Very nice and helpful teacher inside and out of class. His requirements are a little much with the amount of papers he wants, but is flexible with what you want to write on. He sometimes gets off on tangents in class, but definetly loves to teach.

Mr. Stark is who you think of when someone says "absent minded professor." He knows from life experiences the things he teaches. He forgets things all the time, and he has great discussions. I recommend him for anyone.

A more than fair on line teacher. If you are not independently motivated, then you should not take an on line class. If you are motivated, you will receive an "A". In class teachers do not hold your hand nor should you expect it from an online teacher. I have taken several on line classes and he was one of the best.

Stark is a nice enough guy...but blabs on and on about absolutely nothing if you are in his lecture class...definitly know what his religion is cause he talks about it like it is everyone elses too. Takes forever to give papers back and don't even think he grades it...just counts words...easy A but not fun and no guidance...manditory musesme visit

True, he does like to carry one topic to the ends of the Earth and he takes forever to grade papers, but he's a fun teacher! He's very nice and easygoing. His syllabus is clear, so you know exactly what's expected in the class. The museum trips were mandatory, but we could all use a little more art in our lives.

Got grades? I got one paper graded in the first month of class, but didn't get the other seven graded until the last day of class. I e-mailed him, and at first he seemed concerned. However, I never got a grade and he never answered me again. Ended up with an A, but not knowing that was my grade until the last minute was frustrating.

I guess he is getting better at grades, but still a little slow though.Not very interesting class.95% of the time we watched videos recorded off PBS,but it was a waste of time because all tests were take home.Hardest part was 4 650 word research papers that he grades very easy.8 other papers were required to,but only needed to be 2 paragraphs long.

Good teacher and knows how to help students very well. you may have to go to the museum for research, but that is okay. He love research papers so if you do not like writing or typeing that much do not take him. but if you follow all the steps for the paper then you will get an "A" for the class.

very easy class on line self pace I am finished with the class an still have two weeks left. Is slow about grading papers. I am still waiting for four grades on papers turned in last month. Does not answer e mails but will reset test if you have a problem. I woould take this class again it is to easy.

Take his online class. Gives you three weeks to take one test a write one paper. Both of which can be done in an hour or two.

I took his online class and it was a breeze. He grades fairly and the work load was not to bad. I have not taken English 1101 yet and still made straight A's on my papers. Grades where posted in a timely manner as well. Got back with me pretty fast when I had an issue. Take him, he's a good teacher.

This was a very easy class. Follow the sylubus and you should have no problem. He responds to e-mail. I took this class in eight weeks online. If you do the required reading, take test and do the essays you should excell.

I took this class over the summer. The subject in itself is very interesting, however the professor grades papers with NO feedback and does not respond to emails....and in my class he posted the grades after the class was over. I would not reccomend this teacher unless you like independence...because he will give you plenty!!!

Fairly easy class. 4 quizzes/4 tests/3 essays. Quizzes/tests are only 5 questions (multiple choice or true/false) with a 4hr time limit. Essays are only 850-1000 words. He wasn't very involved but he doesn't really need to be since it was online. But I had a good impression from him in the little we communicated.

As long as you do your work this is the professor to take. Sure he is slow on the grading process, but it is an easy A.

I took this class online, and it was very easy. Just make sure that you post on the discussion board each week and reply to other posts. 4 essays on each religion.

I just finished his online class for the spring term and made an A. Just make sure your essays are in MLA format with 3 references and minimum 600 words and your good, plus 5 tests which you have 4 hrs to complete. Yes, he was slow to grade at the end of the semester, but he lost his 26 y/o daughter. He could've had someone else grade but he didn't

this teacher was pretty easy if you did what he expected. all you had to do was take the quizzes and write the 4 essays and you were good.

Interesting class but boring sometimes so be sure to bring your laptop or some source of entertainment!!! test is usally in the order of the study guide and there is three papers due each time there is a test make sure to do a works cited page in MLA format

Very easy A. Mr. Starke is a very intersting man and very smart. Only had 3 assignments but they had a multiple choice test you do at home and 3 essays per assignment. The class can be boring at times but I would still recommend him.

Professor Stark's class was terrific! His passion for history is clear in his teaching. There are only three tests which are multiple choice and open-book. Also, there are only nine papers! He's a little slow on grading. He is interested in answering any questions and has a lot of knowedlge on history. Definently recommend!

Very easy. 3 take home tests. No final. Boring class unless you lik Hum. Get yor essays edited by someone in the library though if your not a good writer. And not to be rude but try not to look in his mouth if you have a weak stomach.

He is the kindest man and he is very helpful. He trails off of subject from time to time but he makes you interested in the subject.The homework is relatively easy, and its hard not to get an A in this class. You have to have your book because you do a lot of writing other than that be organized and have extra copies of your work just in case.

This was an 8 week hybrid course. The class was 3 hours long and boring, but easy class. He only gives you 5 tests and 5 essays. You have to visit 3 temples in order to pass the class, but it don't count. The only bad part is that he takes forever to grade your work. He is a very nice professor. I totally recommend. I got an A.

Professor Stark is an easy going professor. He is very helpful if you need help. Try to build a relationship with him and he will look ut for your grade. 3 take hometests and essys. Easy A

He is a really cool guy. Really eager to answer any question you could think of and yeah he likes to talk but I wouldn't consider it boring if you just engage in the conversation. People complaining about his work are ridiculously lazy its all take home and only three due dates the whole semester. I learned more than I thought I would from him.

Professor Stark was a pretty ok professor. Class was really easy as all you had to do was take notes on a video. Plus you only have three take-home tests for assignments. He did nag about you not being late sometimes but that's about the extent he would go. Other than that I'd reccommend him.

This professor was awesome! Such a kind man who is passionate about his subject. He does tend to get off subject.. but all in all I will be taking another class with him!

He's cool.Yes he talks a lot,but we didn't have to take notes,or take any test/quizzes.Four papers due (easy).Only negative is the last paper he doesn't give back to you,he grades it after the semester has ended so you don't know the grade.BUT... he explained that whatever grades where on the other papers, probably expect the same. I made an A.

I took Professor Starke for Fall 2014 for his Zombie based class. It was the most intriguing and fun class I have ever had. All we did was watch a new zombie movie every day and he had snacks in the back. 3 essays, super easy topics. He's also so sweet and reminds me of the nerdy uncle. He talks A LOT but he's very interesting. I would suggest him.

He gives 3 take home tests throughout the semester, each test has four parts. You must complete all parts of these tests to pass the class, failure to do so, will result in failing the class. His lectures are really long and boring, he always drifts off topic. Class feels like a waste of time. If you miss more than 2 classes it'll effect your grade

Professor Stark's class is really interesting especially if you love history! This course doesn't require much busy work except 3 take home tests. In Class, we just watch American Visions videos and took notes on the videos and listen to him lecture. I would recommend other students to take this course especially since it is a easy A!

This was by far my favorite class ever. This class was the "zombie" class where we met once a week for 3 hours and literally watched movies pertaining to zombies. Not joking. So if you love zombies, take his zombie class. You wont be disappointed. And there was only 3 papers we had to due also. He even provided popcorn and candy.

Stark's class is painfully easy, this is true. But the guy is a schmuck you watch videos all day of a British guy talking about America. Oh and he rants and rants about how millennials are lazy and unmotivated. 3 test,3essays,3 art analysis, 3 biographies(both are 2 para each) you will pass if you do them all.

I learned a lot about different religions. Class was easy 5 essays, 5 test (online) at home, very easy. 3 mandatory visits to different churches. Give extra credit. His lectures are very informative. Will take him again. Loved this class.

Professor Stark class was interesting. You have to attend every class, if you miss a day he will allow you to make it up. 5 quizzes 5 summaries and a research paper. His lectures are long. Ask questions and he will clarify what he wants done. Especially for his research paper. He is very passionate about his job and the class. Do the extra credit

I have taken Prof. Stark for several classes and I have enjoyed each one! Not alot of homework, but he makes his expectations for the assignments known in no uncertain terms! He is very lecture heavy, but they are always fun and interesting! Plus, his HUM2020 Sci-Fi and Zombies in film and literature classes are FAMOUS around campus!

Mr. Stark isn't bad at all. We only had 3 test which took him awhile to give back. The last test he kept because we turned it in on the last day of the semester. He does talk a lot but you can understand it & it helps you. The textbook is needed because he asks test question based on pages. Come to class get your attendance grade & you will pass.

The lectures are very interesting and draw you in, so they are not a bore. As long as you put in effort in the work you are doing, and show an interest, you will most likely get an A. He loves questions, and group discussions are fun. The papers are not graded heavily by the MLA format and he gives you choices on how to format your paragraphs.

Prof. Stark is a really good teacher. This is my second time taking him for Humanities. He's really good at what he teaches. Come to class watch the Zombie films and interact with him at the end. You do have homework but its not hard at all. I would recommend him to any student that has to take Humanities. He's awesome!!!

Prof. Stark is amazing. This is my second time taking him for HUM. I took the zombies film class. It was very interesting. He's not hard at all 5 quizzes with 5-6 questions and the final paper that was due at the end of the semester. Other than that he's a really good teacher I would recommend him to anyone!

Prof. Stark is a really good teacher. I've taken him many times and this time I took him for a world religious class. He's not a complicated teacher. He lets you know what he wants from you. He's not good with responding to his emails but overall he's a good teacher. He does have long lectures but there all good lectures to listen to & learn from.

He talks a lot. Even after the clock says its time to go, hell still be talking. But overall, His class is and easy A. I take world Religion with him, we had five major test and five esays and 3 small papers on religions visit that we had to make either online or live. The test were all taken at home open book.
