Class isn't too hard, but she doesn't seem to really know the information that well.

By no means is 218 and 318 easy, you must do your homework and lots of studying. In 218 things dont seem to make sense but in 318 she clears things up. After 318 I realized how much i learned from these classes. She is willing to work with you as long as you put in effort. Good luck.

This class is not hard, although it does require some studying. I recommend getting copies of the second test in particular. I did learn a lot, but I think Dr. Alciatore is starting to go a little crazy...
Even though she claims your going to have to do more than remember pictures for her test, the test requires very little critical thinking. Not a very hard class, but it is pretty time consuming. Also not very in-depth, however it is a "Survey" class. Cheers.
Everyone says this class is very hard, but if you go to class and pay attention you will do fine!
hard if you dont do h.w.Ask questions. just depends on you, your time & study habits. she did say in class , she rewards those who come to class, giving info not in txt but in lect. There's bonus points offered from extra effort, if you do what she suggests.unclear@1st,but interested now.
i think she is very clear. the class has a lot of info. you just have to keep up with the work and pay attention!
This class is hard. Try not to take other hard classes with it. The final is a killer.
very hard but informational and very fair
Dr. Alciatore is a wonderful teacher. The class is demanding, but you will learn a lot. I suggest biology majors take the class.
Dont go into this class expecting to be passed because she doesnt do that. I worked hard all semester and got an A. Tape Record the class cause thats a big helper. I based most of my studying off old tests, the recordings, and very vague notes that I took in class. Oh yea lab is super easy, if you dont pass there I feel sorry for you.
My most dreaded class--I had heard so many horror stories that I was shaking in my boots. After the first test, I was even more terrified. But then I actually started studying less, and did better! I was studying so much that I was overthinking things. Just get as many old notes as you can, and read them (along with your own)and read them daily!

Dr. Alciatore is a great teacher. the subject is super hard though. if you pay attention and handle your crap in this class you will do fine.
If you are a biology major, you will get more out of Gen Phys. More tailored to nursing students.
It doesn't seem like at the time but you actually learn all that hard stuff. I've been out of her class for three years and I still remember things she said!!
she needs to retire! i took an a&p class at another school. half the info she gave was antiquated. and her tests! what is the piont of making tests so difficult that the student dreads them? it certainly is countereffective to the learning process. my advice go to another school. you'll pass the first time and have a better GPA!!!
I hated this woman's class.
You will learn in this class
I found the class to be great... Just have to put the time in and study. You have to ask for someone else's old notes, they've got them laying around trust me. Just study!
This was a very hard class. I had to learn how to study, but I learned so much!! She is the best teacher I have ever had.
Dr.Alciatore is a wonderful teacher, however her tests are unbelievably HARD. I studied after every class, and went to her for extra help, and I still made a "D". She is very willing to help, so take advantage of this!
I rated Dr. A for 218, but here goes.I do not get all the negative ratings for her.She is the best teacher I've had at UL.If you go talk to her, she will do her best to work with you.I received an A in both 218 and 318.You HAVE to put the effort in.I got a couple of sets of old notes from friends for each class, and studied a set or two each night.
She is a great teacher and will work with you anytime or anyday she is challenging but awesome
Love the class, hate her. Thinks she is funny and is not by a long shot. talks down to people and then blasts you on tests. I did well, but with no help from her.
She is a great teacher, you will know your stuff once you finish the class. Her wording on tests is what gets you. Don't read too much into the questions.
Great teacher. You will learn and will be prepared for whatever medical profession that you pursue. You have to study and study a lot. You will have to supplement the notes with info from textbook and internet. Work like hell and you will not regret it. I made an A in 220 and I am trying to repeat that grade in 318.
Very helpful. You have to work VERY hard, and read the book!
She is a very nice lady, and presents her material very well. Be prepared to study ALOT. Her grading on exams are inconsistent. She will deduct pts off of essay questions if you put too much info!
Wonderful teacher!
Listen to her lectures because she will tell you what you need to know for the test, do not completely rely on the textbook. Take advantage of study groups and her office hours. Don't read into test questions too much, you will trick yourself. The key to being successful is knowing how to study the material.
The class is very, very hard! You have to work on it EVERY SINGLE DAY! However, Dr.Alciatore is an amazing teacher. She will help you as long as you help yourself. She tries really hard to make the class enjoyable. Do not take any other hard courses with this one. It takes up a lot of your time.
Wow! I don't know what's wrong with some people that rated Alciatore. She's great! Yes, her tests are hard! So what? They certainly should be. She's interesting, makes learning challenging. I wouldn't recommend any other hard classes at the same time & record the class, every detail matters. It will take all your free time AND IT'S ALL WORTH IT!
Attend every class, everyday counts!! Study ahead of time and get old practice tests. You can learn alot from this class
she is a very good teacher; the best i have ever had. you will learn a lot of valuable info. attendance is a must. tests are challenging. i attended all the study group at lee hall, which was also very helpful. i had to work for my A, but it was worth it.
I passed the lab with an A everytime (I took the class twice), but yet I still only managed to make a D in the class. The lab (1/3) and the lecture (2/3) grades are combined. I understood what I was learning in the lab, but what Dr. Alciatore was teaching in the lecture was so confusing. She is a VERY hard teacher. Be prepared to study a LOT!!!
This is a hard class and you will have to study a lot, but you will leave it feeling like you have learned a lot. It was a good experience.
Dr. Alciatore is an awesome teacher who realky enjoys what she does! The material is pretty difficult and simply memorizing the information will not help. I suggest BUYING THE BOOK and reinforcing what she teaches with the literature, it helps so much! Her tests may seem tricky but if you know your stuff you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
DO NOT read the book. Go to class. If you understand the lectures at the time, you will do well on the test.
For this class you have to attend every class period! Dont expect to pass if you don't. Voice record her lectures and I found it helpful to print notes off of University Notes. Start studying at LEAST 5-7 days before the test. Read the book before class and that help me understand ALOT. Made no less than a B on every test. She's a great teacher!
I didn't tape lectures and made a B. Take good notes and compare yours to the ones available online. Between the two, you'll get a fairly good idea of what she expects you to know. Looking at old tests is a very good way to prepare. It's a lot of information, but easily passable. She's very funny too, if you enjoy a dry sense of humor.
Not as hard as everyone says it is. I got an A without studying alot. Do not skip class, take down EVERY word she says, and ask her questions outside of class. She is great at explaining things in her office or after class. Supplement with the book if you are unclear, but the majority of the test is from the lectures. Great professor!
Great teacher! However, definitely be prepared to study! Take notes, record lectures, and go to the study groups. Her tests are hard, but she does a great job of preparing you for a career in healthcare. You earn your grade. She really knows her material and enjoys what she does. Not to mention - she's hillarious!
she is a great teacher. Her tests are pretty hard but she expects only the best out of you, she even say its the first day. This is a great class to keep the good and weed out the bad. Definitely start studying from the beginning til the last test and you'll do great, you'll learn a lot and after this class you'll know if biology is for you.
Great Instructor. She has contributed to 90% knowings of the body.
Not as hard as everyone says but you HAVE to study. Record the lectures, go home and make your own notes. Get old tests because they will save you. I made an A and all I did was record her, listen/make notes, and read over my notes before the test. If you study and keep up, you'll be fine. She's very easy going and willing to help
Makes you feel inadequate from day one. Tells you she is giving wrong information on purpose sometimes to see if you "catch it". If you don't pass her class you can still go into the health-care field (despite what she says) if you take it elsewhere. Don't mess up your GPA- run now!
she has been teaching way too long she needs to retire she still teaches concepts that have been proven inaccurate and or discarded by most anatomy scholars and current literature
She is a great teacher. She explains things very well and is willing to help. It is not as bad as some people make it sound, you just have to study and attend class.
Okay so I had to take Dr. A for 220 twice and ended up making a B the second time. 318 is SO much easier though and I actually pulled off an A with little studying!
220 is harder than 318, but both need lots of studying. she writes and draws very fast and sometimes the notes are unorganized, but she's very smart and a good teacher. i would definitely recommend getting old notes and old tests.
her multiple choice is awful, but the writing parts of the tests aren't bad at all - you just have to make sure you know everything about everything. GO TO TUTORING.
Record her and write your own notes. I made an A in 220 and 318 and its b/c of that. She's an amazing teacher and its an honor to be taught by her. Tests are not that bad just difficult to complete in time span. Do short answer first then multiple choice. She's willing to help but she's not going to give you anything. You have to earn it!
In the minority re: 318 being easier. I made a B in both classes. I didn't like the short answer part of 318...you have to actually remember & regurgitate info. To me, more of an effort than being able to simply pick from multiple choice. I didn't tape lectures or go to tutoring and never opened the book & bio is not my thing. She's a good teacher.
Anatomy and Physiology is not an easy subject to begin with, but Dr. Alciatore makes it a little clearer. The short answer portion of the tests in 318 gives you some leverage because she gives credit for just trying. Overall, not such a bad class. . .I made an A!
Hardest class Ive ever taken. Failed the first test because it is the hardest. DOnt let it scare you. I didnt make lower than a B on the rest of the tests but it was because University notes and old tests. I ended up with a B. It requires ALOT of studying and you have to know your stuff. Im just glad its over
Her class is hard, get ready to study beyond belief and UNDERSTAND everything in GREAT DETAIL. I unfortunately got a D in 318 and retook it elsewhere and made an A with flying colors. I feel like her class is overly detailed and should be more for grad school a&p, although you do learn your stuff despite the grade you get. Must study old tests!
The information really isn't that hard; however, it's her tests that are the tricky part. She words the questions very confusingly, and then on top of that, almost all the answers seem like they "could" be right. She's a really good teacher, but you have to prepare for the tests!!
Very challenging class. You must attend and you must study. Gives clear notes, but you have to go to the book for 'back up.' Overall good teacher.
HARD CLASS. I don't find her teaching helped or even the book!the lectures cover so much detail and not even half of that is on the actual tests. tests are difficult the only thing that has helped were the tutoring groups. if you take this class you must live and breathe biology everyday.
She's hard, get over it. The book is useless except looking random things up. Do any extra credit she offers. What's the MORE correct answer BS. Easier than 220, but use your test time wisely. She won't eat your soul, but pretty close to it.
Keep your 220 notes and just elaborate with her 318 lectures. Do NOT study anything beyond what she teaches. Record her lectures and go over them the same day. Know your drawings too. Use the text only as reference. It is a lot of information but not impossible. Cramming 48 hours before her exam will NOT work. Trust me.
Unfortunate teacher because I really like the subject material. I still made an A but she made me hate the class and I won't be taking her again. It's about HOW to take a test and she will intentionally TRY to trick you. If you really like physiology (like me) and want to learn more or delve deeper, I'd ask Drs. Deaton or Spring before her.
Dr. Alciatore is an extremely intelligent woman. I can already tell that she will be the most influential figure in my nursing school career. The class is tough, but if you at least pay attention in class, study every single day, and read the book you are sure to make at least a C.
Hard class plus she makes it even harder
Best teacher so far at ULL. Really hard class but there is no reason you shouldnt pass. Dont need the book unless you are one of those peopl who has to read the text. Keep your notes from 220 cause they will help you fill in the blanks. Record ALL lectures and listen to them back a week before the test. STUDY her notes and you will earn a B easily.
This class is a weed out class, but too bad it weeds out the wrong people. This prof takes her class too seriously saying, "I want a A+ nurse not C- nurse." I studied my ass off and had to take this class 3x. Finally I took nursing elsewhere, well let this c+ nurse tell you that I've won excellence awards for the quality of care no thanks to her.
I bet this woman could tell you just about anything about Biology! She explains info. in an elementary way that's very helpful to the A&P beginner. I HIGHLY recommend recording her lecture and rewrite your notes using it. Write EVERY little detail. Only issue about this class were test wording. I missed answers I knew because of it.
Before taking Biology 220, you hear all of the horror stories of Professor Alciatore. After taking the class I can say, she is a great professor. Is she easy? No. But An A or B is achievable. Record her lectures, draw her pictures, listen to the recordings, write your notes and use the book as reference. Also attend the study groups offered!
hardest class ive taken so far. record the lectures and study study study. she is very tricky when it comes to her tests but university notes has good practice tests. she will tell you not to learn from the text book but read the text book. pay attention to little details.
Wow! I've heard horrible things about Dr. Alciatore's class but she was hands down the BEST teacher I've ever had! The material is tough - get over it. If you find no interest in her class, you shouldn't go into a health related profession. You'll learn so much from her - go to class, record her, go to her office, and do bonus. I made an A.
I've heard horror stories about her, but she quickly became one of my favorite teachers. She's a great teacher and is very helpful. The material isn't hard, just a lot of info. Go to class, study your notes along with older notes circulating and you'll do fine. (I didn't record lectures, but it couldn't hurt) She is also very witty and hilarious!
Good teacher and is pretty funny. Biol 220 and 318 are not what I would call easy, but with some effort you should have no problem making a good grade. Record lectures and attend study groups bc it really helps. I am so glad that I had her as a teacher.
If you did well in 220, you'll fly through 318 (especially if you have an easy lab teacher). 318 is just a review of 220 and I learned little new information in the class. An A or B is EASILY achieved, with a decent lab teacher. I made an A.
This has definitely been my hardest class so far, but I have learned SOO much! Do you have to work hard, study a lot, attend class, and actually put forth effort in this class? YES. But you're in college now, suck it up. You will learn so much in this class if you go in with an open mind. It's not as bad as everyone says, I promise!
The only way to get an easy A in this course is to get the typed notes+last years tests+visual analogy guide book. With these three you would need a weekend to study and get an A from the test. This instructor exams are unusually hard but all the points are in those three I mentioned.
She's an amazing teacher. Her tests are very hard but passable. A lot of the majors that take this class are nursing majors and I've seen so many of them make C's and D's on the tests! If you're not making a B or an A in this class, please change your major! I won't trust a nurse who makes a C in this class to inject me with a needle.
Dr. Alciatore is the best professor at UL, and I feel honored to have been her student. She is, by far, my favorite professor at UL. I have never studied harder for any other class, but it is so fascinating that I actually loved studying. Record the lectures, transcribe them, read the text, and STUDYYYYY! I made an A in 220 and 318; it is possible!
Dr. Alciatore is very intelligent and surprisingly witty. Attend every lecture and record them. Her test are hard and she likes to put more than one correct answer but she wants the BEST answer. I never opened my book once but I had the university notes, which was all that I needed to pass all the test.
She is a very intelligent professor and I love her sense of humor. The material is hard but focus on what she says and what she tells you to read in the book. And try to get past notes if possible. Her questions don't change much.
I loved Dr. Alciatore. Her tests are HARD!!! I made a C in this class by blowing the final but averaged Bs all semester long. Obviously, this class is a requirement (for Nursing - with no other options) so suck it up and STUDY! I DID NOT use the textbook only recorded lectures, university notes, and old material. She is very smart and amusing.
She's super easy! i made an A in the class. A lot of people said that she's hard, because they all just memorized the material. To make an A in the class is understand the concept..!!!! i don't record the lecture, just take some important notes and read ur book...!!! good luck !
Dr. Alciatore is an amazing teacher!
she's a good teacher. tests are hard. read the chapters as you go along. only negative is that she seems to enjoy scheduling the tests on the same day as the lab test :/
One of the easiest teacher i ever had!! i dont see what all the fuss is about. The test are not hard at all! Too many overdramatic people... Here is some advice for those complainers.. "study at least 2.5 weeks before the test, not 3 days before the test!"
really good teacher, never opened my book, just took notes.....made an A!!! onward to bio318!
I posted last semester on BIOL 220 and nothing has changed in many many many years so dont expect it to start now. It is HARD but it is what it is... there are no other options for this class. She is a wonderful instructor but the material is just demanding. You cant study a week before the test and expect anything higher than a C.
study the day before the tests and still made an A, didn't use the book. i think people just psych themselves out, not really hard class at all, i even slept through class lol
Serioulsy.. This lady needs to go back to basics on what teaching means.. She is a horrible teacher basically you go to class to just sit around and not learn anything. My advice..study from the book read read read.. because she does not teach period. She rambles about the topic without any clarity.
1)Read material in book before class 2)Record lectures and listen to them. While you are listening, if you come to something that you do not understand, reread it in the book 3)Pay attention to her drawings 4)Study for test at least 1.5 weeks in advance. Do these things and you should get an A or B. I got an A. Good luck
As a nursing student I loved this class! I ended up with an A but it wasn't easy whatsoever. I recorded her lectures and typed them up verbatim after every class. If you miss one day your already behind. I took her over the summer which helped because it was the only class I had to worry about!
Really easy class, don't buy the book, you wont need it
This class is challenging, and can be exasperating often. Having said that, nothing in life worth having comes cheap or easy. You will have to put in the work. There is just no getting around that. But taking her type of test will definitely cultivate, and improve the critical thinking skills needed to pass NCLEX. That is the silver lining.
POWERPOINT PLEASE!!!
Not a easy class at all , you can't expect her to give you a grade, take advantage of every opportunity she gives hard work pays off
She is very clear on what she wants and expects of you. Do not think she will give you anything you did not earn. This class could be easy or hard depending on the amount of effort you put in. I made an A some friends of mine failed..depends on the person. Oh and definitely buy the book and draw her pictures she puts on the board!!!
Definately not an easy class, but it is an interesting one. Unless you are prepared to bust your butt to pass you will not make it. You will not pass just by doing nothing. She is a good teacher but the only reason I passed is because of Tutorbox. If you have to take it look into tutorbox, a definite help. I finished with a B
not as bad as it seems you will learn so much about your body.a few tips: 1.use university notes for pictures, old test and notes. they helped ALOT!! 2.record lectures.3.study everyday esp pics. 4. go to the SI group tutoring. 5.do bonus anD answer questions in class +1 for each answer.6. dont miss more than 10 days.7.dont buy the book.i made an A!
Google is your friend. She expects you to know what she means as she saying it. I googled most of the terms she used, anatomy, and functions. The material is vast and complicated and she flies through it at the speed of sound, literally. Record lectures and listen to them daily. (250+ppl)
very easy class all you have to do is study in advance and you will pass. read her notes over and over and the test will be easy.
I love biology and enjoyed 220 and 318. Sometimes she isn't clear on what she expects you to know about the material so I dug in the book until I felt I know a considerable amount of info. After 220 she loosens up and becomes silly and more cooperative with the students. Don't believe all the horror stories!! I was scared to death and made A's.
People make a big deal about 220 and 318, they are not terrible. Will take considerable reading. READ THE BOOK and take your own notes. Only use previous notes to clarify and supplement your own. When in doubt, read the textbook. Aced every test.
Get notes form someone in a previous semester, and add to those notes. Record the lectures. You have to be able to draw and explain EVERY concept, so you should be able to teach the content yourself. Get a dry-erase board to practice before the test. God forbid you end up with an 89.5 because she won't give you the A even if you had a 98 in lecture
Definitely not an east class, all I can say is you better get your butt to TutorBox!!
She is great! She jokes around a lot and shares personal stories with the class. She lectures in detail but would only mention something once, so I wouldn't pay attention and it would end up being a question on the test. Hard class yes, you have to work for it. I studied three days before each test for like 10 hours a day.
Make sure you record her lectures and listen to it after class. I rewrote my notes and made my own "book", went to SI, and made sure I understood at least 90% of that material from that day.
She is nice enough, but a teacher, she is NOT. It is obvious that she knows the material, but does not do well in articulating or conveying that information to the student. Yes, it is passable, but please expect to teach yourself. Record lectures, as most classes she is all over the place, and rarely stays on topic.
You are on your own. No power-point or book references. Nothing is organized. RECORD LECTURE & TAKE PICS!!!! You are responsible for every word, sentence, theory, and diagram. If you have to take 318, you can guarantee that all scenarios & info. from 220 will be expected to be known already.
I know all you hear is horror stories but this class is doable! It's VERY interesting which makes it more tolerable. The information is super overwhelming because there's so much of it. She just lectures with a couple of drawings. For the information provided, the tests are easier than you think. Put in time and effort to get the best results.
Dr. Alciatore's class is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. She's super funny and smart. Record her lectures, and write down everything she says- her tests basically come from her lectures and study guides on Moodle. It's not hard to get an A if you put in the effort.
Listen, this is a rough class with a tough teacher. That being said, if you have to take this class, you chose this major for a reason. its hard and seemingly impossible at times. GO TO TUTORBOX HE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED (especially if you're struggling making connections in the lectures) and dont forget that the lab counts towards the 318 grade!
Dr. Alciatore is not your typical professor, you must record every one of her lectures and go back home and write a book(in your own words), on the material she talks about. Also, do not just write down what she says; read deeper about them so you have a good understanding of the subject. Her tests are very involved, you must use your understanding
GO TO TUTORBOX! She will tell you that you are a fool for going, but I have an A in the class because of tutorBOX! You have so much studying outside of class that you may miss out on information that you didn't even know you had to know for the tests! TutorBOX covers everything!
Dr. Alciatore is wild. Definitely get a study buddy, record all her lectures, and ask questions if you do not understand. Read her tests carefully, she's slick. Just be prepared and do not cry too much....
So her class is hard. You spend all this time studying and then you barley pass the test. Make sure you do well in lab cuz it will really boast you up. TutorBox is really the way to go. Yeah it's expensive but it helps you know the basics of the information inside and out so you can answer her crazy questions. Also make sure you look at old test.
Think of the most obscure, non-related topics in the chapter. Things you've never even gone over in class. Now picture all those questions on a test. Good luck.
Get ready to go to class everyday & not really know what's going on. Find tutorbox on Facebook and go. Took the class once and failed. Tutor box is the only way I passed on the SECOND try. But good luck
I am currently taking 220 and 221 (The lab). This is a SUPER hard course. Dr. Alciatore is a very smart lady, and it's not that she's a bad teacher at all, but her class is very tough. I'm hoping to pass with a C.
This class is definetely interesting I personally really like Alciatore and you learn alot in this class if u love anatomy. She discouraged u alot but dont give up study hard her tests are higher level thinking not straight forward. Be sure to UNSERSTAND AND APPLY the concept and not just MEMORIZE and TIE YOUR PIECES TOGETHER!!!.
This class is tough. What she writes on the board is not legible and drawing re confusing. She discourage her students all which does not help at all. i wish everybody luck with her because hard and unorganized.
BIOL 220 where your best is not good enough anymore and your "only scratching the surface". Good luck in this class. Study heavily, make your own textbook, highly recommend the Analogy guide from lab!, record every lecture and listen to them from Day 1 you won't regret it. Certainly not easy, lectures are strictly picture based, prepare to draw!
It is definitely possible to pass this class! I didn't have the book, but I did exactly what she said on the 1st day of class & created my own. Draw every picture and recorded the lectures. I literally wrote down everything she said. The tests are all multiple choice, but you have to choose the "best" one, so study hard and pay attention to details
This class isn't a walk in the park. She prepare those who wants to strive far in their future careers. All that you've learned will be beneficial one day. She does not want you to memorize it but to learn it. Her questions aren't straight forward, it requires critical thinking. Record her topics, go home to your books, & learn in depth about it.
Make sure you understand everything for her test. You can't just memorize. You have to know how, what, and why for everything she teaches. I would highly recommend going to TutorBox . Rodney is a great tutor. He will definitely help you pass. She will discourage the class from going to tutorbox. Trust me, tutorbox was the only was I passed!!
I had heard many horror stories about Alciatore's class prior to taking her. I was absolutely terrified, but it honestly could have been a lot worse. Show up to class, take detailed notes, and review what you did in class by going through those particular sections in the book. But you gotta work for it!
Before Bio 220, I was terrified based on other people's opinions of Dr. Alciatore. Honestly, I love Biology 220. Dr. Alciatore's class can be very difficult. It doesn't have to be hard if you study and understand her illustrations. Re-drawing the pictures helped me the most. Dr. Alciatore is a great professor who really knows what she's teaching.
Literally THE WORST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD. Yes she's funny but she gets very off topic and babbles. Her teaching method is random and sporadic. her drawings are horrendous and the tests are THE hardest I've ever done. I'm a smart person. In fact I've taken A&P twice before and got an A. I went to tutoring twice a week all semester and still failed
Before taking this class I was so terrified by what other people were telling me, but I took this class and passed with an A. The material is very complex so you do have to work for it. You cannot be lazy, but she is a really good teacher. She always gives out a ton of bonus points and if she sees that you are working hard, she will help you out.
She's amazing. Don't let people scare you, this class is hard but that's part of going to a university. If you study daily, record the lectures, & draw every illustration she does on the board you'll be fine. Do every extra credit/HW assignment offered b/c at the end of the semester she could throw you some extra points on top of your final grade
One of the best professors at the university. Gets a bad rep for teaching a tough class, but everyone earns their grade. Teaches on a level anyone can understand. Definitely try to get the notes from someone who have taken the class prior.
Her classes aren't a walk in the park and 220 and 318 go hand in hand., besides the drawings in 318, which need to be exactly how she draws them. If you really learned in 220 you'll be just fine in 318. Try not to miss a class and definitely record the lectures. She's not as bad as people say, you just have to remain focused.
Her class really isnt that hard. If you record her lectures and rewrite your notes word for word from her lecture youll be fine. The test is literally every single thing she goes over in class. If you dont understand some parts, go to the book for extra explaination, it really helps.
RECORD THE LECTURES: i didnt start doing this till after test 2 and it helps out so much dont make the same mistake as me. when she draws figures on the board, take pics and find it in textbook later dont get caught up with drawing it bc you end up behind on notes. other than that, just redo your notes about four days before exam and youll do fine
Don't believe all of the horror stories you might hear about Dr. Alciatore's class. Dr. Alciatore herself is AWESOME!!!!!!!! Anatomy is a difficult subject in itself, so be prepared to read and really become absorbed in the material. As long as you are passionate about this subject and truly apply yourself, it is not impossible.
This class was HARD for me. She is a great professor, but pay close attention. Everything she talks about is on the test, but make sure you go back into the book and go more in depth! I had a lot of trouble learning the material and waited until the 3rd test to get help. Don't wait. I went to TutorBox and Mr. Rodney literally helped me pass!
Anyone who says she is difficult and doesnt care, didnt put in effort. She was always willing to answer questions and give advice. The subject matter is difficult but she is by far the best professor ive had yet. I am by no means a brainiac and i have to work hard for my grades and she helped me so much. Dont be scared of her! Highly recommend
This class was very difficult and you definitely have to work for your grade. I wouldn't take this class with other hard classes because studying will take up most of your time. I recommend going to TutorBox!! She hates it and talks bad about it but its literally saving my grade right now!
In her class you have to record everything she says. Make sure you draw out all of the drawings she does in class. Once you get home type or write out everything she said in lecture. Be sure to go to SI sessions also ! Good luck !
She knows her stuff but this class is extremely hard. You absolutely have to study your butt off in order to pass, and it is impossible to cram the night before. You will not do well unless you start studying at least a week before the test, trust me. Tutorbox helps tremendously so I highly recommend going.
Worst professor I have ever had. Made the possibility to make above a C almost impossible.
This is a tough class, but anyone who said a C was impossible was not trying hard enough. You have to record the lectures; listening back to them and typing them up was helpful. Going to office hours was helpful and the professor was always willing to explain anything I was having trouble understanding. It's not as bad as everyone says; just study.
Wonderful professor.
