Awesome Teacher- MAT 121 was overwhelming, but 122 with him is great. Very little homework, class is very relaxed. Highly reccomended!!

I got a C in MAT 121 w/ Frederick, but got an A with Prof. S! He is truly amazing, and actually made the class enjoyable. I reccomend him to everyone!

Mr. Schwiegerling is a great guy! He really cares that everyone understands what is being taught, and provides plenty of examples! There are only 3 tests, so you need to do well on them, but he really prepares you well, and you get to bring 2 3x5 index cards with info on them to the tests. He is a great professor! Take him!!!!

Mr.S is very calm & easy going. He takes his time in explaining the materials and as long as you ask questions, he will be sure to help you understand before moving on. He prepares you well for tests. He is definitely there for the students! Don't think you can show up freely & then expect him to cater to you! He makes learning fun & interesting.

Mr. S is a great professor. I had him for Statistics 311 and Math 122. He makes stats understandable. For 122 he provides useful information and activities you will remember and actually use in your future classrooms. Grades on a curve and will graciously help when you need it. I highly recommend this professor for any course.

Take this professor for stats!! I had to retake this class because my credits did not transfer. He makes stats understandable. I am by no means a math genius but i did very well in this class. I actually was choked up leaving the final. He's a wonderful teacher and a wonderful person. Math is not a strong subject for me and I usually find anyway imaginable to get out of going to other classes. Not this time!! Very, very nice professor, extremely knowledgeable and goes out of his way to make sure his students fully understand the material. It is fast paced, but he made MAT-311 interesting and fun to learn! Go to class, do the assignments/homework, study for tests (only 2 tests and a final) you will definitely get a good grade! PS. He LOVES Chocolate!!

There are two exams and a final that are short and straight forward. He goes over everything that will be on them. There is ocasionally homework, maybe like 5 assignments total. Two actually handed in. As for teaching, he was very clear and took the time to make sure everyone understood the material. He was willing to help before and after class.

Statistics can be tough but schwiegerling does a great job of providing students with the help they need. Would recommend to any BSC student if you have to take stats.

Easy class if you pay attention and go to class. Nice guy. Need your textbook daily. Fair grader. Give extra credit on the day before vacation if your one of the few to show up.

Mr.S is a great professor and is all about making sure YOU AS HIS STUDENT understands the material.(and not leave any student behind.) He doesn't grade off of attendance, but you wont understand things if you skip. Take him if you need help with math. He takes it slow. There are 4 test and one was open book.He also does extra credit for poor grades

I think Professor S is great. He helps the students with their grades alot. Math has got to be my worse subject, but taking it with this professor has made it alot better for me. If there is any questions in which professor to take I would choose this one. The only concern I have is, what is my grade? Since there are so many makeups.GREAT PROFESSOR

If your start slacking then you will be behind pretty much the rest of the semester. This is what happened to me so don't do it people. It's very easy and simple if you try your best. He has alot of experience & is great at clarifying complicated topics. Beware, if you don't have a strong understanding of algebra then he will criticize and marvel at the fact you even made it to college. His favorite question is "how did you make it past 6th grade." If your taking any math course i recommend you take it with him. Just be careful because its very easy to lose track and fall behind.

Mr. Schwiegerling is an excellent instructor who explains Calculus slowly,using the large three Blackboards.He does not go fast. As a result whatever is taught in the class is understood very well. He does not give a hell of a lot of H.W. rather gives right amount of H.W. at each week. Whatever is done in the class is given for the Test.

Calculus is a difficult course but Schwiegerling makes it as easy and painless as possible. He's very helpful and passionate about math and teaching and is a very nice man. There is homework and group work every week which is very helpful. I would recommend him for any math class you might take.

This was more than a Calc course. Words that describe him... Clear, Concise, Polite, Humorous, Appropriate, Genius, Understanding, MOST IMPORTANT he is the most fair Professor I have ever had, he treated everyone identical, from the annoying, to slow, to smart, to silly and obnocious. He was fair, and you'll be lucky to have him as a Professor.

Best Math Professor I've had at Buff State so far. He breaks down the material so that it is easier to understand and encourages you to speak up if your confused. He is also always more than willing to help you.

Such an easy professor! You will literally have to TRY to fail this class. I took it over the summer, so it was only 4 weeks long, but even then, we were almost always let out early. Explains topics extremely well! Very recommended for non-math and math majors alike!

I took this class over the summer and at first I was very nervous because I heard it was a very difficult class. But I learned so much from this class and he was very helpful with all assignments. It was very low key and we did a lot of group work, which helped me to understand other parts of the course. I highly recommend him.

Great professor. Material is moderately difficult but he does a great job explains it. If you have a question, he will stop mid-lesson to answer it. He also allows for make-up tests if you struggle on the test. You would be foolish to not take this professor.

With the expectations of Statistics being a difficult class,I surprisingly enjoyed this course after taking it with this enthusiastic professor.He is extremely helpful and wants you to succeed.I truly enjoyed going to class. I do not like math classes and if I took this with anyone else I probably would have failed. That being said, he is an amazing teacher and I would recommend anyone to take his class. Attendance really wasn't mandatory but in order to get a good grade you have to show up to learn the material. He would also give us problems to get extra credit.

I am a math minor pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering so obviously i need calculus. This professor right here made it so easy for me to grasp the material and bring it into real life scenarios ( "Calculus used in real life?! how?" ) he takes his time going through the material and he helps you out when test time comes around. Hard course but as long as you show up and try your hardest you can pass. Ask as many questions as you want, he will answer them all. He wants you to understand so you can stop him to ask whatever you want.

One of the top 5 best professor here at buff state(if there is a top 5) . You can learn a lot in so little time. If you don't go to class, how will you know? But he lets you know! He will explain one thing over and over until you get it. take the class!

Great at what he does. He's very clear and concise, if you come to class you will most definitely pass the class. Always goes over what's on his tests and he has a sense of humor. If you don't come, you will definitely fail - he goes through a section/2 every class, as long as you follow along you'll have no problem. I would take class w/him again.

He also has two degrees in mechanical engineering making him rather well rounded compared to other teachers in the math program at buffalo state.

Professor S is the Man. I had him for MAT127 also. His teaching techniques are hands down the BEST. His exams are straight forward! Exactly what you learnt in class (Unlike other professor's). He will slow class down so that EVERYONE is on board. He really wants everyone to pass once your giving effort. If you need more help just ask him.

Mr. Schwiegerling is fair, friendly, and easygoing. He leaves it up to you to ask questions if you are lost. If you don't ask questions, he can't help you. His tests directly cover the material presented in class. If you don't come to class, it would be easy to get behind. He is approachable, and makes the material interesting and accessible.

Gives a reasonable amount of homework, but does not grade it; it is used solely to ensure the students understand the material and will be more successful on the tests. Steadily paced teaching with clear instructions and descriptions of concepts. Lots of example problems in class to assure full comprehension. Exam is non-cumulative!

If you are going to take any math class, this class is it! He teaches Intro to Probability and Statistics (Math 311). Professor Schwiegerling makes the topics very easy to understand and takes time making sure you know it. Best Math instructor I have ever had! Gives review questions for test, do them and you'll do well. Very understanding.

One of the best professors I have chosen this semester. He made the idea of statistics very likable for me, my only issue is that his grading criteria is very confusing. Other than that, this professor is worth taking.

Professor Schwiegerling was very knowledgeable about the topics he covered. Before he goes on he asks if anyone needs help and makes sure everyone is understanding the material. You definitely have to come to class if not youll be lost.

Professor Schwiegerling was fun! He is hilarious and clearly very knowledgeable. You definitely do need to show up to class to know what is going on! My favorite part was that the lessons were very easy to follow simply done on a white board with very organized work and exceptionally neat handwriting. He answers all questions thoroughly.

Super easy class. The last test he let you have a cheat sheet, so it was an easy hundred. Textbook used often in class, lots of homework but ungraded. Nice teacher, very willing to help.

This was one of the best teachers I ever had. One of a few who inspired me to switch to teaching. He made what could be difficult material easy for everyone to understand. He would slow down when needed, but never punished people who were ahead and might skip review or leave early. Professor S made math into art.

Professor S. was the best math teacher I've ever had. He was awesome! He helped me understand everything and walked me through things that I struggled with. I would definitely take his class again in the future.

By far one of the best math professors I've ever had. He makes subjects that could be difficult to understand so easy. Not only that but he lets you make test corrections. Highly recommend this professor.

Professor Schwiegerling was the best Professor Ive had at Buffalo State and probably the best Ive had in my entire educational career. He is so willing to help with any questions you have and makes you feel important. I struggled in the class but his generosity for his students made it all worth it. He will do anything to help you succeed!!!!
