She's fantastic! Great lecturer and doesn't assign papers to intro. students. Multiple Choice tests only. Also teaches Abnormal Psyc. and Child Psyc. I absolutely recommend her!

I loved this class. I was nervous about taking it but she made it fun and intriguing with every lecture, even the stuff she openly admitted was boring. I recommend her for anyone who is interested in Psych or has to take Psych. I'm taking another class of hers in the fall :)

She's a great prof. Didn't start off wonderful in the class, but once you get involved in lecture, the class gets easier. Lectures are very entertaining. Wonderful teacher, made learning fun. Very down to earth and knows alot about her field.

She is knowledgable in this field HOWEVER she lets her students tell ridiculous personal stories and she easily gets off topic which leads to a lot of wasted time. Also she tends to be pretty one sided and if anything goes against her opinion it is automatically considered wrong. I really lost my patience with her by the end of the semester.

Wonderful teacher. If you had any questions, she was there to ask. I learned a lot in her class. Tests are a little hard but you just need to study. Overall I would recommend her.

She is a great teacher. By the book so to speak (90% text 10% up to date material). I was happy that I took her course. Her tests make sure you know the subject. This may be confusing to some, that use memorization over actual understanding the material at hand.

She's pretty cool.. Though I've noticed she does have a tendency to push her own personal opinions on the students. I happen to agree with her on most things, but still.. eh. Overall, I really enjoy her class. Thumbs up.

I took this class online and loved it. This was such a great class, there was so much class involvment. This format of an online class makes you want to do your homework. My favorite college professor by far! She is so concerned about how you are doing in the class and wants to make sure everyone understands the material. Listen to her lectures, and especially her examples. She is a psychologist, she has GREAT examples to help you remember important facts. PARTICIPATE in class, you will benefit no matter what!

This was my first semester of college (After many years being out of school) and I have to say that Professor Multhaupt is one of the most understanding professors at this school. If you attend class, take notes and study when necessary for exams you are going to pass. She is the best and I would definitely recommend her to all.Loved this class!

Took her Ab Normal Psychology class. She is really a great teacher and very fair in her grading. But, you do need to work in her class. You will learn in the long run.

Made PSYC enjoyable to learn. Do your homework, read the book and ask for help if you do not understand...she is more than willing to go the extra mile to help you get the concepts of psychology. Lectures can be boring at times...but she is very good looking, so you can even just stare and pretend that you are interested.

She made Abnormal Psych very interesting. Her teaching style is different from most PSYC professors, but she is very clear in her lectures. She knows what she is talking about, so take her if you want to learn.

Great class if you want to learn. The class is easy as long as you STUDY! You will read the text from front to back but if you do you will do well. This was an online 8wk class there was only discussion questions for each chapter, 2 assignments and the midterm & final. You must post something 5 of 7 days for attendance.

I had her for two classes (2750 and 2800) and I aced both of them by paying attention in class. I put minimal effort into each and did well. Didn't really need the book since only one or two concepts were grabbed from the book per test. Tests are multiple choice, and you get to look over the tests 20 minutes after taking it. Best Psych teacher.

By far my favorite teacher! She was so clear about the demands and even offered extra credit. She gave ample opportunity for you to raise your grade. Extremely informative and entertaining class, I changed my major afterwords! Take diligent notes and always read the chapters and you will get the grade you deserve.

I have had her for 2 classes, both 4 hours long, and will have her for at least 1 more. LOVE her teaching style. Take great notes (she tells you exactly what to write and gives you outlines for each chapter) skim the chapters and USE FLASHCARDS! I have never gotten below a 90% on any of her exams. The 4 hours fly by the classes are so interesting!

I may have gotten the section wrong... anyway, I took her last semester for Abnormal Psyc -- she told is it was her last time teaching it for awhile. All of what was on the test she gave to us on a study guide, and there was a research paper we had to do. Informative class, even though it got 'bleh' during the block. I learned quite a lot though!

I had a busy semester and didn't really have time to put into this class so I struggled, plus she even said it was the hardest psych class, but she does her job very well. She's thorough and helpful. Ask questions if you have them and read whatever she tells you is "on your own".

Mrs. Multhaupt is a charming, clever, and truly dedicated professor. Her course material is consistently relevant and useful, but her exams are never easy. Her poise in class is one of professionalism, but not in a static and concrete fashion. She relates very well to her students and shows great concern for their advancement. Highly recommended.

Best teacher I have ever had! She is amazing at her job, and so intelligent. I had her fall 2012 and have been dying to take another course with her. I studied like crazy, and got at least 100% on every exam, and they all included extra credit questions :) If you love psychology and are a hard worker definitely get in her class asap!

This is a hard class, the hardest I have taken so far in 2 years. I am happy with the teacher she is great but if you don't study your butt off then you will fail and even if you do you still might fail. Don't take this class as a blow off.

Love the teacher but don't love the class. If you want to take human sexuality do it on campus. She doesn't give you a study guide for the only 2 tests you have and if you don't read the book word for word and memorize it you will fail the tests. Luckily the homework is worth a good amount.

Awesome professor! Very interactive with students and wants you to succeed and do good. She is very helpful, her lectures are clear and she lets students know what is on test. Of course you must study and there is a lot covered, however, if you are serious with the class, you will do fine. Best professor I've had, definitely recommend!

This class was the most interesting class that I have taken so far. Professor Multhaupt present the material very well. You have to read some and take very good notes to do well in the class. The exams are not easy but if you focus on her review sheets and study the notes, you will do very well. Don't skip class at all costs!!!

Great teacher. Took her for brain ands behavior and abnormal psych. There is NO homework, only exams. Exams ARE tough but they are higher level psych classes so its to be expected. For brain and behavior she does drop your lowest exam and lets you do an essay to replace another low exam grade. NOT an easy A but you will definitely learn something.

This is one of the best classes I have taken at MCC. I was a bit intimidated prior to taking this class considering it's the highest level psych class, but Professor Multhaupt is nothing short of EXCELLENT! She really knows her stuff and knows how to present it well. Came out of this class with so much beneficial knowledge. You do need the book!

Absolutely loved her! Her lectures are amazing, she explains everything so nicely in which you understand the concept immediately! If you really pay attention to the lecture than you don't have to study that hard for the test. No homework and you do need text book as she has you look up more detailed items from lecture sometimes.

I've taken every class Professor Mulhaupt teaches and would take her again if it were a possibility. Her classes aren't easy As, but she's incredibly clear in her lectures and lets you know what will be on the exams. She's funny and relatable, but is also very professional and definitely knows her material. Every psych major should take her class.

PSYC 2750 is the "science-y-ist" psych class you'll most likely take. For the most part its just cut-and-dry structure and function of the brain and how it manifests as behavior. Multhaupt made it the greatest class I've ever taken, by far. I changed my major because she inspired me so much. Beyond informative and simply levels with her students.

Mrs. Multhaupt was by far the best teacher I ever had, in all of my life. She is not just an inspiration to students, but to women everywhere. I always refer to her as "wonder woman" when describing her to others. I'm not sure if there's a cell in her brain that she doesn't use! And she will encourage all of her students to do the same :)

I made Professor Multhaupt probably back in 2011 or 2012. At the time I was pursuing an undergrad in psychology and had her for "Brain & Behavior". This is an amazing professor. The classes are organized, compelling, engaging but all worth it. I can honestly owe my passion for mental health and psychology all to her lectures. Take a class with her!

I had her for my online Human Sexuality class (PSYC 2500) and she was an amazing prof. Everything was organized and spelled out for you in the syllabus. You did have to comment or participate 5 days out of the week but i was easy to do so. You absolutely need the book as you do read it cover to cover. The more effort you put in the better grade.

She requires you to do discussion questions and you have to post 5 out of the 7 days. In the discussion questions you have to thoroughly answer the questions or you won't get full points. Despite this, she gets things graded within a few days and tells you why you lost points. She seemed pretty nice so I would definitely recommend her.

Professor Mullhaupt was outstanding! Very easy class, directions were always clear. Grading was always fair. Overall a wonderful class to take. I would recommend her for anyone interested in Psychology at Macomb Community College.

She's amazing honestly. Definitely one of those teachers that give you clear instructions on how to pass her class and if you don't follow you're likely to fail. Brain and Behavior is so information packed so she made it easier by splitting up tests the way she did. Book definitely saved my life a couple times too.

Professor Multhaupt is THE BEST professor I've ever had after three years at Macomb. The material is tough, but she knows her stuff. Gives such great detail and answers all the questions she's receives to the best of her ability. She makes everything very clear. I wish that I was a psychology major just so that I could take more of her classes

I loved this class and Professor Multhaupt! The book was so interesting and I loved the homework assignments and papers. I cannot say enough about this class. Don't question, just take this class. I promise you'll love it. I am so sad it's sad it came to an end!

Amazing teacher. Her classes can be long, but she gives several 5-10 minute breaks per class. Explains everything thoroughly, and in detail. Test questions come STRAIGHT from lecture BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO READ THE BOOK (sometimes assigns sections from book to read on your own & questions will be on test about them). Offers EC opportunities also.

Tough material but she breaks it up into manageable sections. The class is all lectures and tests. Lectures are important to attend. She is very knowledgeable with the material. Would take her again.

Professor Multhaupt is by far my favorite professor at MCC! I looked forward to attending her class every Wednesday. The class was long due to it only being once a week, but we did get 3 breaks that lasted 10-12 min each. Be sure to take a lot of notes, because she makes her exams around what she talks about in class and from out of the book.

She is an amazing professor! The class was really hard, but she made it easier to understand. She really cares about her students and can be easily accessed outside of class. She gives great, relatable examples. She always begins class by asking about any good news. She's amazing, and I am taking another one of her classes next semester!

Best professor at Macomb. If you are serious about Psychology then in my opinion this class is mandatory. Her class forces you to do the work to get the grade but you will leave knowing the material and if that's important to you (it should be) then this is the class for you.

Not only the best professor I have had, but also the best class I have taken so far at MCC. This class changed my perspective on so many things in life, it is a real eye opener and everyone should take it if given the chance.

This class was fun! I would definitely choose her again if I were to take another psychology course. The tests are HARD! I would of gotten an A if they werent so difficult. She really makes you think and its not as simple as looking up the answer in the book. Take notes when you read (you will read the entire book) and you will do just fine !

Great lectures!!

This class is amazing! The professor is very passionate about what she is teaching which makes the class interesting. The material is extremely intriguing. There are 4 exams plus the final. She drops the lowest grade and gives review sheets. There is a research paper but it was surprisingly easy to complete. Very caring teacher. I 100% recommend.

I took her abnormal psych class and loved it! There isn't any homework given except for a research paper (rough draft and final) but you get to choose your own topic and it wasn't difficult. The rest of your grade is determined by tests, but she drops your lowest score. She is a very caring and knowledgeable professor and I learned a lot from her!

Prof Multhaupt was a great professor. She gives about 4 DQ assignments a week with a test/quiz also. You use the book for every assignment. None of the assignments are difficult, however, it is a little time consuming because you get attendance points for posting 5 times a week. If you give thorough answers you will have no problem getting an A.

Professor Multhaupt is my favorite professor I've encountered so far in my 50 or so credits. She hands out an outline at the start of the class then gives notes while going over the outline. She has great stories relating to the info we are learning. The class is difficult to start but it gets easier as you learn more parts of the brain. Recommend.

Great professor, absolutely loved this class it was so interesting. We had weekly discussions, 2 essays, a midterm, and a final. Overall as long as you do the reading and study the material you'll be fine. We read the book cover to cover so get ready to read! Fair grading and always understanding and able to make accommodations.

Multhaupt is my favorite professor! I took her abnormal psych AND brain and behavior classes! I have so much respect for her. She knows what she's talking about and is very passionate. Her classes have only made my love for psych grow. I wish she taught more classes, so I could take them! Don't hestiate to take her classes!

I have taken this professor twice, for Brain and Behavior and Human Sexuality (online). Powerpoint lectures, test heavy, and she teaches mostly by the book. However if there is something new in research or does not like the way the book explain things, she will give you the correct information. Very down to earth and open to questions.

Professor Multhaupt teaches by the book but I learned a lot during this class. She is very critical when it comes to the discussion posts, there is a lot of reading as everything you learn is in the book, the only complaint is the attendance according to her is logging in 5 days a week, but only gives you two discussion forms a week.

She is a good professor, her online class does require a lot of discussions posts. You have to read a lot. No lectures or study guides. Do the work and you will pass. The book is required.

Prof. Multhaupt is available for office hours twice a week and is always willing to help you with things you're confused on - if you reach out first. Otherwise, the class is all up to you. You read the chapters, answer discussion questions, and take an exam every 4 weeks. It's tough but worth it. The textbook is really great and easy to read.

Have taken her a couple times. One of my favorite professors for online. Great class if youre working full time, she doesnt throw a bunch of useless assignments at you. You read the book cover to cover- and use the information alongside critical thinking- but lite homework. Read the book and youll get an A.

Paulina Multhaupt is the best professor I have ever had! The class is difficult, and is based on your ability to read the material and answer the questions. Expectations are clearly laid out in the syllabus and she is always available to help in office hours. If you're a lazy student looking for an easy A, this class isn't for you. I learned a lot!

I really liked Professor Multhaupt and this class. I took a 16 week course with her. There were about 2-4 assignments a week from what I remember. You definitely need the book in order to complete your assignments. If you follow instructions and read and you'll have an A.

I took her for Neuropsychology, Brain and Behavior, Abnormal Psych, and Human Sexuality. She was the best professor I've had ever. She grades mainly off exams and papers, not a lot of homework. Her lectures are amazing and she is very knowledgeable about psychology. Very fair and loved going to her classes. Great extra credit opportunities too.

Straight-forward teacher and fairly easy class. Quite a bit of reading, but the textbook she uses is an easy read. Weekly discussions and mandatory 3x week attendance, but very few assignments and (non-proctored) tests. VERY clear on expectations and due dates, which is refreshing. Looking forward to having her again!

I took this class online, but i'd definitely take her in-person class given the chance.There is quite a bit of homework for this class, however, if you read the textbook and take notes the questions are fairly easy. I wouldn't say the tests are hard, but they definitely require you to really think about the material and apply what you know.

She was pretty great and I have nothing against her. Seems like she is a bit strict with spelling, but I didnt mind much. Discussion boards are open book and pretty simple. Yet, she still has a flaw that if she doesn't agree with what you think she lowers you score a bit. Feedback wasn't bad and made sense. Overall great class.

I found this professor's way of teaching incredible. She made a safe space for us to talk freely in. I was sad this class was over. We relied heavily on the book but you could easily skim it for the answers. This professor is all around amazing.

She was very responsive and had homework graded within 24 hours after the deadline. She also was descriptive in her responses.

Professor Multhaupt is truly exceptional! Her instructions are incredibly clear and concise, making discussions effortlessly engaging. Active participation throughout the week is essential for the course. I highly recommend enrolling in one of her classes.

She explains things very well. However, there is a lot of work. I had more work in this class than any other. A lot of it is very textbook heavy too. Despite there being a lot of work, it is relatively easy to do. Beware for spelling mistakes in the final and midterm. I caught a few of them and didn't know what the word she meant to spell was.

As long as you read the textbook chapters and answer the discussion questions using the citations from the textbook, this class is a breeze! There's 2-3 assignments each week but they can be completed in a couple hours. Professor Multhaupt is an amazing professor who is very knowledgeable in psychology. I highly recommend taking her class.

Overall a great Professor. The weekly do chapters range from 35-70 pages, it is content heavy. All exam questions are applied knowledge, you do need to read/understand everything. Grades DQs a little inconsistently. If you read & take notes- you'll be perfectly fine.

While the class is reading heavy, the assignments that went along were all pretty easy and every quiz and assignment is open note cause its online. If you mess up she explains what you got wrong well, and you can tell thru her mini lectures she uploads occasionally that she really does like what she teaches and cares. Easy if you do the work tbh.

No nonsense, fun, and truly wants you to learn. Goes out of her way to provide extra info, gives great feedback, makes this difficult topic accessible. Discussions are thought provoking. Tests can be a bit difficult so study and have materials on hand. You WILL learn a lot of good stuff from her!

The other people rating Prof Multhaupt obviously just wanted an easy class for an easy grade and didn't want to do the work. It's a college class, there's going to be reading and you're going to be challenged. Her guidelines are clear and she doesn't grade based on her opinion, she grades based on whether you follow directions. Highly recommend!

Engaging professor who cares about the material. Readings are important, but assignments/quizzes are manageable. Unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for test prep - would take again.

The homework wasn't hard, it just took a while to do. The quizzes though were a bit difficult. There were a lot of spelling mistakes so I could barely figure out what she was asking. Overall, I would recommend her.

The 5/5/25 rating must be a whiny student who was likely caught cheating. Prof Multhaupt doesn't focus on politics, she forces you to think differently about class topics(which may be political). She responded to my inquiries in a timely fashion, & expectations were clear from the beginning. Very satisfied w/ this authentic, selfless professor.
