Great teacher. Very helpfull and his tests are easy.

If you don't have previous knowledge of algebra and its concepts and what not, then I suggest you read the book before. He doesn't teach the material as new, he "assumes" that one already knows it. He's a very nice teacher! He WANTS students to pass, no matter what....Lets you use notes for test.

Prof. Parada is a great professor! He does have an accent, but he explains everything very well. If you don't understand something he doesn't mind explaining it again. I think he really wants students to pass & doesn't make your life a hell like some prof. Attendance not req & doesn't care if you come late.

I am currently in this class the semester ends next month in Dec. and I am passing this class so far with an "A" how is this possible because this professor is by far the best at Broward College. I love the fact that we get four HW assignment worth 10 pts each on each test. He cares about students that for sure.

So glad I took him. I failed college algebra in high school and passed his class with a B (I literally only did one homework assignment the whole semester.) He goes over as much of the review as he can get through the class before the test and he's very willing to help his students. His accent is the hardest part of the class.

If you have a hard time with understanding people with accents: Move out of FL, and don't take him--HOWEVER Pavel is THEE BEST MATH TEACHER EVER! He is sweet. Asks if he can erase. There is a great math teacher out there and it's him! He gives us 4 tests the entire semester the final exam we had to take in class but the rest of the tests were all take home which really helped me out a lot. He is very helpful but he does have an accent so sometimes I couldn't understand him. I hate math but now I try to understand it

Fantastic Teacher! Multiple choose tests. Attendance is not mandatory but unless you know math, I would not miss a class. Gives 10pts towards doing hw (on Mathlx and it has unlimited tries). He doesn't teach short cuts, but will go over the material until you understand it!!!! I am going to take him for all other math classes he teaches!

Pavel is a great person and a good professor. He really makes sure you understand. He will explain as much as you need it. He really want you to pass. I got an A in Mat 1033 and a B in Enc 1105. I will take him again if he teaches Sta 2023. Tamara

He's a great guy, will go over the material to ensure you get it. I am definitely taking him for MAC 1105, just know you can always get further assistance in the Math lab people.

he lets you use the notes on the exams we have, also lets you use calculators, very eadsy teacher if you dont pass his class you really dont have it in you to go to college. i am taking him now for mat1033 and already enrolled in mac 1105. great teacher take him you will not regret it what so ever.

Yes, everthing about this man is true. He is the best Math Professor, very helpful, always answer emails, telephone calls, and wants the students to succeed. He is truly the best professor in Broward College. His accent is thick, but please do not let that fool you, you would be a fool not to register for his Mat 115, or Mat 1033. The best.

Let me tell you something. This is the best math teacher of all Broward College Campuses. He really helps you out. There is no way you cannot get an A in his class. If you are nervous about math, take him because your nerves will no longer be there by the time you experience his classtoom. I got an A in his MAT1033 and MAC1105.

One of the best math teachers I have taken in general, he is so laidback with math, he makes it so simple. Buy the textbook along with the access code, take notes, and study; very simple class.

This class was probably the easiest college course you could take, the first test is done in class and the other 4 are all take home. the final is in class but he drops your lowest grade (including the final). He is VERY lenient on turning in tests, you could wait 2 weeks and he will still grade. I passed with an A

Professor Parada was super clear and he was easy to work with!! He teaches very well and gives examples for everything!! You will not be surprised with a question. Expect homework on MyLabsPlus, it was 15% of the grade but the questions were very easy & followed along with the textbook. The textbook isn't necessary but you need it to access online

Professor Parada is very EASY going. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Open book, notes/whatever you want during the tests. 3 take home tests. All homework is due at the end of the semester so do not wait until the last minute. Go to class and participate!

If you hate math and want an easy A, take this professor. Take home tests, extra credit homework online it couldn't get an easier to pass. His lectures are long, but I just went to class for the tests honestly. I think any other teacher I would have failed statistics, i'm grateful to have found this professor. Take his class seats fill up quickly.

Just show up and take notes. The book is not needed if you plan on attending each class. Open notes for all test. Easy if you get an A on all of your test. Sends reviews for each test which helps a lot. If you JUST need to pass this class then by all means take him. Strong Spanish accent but very approachable and understanding professor.

Amazing professor if you just need to get the credit and pass. Short classes. 4 tests and a final, either open note in class or take home. There is online homework due at the end of the semester (around 24 assignments, 15-20 questions each). Please don't hesitate take, you will do fine!

Professor Pavel gives take home test and in class but just ask him if it can be take home instead and he will let the whole class take it home! Easy A! If you are taking this for the credit, I strongly recommend him. The tests are all 20 questions and you can finesse using Mathway on your phone. He even gives two take home tests. If you actually want to learn don't take this professor because you won't. The only downside for me was a LOT of online hw. Overall I recommend to those who hate math.

This teacher is awesome! I HIGHLY recommend him if you are not good at math and need credit! doesn't assign a lot of unnecessary work. 4 tests, mid term and final, along with ALEKS online homework. Show up to class to learn but it isnt mandatory. You should pass with an A/B, its impossible not to! I will be taking him again in the fall for sure.

Professor Parada is the best teacher at broward college. I'm horrible at Math in general. I just finished his summer class at the Weston Center with an A. I have never gotten an A in math my whole life. He gives plenty of chances for you to pass. He does have an accent but it's not hard to understand. DONT BUY THE BOOK A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!

I'll just say this...I commute from Delray to Pembroke Pines just to take ALL of my math classes with this professor. This is the EASIEST professor on the planet! 4 tests, 2(open note) in person + 2 Take home. Online Connect Homework. I've never done the connect homework and lowest grade was B! If you suck at math this man is heaven sent. Take him!

Parada is the kind of professor that will pass with min effort. You get take home tests and if you don't have take home tests you get OPEN NOTE tests. ALL tests are open note! A LOT of Aleks assignments (homework). Take Parada if you just want the A but don't want to learn. He's good for an easy A but you won't learn much.

Summer '18 Sess 2 @ Pines Ctr. 6 wks, 5 chps. The course uses Pearson & there are 600 possible pts, each chp has HW (20pts) & a test (100pts). The HW has 35-40 Qs and tests are 20 Qs, all w/ unltd time/attempts. Take notes while doing your HW to use on the tests & you'll do fine. Attendance is not mandatory, do NOT buy textbook, no midterm/final.

Professor Parada is amazing! He is very good at explaining this throughly and his tests are not very difficult. Only a final and it was easy, this is coming from someone who is terrible at math. The homeworks are online and easy. I highly recommend if you are a dual enrollment student!

Mad easy. Class was online because of the pandemic, so the quizzes and final was on Aleks. Thats all we had work, on Aleks. Nothing else. No discussion or all that. And no webcam! Grade was a 97%.

Prof Parada is an amazing first professor. All of his assignments are on MyLab and are so easy. He gives all of the homework in advance so you can start working on it immediately. His tests are very easy and reflect the homework. He gives unlimited tries for the tests so if you mess up its okay! Hes truly a gem of a teacher and you will pass.

I hate math. If he had STATs for spring term instead of summer I would've taken his class again. If he offers to take the test on Mymathlabs ... TAKE IT! make a GC for the class and you should be able to pass the class with a C. My mom passed away this semester and I was still able to keep up.. Good luck.

My first DE college class as a high school freshman and this teacher was great! All homework, assignments, tests online thru mylabs and final exam in person. Wish that he would also teach pre cal/trig . Take notes , attend class and you will get a good grade.

Gives lots of examples of each topic which helps. He's very direct and straight to the point. I'm not the best at math, and learned a good amount. Unlimited attempts on HW (my mathlab), and tests online as well. Final study guide was helpful but not a translation of the test. Good professor.

This class, for being math, was very easy and the professor made the information very easy to understand. The professor himself is amazing and very personable.

I was skeptical at first because of the loads of homework, but I grew to absolutely love this man. Literally just do the homework (chatgpt/chegg it if possible), all tests are online so have a "system" for that too (he also gives like a week to complete the tests), and you're solid. this man just understands the assignment. he truly cares.

Took professor Parada for both MAC1105 and Statistics. Common theme in both is that there is lots of homework, but it's due at the end of the semester. DON'T WAIT UNTIL LAST MINUTE TO COMPLETE THEM. Show up to class for the lectures and reviews. Very caring and helpful professor.

If you just want an easy credit then take him if you want to actually learn then stay far away. Everything was online and none of it was proctored. Easiest class ever but i defiantly did not learn anything.
