makes the subject matter interesting and will pull out what you will actually experience and use in the "real world". hands down one of my favorite professors at AACC.

Paul is the best teacher/mentor I've ever had. In the classroom, he is passionate and knowledgable about the subject. Out of the classroom, he will take time to address any issue you bring to him with open arms. Hands down- amazing professor as well as a great person.

Paul Vinette is my all time favorite profressor.He makes the class alot of fun. He is very encouraging and inspirous you do your best. I highly recommand you taking him. Iam hopinh to get in one of his classes next semester.

Professor Vinette is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He keeps his class very well grounded and doesn't try to just present you with information, but actually makes sure you understand it. He also has a very real world view of things, having been a social worker for a great many years before becoming a teacher. I really enjoyed having class with him and hope everyone else does as well.

Classes become conversations, not lectures. Though service learning may get annoying, he's right in that it WILL look great on resumes. And come on, who doesn't like a teacher who is a sarcastic wise a$$? My only caution would be for students who are particularly right wing and conservative...Vinette is hardcore liberal and shares his views.

Outstanding professor, overall. Not afraid to speak his mind, though the way he speaks about politics makes it seems as though he assumes everyone in the class is a hard-core Democrat. Other than that, he's an excellent educator.

He's a lot of fun. He incoporates modern news and television shows (Daily show and Family Guy). The class is just a lot of fun, and if I was going to be here another year I would definitely take another of his classes/

Good teacher. He taught with a good amount og knowledge and a great deal of personal interest in the subject. My only issue was when he strayed to related topics (such as specific illnesses when we discussed llness being a social problem), he often was misinformed on the subject and, thus, so were we.

mr vinette was and is the man. made class fun to learn and easy to digest. video clips from family guy, dave chapelle, to catch a predator, etc. hes a rugby player, like me, so he's automatically cool in my book. he also has a lot of real life stories to relate to class material. I DEFINITELY reccommend him for the class or any others he teaches

Funny guy. I can obviously tell that his passion is frug addictions and counseling. The class was kindof boring, but doable.

This man is amazing! You have a presentation, mid-term, and final and then you are done! He makes sociology interesting with family guy and other random topics. The class is pretty much common sense and I really don't see how someone could not get an A if they just showed up and payed attention.

Paul is great! He couldn' t have done a better job teaching this class. He put humor into learning. We talked a lot about real life and not just what the text book says! He is great for study guides before the midterm and final! I would sign up for another one of his classes any time!

Overall, great guy. Very knowledgeable in this field. Also, up on current events and worldly. Incorporates current events, news, television into lecture, so not just using the material in the books. Sociology personally is common sense, so pretty difficult to get anything other than an A.

This guy is great. I personally HATED sociology, but he makes it fun and interesting. He is really easy; he only gives 3 grades in almost all of his classes (I’ve taken two now) I would recommend him to everyone! His class is relaxed and almost always gets out early! He does request that you attend- but that’s easy because he is so fascinating.

If you are at all interested in drug abuse this is the guy for you. He is hilarious and informative. We originally had three grades but he decided to drop one. He has had real life experience and great stories. Tests are easy, just like the class. Take this teacher!!!!!

He is a really easy teacher but you have to make sure you attend class and you need to make sure that you do good on the 3 assignments because those are all the grades you have for the class.

Professor Vinette is an awesome teacher! I looked forward to going to his class. He is really funny and down to earth. He knows a lot about Sociology and applies what we learn to the real world. EXTREMELY interesting teacher. Makes you want to come to class. He knows what he's talking about and makes sure you do too. He does only give out 3 grades, (midterm, project, final) but all are very easy and he goes over all the info directly from the tests beforehand. If you don't take this teacher, you're absolutely crazy!

Paul Vinette is the best teacher I've ever had. He has a unique way of teaching that makes learning fun and sociology interesting. ive had him for 4 classes. all A's. easiest teacher you anask for and if you actually participate in class and make aware of who you are he will def work with you to get the grade you need. his classes kept me in college

took all the classes he offers. make sure you don't miss class more than three times or you fail, but you wouldn't want to anyway. gives you answers to the midterm and final, only bad part is community service and if you give him a good excuse, he'll let you off that too.

I took 2 classes with him, my favorite teacher ever! Then I transfered and declared a major in sociology thanks to Vinette. I soon realized he didn't help at all, didn't teach anything about sociology, but I still credit him for helping me choose my major. Class is pretty interesting- just don't transfer and think you know all about sociology.

Mr. Vinette was an excellent teacher and professional. His unique teaching style made material easy to remember. His sense of humor brought an extra special dynamic to the room. SOC 124 was one of my last classes at AACC and I'll have to say it was the best. I will always remember Mr. Vinette with a smile.

Took soc111...and can't wait to take social problems. This professor is AMAZING as well as totally hott. Although I wasn't looking forward to the speech at the end of the year, I ended up getting an A on it and now I am more confident with giving speeches. This professor is the best that I have ever had! He really loves what he does!!

This is my favorite teacher this semester. His class was so interesting and eye opening. He is very clear what he expects from you. Make sure you do not open your cell or talk during lectures. He considers this expremely rude and unprofessional. I highly recommend this professor.

I took mr. Vinette for Personal Safety Issues. This was by far the best teacher i have had this semester. He makes class extremelly interesting for everyone although you can only miss 3 classes, you will not want to miss any because they are interesting. I would reccommend Mr. Vinette 100%

Vinette is awesome!! I've taken all of his classes & they're all great! Substance Abuse was a really fun, easy class; i learned a lot of random drug facts. 2 tests and a speech are a breeze.

AWESOME PROFESSOR!!!! Definitely take him! The class is very fun. My class was so large that he didn't make us do a speech but instead we got in groups of 10 and had to write a 24 page paper. Which is only 2 pages for each person. That is the only assignment in the class. The tests are easy and the material is so interesting too!

Prof Vinette is such an awesome teacher. Definitely an easy A. Substance Abuse was so interesting and not at all boring. He's hysterical. Gives you the answers to the Midterm and Final. He cares more about the way you are dressed then the actual speech you give so look good! His impersonations are hysterical. Such a great elective to fill a sched.

Vinette is an amazing instructor! He keeps you focused and handles awkward topics really well. His study guide sessions are very useful and you literally have to try to fail your exams. I highly recommend him.

Well, the class is easy, but i can't say that i learned much more than i already knew. He rambles on a lot and has a BILLION little anecdotes. And we watched youtube and "Intervention" episodes for most of the class. Also, everything he says in the study guide is EXACTLY what's on the tests. I got an A but the class was too easy :/

He was one of the best professors that i had all year had his class for only 6 weeks wish it would have been longer. I will deffinately take another class that he teaches again. I learned alot from his class even though the class had alot of terms to know, he made the class fun.

This was one of the most fun and interesting classes I have ever taken. Each definition was backed up with an anecdote that helped me remember what it meant. The tests were easy because of his study guide sessions and he made the material interesting. He was very engaging and kept the interest level high.

Prof. Vinette was an extremely professional teacher when I had him 2nd session Summer 2009. While he does discuss his personal life in class at times, it is minimal and in context of what he is teaching. He is one of the best teachers I have had. Majority of grade was based upon tests and final paper. Attendance required.

Just took his winter class-- super easy. He is extremely helpful, funny, keeps things interesting and truly cares about his student's well being. I highly recommend you taking his class. The only negative thing I can say about him, is that he will steer off track at times-- But his stories are never a dull moment! A++ :)

I took Substance Abuse in America. It was the best class I've taken so far at AACC. Mr. Vinette is by far the best instructor I've had. The presentation at the end of term was extremely easy. The tests were multiple choice and not difficult at all. He knows his stuff regarding the topic. And he is extremely funny and easy-going.

Also took Psych 111 with him. By far the best teacher I've ever had. He relates to the students so well. Given the chance I would take any other class with him. He is truly a PROFESSOR and actually teaches. Knowledgeable and intelligent. Class before each test he goes over every question. No doubt one of the campus' best, if not THE best.

Prof. Vinnette is very nice and very entertaining. You'll never find yourself dreading his class because he makes discussions very ineresting. We watched a lot of movies like intervention. He gives you a review before every test so if you do that you'll get an A.

I took Sociology in the summer. Vinette is cool. He is kind-hearted and respected everyone in our class. He also is hilariously funny and made us laugh our butts off. Nearly everyone participated in our class, thanks to his great energy. I love the ways he discussed society in terms of Sociology. Take him, he will inspire you. One of the best!

SIGN UP FOR THIS PROFESSOR! I didn't have any interest in this subject before his class. He made the class very interesting and fun. There is one speech later in the semester, but its really easy!! Not many grades other than midterm, final, and speech. Very easy A. Uses videos and note taking in class rather than the textbook. Awesome class!

A very good teacher. He knew the material and kept the class interesting. That being said, I don't know if it was just the course or him but after about halfway through the semester things kind of slowed down and he didn't seem to be as interested. Overall a good teacher though.

Take this class! Professor Vinette is a very smart an the lectures are fun. You take two tests and he basically gives you the answers in the study guide. You also have to do one speech on whatever you want. If you show up for the review, you will get an A in the class.

This is the second class I have taken with Professor Vinette. He makes the course fun, because of this the material is better stored into memory. The only person working against you in your classes with him is yourself. I have recommend him to many of my friends.

I have to be honest. HE IS AN AMAZING TEACHER! He will not sit there and work you to death but rather focus on actually teaching you the material. I walked away from his PSYCH course remembering more than 70% of applicable knowledge. He knows his stuff and instead of wasting your time he teaches you in a very clear and distinct manner. Vinette is a very amusing and enjoyable teacher. No homework for Soc 111, and his study guide sessions are very in depth and cover literally every single thing on the tests.
