Paula is infinitely patient and expresses herself clearly. I can actually understand math class for the first time since...never. Highly reccommended!

Paula is the best Math teacher EVER!!! I look forward to going to her class. She makes it fun to understand and she also has a great sence of humor. She will take time to make sure everyone understands, and she is patient. There are daily quizes and homework so go to class and do your work and you will do fine. I highly recomend her class!!!

Paula is great, she never outwardly showed frustration when I dropped by her office (which was almost every day). Homework is a little light which make the student responsible for doing extra problems if they are not confident in the material.

She is a very sweet teacher and always willing to have you drop by for help. However when asking questions in class she seemed rushed and I felt as if she didn't care to answer them. Her teaching style did not work for me but she is wonderful otherwise. Homework is due every class and her grading is okay, a little harsh.

Paula was a great teacher! She made everything very clear and gives you plenty of time for homework. She is very helpful and easy to talk to. Just do your part and study study study for the tests. Attendance is mandatory. She doesn't use any math book so don't waste your money. She has all notes and homework posted on her website.

Paula is a great teacher! I've had a lot of trouble w/ math in the past but w/ her notes & her methods of teaching I actually found Pre-Calc to be really easy. She's very helpful and students from other Pre-Calc classes often attend her review days for tests. She tells you EXACTLY what questions to study on the reviews which helps a ton! =)

Her lectures are fast. You have to take notes quick, but she posts her notes on her website so you can get them later. LOTS of mandatory homework that you have to do correctly, big part of grade. And you have to come to class to turn it in. No late work No exceptions. She gives study guides for each test and tells you which questions to focus on :)

She was totally awesome, you could go to her during her office hours and she would spend 10 minutes to 2 hours helping you and it made a difference.

Great teacher. The material is difficult and she goes fast, but if you pay attention and study the study guides, getting an A is simple.

Mrs. Farrenkopf is the best math teacher you will ever have. She's fast but she explains everything right. Go to class and do the homework and you're all good. I failed 096 twice before I took her class. I passed with an A.

she is a great teacher. this class and math 123 are boring/frustrating because more time is spent learning elementary math than learning how to teach it, but that isn't her fault at all.

Paula is extremely helpful. She takes the time to explain things step by step and makes it easy to remember. She gives you a study guide for tests so there are no suprises. As long as you keep up with the homework and come to class, you will not have any trouble passing this course! I recommend her to everyone!

I think she is and exceptional teacher! She goes 100MPH but just ask questions if you get lost. She is really nice and more than willing to help her students. The material in class, hw and study guide match the tests and her class is very structured.

Paula is amazing! Hated Math and was never any good until I took her class. She gives you all of the tools you need to pass and more chances than you will ever deserve. Any kind of question or problem she is more than happy to help you out.

So far she is the only teacher that has made math understandable. If I could I would take her for every math class I need. She is patient and understanding, helpful and yet she doesn't put up with anyone's disrespect. She always slowed down when asked and she always went over questions until i understood completely. I had Paula for Math 95, 96 and 120. After having her for math 95 I liked her so much I decided I did not want another math teacher. She is extremely helpful!! I was always a student who struggled in Math and she is very clear and very helpful. Wonderful teacher, wonderful class! Take her!!!

I took her mini session math class for Math 126 and she was an amazing teacher. I had previously taken math 126 w/a different teacher and received a D and after taking math 126 with Paula I got an A! She's really great at explaining problems, just be sure to attend class everyday otherwise you will miss a lot. And I didn't buy the book, just MML.

She is the best math teacher i have had so far. She is so helpful and sweet. She does take roll everyday, so make sure you plan to attend most classes. Her tests are not hard and her study guides help a lot, so if you do them you will do well on the test. Honestly, you should take her class.

Paula is the kind of professor you wish all professors were like. She explains things in a way that is easy to follow and is so willing to help you if you need it. Her study guides are nearly identical to the tests and there isn't a huge hw load (MML and worksheets). I recommend her to everyone who needs to take a math class that she teaches!

Paula is the best teacher I have had a TMCC. She explains everything step by step. She has open office hours and is extremely helpful. She will derive new formulas instead of just telling you and not explaining. I would nominate her for teacher of the year, that is how un-stressful she has made my life this semester.

paula is one of the best math professors iv'e ever had, she is clear and very helpful. only minor drawback is she writes fast, so keeping up is a little difficult sometimes. ask lots of questions! usually it's the same one everyone else in the room is thinking but is too shy to ask about. take paula if you struggle with math!

Paula is very respectful and helpful. Classes are mainly lectures but questions are readily clarified. Be prepared to hand-write all your notes. Paula has her notes available online. Worksheets, mymathlab assignments, and exams are the only assignments that you do and that are graded. You have to purchase mymathlab for this class. Great class!

She pretty much just copies her notes on the elmo as she reads them and explains them. She uploads them online and they're easy to follow, but lecture is really dry.

breaks things down step by step, so if you struggle with math she makes grasping concepts easier. she does not give out a lot of work which made my semester easier and gave me more time for other classes. i would highly recommend taking math 127 with her

She's a really nice lady! I learned a lot in her course, as long as you attend you're guaranteed good test scores. Very recommended!

Very well thought out math class. I got an A, but that was only because I studied for a few hours before tests. Tests were not that bad. But you must study. She was a great teacher and presented everything very clear. Not the best math teacher I have had, but very good.

Absolutely wonderful professor! IF YOU ARE A VISUAL LEARNER, TAKE HER CLASS. She is very clear about what she wants and the study guides always math exactly what the tests are on. She is never vague with instruction and is always there to give you extra help if you need it. Highly recommend her for any math classes.

She goes through lessons fairly quickly so if you aren't so good at math don't hesitate to ask her to slow down. She does a great job at explaining ways to solve the problems.. I definitely suggest Paula!

Paula says "kinda deal" so many times a class that some classmates and I started a tally. She's a great teacher, however, making it explicitly clean that she is there for her students and wants to help them succeed, even going as far as offing a guaranteed seat in one of her 096/126 mini-scission classes for the following semester. Great lady!

Paula is a great teacher. Class is clear and if you have confusion she is there to help. Class is take notes and then do the homework. Take good notes and you will pass. If you pay attention, take good notes, and seek help if you need it, there is no way you fail unless you don't show up. Showing up is a must if you want to pass. Overall take her!!

She makes sure you get the material. Make sure to ask questions when you are confused, she won't judge and the other students won't either because most likely they have the same question. OFFICE HOURS! Take advantage of them. She is there to help you. Uses the material for actual use and real life scenarios. Always a reason for the work you do.

Overall she was a great teacher and I really did learn the math I needed for the next class which was Math 126. Really tough on the grading but does teach you what you did wrong. I saw her happy all the time which was a plus. Would recommend for new math students.

Paula is an overall great math teacher. If you want to actually learn pre calc she's the one for you!! There are 3 exams and then a cumulative final. For homework, there is mymathlab assignments plus hard copy worksheets. Kind of a lot of work, but you can do it and you'll most likely pass the class if you attend class and do the assignments. :-)

prof. farrenkopf is one of the best math teachers ive ever had. she explains every concept thoroughly and is always happy to answer questions if you dont understand something. between in-class exercises and homework, theres plenty of practice to ensure you will do well on the test. attendance isnt mandatory but you may struggle just going off notes

Professor Farrenkopf is an excellent teacher. Her notes and class lectures are amazing. She gives excellent feedback. Her exam reviews are excellent. If you know the material on the review, you will pass her exam with no problem. Her notes are on line as well. She is a creative teacher who shares her expertise in teaching with the students.

I have taken Paula for three different classes. She explains the material in an easily understandable way. She gives lots of notes, but if you dont write them, she uploads them to her webpage and you can get them. The homework uses difficult problems, however the test are using easy numbers. She tests for comprehension, not calculator mastery.

The class is mainly note taking but the projects are fun and take you back to elementary projects. The tests are straightforward and there are extra credit questions on every test. She is an amazing teacher.

Paula is one of the best possible teachers that you can take. All of her lessons thoroughly explain the content which is not that difficult to begin with; however, she makes it even easier. The tests are ultra easy. You get a study guide with all of the questions on it beforehand, so there is no reason to get less than an A on any test. Very easy!

Paula is one of the best math professors! All she wants to do is help you learn math, she only gives out 7 work sheets . The work sheets help prepare you for the tests. And the tests are not that hard as long as you go over the study guide, its like a copy of the test. Just put some effort in it and youll do great!

PAULA IS A PHENOMINAL INSTRUCTOR! I hated math with a passion before but her courses are VERY straight forward. Lots of note taking and if not then they are available online. Paula is a fantastic teacher. Writes a quote on the board everyday just for fun. 2 homework assignment's due a week but not too many questions. 3 tests and an essay. All of it is pretty easy if you show up and take notes - but not required since she uploads them online after every lecture. Study guides are just like the test.

Great instructor. Very kind. Very thorough in how she teaches. Clear notes that she puts on her website after class. A good amount of lecture, test, homework, and projects. It didn't feel like we did too much of any type of assignment. Teaches about other aspects of math, not just the requirements for the course.

Took Paula for both MATH122 and MATH123. She was amazing both times. She's fast-paced, but not unreasonably so, and she puts her in-class notes on her website after class. Notes are very clear. Homework take 30 minutes - 1 hour if you take your time. Tests are bulky and tough, but they are not unfair and the study guides are a 1:1 of the tests.

Paula is an amazing professor who 100% cares about your success. She is willing to go over anything twice and her class is very engaging. Her class is very easy if you show up. She goes over a practice exam before the exam where you can ask any and all questions you may have. I never understood math before having Paula.
