kind of rude, but as long as you don't ask questions or interact with him in any sort of way he wont be condescending to you.

Just dont... Doesnt care about his students passing and doesnt teach. If you cant learn from MML then youre screwed. Very rude and condescending remarks, he is also very unpleasant to talk to. My pet fish is a better teacher.

Unless you are taking an easy schedule dont take this class! So much homework each week that there is next to no time for anything else. He has quizzes every week and has a total of 3 tests which have up to 60 questions with multiple parts in each question. Professor is rude and doesnt help you understand anything when you are struggling.

We used MyMathLab but didn't need a book bc it was on that, don't take this class. he does not care about you or the grade you have in his class, sometimes unable to answer his own question from the homework, attendance not mandatory but if you don't go you will fall behing. save your money and take another class.

He sucks. I learned more from just reading the textbook on my own time than I did attending class. If he's your only option, just skip class and use the time to self-teach. His class is a waste of time. He screws up his own questions. If he can't complete an example in two hours, you won't be able to do a 60 question test in two hours either.

I had the misfortune of being auto-placed in his class because my other class was canceled. You are better off teaching yourself the material. Save yourself time and money and wait until a different professor becomes available. Every class we had a quiz and you'd be forced to sit and do your homework on MyMathLab for an hour after quizzes. Just no.

Just endless quizzes, sometimes forgets that he's an instructor supposed to teach to the unexperienced and assumes that students have had experience with limits and derivatives. The only positive was that you can find him in office hours to get the missing feedback on his extensive quizzes.
