Wehr is a really bad prof. He teaches psychobabble not psychology, His jokes are really lame and inappropriate. Even people on FB are talking about his jokes; just Google him. You are expected to memorize useless charts for exams. I didn't learn a thing after passing this course. In my 3rd year at UBC and Wehr is the worst prof I've had so far.

He's really chill and fair. He knows what he's talking about and is willing to help.

Charming and easy-going. Often receives playful messages from students. He gives many examples and explain things well. His section has the heaviest course load and hardest tests amongst all. Attend lectures, do the readings and make good notes. Lots of memorizing work. You NEED to UNDERSTAND the material to get high marks. Overall I like it a lot.

Doctor Wehr is a great evolutionary psychologist who, beside research, has served a critical advising role in the psychology department as well as contributed to The Men's Rights Club of UBC. He is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable. My afterclass discussions with this Prof and his evolutionary views deepened my passion for the MRA movement

I took this class awhile back (around 2014) and he was literally the best prof I ever had at UBC. I really hope he comes back to UBC. Although I took it for fun as credit, he's lectures inspired me to major in psychology. Most friendly, clear, and perfect prof ever. He remembered my name among hundreds of people which was pretty cool.

Wouldn't take again

I took this class a while back as a business major. He does not use the textbook. If you want to pass, you just have to memorize his shallow lecture notes. He is somewhat arrogant and also he makes the course difficult by including a lot of evopsyc content completely irrelevant to this introductory psyc class. Complete waste of money and time.

He was rarely available to answer questions outside of class hours, and did not answer emails. His powerpoints were useless and unclear. He is not very intelligent and doesn't understand statistics. I borrowed a stats text from the library and taught myself, otherwise I wouldn't have passed. Such an unhelpful lecturer.

Unclear grading criteria and absolutely no leniency. Tests are 15 minutes in length for 2 essay questions and expects you to be incredibly articulate and detailed. He's one of those 2+24 not 3+14
