She explains herself very well but needs to study and do the problems sets, it's very helpful on the test especially since it's worth 50% on the exams. Just pay attention in class. And I found the workbook to be very helpful, too.

First thing I thought when i got to her class was wow, she must have been hot when she was younger...her class is easy, she goes through things quickly but this prevents clases from becoming boring.

This teacher is easy if you just copy the notes from the board and just go over the notes and study off that befoe the test. Go over and over the noted and just do the problem sets that she assigns as home work.

I took her for Econ. 101 and she is very organized and her test come from the homework so if you read the chapters, make flash cards of the notes, and STUDY. you will do fine she gives extra credit so take advantage of that. Shes a very nice teacher and her notes are very organized.

Excellent teacher! Organized & to the point. Gives you hw to help you but doesn't collect it. If you have a 96% by the time final comes, you don't have to take it. She gives you a chance for extra credit before each test(up to 10 pts each (added to your final grade).

Prof. Crane is really a great teacher. But, she's a little too lenient. In both Econ. 101 & 102, it seemed like I barely did anything, did poorly on more than a couple tests, and still got a B in both classes. Like I said she's a good teacher and if I would've applied myself more, I coulda had A's.

Mrs. Crane is a really good teacher. She is VERY well organized in her lecture notes so its easy to grasp. Make sure to do the HW. She gives a lot of Xtra credit and drops your lowest test score @ the end of the semester. I enjoyed both of her classes and got A's. Also don't slack off!

She was by far the best Proferssor I've had at SWC. She makes everything easy to understand. If you just write down all she writes on the board and study it you'll get an A. The home work is very easy, it might take you 10 min to complete it.

Mrs. Crane is still the best teacher that I have had @ SWC! Not only does she teach the things that we need to know, but she teaches it in a way that's applicable to real-life situations. She is hands down my favorite teacher and you can tell she was a real looker in her glory days and has held up quite nicely in my opinion.

I'm currently attending SDSU, but took two acct classes at SWC, and trust she is a really good teacher. If u attend class, u don't need to read the Textbook. She should be teaching business classes at SDSU, because she is one of the best professors I've had. Definetly recommended for those majoring in Business.

I really felt this teacher was one of the best I've had at SWC. She definitely knows what she's talking about, the author of the book she uses mentions her by name, you gotta be good to do that. Seriously though, she's an excellent instructor, I wish more of my teachers were like her.

come on ppl. its only hard if you dont study. i have been here for a yr now and shes my fave. i like the fact that she has lots of tests bcuz the stuff she taught is still fresh on your mind. her advice is.. to actually LISTEN IN CLASS. i never even read the book and just took notes and studied those notes. and i got an A =)

Prof. Crane is an excellent teacher; her online course is very organized and well constructed. Course is not hard if you study; in fact if you stay ahead of the test schedule it is quite possible to finish the course with over 100%, (as I did) given she gives extra credit for early work. Also she answers email and bulletin board questions quickly.

Professor Crane is one of the best teachers at SWC. she is clear, concise, and her tests come from her lectures. study and you'll do well for sure. plus, she gives out so much extra credit, there's no way you can fail or not pass with an A. i was able to skip the final last semester and this semester. great teacher!! highly recommend her.

I hated my Econ classes in high school, so I really didn't think that I would like this class. I was pleasantly surprised to find this to not be the case. Ms. Crane makes economics easy, interesting and, dare I say it, fun. Thank you, Ms. Crane, for a wonderful learning experience.

I took the fast track on-line class over the summer---I would not recommend it unless you're an Econ major, which I'm not! It seemed that we pretty much led ourselves through all of the on-line work. As long as you read, read, read the book and her lectures, you'll probably do fine.

Prof. Crane is AWESOME! If you show up to class everyday, pay attention, ask questions when you don't get something... you cannot go wrong. Plenty of extra credit. If you average a high A thru the semester... you don't have to take the final! Not hard to do with macaroni bowls and extra credit. People who say otherwise are just crazy!

Well it seems to me like I was one of the few here that loves her. I guess its a hate it or love it type deal. She is organized for an online class and has a prepared outline with practice question after each chapter which help out alot. It also helps to do the work early to earn the extra credit points. Its not a free A but not a hard one either

I think she is a very good teacher. If you simply read each chapter she goes over once you'll do fine. It's a tough class if you don't touch the book but if you just go over every each chapter the tests should be a breeze. I wish I didn't take this class so lightly. You could easily get a B in the class if you just listen to what she says and read.

I don't understand why so many people are commenting that Ms. Crane's class is difficult. It's not. She reviews everything that you'll need for the test, she has practice sessions, gives review questions, and gives a lot of extra credit. She practically hands you an A. You'd have to be a really poor student to not do well in this class.

I'm glad that I didn't listen to all the poor comments on here when I decided to take her fast track class. She is one of the most organized and prepared professors I've had. If you follow her material and read what is assigned, getting at least a B shouldn't be difficult.

I currently have Professor Crane for both Econ 101 & 102...back to back. I work full time and currently taking 12 units this semester. I found that I only had to go to class, do the homework (which she doesn't ask to be turned in) study the night prior to the quiz & test and so far 90%in one class and 99% in the other =)) Take her...she is good.

It was my first online class and it was very easy. As long as you read the book and post all your assignments on the discussion board you will pass. I used the study guide. It wasn't maditory but it helped me a lot to understand economics.

She is a very nice teacher. If you take good notes and study from them you will get an A. You should read the book a day before the test. EASY CLASS.

The class was really just a straight forward class. Just need to pay attention and do the homework for extra credit. She gives extra credit for easy stuff. She explains very well and has a sense of humor. I'm taking Econ 102 with her.

Best over all online instuctor, I have taken more than a dozen online classes this was the most informative and stuctured class of all of them.

I am a straight A student. I took her online class for 101 and 102. She is not the easiest teacher but not the hardest either. If you want to be "forced" to learn, take her. You can't BS your way through it. Tests are timed, less than an hour, and can mathematically/graphically hard. I received an A both times.

This teacher is great! she knows how to explain everything really well. You have to pay attention and if you dont understand something ask her and she will be really helpful! There are some tests involved but if you study you'll be fine.

SHE TEACHES VERY WELL. SHE TELLS YOU EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING TO BE ON THE TEST, AS LONG AS YOU DO THE HOMEWORK YOULL BE OKAY.SHE IS VERY HELPFUL. ASK HER QUESTIONS SO WILL ANSWER THEM! DO HER EXTRA CREDIT.

She keeps you on your toes with frequent tests (a test about every 2 wks, plus pop quizzes) but her teaching style is very clear and easy to understand. I went into 102 without taking 101, and I did fine because she explained everything very thoroughly. Doing the homework is highly recommended, as the same questions end up on the tests.

EXCELLENT TEACHER, Highly Recommended! Lectures are extremely clear and everything she teaches is ON THE TESTS! Go to class, TAKE NOTES and you will have exactly what you need to know for the tests(the book is unnecessary.) Not hard but not easy, requires effort. DO ALL OF THE EXTRA CREDIT! 6 Tests(drops 1)/ 10 Quizzes(drops 2)/ NO H/W turned in.

She's a GREAT professor, probably not the most exciting but that's the topic more than anything. Makes a class usually dreaded really easy to understand. Gotta study to pass the class though!

I took the online fast track class. I didn't know what to expect coming in but I felt the class was overall easy. There are 6 tests and 1 comprehensive final, and weekly discussions. You need to read the book and study a little and you'll be fine. She gives a lot of extra credit for early completion of assignments. This class is very well organized

Friendly, helpful, and a sense of humor. Attendance is not mandatory, but she says if your a few points away from a higher grade, class attendance and participation can make or break you. I HATE ECON, but she makes it bearable. You can even use an older edition of the book! She is great! Ended the class with an A!

Peggy Crane is a master teacher. Her style of teaching is clear, concise, and you know what you should focus on. She is a very helpful, focused and gracious teacher! If you want to slack off take someone else, but if you like to learn and Econ or Business is your major then take Peggy! It isn't hard unless you don't do your HW or come to class!

I took Peggy for both Econ 101 and Econ 102 and she is one of the best teachers that I have had. She made the subject matter very interesting which made is easier to learn. Take notes, do the problem sets, and read your book you will enjoy the class!

She's reasonable. Gives you plenty of help and advice. If you do the homework and pay attention in class, maybe glance in the book, there's no reason you shouldn't pass.

Online course:Study the theory and equations because exams were based off those concepts. If you complete all of the Xtra credit opportunities & study U can easily earn an A. Ask for help and she will gladly explain things in a basic analogy for you to understand. Highly recommended, but double check your exams since I found a few errors in grading

When professor Crane teaches you economics you actually learn it even if you find this stuff boring. Stay on pace with her lecture and review, review, review your notes. You'll have no problems passing, guaran-damn-teed.

Took Econ 102 online fast-track. My first online class and received an A. Does not drop a test/discussion board/etc. But a good teacher online. Has very useful lecture notes. Class is not an easy A but definitely attainable. You do have to read the textbook to earn a good grade.

Just finished her online fast track course. Awesome professor! Easy A if you read all the notes and do ALL of the practice problems. Textbook required and useful if you have trouble understanding the concepts. Highly recommend this professor.

So I decided to take this fast track course during the summer. First online class and it was straightforward. Takes up a lot of time, like any summer class. Extra credit if you do things 3 days before they are actually due and I started a study group and that helped a lot. 6 short essays, 7 discussions,6 essays, syllabus test.Everything x2(500 pts)

She is a wonderful professor. She knows her material and she will answer your questions thoroughly. She does powerpoint lectures for every chapter and offers practice problems for the tests on blackboard. To pass all you have to do is attend class for her lectures and read the chapters. She drops your lowest test score as well! Take her!

Super easy online class, just had to do a discussion board post with 3 replies& one short answer once every other week, as well as a test every other week. Test are straight from the book, so you do need it. But you can buy an older edition (much cheaper) and works just as well. Chance to earn bonus points every assignment for completing early.

One of the best professors I have ever encountered. Clear and concise when describing the material, and very receptive to student questions and concerns. There are numerous exams but if you attention, you'll pass with ease. Also, there is a nice amount of extra credit. Honestly, one of those professors that makes you say, ' Man, she's awesome!'

I took her for both 101 and 102, and I really liked it! She gives 5 exams, and few extra credits which are really helpful to increase your grade. Lecture heavy I'd say, but she makes it fun and takes her time for the students to understand it well. Just make sure to go to every class/lecture and study your notes, for sure it would be an easy one.

Best Econ teacher! At first I was a little scared of taking Econ 101&102 online but I passed both of her classes with a B! I took them fast track btw. Also, read the book it really helps with the tests. I used after taking 3 tests and after I used it my following tests scores went up. She gives 3 extra points for finishing exams early. TAKE HER!

She really prepares you for her tests. If you have more than 96% in the class, you don't have to take the final. The class itself is boring. Just lecture and leave. I always read every ch that we did in the txtbk, which really helped. Some students who didn't read the txtbk did poor on the tests. Read the txtbk, do her online assignments.

90% of everything that will be on the exams is in her lectures, however, the text ties everything together and is needed for the practice test problems. She's really nice and knows how to teach very well. Take her Macro course in class if possible, then take Micro with her either online or in class. In order to get an A take good notes and study.

took her fast track class online. everything on the syllabus is well organize. must respond to three other students on the discussion board. you do use the textbook. also gives extra credit points! just do the db and test and short essays, you'll pass!

Yeah, don't get fooled by the other reviewers. She is indeed hard and not that easy to get an A but not impossible to get it. It's not like she is one those MAS 142 professors Either way, just study hard, take notes, learn the graphs and write the formulas somewhere; math isn't even that difficult. I was very nervous to take this class since it involves math, but wow Prof. Crane is amazing she really made me feel comfertable and taught super well. She is very easy to understand and is always more than happy to answer your questions and helps work with you if your not understanding something.

The lectures are straight forward and clear. All the assignments on canvas are open which means that you can go ahead and complete them ahead of time and maybe finish the course early. There are two extra credit assignments. I really enjoyed taking her online class I will definitely take her again for accounting 102.

The week's work consists of a discussion, a short-answer essay, and a test. Tests are 50 questions long with a time limit of 1 hour exactly. The discussion is very similar to the short-answer essay and can be done with little knowledge. I would skim through the book and would get 76%-98% in the tests. 2 extra credit opportunities are given.

Make sure to read the notes she gives you and just try to participate in class at least once an you will learn most of the material. She is A VERY NICE INDIVIDUAL. She also stays after class if a student needs help.

Peggy is a fantastic Professor, very clear and precise. Her class is easy to pass if you show up, take notes from her PowerPoint, do the pretest practice. Book not really needed unless you miss class and dont have someones contact info for pics of the notes. 5 tests total, if you have a 96% then you dont have to take the final! Take this w/ her!

Mrs Crane is the best Econ Professor in the southwestern college. Although her class is based on tests and 1 assignment, her class is really easy. Just 5 tests and 1 assignment, also the final and two extra credit assignments. After every tests, she leaves you a nice comment. I will take her again for 102

I took professor Peggy's fast track Economics 101 and 102 during the spring 2021 semester and there was not as much HW as I thought. Every week there is a test and discussion, and three mini essay due every two weeks. There is also two extra credits assignments and the professor herself is nice and helpful. Overall I recommend her course.

This was an 8-week class, so be sure to plan ahead. Luckily, she offers various extra credit opportunities. She provides a clear syllabus and the material in lecture is relevant to exams. Overall, she was a great instructor and if you ever needed help or feedback, she would provide that.

The class was well organized. I took her 8 week class. Your grade is based on the work you do, with no opportunities to make them up. Do the discussion boards and tests!

She was clear with her instructions and her expectations. She allowed extensions on discussions or tests so I thought that is good to know. Her tests are based on the information she provides, I took her 8 week online class so it is fast paced as expected and we had a test of 25 questions every Saturday. She's understanding and easy to respect.

Professor Crane is a clear and understanding instructor. Her fast-paced online class has a lot of work, but she allows extensions. The textbook and unstuck study were helpful for study prep.

Just finished the 8 week course and it was smooth! 1 discussion board, 3 replies, 1 test every week with 2 extra credit papers worth 10 points each that consists of 1 paragraph or 2 about how it relates to what chapters we have gone over. The tests are a good portion of your grade and the last question will be a response that will be graded later!

Took the 8 Week online course during Fall 2025 and it was easily manageable. Discussion board questions, quizzes and final. Quizzes and Final are graded upon completion. Never had to have an interaction with her which was great, but I'm sure she's chill 💀. You gotta take the online class for this one!
