Excellent professor. Easy quizzes at the beginning of each class, easy if you read the assignment. You will learn.

I loved taking her class. She tries her best to make learning fun. It is pretty easy though, not much of a challenge if you read your assignments. Very helpful at test time also, and gives great notes in class!!

Good prof. Gave short (though numerous) readings that were interesting and easy to keep up with. Gave multiple choice tests which I found to be wussy, but otherwise a great teach and easy course.

All you need to do is show up to class to take notes. Tests come exactly from notes. Study one night before test for about 3 hours and you have a 100 or 98. You don't even need to buy the book. Nice lady.

she is very clear and she has a good way of teaching writing to make it something that isnt so bad and she lets you pick your own writing topics. and she isnt hard at all

BEST TEACHER EVER. VERY GOOD AT EXPLAINING. TELLS YOU THE POINT THAT WILL BE ON TEST. MORE ABOUT CONCEPTS THAN STUPID POINTS IN THE STORY. Most say that if you can have her don't take american lit. till you can.

She not very friendly. She tends to snap at people and be very picky. For the least part it is not that hard to get a good grade because you get chances to rewrite your papers. She seems to also want to help her students if they come to her.

Ms. Kilgore was awesome. She is really funny and she gets to know her students personally. I did not think her class was hard, but she also does such a good job of teaching the material that it doesn't seem hard even if it is.

I LOVE Ms. Kilgore!! I had her a couple years ago, but she is the best Lit teacher. SHe is sooo kind and helpful. You have to do the readings and the homework..the grade you get is the grade you earn. But she is a WONDERFUL person! EXCELLENT TEACHER!!

Ms. Kilgore was a wonderful teacher. She's very sweet to students who actually do what they're supposed to. It's not a hard class- just do the homework like you know you ought to and write with some idea of punctuation and clarity and it'll be a breeze! And speak up in class, because it's more fun that way!

she is a really sweat nice lady and a good teacher. sometimes it seems like the assignments she gives it kinda repetative. like she will be like write this, now tell how you felt when you wrote it, now tell how you felt about writing about how you felt when you wrote it. overall though she is pretty good.

She is one of the nicest people that I've ever met. She loves her job, and her students. I dreaded this class but ended up loving it. I reccomend taking her for a night class because it is VERY relaxed. This class can be an easy A if you show up,take a few notes, and read the stories...class discussion is fun and her tests are CAKE...take her!!

She is absolutly wonderful. YOu only have about 5 papers and you get to revise 4 of them. She works with you and helps you get the grade you deserve. It's hard to fail her class unless you're just lazy. Get to know her too- she's really sweet and a very interesting person to talk to.

Her class was very intersting to take. She is a really nice teacher. Sometimes her clarity about things is a little off, but other than that I would recommend her.

Wonderful teacher. Mildly ecentric and very funny. She always made class fun and occasionally let class out early. I recommend that everyone take her if you want a wondeful experience and a very easy A. She allows 1 revision on all projects and will look at the project before you turn it in and tell you what grade you will get. TAKE HER!

She structured her class so your group only met once a week, which was awesome, unless you had to turn in a project, then you might have to come the whole week. She is very helpful if you need it. She is so nice if you get to know her. You do have to do your work and your papers have to be cited correctly,but you have time to do it right.

Ms. Kilgore is a wonderful teacher! She is always willing to help you anyway she can. She's not always as consistent, but she gives you a syllabus explaining all turn in dates. Take her class seriously, and you'll make an A.

Ms. Kilgore is certainly not the avereage professor at Tech. Her methods seem pretty odd at first, but they work pretty well for those that put in the effort. You will have to pay close attention as sometimes her instructions arent the clearest, but she is the kind of person that doesnt mind clearing them up. She is a good one to take.

Kilgore is an extraordinary teacher. Literature is based on expression; she wants you to be creative and form your own opinions about stories. She uses foreign films to create well-rounded students. She WILL NOT fail your reports if she doesn't like the film you viewed. You should only take her if you actually want to think. Simple people beware.

She is an excellent teacher. After taking English 1020 and finishing with a C I lost hope but having her as my teacher gave me back my trust to learn. Highly recommended if you like to write and read, specially if you are from another country. She is open to new cultures...very important not to be close minded.

I thought she was a great professor. Had her for 1010 and 1020. She may be crazy at times, but that is what makes her different. Just talk to her, ask what she wants, learn what to do, and you'll do fine in the class. Her papers are a little long and some topics questionable, but just swallow your pride and you'll be fine.

I had her for a American Lit 1 (for non-english majors.) I have to admit, sometimes she can be a pain in the butt, but you have to love this woman. She encourages class participation-- if you don't talk, she gets pissed. So yeah: come to class, participate, study for tests, and you'll do fine. I'd say one of the easier teachers, by far.

She's an interesting person to talk to if you can get along with her. She will go out of her way to help you. The content and readability of your paper actually matters here. If your a half-way intelligent person who can follow simple instructions you'll get an A in this class.

This lady is so sweet. Her requirements are easy (even though they sometimes don't make sense) and we spent almost everyday doing "freewriting" for like 30 minutes. She likes for you to participate...just say a word or two in class and she will be happy. I would recommend her.

she is very helpful. the instructions of each paper are very clear. she always sets aside time for you to ask questions and works with you through any problems you have with writing. she's even helped me with speech class!

Easy class but she definately favors her "international students". my presentation in class was a little short on time and i landed a B, but others who read straight off a paper got an A!

Ms. Kilgore is a very sweet lady, and a very easy professor. If you can take her for any of your required Writing or Literature classes, don't think twice. Do your work, which isn't even much, and get an A.

i almost dropped this class after the first day but am so thankful i didnt...it was so easy just make sure u read the stories and attend class the tests were multiple choice... so easy...second day or so she divides everyone up into groups and each group does a powerpoint... make sure u go on these days tooo cause some info is on the test.she inice

I wasn't to sure about taking Ms. Kilgore to start with. She is really cool though. We have fun in class and she is very helpful. If you don't like funny teachers than don't take her class.. Super easy class though and I would take it again if I could.

do the work just enough and you'll pass. class average was about b+. quite a number of ppl got a's. not much to memorize for exams. presentation of author's bio and poem makes up 1/3 of grade, its not very hard. im a C avg person, got an A in this class.

Mis. Kilgore is great! The class was very interesting. No lecture, really. Just class discussion. She lets you know exactly what's on the exam. Just read, study, and you'll be absolutely fine. You also watch movies and write papers over them, not hard and they're good movies!

I LOVED Ms. Kilgore! She is by far the best professor I've had at Tech! I would take her over and over if I could. Easy daily quizzes. The stories aren't too long or difficult. She gives attendance points sometimes. I highly recommend her! You won't regret it.

Ms. Kilgore's World Literature class was awesome! She had a genuine interest in the material and in the success of her students. She is hilarious and very understanding! I would definitely take her again!!!

This class was interesting and easy. As long as you read the stories (never longer than 15 pages), and attend class for the quizzes an A is easy to achieve.

Her writing class is for New Hall South residents only. She is a great professor who cares about her students. She wants everyone to succeed in her class and encourages all of her students to be creative. Attendance is a must. Class is small. She does not mind people dropping in to her office in the residence hall to talk or discuss projects.

She is a great and hilarious teacher. i plan to take her every chance i get and she truly cares about you no matter what the subject or problems you have.

Ms.Kilgore cares about her students. She is very fun and takes into consideration that you have other classes besides her own. She rarely keeps you in class the full time. If you make time to see her during her office hours it's really helpful for papers! I would recommend her for 1010 and 1020! Her class isn't like every other English class.

She's such a delight! I absolutely love her. She's compassionate, and she knows how to make anyone's day. However, if you're an English major, you may need someone a bit more challenging. I configured that I would make an A with her by the 4th week of the semester. However, I can not say that I regret taking her. She's such a lovely woman!

She is the bomb!!! BUT it's her last semester bc she is retiring which sucks forever everybody bc you would wish you could have her! I love her class and she is so funny! Will def remember her!

This class was an easy class overall if you are willing to work, you have to read a short story before every class and expect a quiz over it in class the next day. It isn't that long of stories and all test are open notes. As long as you read you will make an A

I love professor Kilgore as a person. She is kind, funny, and obviously cares deeply about those around her. I feel like her age and health conditions hinder her ability to be as good of a teacher as she once was. Reading other reviews I anticipated a challenge in her class, but we literally just watched movies. If you take her, be kind to her.

Attendance was 25%. She goes over EVERYTHING on the test and the tests are open-book and open-note. On the last test I read a story while taking it. I love this woman. Easiest A ever but still a good teacher.

She was absolutely my favorite professor I have ever had at TTU. She is an amazing teacher, and an even more amazing human being. She would walk around the class of about 60-65 students and personally talk to each of us to make us feel welcome. She's very smart and kind. If you have a chance, please taker her class. You will be glad you did.

I took her world lit class and it was the best. we had no writing assignments but instead we just read a few short stories each week and discussed them in class. Nearer to the end of the semester we started watching movies instead. we only had 2 tests but they where pretty easy.

Ms. Kilgore is the most amazing teacher you will ever have in your life. She is sweet, energetic, and utterly passionate about everything you watch or read. If you have to have a literature class, you NEED to take her World Lit class. Very little reading and a lot of movie watching. It's seriously the best. Attendance is 25% of your grade.

Peggy Kilgore was by far the best professor I have ever taken at TTU, she was fun and made me actually want to go to class. Attendance is only 10% of your grade so you can miss, just don't make it a habit.
