Great teacher!!! doesn't care as much about grades but, focuses on how much you can apply to your life! Which in a personal finance class should be the focus (to me anyways). Very helpful hands out typed notes before each lecture very knowlegable!

This professor is very smart and knowledgable, but his teaching method is hard to understand. Many students complained that they were not used to his method, and dropped out. If you have time and are a hard worker, you will pass or higher. If you slack off and don't take this class seriously, you will fail 100%.

Extremely helpful!! He holds extra office hours. Gives work sheet for every chapter which is a great way of practicing for exam. We also got mock exam paper which is similar to real exam. But you have to put an effort otherwise you won't do well. He goes extra mile to help the student, thumbs up for him.

Took him for winter, and his class was an easy A. All calculations are done on a calculator instead of memorization. Also, he dislikes when people fail his class so he makes it practically impossible to fail his class. He cares a lot about his students and will answer any questions. He may get off topic a lot and talk about the stock market though.

Professor Nagpal has been one of my favorite professors at El Camino College. He is very caring and tries accommodating his student as best as possible. He truly wants to give all his students good grades and will give extra credit if needed. If a question was confusing on exams he will drop it for the whole class. I've also taken him for BUS1A

One of the easiest professors I've ever taken. Nagpal wants people to pass his class and will do anything he can to help you. Gives you notes ahead of time, allows the use of graphing calculators on tests, tests are just the study guides he hands out but with different numbers, he even lets you bring in a cheat sheet! Prof. Nagpal is a very smart guy. Clearly he knows what he is talking about for statics. I like how accesible he is to the students for his office hours (even coming on weekends!!) Only downer is that he may go at a very fast pace at times, but he takes the time to explain over and over (even stay after class to help)! Great professor overall!!!!!!

This professor was amazing. This class was particularly easy for me since I took it back in high school, but he explains lectures very well. Attendance was optional, but you could always go back and watch the recorded lectures for the days you missed. Very understanding and caring, you won't be disappointed.

As long as you do all the work and redo the problems from class, there will be no issues on exam day. The labs (where you actually build circuits) allow you to apply what you've been doing in the lecture problems and homework. Take this class!!!!!

Despite being his first semester teaching Circuit Analysis, he clearly explain the information like he has been teaching this course for years. He spends countless hours outside the class, from email textbook authors to contacting other college professors, to make sure what is taught is applicable to the future. Partial credit is a grade saver.

Prof. Pavan is 1 of the best professors at ELCO. If you are an ENGR major, so take his ENGR classes. If you want both knowledge & credits, so take his classes. Professor Nagpal was super caring and would make sure that his students are learning. It's pretty easy to pass his class as long as you listen to his lectures because it's basically your quizzes and exams. There's one presentation but it's really easy. He makes sure he answers all your questions and he remembers every single one of his students.

This professor knows what he's doing and brings a lot to the table for students majoring in the engineering field. Attendance is mandatory, but compared to what Professor Nagpal can offer, it's worth it. He gives you great tips for what our roadmap may look like down the line. He's the kind of professor you can go back to, even in university.

Professor Nagpal is a great engineering instructor. We had a few quizzes, tests, and one presentation. He gave ample time for the presentation, and always responds to emails in a timely manner. Highly recommend him for ENGR-1.

Professor Nagpal's handouts and lectures covered the entire chapter so we didn't want to go through all the pages in a textbook. He gave us an ample amount of time to complete assignments and quizzes. He scheduled some meetings with some engineers, where they shared their experiences, knowledge, and tips for success in any major.

cool guy. ask questions and go to office hrs or you'll be teaching yourself the material. hw is a huge part of the course grade. do it honestly bc all of the exam problems come out of hw. kind of a tough grader on exams but drops lowest exam grade. if you have the chance, definitely consider taking before transferring. easy A or B

This professor is really good and he is a very good solid grader. I think it balances being difficult while being able to learn new information about it. He is fairly friendly with grading and he does not want to fail any students. The exams are fairly similar to the practice exams but they are not exactly alike.

Professor Nagpal is a very smart guy. I had him for Engr 9 and 11 and it was good. He is very passionate about the subjects and you learn best if you ask him questions. Do all the homework practice and it will be very helpful. I recommend taking engineering classes at El Camino College.

Dr. Nagpal was an amazing professor. I learned a lot from his class and he is very attentive, approachable, helpful, and knowledgable. Manageable homework load and tests/quizzes. Final project was useful. I enjoyed this class and I really appreciate the professor. Highly recommend Dr. Nagpal and his classes.

He is an incredible professor who genuinely cares about his students. Teaches using examples which makes the difficult subject easier to follow. Will help out your grade as much as possible, really wants you to succeed. The exams are exactly like the homework, if you put the work you're guaranteed a good grade while still understanding the topic.

Great instructor, his accessibility outside of class is very appreciated, will schedule zoom time w/ you if his office hrs don't align w/ your time, he wants everyone to succeed. Although he is very generous w/ late submissions and make up work, don't take his generosity for granted! Do your work on time and you will thank yourself in finals week.

Great professor who cares about the success of all his students, gives great feedback when you have questions. His exams were very similar to his homework/worksheets and lecture examples. Do all work your on time and and ask questions when you need some help and you are basically guaranteed to pass.

Great course on how to succeed as a student in engineering within all different disciplines. Professor Nagpal is a great resource, knowledgable in his field and wants to share his wisdom. This course will help you map your path to transferring and succeeding in engineering. I recommended taking all transferable engineering courses at ECC w/ Nagpal.

He is a very caring professor and doesn't want you to fail the class, you will need to follow his formulas to pass the class, very important to watch the recorded lectures and I recommend attending office hours at the start of the course, so you know what to do. Overall, the professor is very understanding and helped me throughout the course.

Was afraid of taking stats but Nagpal made it easy. As long as you go to the lectures and study center you'll pass the class easily.Take him!

As his syllabus states, you NEED to do the work how he does it, or you won't receive credit. That might sound frustrating, but he clearly states what needs to be done in the lectures/homework review videos he provides. He makes it very easy to perform well in his class, as long as you are willing to put in the work. Your grade is truly up to you.

Both classes are pretty easy, but Nagpal moves fast, so you may not absorb everything in class—you'll need to study on your own. He's very nice, accessible, generous with late work, and a lenient grader. Overall, a great professor, but be ready to keep up with the pace if you want to succeed.

Professor Nagpal is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He is very supportive and always wants his students to pass. He gives extra credit and explains math problems in a simple and easy way. His exams are very similar to the worksheet problems, so if you do the practice, you will be ready for the test.

Took him over the Summer, very manageable class, just print out your notes and use them on exams if you're taking it online. He will not round your grade though even if its 1% off so be aware once you lose points in his class that's it.

I really recommend this professor. All practice/homework is done in class and is very similar to the exams. He provides cheat sheets for the exams and has opportunity's for tests corrections to earn some points back. Because I did well on the first three exams, he is letting me skip the final and basically be done with the class 2 weeks early.
