She's extremely smart, extremely enthusastic, and loves her students dearly.

She is energetic and knowledgable about her field. She can captivate you for an entire class. She loves her students and wants only the best for them. EVERY ONE should take a class from her!

Her class was facintating! I was never bored in class and I learned so much. Dr. Nugent is probably the best teacher I have ever had.

Class is somewhat hard, but she makes it easier and has an awesome personality. She gives daily workbook assignments that help a lot in learning the material. She's so much fun, tests are not hard if you keep up with workbook and voabulary. Great Teacher!

Her clas is difficult, but its a nice challenge. Just like most other languages, it takes time to sit down and do the work, but the assignments really get you to understand what she is teching. Dr. Nugent is a hilarious Irish nun. She is extremely smart and very helpful. She really cares about her students, and she makes every effort to help with your grade. She lets the class decide what will be on the tests, and she doesn't give too many suprises.

Dr. Nugent is an amazing person. She has a sponge for a brain and seems to know everything. This class did involve a lot of reading, but with her explanations about the stories, it wasn't too bad. Everyone should experience one of her classes sometime before graduating.

I enjoyed Dr. Nugent's style of teaching and her personality. She will always make class fun and interesting. The tests can be pretty difficult, as well as the essays. Even though the classroom setting is pretty lighthearted overall, be prepared to work a decent amount on your own time. Class participation a must!

She was an amazing professor! You would never think that an Irish nun could be a good teacher but she was so cool!!! Class is easy and she makes it interesting. If she taught anything else other than Latin I would take her again!!! I didn't even want to miss her class because she makes it fun! I really enjoyed the class and her as a professor!

I had her for IDS & she is amazing! She's from Liverpool, England so she's very interesting. She's extremely enlightening. I loved being around her, she's someone to look up to. She's so helpful, not just in class (easy) but in everything. There are several essays, but she really wants you to be prepared for college. Take her if you can!

Pauline is simply amazing. There are no words to describe her, her teaching or her dedication to her work and her students. And by the way, she is not English. She is Irish.

Very accessible and helpful. Sometimes gets off on a tangent, but it's generally good fun anyways. And she's a nun. How cool is that? The best thing is that she likes her class to be more about the learning than the grading.

Dr. Nugent is one of the best at Missouri State. She's a 60+ year old nun who knows around 10 languages! She is a sweet, insanely intelligent, and helpful teacher. She makes everyone in the class participate, which really made me more alert. DO THE WORKBOOK and GO TO CLASS. I missed one day and felt very lost. Take her, and you'll learn a lot!

Dr Nugent was my favourite professor in the one semester I attended MSU. I adored her then and I still adore her!She is one of the rare professors who makes her students want to work hard and try their very best just to please her. She also cares so much that she encourages her former students to keep in touch after they have left. She is amazing!!

Best IDS 110 teacher you could ever ask for. All she was worried about was if you were getting by in your first months of school. We had to write a couple paragraph papers that were super easy, and we barely read the book at all. I felt like I had a real connection with Dr. Nugent by the end of the class, one of the most kind-hearted women ever.

Dr. Nugent is brilliant! I had her for both Latin and Mythology, and she knows everything. She is really helpful and honestly wants you to do well. While the tests require studying, she'll give you full credit for a creative answer, if you can't remember the answer. Careful though, she knows 12 languages and will slip into them. :)

Fascinating person. A nun, knows multiple languages, seems to be the smartest person I've met. Good sense of humor, though she will probably tease you. Sometimes scatterbrained, but it doesn't affect you much. Acts as if she's a tough grader, but in the end I got As with each assignment and test. Cares about how you are doing, great teacher!

If you EVER have the chance to take a class from this woman, do it. Doesn't matter what your major is. She has to be the most brilliant person I have ever met, and she LOVES her job. She will go through hell and brimstone to help any of her students, and her students love her. I've seen someone cry because they disappointed her. She's that good.

She has probably been the best professor I've had on campus. She can make any subject interesting and honestly cares about your well being. I learned a great deal from her and I highly recommend you take a class from her if you ever have the opportunity. Warning though, her tests are very detailed.

Took honors myth. Yeah, there are readings you have to do, but ultimately Nugent is a phenomenal teacher. She's an interesting woman and really cares about each individual student's well being and success in the class. She wants each person to enjoy the class. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

This woman is the bomb.com. If you have the chance to take her, do it. She comes off a little intimidating in the beginning because she wants you to know that you'll have to work. But the class, is not that difficult. And she's practically the greatest professor of all time. So take her. Seriously.

Took her for honors mythology last year and medical terminology this year. She is the best teacher. Just take her. She is a wealth of knowledge. Love this woman!

She is awesome! I had her for honors classical mythology. She does expect you to work hard, but she gives you everything you will need. Her lectures are extremely interesting and she is fun to talk to in general. If you need help with anything, she is more than willing to answer questions. Don't listen to people who say she's bad, take her class!

Very willing to work with you, and cares more about how much you learn than the curriculum. A very challenging language, but she helps a lot. I would definitely recommend her. You have to do the work in the textbook for comprehension.

One of the best professors I've ever had! She's hilarious and really cares about each student. She does call students out but I think it's mostly at the beginning at the semester to weed out the students who didn't care. The class is helpful, too- I actually benefit from it in everyday life. Absolutely loved her! She was passionate about the subject mater and kept me interested despite my ADHD. She expects ALOT out of you though. She will help if you ask for it (and you should ask) but requires you to really think and read everything she tells you. Its hard work but she is a fantastic professor. Definitely my favorite so far.

Dr. Nugent is most dynamic professor I've had at MSU. I took her for Medical Terminology and absolutely loved it. Not only did I score high, I actually got a firm grasp on the material. She is hilarious and she will "give" you points if you "argue with her" for them. Very concerned about you as a student and how she can help. Use office hours.

She was a very sweet lady who truly cared about her students. She knew what she was talking about and was willing to give you points back on tests if you went in to talk to her. I definitely recommend taking her!

Dr. Nugent is hands down the best professor I've had the pleasure of taking. Latin 101 is my first time learning any language and I passed with ease. Be sure the show up for every class and do your homework! Study your cases and practice your pronunciations and you'll do just fine. Be sure to stop by her office hours and say hi, brownie points.

The class may seem hard to certain students, but she gives back points if you talk to her about it. Very easy going and more than likely to help you if you ask and participate in class discussions. Study and do every last boring exercises in the book. It is the key for you to pass her tests and quizzes. All A's on 3 exams, no final for you

Great professor. If you want a good grade you must study outside of class and DO the workbook pages for practice. If you don't like the grade you received on a quiz, go talk to her and argue for a few points back. All the workbook lessons will reappear in the final exam and if you have an A then the final is optional.

My favorite professor hands down! It feels that she actually cares how you do in her class. You do need to study for the exams though. Use her office hours!!! I would take this professor again if I could!

While Medical Terminology is a class you definitely have to work for to get a good grade, Dr. Nugent is by far my favorite teacher on campus. She's always willing to help if you're willing to work. Bumps up grades on tests and quizzes if you visit her office hours and if you average a 90% on all tests you get a walk on the final.

Dr. Nugent is awesome. She goes out of her way to make students successful and you can tell that she loves her job. There is a lot of memorization and she makes you work for your grade. However, I seemed to gain a lot of knowledge from this class. Definitely recommend!

Loved it !! Work hard Do all the activities in the book, with a used book make sure to re-do them by yourself or you will go blank on the exam! Flash cards of main words+(re writing /or reading ALL definition) before the exam. Follow all of her instructions don't skip and you will finish it with a lot of knowledge to use it for other classes!

Loved this class and professor! Dr. Nugent was fantastic as a professor and cared about her students excelling in the class and in the real world of medicine. Make sure to do every workbook activity and listen strictly to all of her lectures because she will give hints on whats on the tests and quizzes. Flashcards and office hours are necessary

Great teachers and know's what she is talking about! If you do not do the workbook exercises, you will not pass the class! ALWAYS go into her office ours to go over quizzes and tests, you just may get points back!! Flashcards will be your best friend.

Awesome teacher that makes a rather dull subject interesting! She will call you out in class which is funny if it isn't you being called out. Very encouraging and clear on what to expect for tests. You get A you skip final.

SERIOUSLY MY FAVORITE PROFESSOR EVER! This woman goes above and beyond to help her students succeed. As long as you are ready to work hard in the beginning, the semester will go well. I recommend spending 20 minutes a day reviewing terms, but other than that, you do not have a lot to do. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about class!

Dr. Nugent is such an intelligent woman. She knows a million languages, which works well when she's trying to teach Latin and Greek at the same time to future healthcare professionals. She is passionate about the material as well as the students and you can tell she really cares. She is super funny and will call people out for not paying attention

Dr. Nugent is an extremely caring professor. She comes to class prepared, answers any and all questions you may have, and goes above and beyond explaining things. I missed a class and went to see her in her office and she gave the entire lecture to me while I was there, answering questions. Four quizzes and three tests make up your grade.

I have Dr. Nugent for LLT 121. Mythology is not something I understand very well but if you go to her office hours she is very helpful and knows you are actually trying to do well in her class and might even effect how she grades your projects.

Lots of homework and studying needed. Memorization is key here. She calls people out when they don't do their work and it's honestly a nice change of pace. I know people that have dropped because of that. Do your work and show up on time and she won't call you out. It's simple. She's a great teacher other than that but expect to do some studying

Shes a great teacher, but you might not like her at first. She will call you out if you are late, didnt do the reading, etc. But, she is hilarious and makes her lectures fun. If everyone doesnt do well on the test, she will add a little bit of extra points to the test. Her essays are more about how you write, and not about the subject.

So far has been my favorite teacher. She is picky about her quizzes and tests but gives good feedback so you know what she wants. I learned so much from her that I know I will use for my future career. She is funny and I never wanted to skip class (surprisingly) she lets you walk on the final if you ace all her tests, she will call u out so show up

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Nugent! She is caring, hilarious, and if you put in effort in her class and try to get to know her a bit, she truly will warm up to you and be your friend. Also, if you keep a good standing A in the class you get a pass on the final, so that is motivation enough to warm up to her and try hard in her class.

She's very animated and makes class less of a bore because of how weird she is. Don't be late to class she'll call you out. I've heard that she is very rude to people who aren't doing well in the class. Overall the tests and quizzes aren't too difficult. Don't buy the dictionary she recommends, I never used it once (Google works better).

I absolutely loved taking Classical Mythology with Pauline Nugent. She is super bubbly, knowledgeable, and fair. Be prepared to work hard for your grade. Definitely need to read the materials (very interesting books), take notes, and study hard in order to succeed. We wrote papers, took tests, and did group projects. Overall, great professor!

Dr Nugent is one of my favorite professors here. She is strict, but more than fair. If you show up and study, you'll ace the class and you can walk the final. Her Med Term class really helped with further medical courses I had to take and she's more than happy to help you when you need it. I would take her again in a heart beat, I love her to bits.

At first I was very intimidated by her, however, as the semester went on I got used to her. Just work hard and get her to like you. She is also a lot more lenient with you if you show up to class. I had to miss a test and she let me come into her office but she didn't have it written yet so we just talked through the info and then said I got an A.

You will learn to love Professor Nugent! She may seem intimidating at first, but that is because she knows that her students are capable of more than they think. Show up to class, do your homework, and you will ace her tests/quizzes. Get an A on all 3 tests in her class, no final required. Overall, she is a very caring and GREAT professor.

Nugent is the kind of person who grows on you. She has VERY high standards for her classes, especially LLT 102 (never taken it, just heard her talk about it). For any class with her, she'll call you out for not attending or doing the work, but as long as you make your best effort and do the homework she'll help you through it. Use office hours!

I was very nervous to go into this class because of some bad reviews I had read on here but I loved Dr. Nugent! She will roast you and other people so you just have to learn not to take it personally, it get's pretty funny. There are bonus questions on every test and quiz. If you get an A on the third test you can opt out of the final!

I enjoyed Dr. Nugent as a professor. She comes off a bit harsh and blunt, but she really wants her students to succeed and as long as you do the practice and put in some effort, you will do fine. There are 4 quizzes, and an optional quiz, which can replace one of your quizzes. Get A's on all of the exams and get a pass on the final.

I personally loved this class! Professor Nugent was an amazing professor; she was passionate and knowledgeable about the material, she assigned hardly any homework, and the tests were easy if you showed up to class and made an effort to study the material. I would 100% take her for another class if I could!
