Horrible teacher. She sends you all over Manhattan and makes you waste your money on her short projects. Gives you a lengthy final on the book, which you never discuss in class. Grades harshly for a bull**** class.

She is the vaguest person I've met in Life!! Yet, when it is time to turn a project in, she gives you a bad grade for not following "her" directions. When she asks you to come to her for HELP, all she does is yell at you and tells you that you didn't try and you waited until the last minute to the assignment.
Assigns way too much work and is too strict for what should be a very enjoyable class. Words of advice: If you see Lazrus on your courses for next semester, SWITCH IMMEDIATELY. Worst Class of my life. Makes me want to jump out of a 27th story window. Have a pleasant day :)
I hear about all these easy DNY classes and then there is Lazrus' class. Ridiculous amount of work. All of her essays are ridiculously subjective. DNY is supposed to be a fun class, I think my DNY average is actualy alot lower then my chem average.
Thank god I got out of this class, she asks way too much work and it isn't even honors even though she does teach honors. Extremely boring and useless.
I be hearing mad people talk about "DNY" thats a easy A, buh trust me if you get Lazrus dont be looking for nothing easy, plus on top of that you bust yo ass do the work she still wanna be a hard grader, lemme just say im pulling off a crazy GPA with chem, bio and calculus and the only class that be stressing me is DNY

She is so hard. If you want to work hard for an A pick this class. However A is not impossible and when you do well she recognises and the class is enjoyable. If you like challenges, GO FOR IT!! If you are a lazy person....RUN!!
Definately an example of St John's Worstt. Forget St JOhn's, she gotta be the worst professor ever. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!!
Lazrus does in fact ask for a lot of work. She takes the class serious, and encourages trips to museums etc. If you really want to learn about the history of NYC, take her. If youre looking for an easy A, forget it. She does grade hard and is strict with following rules. She is nice though, just dont piss her off.
Shes the worst grader. Weekly readings that you must keep up with. Lot of in class discussion. No in class tests/midterm but there is a final. Grades are dependant on the 2 essays, a photo essay(you have to go outta your way to take a lot of pictures in the city), group presentation, and final- which she lets you bring in a paper full of notes for.
Its not that she's a bad person...she's not, she's a real sweet person, but she is SO vague. Every project i did for her, i had no idea what she wanted. She loves those who participate, so if you're the shy type, dont even think abt it- it takes a lot off your grade
She really isnt that bad. The class requires a lot of work, but if you put the effort, you'll be fine. Class participation is a must. She teaches you a lot about the city's history, and the final exam was muchh easier than expected.
took her for emergence of global society. She really made the class fun because you do a group project role-playing game. if you work hard you will enjoy it and get a good grade. not especially easy, but you learn a lot.
Her class is difficult but you learn, its hard to get an A but possible.

If you are a good student you will do fine in her class. She's pretty straight forward; do your readings, understand them, come to class, and participate. I didn't like her at first, but got an A, and realized so long as you participate, she likes you as a student. So Participate! NYC's History is actually interesting, and the role playing is fun.
Very unrealistic!! She seems to think her class is the only class you have or at least the most important. If you want to learn about history, don't think this class. Her role playing games will confuse you with what is factual and what is not. Avoid her like the plague!!
The worst teacher in St. Johns. She will make you read 500 pages in a week than make you read 100 pages the next so definitly do not take her class.
She is not fun and very demanding. Role playing is only fun if you it was the only class you had, however we all have other classes and lives to live. Do NOT take this class. You will regret it!! She try to make you read 1000 pages and if you miss one class, she freaks.
Simply the worst teacher I have ever come across. She made this class extremely dull and tedious. It couldve been a much better course, instead she made it completely horrible. Ridiculous amounts of work for an elementary course.
If you want to do a lot of work and a 100 readings, then she is the teacher for you. She is a little intimidating, and freaks out if you ever miss a class. Expects way too much for a DNY class... sucks the fun out of everything
she was tough but in the way that was beneficial for us in the end. her way of teaching allows her students to experience historical debates (such as Darwinism v. the Church) first hand. there were lots of reading to do...but all in all it was worth it. we learned along the way. we only had one test and did about 4 papers.
freshmen students beware!!
Way too much work for a class that should be fun, enjoyable and introducing freshmen to New York. None of the above occurs in this class. It is a history class with four papers, a final project, and a weird as all get out "game" that no one understands. Do not take this class if you do not plan to do exactly what she tells you to do. You will fail!
Way too much work. I don't mind a little hw, but having to read 90 pages of info and 40 of rules for a game is a bit much. And as for that game, I don't think I've ever hated an inanimate object as much as I did this piece of *rubbish*. I have a meter of how stressed she is each day by her hair; the farther out it is, the worse she is. Drop her!
Too much work for no reason....
too much work for a stupid intro class
She requires a lot of work for a class that is supposed to be fun. She requires a group project on a neighborhood, a photo essay, and tons of papers. She also makes the class play this game based on American History. Each person is assigned a role and you actually HAVE to play it out. If you dont, she'll give you an attitude about it. she's a &*@#%
creepy lady who likes to talk about useless stuff. worse teacher ever. you have to memorize rules for a stupid game, build weird things, and have to do 100+ pages of reading. just...run.
As a basic world history class, I felt this was very doable. She employs role playing games which involve extra work, but unlike most people claim, they are not impossible. She's patient and understanding. Though sometimes class expectations were a little unclear, I did enjoy this class.
world history with this teacher is the worst class in the world...worse than a philosophy class with a terrible teacher. she doesnt tell you what she wants and then beats on you for not doing what she didnt tell you to do. if you get her class prepare to look at powerpoints all day and do stupid projects that only make sense to her.
alot of projects, more then any other dny class i heard from my friends. alot of online crap which u have to do and also a whole bunch of reading
She is the worst professor EVER! If you get her at the beginning of a semester...DROP HER!!! It will save you much grief!! TRUST ME!!!
She is very nice and supportive. Knows her stuff and gets very into it. The reading was much but reasonable. There was only a final but it was easy and the papers were easy also.
well she relied too much on the students to actually come to an 8am class everyday which made the class hell since we were all put in groups. so basically workload was doubled and nothing was learned. all in all this class is way stressful for a 1000 level class. i wouldnt recommend anyone taking this class
She is a fairly good teacher. She lectures a lot about the history of New York and most of it is actually pretty interesting. A lot of your grade is participation and if you participate a lot, you cannot get below a B in this class no matter what you do.
RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN, stay away if u take her this subject will run ur semester. she gives way to much work and she needs to relax cuz her subject really isnt that serious
HORRRRIBLLLEEEEEEEE AND EXTREMEMLY HARD. DON'T DO IT TO YOURSELF.
I had her for Honors Discover New York. Let me tell you I did more work for this class than my Honors Chemistry Class. She makes you come to class harrasses you if you dont. Nice lady but will yell at you if you are on facebook (she can see through the computer screen :) ) She makes you go to Manhattan everyweek.
RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN!!!!!! She's absolutely terrible. She will definitely screw over your GPA if you have her. She takes DNY way too seriously and I did more work for this class than I did for chemistry. There are much better professors. She makes you visit at least 3 museums and take all the tours plus 4 papers. JUST RUN!
out of all my classes, this is the class that i had the most work. for such an unimportant class, she shouldnt be giving us this much work. she gives daily harangues and does not respect students' opinions at all.
Her DNY class is a lot of work!! You have to read documents and write about them online. On the plus there are no tests and if u show interest and u try in her class you'll be okay. Try and attend the trips. She's really not that bad!

This professor is an apocalyptic. History is my favorite subject but the kind of discussions she prefer are more abysmal and not significant. Stay away!!!! You'll thank me later.
This professor is an apocalyptic. History is my favorite subject but the kind of discussions she prefer are more abysmal and not significant. Stay away!!!! You'll thank me later.
She is horrible. DNY is not an important course and she makes it seem like its the greatest class ever. It's the history of NY and how different cultures that settled here have changed our society over time. -_____- Nobody cares. She gives an excessive amount of work, more than any other DNY class and grades hard. Avoid having her if you can. There
I got an A, but it was not easy. I agree that this seems stressful for a core class. 3 papers, 1 test, online site to post on and 2 role playing games. These games weren't impossible, but you had to put in a lot of work. You need the textbooks for a good grade. Overall, I didn't like the class, but I did my work. Avoid unless you want a challenge.
STAY AWAY!!!!!! Treats dny as the most important class in the world. Excessive workload for useless class. She'll destroy your gpa and free time.
annoying and can't ever stick to one topic. she doesnt make anything clear
even though i got an A in this class, I should still warn you: SHE'S HAAAAAAAAAAAARD!!!! it was so. much. work. and you can barely finish the final exam. I think it was a miracle that i got an A
awful get out asap !!!!!!
Don't take. just don't. She has to have everything her way - try to add your own opinions or analysis during discussions, she shoots you down. In the beginning she seemed really nice.. DON'T BE FOOLED. Assignments are time consuming and shes a harsh grader. May be a nice person (when she feels like it), but she's a horrible professor.
stay away from this professor! it's required in her class to do online work outside of class ALL the time! VERY time consuming and unnecessary. projects are easy but you have to travel a lot for them. She treats DNY as if it's the only class we take. no tests. take her if you want no life!
Do NOT take her class. It's not even that she's difficult--she's just extremely unfair, inconsistent, and arbitrary. In short, just avoid the class altogether.
I read these comments and thought that she couldn't possibly be that bad. Boy was I wrong. She is intimidating and is a horrible teacher. Transfer out IMMEDIATELY. If you can't here's how to POSSIBLY get an A-:follow ALL of her directions, make sure your historical info is correct, participate 20 times every class, write a lot online. Good luck
She is a nice lady and the class is not a lot of work. The problem is that she is such a hard grader on projects! If you dont follow even one of her super vague directions, she will lower your grade by ALOT. Only 1-2 people in her class get A's every year. I got straight A's in all my other classes and a B+ in this..TRANSFER!
Reading the textbook helps you understand what's going on better, but know what she says in the lectures is what will be on the tests. Also, my class was half online, so you had to go to class and do online work in order to get a good grade. Not a hard grader, got As on work. Provides extra credit opportunities. Straightforward in what she wants.
I thought that she was a good teacher can be annoying at times but very helpful and nice teacher is a harsh grader but i gote highest grades in class so i had no complaints
She makes a class that should boost your GPA into something that you actually have to put just as much, if not more, effort as you would in your core classes. I thought it wouldn't be THAT bad but i was completely wrong. She is a rough grader, if you're looking to have an easy time in DNY I strongly suggest that you DO NOT take her class
I saw all these comments and I tried so hard switching out of the class..but since it was too late, I had to take her. But I realized she actually isn't bad. Show interest (even if it's the stupidest thing) and she'll love you for it. Observe a lot. your grade depends on your essays. Put A LOT of observations into your essays.
WARNING: DO NOT TAKE HER!!! The subject is not complicated, however, the way she teaches the course is more as an advance course rather than an introductory. Very arrogant and unclear. Does not seem interested in helping her students or giving them the time of day. AVOID HER AT ALL COST!!!
Save yourself and just don't take her. She's nice sometimes, but then other times she's just crazy. This is a college course, but we're doing a character role playing game that you would do in elementary school, it's absolutely ridiculous.
She's an ok prof. but, she is hard to understand and is not interesting at all. its not an easy grade. she could have made her class easy by just going straight from the textbook but she adds in things like role playing grades(which she takes quite seriously) , doing class discussions online, & going to boring science related school events.
Honestly.. if you listen to her talk and if you incorporate it in your papers/online discussions you should receive at least a B. Not the easiest class, effort is definitely required.
Not clear, very unhelpful and makes it harder than it needs to be. Schedules too many out of class requirements/trips. She's nice and all, and certainly passionate about science, but that doesn't help at all. Lenient enough grader though, if you put in minimal effort and show even the most minute interest can guarantee a B.
Don't even waste your time enrolling her class. She makes you do stupid games that, in my opinion, serve no purpose to the class. They are frustrating, and she can catch an attitude with you! My personal advice, just don't enroll in this class, you will regret it.
She is a horrible professor. Don't have her class. I'm warning you.. If you take her class, you have to do all those stupid role-playing games, which are not really related to the class.
Did not choose her, got her without choice for my first semester DNY. She made the only class I thought would be fun my first semester, into a total nightmare. So many field trips, and not fun New York discovering ones. She always has an attitude with the students. Stupid role playing non relevant games, and forces you to map trees for ASL.
THE MOST HORRIBLE PROFESSOR. I thought Discover New York was going to be the best lecture.. I was completely wrong. She's so rude and the projects she assigns have no relevance to class whatsoever. She's unclear about all her directions. She's the absolute worst. DO NOT TAKE HER.
She is a horrible teacher who is rude to students who ask questions. I only have her class once a week and this is by far my most stressful class i've ever had. She gives out work that has NOTHING to do w what we are learning. The final project is hard only because she doesn't tell you what to do when you ask for help she just watches you fail!
Definitely one of the hardest classes I took last semester. If you want a good grade, participate and do all the extra credit. You have to do this "game" that is really boring and extremely tedious. No tests, but a lot of assignments.
She is RUDE! & hard grader do NOT TAKE HER
She doesn't know who anyone is. She thought I didn't attend any of the trips or participated in anything at all and she was flat out wrong. Tough grader and extremely boring. Don't take her.
Honestly she is a horrible teacher. She gets angry if you ask her questions, she isn't funny even though she may try to be. She does not make the class fun or engaging which I think is a necessity for a teacher teaching a freshman class. For ASL (Academic Service Learning) you'll have to measure trees for an hour +, it's horrid. STAY AWAY !!
She states it herself in her syllabus THIS IS NOT AN EASY CLASS!!! If you told me back in September this is what Id have to bear with, I probably wouldnt have taken it, but as of now, Im happy that I took it, learned a lot of things. But it really isnt an easy class, even though it is a core class; very heavy workload & gave me anxiety.
She was very confusing and hard to understand. I wouldn't suggest taking this class unless you have a real interest in Geology because otherwise you will get confused and fall behind. No one in the class is ever aware of due dates or even what she is talking about in the class. I would not take her again.
If you're stuck in her class, raise your hand whenever you can, even if your answer is wrong, TAKE NOTES this will be your saving grace for the tests! You have to attend at least 2 learning community events, so she offers extra credit for writing a meaningful reflection on the events (you can submit as many reflection as there are events).
If you ever see her name on your schedule, just calmly walk down to your advisor and switch. She makes you do ROLE PLAYING for an Enlightenment themed game and for an India game. She's a cool person but as a professor, she makes you feel so dumb. You ask questions and you get attitude. NOT EASY AT ALL!!! SYLLABUS IS HEAVY AF.
When it comes to office hours she'll help you. It's harder to ask questions in class though... She has an attitude when you do that. Hardest A I've ever worked for. I had to do this role playing game that was supposed to be fun and interesting when really it was HARD! DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!!
Horrible. DO NOT TAKE.
Had her for DNY, St. John's version of a freshman seminar course.. something that is supposed to be an easy A. HOWEVER, Prof Lazrus gave copious amounts of homework, unrealistic expectations, made us measure trees for our Service Activity, and our field trips to the city consisted of walking tours with her talking about the history, tested on it to
If, for some reason, Satan curses you with her class, run straight to your advisor. She's so mean to students, to the point of being borderline abusive. She humiliates you in front of everybody if you ask a question. She's condescending, hateful, sarcastic, and just overall a mean person. Save yourself from her wrath and do not take her class.
So i read the other reviews and people mentioning this role play game.... all i can say is don't take the class. It was so hard and complex, she also makes you go on trips, do blog posting and this stupid sunlight experiment on top of tests quizzes and class participation...
Worst professor I have ever took. I dropped out of the class, as I couldn't improve my grade from a C. Trips on saturday morning at 7:30 AM, which means no partying or hanging out on Friday Night. Miss a trip, and you get an F. She is very rude and condescending. She has a role play game that takes half of semester and takes so much time off you.
LISTEN HERE, IF YOU WANT TO FAILLLLLL TAKE HER! SHES HORRIBLE. DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF, she runs her class with plenty of online work. you def need to take notes & keep up with blog posting. she's honestly full of it. Just don't take her class honestly.
If you show up to class, take notes and pay attention you will pass. Professor Lazrus does take her job as a professor very seriously and expects you to know the information that she is teaching. If you're in her sci inquiry course a lot of it is common environmental knowledge that she would rather you. She's not that hard if you put in the effort.
Ok so this is the worst professor I've ever had. If I could curse on this website i would call her a much worse name than a cotton headed ninny muggins. If you ask a simple question she will try to embarrass you in front of everyone and she is honestly just a nasty human being. extremely confusing homework assignments and poor organization of hw.
kissing up won't work, ur going to fail anyways. i tried and even sat in the front to and pretended i care. i worked harder in this class then organic chem. not only is she a bad teacher, but she truly is a horrible human being. This isn't even biased because i got a B in her class, she really is a nasty, cranky, horrible human.
Worst prof. ever. do not take her course unless u want f. very disrespectful to students, no sign of emotions. She yells if u ask a question, but she wants us to participate. she does unnecessary things like the game project. I regret that I switched to her class. :(
Not the most friendly professor on campus. She barely acknowledges her students or shows any respect towards them however if you are well versed in the general topic of the class, she might show some ounce of respect towards you. very unclear on the instructions and grading criteria. The class is lecture heavy and has lots of reading/homework.
Knows what's she's talking about and is passionate, but she can seem very stuck up. When you ask questions, she makes you feel stupid. Yet she talks so fast, you really don't understand the lecture without questions. Lots of extra in class and out of class assignments, a lot of things to handle if you're taking 18 credits. I've learned a bit though
She's not as bad as everyone makes her out to be. With that being said, she is not very clear in her grading instructions and can be a bit rude/belittle you when you ask her a question. The role playing games are a bit much and her tests are absolute hell. On the other hand she is very passionate about what she does!
Literally the WORST teacher ever, she is so rude. Don't even ask her anything youll feel like a complete idiot.
She gives way to many projects on top of one another and wants things done VERY specifically. She also is very rude and she gave me a 0 on an in class project that I couldn't attend due to my grandfathers funeral and i offered to makeup extra credit and she wouldn't let me.
Avoid professor if possible. She get mad if you choose not to participate. When students ask her questions she yell at them if they don't understand. Also gives boring project in free time.
She is by far not the nicest person out there. Attendance isn't mandatory but it really is because she will just give you zeros on everything. There are a lot of annoying projects. We also had projects and things that didn't relate to class. DO not take her class.
This was an interesting class. First off the professor incorporated a role-playing game near the end of the semester which involved a lot of reading, essays, and group work. One of the DNY trips involved students having to pick up trash near the pier which the professor never specified. If you take this class be ready to participate!
Obsolutly terrible person. Cant talk to her without her about anything without her giving an attitude she treats the class like garbage. Extremely nasty for no reason. If you have the class drop it and her class is pointless as well.
Prof Lazrus's comments can be very harsh. Any little thing bothers her like sitting in the last row of her class. She get frustrated when you ask a question and she has to repeat herself. Her patience is a bit low. She forgets that we are adults as well. Her work isn't hard but its extra for a elective. She is caring but her personality is strong.
She is rude to her students and frankly doesn't care. For one quiz the highest score was a 56 and she didn't let us retake or think this was her fault at all. Her grading rubric is terribly confusing and doesn't give you clear instructions. Big 4 week project that requires a lot of work. DO NOT TAKE HER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
Most rude and impatient educator I've ever had. Often she's not clear on how she wants things done and will blame you if something goes wrong. Also very condescending and hates to be asked questions. If you do take her class, be ready to participate and never make her repeat herself, but I would advise you to switch out ASAP.
She is literally.. the worst professor I've ever had? She doesn't explain things clearly and she has super short temper. If you even ask her a simple question, she'll get mad saying that she has repeated what she said or if you have been ever listening in the first place. (High-key snarky attitude). If you get her for your DNY class, step out.
Honestly shes a sweet lady and she truly cares about the subjects but shes not the best teacher. Her explanations are terrible and students are always confused in breakout rooms. Shes also scary when you ask her questions and gives so many papers. I worked on 4 things at once which was not the vibe especially during a pandemic.
This class may not be the most exciting class you've ever taken and the teacher might not always be the most patient... but there's a lot on teacher's plates so sometimes we need to take that into consideration. If you do the work and you are respectful in class you will do fine!
If you get her for HON1000C, transfer out. She made me hate my first semester of college as a freshman because of her unclear instructions, temper, and no attempt to actually answer students' questions. At the peak of the pandemic, she told us to go outside and collect pictures of the specific plants she wanted. Good luck
Professor Lazrus is a very tough grader and is very vague when it comes to commenting on your assignments. In her class, you never know exactly how to fix your mistakes... because she wont tell you. I wouldnt take her class again.
Her canvas documents are definitely disorganized. There's one page on canvas where she dumps everything and it's confusing to navigate. I often ask "What does this have to do with geography?" many times. Such as with her "games", which are very confusing. There were just very bizarre things we had to do in that class. Transfer out if you can.
Easily the worst class Ive ever taken. She has a terrible temper and attitude. You have to do a play in class, measure trees around campus, and go on useless trips on Saturdays. The only good thing was it fulfills the community service requirement and don't have to do it outside of the classroom. Way too much work for a DNY. SERIOUSLY DO NOT TAKE.
The course will jump around from geography, history, ecology, and even role playing. Nothing is consistent in her class even the grading system which proves to be difficult when trying to figure out what you did wrong on an assignment. The worst part would be when we went outside to collect data on trees for a total of 6 the semester.
Instructions are unclear, work is disorganized, things we talk about in class does not relate to the subject, and has little patience.
Gets frustrated when students ask questions or for her to repeat herself, condescending attitude, claims to outline work, but hardly gives direction to what she wants, and does time-consuming role-play projects which relies on speaking instead of giving exams on the material she taught. Material is the basic equivalent to high school earth science.
Assigns multiple things after one class making the class feel burdening and annoying; expects students to go on nature observations to look at the night sky and the sun rise, gives unclear instructions about already confusing website, ArcGIS, which is the site you need to use for final project, not considerate of students with multiple classes
Professor Lazrus makes a seemingly easy class like DNY, extremely hard. Not only is her canvas highly disorganized, she also has a passive agressive nature that makes participation among the class hesitant and uncomfortable. She does not care about her students well being and will disregard the grade reported on canvas to what she see's fit. AVIOD
Paula is a passive aggressive teacher that will make the material taught 10 times harder then it should be, she comes into the class expecting you to already know what she is talking about and gives you assignments she barely explains, getting mad at you when you ask her questions regarding the assignments given. If you see her name, DROP THE CLASS
Lazrus is caring and really passionate about her teaching. She can be blunt but is a supportive professor. Lots of hands on activities.
She had a terrible attitude and handled questions poorly, especially when she had to repeat herself. She was a tough grader and gave unhelpful feedback in return. The trips you go on feel unnecessary. Take a different dny, i was not once motivated to attend this class.
Please DO NOT take this professor; she gets mad when you ask questions and does not like repeating herself. Her trips could be better; she has no sense of where she is going in the first place; her lectures consist of long videos and going over discussion questions. If you do not answer questions, she gets mad for no reason.
Very DISORGANIZED. Her lectures are all over the place. She will just talk and expect us to know all of the information. Has an ATTITUDE, gets mad very quickly. She takes the Saturday trips way too seriously, and grades papers the same way. DON'T take her unless you want a very easy class, to be hard and annoying.
I can see where the bad reviews come from but she just really likes what she does so it can be seen as blunt! she loves it when you participate. Assigned work is very easy and she is an easy grader. Just show up to class participate you'll be fine :)
Lazrus has a specific teaching style, but engaging with it can pay off. The lectures are straightforward, and attending is a must. Use tools like unstuckstudy alongside the textbook to stay on top of the material.
If you can switch professor for fys I advise you to switch. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get an A no matter what you do or how you write your paper she always has an issue on how you write it. I spoke to many of my classmates and they all said they did poor on the papers. If you can avoid or switch the class I strongly recommend it.
She is very rude has an attitude is passive agressive and is very difficult to deal with even when I show her the utmost respect.
. She is extremely unhelpful and very rude with a passive aggressive attitude even when shown respect. Professor lazrus is VERY difficult to deal with and her assignments are confusing. Her attitude is very poor and gets angry very easy. Do your best to avoid her courses
Dont expect anything above a B if you arent Shakespeare himself. She takes her students on extremely complicated and exhausting trips throughout the city, overloads them with information, and then expects them to write a perfect reflection combining everything she teaches during her 3 hour lecture and 3 hour trip through the city. AVOID AT ALL COST
Professor Lazrus is rude and disrespectful to students. She gives unfair grades and doesn't really explain why she thinks you deserved a certain grade. She also makes sarcastic remarks when you try to genuinely ask a question, she has a short temper and is always in a bad mood.
She was very rude to all the students, avoid her immediately
Poor professor. The class consists of very little assignments and it is difficult to get an A. Her instructions and grading is extremely unclear. She expects you to know everything about anthropology even if it is an intro class. She provides little feedback and gives rude remarks when contributing to the class or asking a question. Avoid her.
Took her for a social science elective credit — DO NOT TAKE HER UNLESS YOU PLAN ON PASS/FAILING A CLASS, it's probably impossible to get an A on any of her assignments! She expects everyone to be extremely knowledgeable about anthropology despite it being an introductory-level class.
She makes you go on field trips and write a reflection, then grades so harsh on your own opinion. She wants you to write so detailed, it's almost unfair. And your final is a play that you MUST participate in to get a good grade(she does not give any A's), which is dragged on throughout the 2nd half of the semester.
