I never thought I'd like math but in her class I ended up understanding everything and liked it. Her teaching style is great and I look forward to her class in the fall 2004!

Her class was very interesting. Before I took her class, I didn't like math, now I really enjoy and most importantly, I understand it!!!

Excellent Teacher. Very Clear, Somewhat Funny. Very very Helpful in class and in her office. I think 2 or 3 people dropped the entire semester. Most of her grades are As and Bs becuase she actually teaches her material instead of just doing problems on a Board.

She is such a good teacher. Eve people who hate math will learn to love it when they get through with her class. She is great!!!1

I tried to take this class 3 times before her. She is the best math teacher ever! Lots of extra credit opportunities. Go to class, you get bonus points for not missing! Do the homework, I felt like I was in highschool again the way she teaches.

I think she is a great teacher and I would recomend her too anyone. She explains the material well and if you can come in for tutoring, she will stop what she is doing to help you. She does require class participation as a grade. She is very fair.

Mrs. McKenna was by far one of the best math teachers I ever had here at S.A.C. She made the material real easy to understand and was always willing to help her students with any problems they might have had. I would definetely take her again if I needed more math courses here again.

I took her in the summer. she explains it very well and helps you further if needed. she does assign alot of problems and puts the class up to the board, to see if you understand the material she has taught. Not for students who have a busy schedule or lazy. this class requires alot of time for all the homework assigned for the week.

Mrs. McKenna is a very good teacher. She is the only teacher that I've had here at SAC that really cares whether or not you understand the material. She shows that she really loves to teach.

Her web course couldn't be more straitforward. Not much is actually on the web, it's all dvd lectures and voluntary homework. 5 tests (fairly easy) and she's the only math teacher I've ever had who give PARTIAL Credit for incorrect problems...

I am an older student who took Math many years ago. Ms. McKenna is one of the best Math teachers I have ever had. She is very helpful and genuinely concerned whether her students learn the material. She assigns lots of HW, but it proved very helpful for me during testing. I highly recommend her.

You have to turn in homework for a grade and you are given quizzes usally a week before the test. She gives extra credit of 5 pts. per exam. The extra credit is completeing and turning in the chapter review section. There are a few things that she wants her way and not the book's way, which I found a little annoying. I will get an A+.

Professor McKenna is an excellent teacher. I took this as an internet class. She was always available for help. I would take another class she taught.

Prof Mckenna is the best. I never thought I could ever pass this class and I got a B. Its not easy an you have to put forth effort, and lots of homework, which is a great grade booster. Plus extra credit on the exams helped. Great Teacher, Take her to get a great understanding of Math!!!

Overall a good instructor, but wants work done her way, and very preciste about it. Be prepared for setting aside many hours of time to do each homework assignment. Only downside is that she teaches at a fast speed with few examples and wants you to teach yourself how to complete most of the homework.

Miss Mckenna was wonderful. She was always willing to help out on assignments that I was not clear on. It was bad if you missed a day but she was willing to help out. I took her for Math 301 and 302 and got A's in both. She always has great stories also. Just listen, pay attention and don't be rude. Not very hard for us mature students!!!!!!!

She is a great teacher.She gives alot of homework out but if you do it in the end it helps you. i worked hard and paid attention and got and A+.

She is a great professor, she is knowledgable about the subject and explains concepts well. there is a lot of homework and it's graded and it provides practice for exams, so do the homework, do the reviews, and you'll be in good shape. I would take her for PreCalculus if it was required for me. well-deserved A.

Prof. McKenna is the best math teacher I have ever had. *NOTE* She does give A LOT of homework, BUT in the end it all pays off 'cause you learn the material. I worked my booty off during the week and the weekends were mine, so I don't agree with the person that said that if you take her you won't have a life, it's called time management! I got an A

I would highly recommend taking Mrs.McKennna if you actually want to learn. If youre just trying to get by then dont. She has alot of homework but in the end it is well worth it. I have taken her for two differentmath classes and if I needed another math I would take her again!!!!

Professor McKenna is an outstanding math teacher, she gives very clear instructions and excellent examples on the board. Yes, she gives alot of homework. In the end it really helps you keep on track, which I needed. If you aren't serious about learning, take someone else. I would definately take her again.

MCKENNA IS AWESOME, I SHOULD KNOW IVE TAKEN HER FOR TWO DIFFERENT COURSES. IF YOU DONT LIKE HOMEWORK DONT TAKE HER BECAUSE YOU GET LOTS BUT IN THE END WITH HER ON THE BOARD WORK AND THE HOMEWORK IT IS WELL WORTH IT BECAUSE YOU LEARN ALOT WHILE HAVING FUN BECAUSE SHE HAS A GREAT PERSONALITY. OVERALL SHE IS VERY UNDERSTANDABLE AND I RECOMMEND HER.

McKenna is a nice prof with a cool personality and she knows her stuff. However, that only goes so far with someone who can't easily grasp math concepts, like me. I even went to her office for help but I still have to retake the course. This course goes way too fast. We were flipping the script daily and I couldn't keep up. Get a private tutor!!

Amazing teacher. Really explains thoroughly. Helps students when they do not understand. Gives hw sections every day but aren't long. Notes every day. Sometimes will have students work on board. Though it seems like it's alot of work, it really isn't! I would definitely take her again. Excellent teacher!

I love this professor!! she gives step by step directions and makes it really easy for you to understand!! she may give alot of homework but if you do it there is no doubt you will pass every exam! VERY GOOD professor!

Ms. mckenna is a great math teacher. She teaches and you learn and she makes sure you do. You have reviews that are extra credit plus in class participation before tests to prep you. Shes awesome!! and if you can get passed the mass amount of homework you will be fine. Not hard at all you wont regret taking her.

This is the best math Professor at SAC. I should know I have taken almost all of them and could never pass and ended up taking 0301 three times before I passed. first time taking her class and made an A. Take her!!

Professor Mc Kenna is incredibly patient, especially with those who are struggling in class. Yes, we did have quite a few problems for homework, but it's graded on completion, not correct answers. All in all, her class was an easy A for those who put in a moderate amount of effort. Definitely taking her again!

She is amazing! I refuse to take another math class unless she teaches it. She has a good pace so everyone can keep up and is has a very easily method to her teaching. She show the easiest and most effective way to solve problems LOVE HER!!!

Best teacher ever! Alot of homework but she gives you on average about a week to do it and each day goes over any problems the class had. This was the first math class i had and was so glad it wasnt a bad experience!

Current student in flex class. She is awesome. You think she gives a lot of homework in a regular 16 week coarse, try a flex! She explains things thoroughly! She wants you to not only pass, but learn. If you're not afraid of hard work and want to learn, she's awesome!(even though my hand is permanently cramped now!):)

She is a great math teacher, she is interested in what she teaches and tries to get everyone interested. She has assigned seating, if you don't like that. She does grade homework and is very thorough, but her tests are not hard and she does reviews for everyone up at the board, which is VERY helpful. I highly reccomend her if you dont like math.

McKenna is AMAZING! I wish she was teaching 1414. She works with you and makes sure everyone understands. She is always available to help anyone!! She knows her stuff and truly cares about her students. She wants you to pass!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I took her for a maymester and there is a lot of homework, but she makes sure you know everything and get it right, she's very helpful and sweet i would definitely take her again.

Professor McKenna is really good at explaining the new material. Homework is a must in class though and they seem ENDLESS so if you know you don't do hwk, DONT TAKE HER or you'll fail. Besides the 10000 question hwks, she's fine; she's a really nice lady and likes doing what she does.

Professor Mckenna is EXTREMELY HELPFUL! I would should of taken her for all of my math classes. Homework is A MUST so if you're lazy DO NOT TAKE HER! I hated math with the passion, but now it's crystal clear. If I got an A+ in her course any one can pass, but I did bust my butt to get that A.

Amazing, once again!! This is my second math class with her because obviously she's great, she does give lots of HW but it is a tool to help you during the semester and it really helps. She explains problems thoroughly and you can always go to her office for help. Take her you won't regret it!!

This class if not for the weak, we started with 25 and ended with 10 students, she does give ALOT OF HOMEWORK but it's an extra tool to help you succeed. For each test she gave a review and if completed EC would be given. Overall great teacher, would recommend her for anyone! Would take her again but she isnt teaching Statistics.

I hate math but I absolutely love mrs Mckenna! she is one of the best teachers at SAC and is always willing to help you. She emails back very quickly and explains things so that even if you hate math and have a hard time understanding it, like myself, you can pass with at least a C. She has the best personality I highly recommend her class.

She is a FANTASTIC teacher. You do get a lot of hw but it really helps you learn the material. She will clarify anything you need including material from previous classes.The only downside is once you don't have her anymore you don't like other teachers because you got use to how clear and straight forward the material was.

HIGHLY recommend!Went from a C to an A+ student in math because she makes math super easy,is positive,and down to Earth!Homework is online,simple,and allows you to work at your own pace,but if there is something you are unsure about she will explain it in class until u get it.A textbook isnt required because the online program comes with an Ebook.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Attendance is MANDATORY in her class, & yes there's a lot of hmwk but what's good about that is that its for a grade so if you do the hmwk then you WILL do good on the tests. She gives extra credit for up to 5 pts. on every test including the final. I always slid by in math but i got an A in her class! I will def take her again!

She actually cares if you understand the material she is teaching. She will even reschedule homework and or tests to assure everyone is on the same page. She is great!

I Love her!she is so clean in the way she teaches,she will go through the process twice for you, step by step if you do not understand. She cares if you know the material, she wants to set you up for success. I took her for 1302/1303 flex math and i took her for Pre cal 1414. I wish i could take her for the rest of my math courses!<3

She's not easy and she gives a lot of homework, but she's the best math teacher I've had a SAC. She'll go through problems step by step on the board and gives reviews for every test.

This class was easy enough to keep up with if you know the material (I found the videos for each section to be more helpful). I maintained an easy A all the way until the final. Obviously you can't bring notes so you want to KNOW THE MATERIAL but its only 19 questions (worth 40% of final grade!?) and she DOESN'T help you prepare. Ended up with a C.

I've taken quite a few math classes at SAC, because I had to take remedials, and by far she was my favorite. Very clear teaching method, she will never leave a blank space somewhere and leave you wondering, is that a 0? Where did that come from? She explains EVERYTHING, making algebra way less stressful. If you have weak math skills, TAKE HER!

Goes a little fast but not too extreme. Works with you and answers any questions you may have after, during and before she teaches the lesson. She does have trouble getting here for 8am classes and won't let you know ahead of time if class is canceled. ALOT OF HOMEWORK!!!!!

Made sure everyone in class understood before going on. Test were somewhat hard. No calculators were allowed. Always willing to show you other ways to look at problems so you understood it better.

She is a great professor, loved her lectures and they helped me a lot! My math skills went up a lot! A looooot of homework but gives credit for it, plus extra credit before tests. Homework is online, which is great, that way you can practice as much as you can. But no calculators on the tests! But you can survive that.

Prof. Mc Kenna is wonderful! I took this class with the honors academy. The way she teaches is by writing down notes and explaining everything, and she uses a tool that saves the notes with the voice recording. It is A LOT better than it sounds! She answers questions along the way. She gives a break about half way through class. Work is online!

First thing is, her personality is the best!!! One of the most generous professors I have ever had. She does give a lot of homework, but since she explains the material specifically well, homework can be easy. Showing that she cares about her students and loves teaching makes not want to miss class.

I have never been one to be good at math. Her passion for the subject is infectious and I wish I had more interaction with her!!(took the class online). I even took the class over the summer and did not struggle to keep up. I adore this woman. She gave me back confidence in my ability to learn and actually teaches things you'll use in life.

I am so horrible at math and she takes the time to help her students succeed. She is the only professor I know who uses a smart pen to record her classes and they are all available online after class. I also have her developmental class and it just gives us an extra hour of learning. Totally worth it to those who need a little extra help.

I am not good at Math but she is amazing at explaining. She is sweet and was very welcoming and helped me understand what I was having trouble with.

I took Precal online for the 8 week course for spring and it was a pretty simple class however, it was fast pace. You do the assignments on MyMathLab without lectures or no help. You are completely on your own with nothing but the book or the help solve bottom. Each question she gives 5 attempts and on quizzes and test she gives you 2 attempts.

Professor McKenna was very caring and understanding. I've never been good at math and this is the first time in a long time I passed math with a high grade! I'm so thankful for having her as a teacher! She's a very amazing teacher I highly recommend!

First, let me say, I dislike math very much- Ok I hate it! But Professor McKenna was so organized how could you not understand any of the work? There were examples, explanations, and guides on the homework. You get 2 chances on the quizzes and unlimited on homework. She responds quickly, and she also gives extra credit, you just have to do it!

She is cool and just gives you the work to do. If you need help she has some lessons for you to look over. If you are a self-learner and able to figure it out by yourself this is the class for you. She is nice and friendly. There are no surprises and she is clear and sends reminders.

Amazing class that made math sooo much easier to learn and understand. She was great about breaking down questions and scanned in lecture notes so that you can review them later. There is a lot of work but there are plenty of opportunities to get 100% on assignments. As long as you keep up with the homework assignments and quizzes you will be fine!

I'm not a fan of math; however, Professor McKenna was so organized from day one. Sends reminders about upcoming assignments; gives students a week to finish before the next ones begin. Very lenient on attendance emails, I missed a few by a day. Will work out problems for you if you're struggling or even has videos on practice exams walkthroughs.

One of the easiest math classes I took, Professor McKenna explained the topics very well and clearly, and would keep reviewing and offer more practice when it came to something the class struggled with. She covers a lot of valuable information, so attendance is highly recommended.
