she is not good at explaining things and makes you feel stupid if you don't know what she is talking about, you end up teaching yourself. The only good thing about her is that she gives lots of extra credit opportunities-to make up for bad teaching.
She is the most horrible teach I've ever had.She doesn't explain well,she offends you all the time she gives hard homework and tests.The extra credit is exptremely hard andnot really related to what we study.If you want to pass tis class dont take her!
dont take this class if you dont know statistics or you are absent often. she gives a quiz at the beginning of every class so dont be late. HW is rediculous. she is a nice lady outside of class but that really doesnt count for anything.

I agree with most people. She is a horrible teacher. I got an A on the project and did well on her final and still got a D. She will not answer your H.W questions and wont tell you what will be on a test,she is always cranky and not very helpful.

Professor Lee is a good guys, and funny sometimes. However, he is not good at preper students for tests and learning. His precalcus class actually is a review of the course. Therefore if you have no experince of precal don't take him.
Knows her stuff. Can be abrupt if you don't make an effort. I got an A by studying a lot and keeping up with the homework. I flunked this class in high school. Thanks to Prof Peter, I am now headed to Calculus, and then Physics.
the exams are take home but it is really hard!! and if you get an A she may curve it down anyway. I did her extra credit but she did not count them at all. very pathetic..cant even teach.

I have never had a teacher worse than her. VERY VERY BAD. She knows Math, but she doesn't know how to share her knowledge. YIKES!! She gives Clarridge competition in the KOOKY, BAD, NEED-TO-RETIRE category. Don't take her class if you want to learn geometry.

Has an attitude when you ask questions of her that she's already answered once so be careful. Doesn't follow the books methods so you have to go to class or you'll fail her little show your work tests.

I was told how hard she was & not to take her, but I did & I'm glad. She will answer questions & gives her number so that you can call if you need help. You just have to make a connedtion with her & she loves her cats! Some tests are take home and group work is encouraged, so pick good partners. She is nice, with a dry sense of humor.
She is very quirky. Once you understand her methods she's pretty easy. I got an A and really learned from her. Don't be late to her class!!! A quiz is given every class. If you miss one class you will not understand that chapter. MAKE A BUDDY in the class and you can pass.
She's a little "rough around the edges" and a little intimidating, but get over it, she's a great teacher and wants students to succeed. She goes over HW questions in class so that you can do well on tests. I took Stats with Moassessi, got a D, and got an A with Ms. Peter. I learned A LOT and enjoyed the class. Pay attention, she doesn't bull.

Amazing! I am not a math person at all, but I got an A in her class. She is very helpful, especially if you come to her office hours.
I took her class for the winter and I dropped it because we had to know how to play cards in order to solve the problems. I think she really doesn't know how to teach. She knows the material, yet she doesn't know to teach it. I never rate professor badly even if they are, but Pauli Peter really inspired me to rate her.
She may seem intimidating at first, but once you get use to her, you will see that she is very smart . She is always willing to help, especially if you see her after class or in her office hours. I always had C's in math class, but I got an A from her. I went to her often for help.

She does not welcome students asking questions. The only thing good about this class is doing take-home tests, including the final.
Well...Don't take her if u have other choice...I go to class every time and hang in all my stuff got nearly an A in every test. I got a B at the end...pretty strict with the grade...whoo! I'm glad I finally finish this class...
It was nice to receive take home tests, but I couldn't wait for her classes to end. Her teaching style is of no interest to me. The class was dead. Nobody wanted to open their mouth to speak even though she really wanted class participation and I think that affects the grade very much in the end. Got all A's in tests ended with a B.
She can seem a bit intimidating and quirky, but if you make the effort to go to her for help, she will really go to great lengths to make sure you get it. As long as you show up, she will show up for you. By the end of the class, you will actually be able to apply stuff to real-life situations.

excellent teacher. didn't like her at first, but her teaching methods are actually quite useful. homework is challenging, but it prepares you well. exams are fairly easy when you read the book and do the homework. make use of a study group when you take her class.
To get on well in her class you must participate, which worked great for me. You must do homework to keep up with quizzes and tests. You must read textbook, all of it, and not in class otherwise you will be left with gaps that will freak you out in tests. Even though I received an A in her class, I'd bang my head on the wall after every agonizing class. She's more interested in her cats then making a connection with her students. She screams at you if you even open your book in class. It's supposed to be an exercise in free-thinking, but she conveys her teaching style like a drill sergeant. Avoid.
I dreaded coming to class everyday. A very bitter teacher. Even though she gave take-home tests half the time, they were beyond difficult. She has to make them that way for the Admin to allow to give take-homes. Quizzes every single day. Have to take REALLY good notes and study them everynight in order to ace the quizzes.

This teacher wants you to fail. More than half of my class withdrew and we tell everyone thinking of taking this class to avoid her at all costs. If you ask for help, she'll say, 'Work harder", then dismiss you. She yelled, belittled, and intimidated the entire class. Please do not even consider taking her.
I can't think of anything good about her to say because there isn't any. However I won't start saying the negative because I don?t think there is enough space. Try take the class and you might see what I mean.
She's definitely not the most enthusiastic of teachers out there, but she gets the job done. She's very clear and strict with her teaching (sometimes gives harsh replies to questions). If you get discouraged easily, don't take this class.

I enjoy working constantly for a class, but her multiple layer of biases make her impossible to please, communicate with, and to learn anything from. Her class was worth much less than doing self study and taking standardized tests. Ultimately, Pauli peter was a troublesome social problem herself, a problem that?s not worth solving. Next!
As far as actual work, the class has minimal homework. There are quizes at the beginning of every class but if you even cracked the book you can do well. She comes accross as harsh, but if you talk to her she really wants to help you if you show interest in the class.
She wears two different shoes. She's mean. She won't answer any of your questions. She'll make you feel stupid. It's impossible to get help from her because when you asks she basically calls you stupid. Don't take her, don't even think about it.
Doesn't use book at all teaches methods different from book assigns homework from book. Clearly stated her attitude affects our grade in test. Practically calls us stupid when we get answers wrong. Spends the whole class time teaching theorems instead of applying them. Had hard time doing homework because could not apply the formulas. DON'T TAKE!!
winter intersession class. she was horrible. taught weird. didn't explain things too clearly. she got mad when we asked questions. she even yelled once saying because we pack up early and are eager to leave that me fck up. yes she said we fcked up. shes mean and old and a grouch.

she has a weird sense of humor. she asks facetious questions on her tests as extra credit. her methods often differ from those used in the book. quizzes are generally reasonable, but tests occasionally have randomly impossible questions. at least there's extra credit... some tests are open-book/note. not a fantastic teacher, but i've had worse.
Winter Session09 Math 32 10:15-12:20;Here's my "No Bias, No Bull"on this professor. The "WORST" educator I've ever been taught under. Not for the faint hearted, she'll de-motivate you, her methods are useless, HW is always evens so you cant check the book whether your right or wrong! If your time is valuable, dont waste it, dont take her!!
Though the professor seems to know what she is talking about, she comes off as an extremely jaded individual not at all interested in her students. I would not recommend talking a math class from her as she has a terrible temperament, does not use textbook methods, and is notoriously rude to students.
This teacher is absolutely atrocious. I had a stellar transcript before I made the mistake of taking her class to meet my last math requirement. She used to ask our class to ask her questions before a test and then critique them and if they were too easy not answer them. Don't take her class!!!
I received a D in her class but that is not why I choose to complain about her methods. Peter is misanthropic, cattily rude, and yells at students for even the slightest distruption. On two occasions, I walked out of her class because I was disgusted by her insolent, childish behavior. She is not only mean-spirited but emotionally unstable.

This lady is insane! I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but she is CRAZY! She did a problem that needed the Pythagorean Theorem and when someone asked her for help, she told them that they should know it and wasn't going to go over it. gives a quiz EVERY day and will yell at you if you don't know the answer to a question!!!

I took her math class in the fall of 2009. She totally ruined my GPA! She expects you to know everything but it's kind of hard when she's not very good at teaching. She had a question on her test that said "what are the names of my 3 cats?".....Do yourself a favor and stay away from this teacher!

The teacher is horrible. Expects you to figure out the homework after teaching something completely different in class. The homework is graded and will give you F if you forget to use a ruler. The whole class is failing because of questions on the test like: "Name my 7 cats"!!!! I am serious about that question. Do not take her.

Hardest class in my life. The majority of the points are based off of homework and test. Homework and test are 30% each so take the seriously and she even lets us take home the tests. There are daily quizzes so go to class and pay attention. Quizzes are based off of the lesson from last class.

mrs. peter truly cares about her students and will always help a student who is willing, and truthfully, wants to prosper in math. She makes herself available to students and it is the students choice whether they seek her help or not. She gives quizes daily to help students reflect on what they need to work on. I used to love math and I was straight A student before her class, She is good but she will take away all your confidence and she wont take it easy on students. I love challenge but she is more than that. You are going to have Quiz every day and with only one misstake she will take away many points, how ever she give many extra credit.No Eassy A

Professor Peter is hard but if you talk to her she understands. As long as you work hard she will work with you. Work hard and earn a good grade. 3 tests 2 tests half take home. quiz every day and 7 homeworks. Be ready to work!
DON'T TAKE. She is very mean, doesn't teach well and thinks it's the students' fault when more than half the class fails an exam. There is a quiz everyday and a substantial amount of HW. And she yells when no one know the answer to her questions.
I'm not sure why other students don't like her. She is clear, encourages class participation (even gives out extra credit if you perform exceptionally well). She gives out so many extra credit for those who are not so great with math and if you're an A student in math like me, this class is a walk in the park.
