For a tough subject like Anatomy and Physiology she is a very good professor. I have learned a lot from her class. She is very helpful and willing to work with you in class. For our class, she spent enormous amount of time to make clear reviews about each broad and difficult chapters. She has only tested us from given topics prior to the tests.

She is very knowledgeable and passionate. She has high standards and expects students to be 100%. I appreciate the fact that she makes very clear review sheets and sessions before every test. I recommend her for anyone who is serious about science not for someone who just needs a lab class.

I took her during Fall 2011 and she was a great teacher, very knowledgeable about this subject. If you want to pass this class you have to be dedicated to reading the textbook thoroughly. I passed her class with an A. She gives multiple choice tests, and one extra credit project.

For A and P she will try to help but no lie is verry hard class the migorty of the class is on you but she can help but so much to rember

Dr. Ward really doesn't break down the information you have to read the textbook and the material on-line to kinda get the point. Her test are hard because they cover like 5 or 6 chapters all at once. She does have power point that see just read off of. But over she's a really nice person and does try her best to help you out.

Dr Ward is a good instructor and she tries to be helpful. But Biology have a lot of information, that is the only hard part of the class. Attendance for lab is important, not so much for lecture days. Drops lowest exam score and do/provide reviews for exam. Besides these, just give some effort and everything will be okay. I enrolled for classes at central campus since I could not get a seat at Stafford, a closer college. My plan before now was to tidy up this semester and head towards Stafford. We're only few weeks into the semester but with Dr. Ward on board, I sure would continue with the ride. She is an excellent, calm and prompt lecturer. Dr Ward is awesome!!!

She is a good teacher but biology is not easy. you have to study a lot to make an A however it is not mission impossible. I made a B in my first test but got a perfect score in the second. the secret is dedication. Exccept for that she is a wonderful teacher.

I had Professor Ward for Biology 1406. It's funny because I was so worried and intimidated at first. I thought, "This is definitely going to be a class that I'm going to have trouble passing" I studied and paid attention ( wasn't hard since she's really good explaining things) and before you know it I got a 98 on my first test!! just pay attention

Professor Ward is hands down the best Biol professor! Taking A&P is no easy task. You really have to focus and study study study. Professor Ward helps tremendously by providing well detailed lectures and extensive reviews. Flash cards help tremendously for the first 3 chapters. After that it's every man for themselves. Her lectures are amazing and then she post all the lectures on eagle online. Like any other professor you need to put in your time. She usually post a review a few days before the test so memorize those pages, sometimes 12 pages long! Then go back through the slides so that you didn't miss any little detail. Labs are standard. Take her!

I loved taking A&PI with Dr. Ward. I took the 5 week course. It was intense and a lot of work for sure, but I studied hard and it paid off with an A! If you study, you will do fine. The tests are not tricky, but I imagine they would be difficult w/o studying. Dr. Ward is warm, friendly, funny and caring. She loves feedback and wants you to succeed.

I took this course during a summer session so it was quite hard because we ended up doing a chapter a day but it was WORTH IT! She really knew what she was talking about and was willing to take the time to sit down with me to clarify any questions I had. Her tests are based off of the lectures so if you miss class you will probably fail.

Dr. Ward is by far one of the best professors I've ever had. Not only is she clear and concise about what you need to know for her tests, but she really cares about the success of her students. Biology isnt an easy subject for me but Prof Ward makes it bearable. Shes super caring and helpful, goes out of her way to explain material. Answers emails quickly. Tests arent horrible, just do the worksheets she gives for each unit and study. There is a group project that youre pretty much on your own for, but not hard. Would take her again.

prof Ward was the most considerate and caring professor I've ever met. I was sick and she changed the whole grading for class because of me and we weren't allowed to drop any test. Study her review sheet (they are long) but you'll find it all in the exam. She made the transition from in class to online due to Covid 19 super easy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I have so much respect for Dr. Ward. This class was hard but I learned so much. There are hw's and quizzes on every chapter. 4 exams but she'll drop one, and 1 comprehensive final. We play kahoot as a review before the exam so don't skip on Kahoot days. Only complaint is that she's not teaching AP2, otherwise I'd take her again.

Biology is a hard subject for many because of the many topics you must memorize. However, Professor Ward provides study guides for each exam except the final. She also does a meeting before each exam to review all the material where we do a practice exam as a whole & you are able to ask questions in real-time. Plus, she is super nice.

Best professor I have had so far! If you are a visual learner she is perfect. She does not fill slides with paragraphs. Teaches almost everything through images and has great test reviews. You do have to really study hard to pass but this class, in general, is hard. Does not load with HW. No discussions or case studies. Two easy fun projects.

Professor Ward is one of the kindest and respectable professors ive had. All of her tests are on lockdown browser, but if you study you will pass. She does drop your lowest test grade. Do all of your homeworks and quizzes. You have to put in effort into this class. It resembles what a University course is like.

5 week summer Lab 2101. Exams the blank/etc. with no word bank, no multiple choice, and she doesn't curve, so make sure you study. Straightforward questions. That said, she's an amazing professor. She explains things REALLY well. Study the labs, the review checklist, and the power points. Confident I just got an A on the first test :)

This professor is kind but you definitely have to earn your grade. If you don't study you WILL NOT PASS. She makes you work for your grade. She does give extra credit opportunity & drops your lowest exam. You have to study & if you need help, she will try her best to help. But her tests are very heavy & you will need lockdown browser for every test

As someone who has always struggled in science, this class wasn't as hard as expected. While there is a lot of reading and note-taking, it is expected since it is a college course. No doubt you will have to work hard for your grade, but if you have effective studying strategies, you'll do fine.

This professor was really nice and would reply back to my messages quickly. If you attend the review sessions, you will pass the tests. I mainly focused on watching the review sessions and would pass with at least a B. However, she is very picky about how you take your exams. She dropped our lowest scoring quiz and test (out of the 4).

Professor Ward teaches well yet does not take things too seriously. She makes sure everyone is being taken care of and will go out of her way to help those in need of extra help.

Her "Practice Areas" for each chapter are good study tools for the tests. I did them over and over again until I had them memorized. If you do what I did, I think it's easy to get Bs on her exams, at minimum.

While I only took her for the Lab portion of A&P 1, I would recommend taking Lecture her too if possible. In class, she goes over a combination of ppt. slides and models. Her lectures are engaging and she comes off as very adept with the material. Attend her exam review sessions and review with the ppt. quizzes and you will make an A.

Great teacher, I really learned a lot because of the way she teaches. Her exams are free response so make sure you know how to spell correctly. She gives extra credit, nice, engaging, I recommend to take her class. Just two assignments per week and will give checklists for each exam

Amazing professor! Took an online anytime class. Textbook quiz, questions and discussion due every Sunday. Will send out reminders at the beginning of the week of what is due. Easy class with 4 exams and final on LCD and webcam and 1 group project(easy and in steps). kahoot reviews through zoom with recording. Will take this class again!!!

Dr. Ward is an AMAZING biology teacher! She cares about her students and their success. The structure of her class is pretty straightforward too: pre-lecture assignments (typically pretty short), presentation lecture, Pearson Mastery assignments, then a test after the unit is complete. Pauline Ward is an amazing teacher, in the bio lab! I learned the material better in the lab than in my lecture with a different professor. She gives study guides and allows you to drop the lowest exam score. She also provides practice exams before the real ones. She's fun, caring, and I'm taking her for anatomy next semester!

This class has 14 pre-lab assignments, 14 lab reports, and 15 quizzes. You must complete everything on time or get a zero. There are 4 lab exams, each worth 22%, and the lowest one is dropped. No make-ups for missed exams. Be on time and engaged in lab to earn full points. Gave extra credit like 2-3 times during the semester, a few points added.

Professor Ward's BIO2101 class is engaging, with hands-on activities and clear explanations. While the workload can be demanding, her practice quizzes and use of unstuckstudy make studying efficient. Overall, a rewarding experience for biology students.

Dr. Ward is a fantastic educator. She offers many different ways to study. It is not just the powerpoint she uses for class but there are crosswords, worksheets, study guides, kahoots, case studies, etc. Anatomy is a tough class no matter who the professor is. I took this class across 4 weeks during the summer, and even though it was incredibly fast paced, professor Ward explained every concept clearly and simply. I am a CRIJ major so of course I am struggling with the class BUT Prof. Ward just wants you to do as good as possible. Lockdown bowser is a must, she drops the lowest grade, she gives extra points for every test if you do the practice test, and she has a group project as well. I think medical students would do just fine!

Dr. Ward was a pleasant professor to learn from. It was an OnlineAnytime class with Lockdown browser. Her slides are very comprehensive (in combination with the checklists) and that is all you need to get an A. Her graded exam questions are very straightforeward and not tricky at all. One grade is dropped and I strongly recommend it be exam 4.

If you know how to study, the class will be easy. She wants participation, and makes sure you understand the material during lectures. She can either movetoo quickly sometimes, but she is very thorough in the material she covers.
