SHes a fun, hip teacher that knows what shes talking about she never misses class and she is light hearted yah the tests are hard but its college! I would definately recommend her shes great

You gotta be very willing to learn and study to take this class with her, but if you are, you will get a lot out of it! She's very nice and very challenging.

good teacher, fun and effective. Mrs Romeo employs a variety of teaching methods including lectures, power-points and labs. She also used web ct for our class so all power-points were easily accessible for studying and students could log on and receive grades on weekends and off class days. Quizzes were hard but tests were very straight forward.

Dr.Romeo is an awesome professor! Your grade is determined by a number of things inc. projects,quizzes, and participation ( NOT just exams).. Her powerpoints are very helpful. She makes the information very easy to understand. Her quizzes and tests come directly from the lecture notes and powerpoints. I would reccomend her to ANYONE

She is AWESOME! Very funny - very understanding and helpful! She takes difficult info and breaks it down to manageable chunks! Take good notes! Never looked at the book. Listen and rewrite your notes from class and you will be fine! She gives great examples to help you remember concepts.

I had her for Honors level Biology, and she was great!!!! Rarely used the book, but her lectures and powerpoints were awesome!! Totally get this teacher if you can.

study the POWER POINTS ONLY. i tried the first half of the semester to do the study guide she gives you. i could never get past a C. after that, i studied the power points. i got A's from there on out. when there is a quiz, study that section of power points, when the test comes you will already familiar with it and you won't have to study as hard.

She was very helpful and easy to understand. She gives you powerpoints and hangouts for the exams. There are no suprises to what was studied in class vs. what's on the exam. she'll help you out anytime you ask for it. she gives lots of extra credit if you need it. I recommed her highly! :)

Great teacher! I really enjoyed her SW Florida Environments class and would strongly recommend both her and the class to others. Take her if you can!

Professor Romeo is pretty good. She is knowledgeable, attendance is mandatory though because most of what you're tested on is her lectures and power points. I didn't open the book once in this class and still got an A. Take good notes and do ALL of the assignments and it'll be fine.

If you want honors credit, take her honors class! It is the same class as the regular class only there is more individual attention because the class size is much smaller. Don't bother buying the expensive text book. We only used it once or twice and you can get by without it just as easy. GREAT professor. Highly recommended!

This class is very interesting.. man and the environment. Almost every other class is a field trip, there isn't any homework only one project that is easy and she gives you the semester to do. She posts powerpoints and your current grade all semester. Definatly need your book for this class and is recommended. Oh and no cumulative exam.

If you like field trips take her class. It was almost too much. I thought the class was more "preachy" than informative, but it was not difficult. Several writing assignments.

Took class and lab on-line. She does all she can to emphasize the material and what to study. Follow powerpoints and lectures more than textbook. Need textbook for detail clarification and reference for midterm and final. If it is in her lecture, you need to make sure you understand it and know it.

She is very clear on what you need to know. Tests are multiple choice but keep in mind she makes them tricky to where more than one sounds right. You will need to study notes and powerpoints to make sure you understand the material. Her class consists of 3 tests,around 4 quizzes and an essay. Final is optional just make sure you do good on tests.

Ehh, good professor. Class consisted of 4 tests and I believe 4 quizzes. Final exam is optional. Tests are a bit difficult, but if you take good notes and study those powerpoints, you'll do fine. She's nice, and very helpful. Just don't text in her class. I only used the textbook once for a writing assignment. Passed the class with a B!

Finally an online professor from Edison that actually teaches and gives input, instead of read the book, take the quiz, repeat next week. Lectures are on iTunes. I took the class in the mini-semester and while it is a lot of information to cover in six weeks, it wasn't too difficult. Read the book, but STUDY the powerpoints and you will do fine.

Professor was knowledgable about the subject matter and made it easy to understand with her powerpoints, and itunes which were helpful. Test are kinda hard so study and ask questions in class. Overall a good teacher I recommend her if you really want to learn about biology.

She is a good helpful professor. She is not that kind of professor that will baby you through this class. You basically have to study her powerpoints and specially go over her itune because if it wasnt with it I would off not passed her class. And use her office hours before the quizes/test if you can to have your mine fresh about the information.

Good professor, knows her stuff. Clear lectures. Tests are hard, the questions can be a bit vague or indepth. You can't just memorize the general concepts. Know the material well.

Nice teacher. Her test are not simple like the quizzes, but they aren't too bad. If you are not a good test taker then you will need to put forth quite a bit of effort though. Her lectures are not bad, but they can be dry. She is an overall good professor if you want to learn a thing or two, just make sure you look at her PPs for clarification.

GREAT PROFESSOR! She clarifies everything so crisp, her notes literally spoonfeed you what you need to know, as long as you are actively paying attention in class. Her quizzes are straightforward, but her tests require a little biological interpretation, you just need to know the material. I highly recommend her!! I learned so much! :)

This is a class for adults and expect to be treated as such. If you do what you are supposed to do, you will not have a need for extra credit. Test are fair and designed to let the professor know that you know the material. This is the only class I received less than an A, but I am not going to whine about what I EARNED for a grade.

This was one of the hardest classes. It is never a good idea to take a science class on line!You will not save any time, because you will have to study the book on your own all the time. Professor was pretty helpful and no surprises on the tests, especially if you studied online practice exams.

Besides the lectures being a little fuzzy and hard to hear without listening to them in a quiet room, this was by far an awesome experience. She is fast to respond, helpful, and hands you everything you need to succeed. If you apply yourself you will do well. Study study study!

This was a very difficult class. I made an A but was the hardest A ever. You will need to study very hard prior to test. That being said she is a very nice person and does know her stuff. She will give you everything you need to know to get an A. Only class i really feel like i LEARNED the material not just remembered it for the test. Satisfying

Biology 2 is so much easier than 1! I recommend Professor Romeo class. Her tests are not easy and wording sometimes pretty confusing, but overall not a bad class. Study her power points and do not waste your money buying a book!

Great proff. She is very understanding to the little knowledge you may have about the subject and is very into it. You will def learn alot, just make sure you go to class.... WITHOUT YOUR CELL PHONE. Seriously, you will get caught and its pointless because shell deduct points from your grade.

Prof. Romeo is a great teacher. If you are thinking about buying the book, DON'T! She has everything you need to know on her power point. Don't miss her class because she says little things in her lecture that are on the test. I took her for bio 1 and 2 and I loved it. It is not an easy A but if you study and work for it, it can be an easy A.

I have NEVER seen a teacher put in the time and effort that this women does! She's amazingly devoted to her job a students. Put in the study time and you'll pass with flying colors. She's so funny too. Makes class exciting and will answer any questions you may have, no matter how off topic they may be. A lot of extra credit which makes passing EASY

I would not recommend taking this class online. It seemed like no matter how hard I studied I was not prepared for the tests. She gave 8-10 points extra credit for each test and final because we all did so poorly. (I talked to other students in the class and most bombed her tests) Poor videos lectures too. Choose another professor if you can!!

I took this course last semester online. I didn't find it easy but I was also out of school over 10 years. However, I thought she was very well knowledged in the material. Her powerpoint lectures were clear and very informational. Yes, she would ramble here and there but explained material well. I barely ever went to the book except when I didnt u

Took her for spring bio 1. Great professor overall and very good with the subject material. Very helpful always ready to answer a question in great detail. She will make you work for a good grade though and tests are somewhat difficult and long. You will also get a quiz pretty much every week but they help. You will need to study for her class.

Romeo's tests are very tricky, definitely need to study, but her reviews are helpful. She DOES NOT give any extra credit whatsoever. We had 6 quizzes (fairly easy) 4 exams and a final, NO DROPPED GRADES. Attendance is not mandatory but if you don't attend you probably will fail. Don't buy or rent textbook, don't need it.

As long as your respectful of her time she will always be there to help and make accommodation. Expect tests and quizzes if the class does not collectively do well on test. Listen to her lectures, take notes, use her PP's as information to pass tests and exams. No text book needed.

I needed this class as a pre requisite for micro and it's tough! Maybe it's because I took it online. The study guides that she gives don't touch on the questions on the tests. Throughout the semester she had to add 10 extra points to each test because we all did so bad. She as a professor is very nice and very helpful.

I regret taking this class online. Her tests don't reflect the study guide. No matter how hard I studied I've done horrible on exams, which is shocking because I do well on the assignments. As others mentioned she's had to add points because everyone did so poorly. Oh, and absolutely no notes on tests. I will not take her again.

Organized and ready to go, efficient. Lectures with power-points, and makes her lectures interesting. Has a sense of humor, attendance is part of the grade but understands that you can't always make it, no homework just show up to class. Four exams and four assignments.

Dr. Romeo is really energetic and passionate about her field. Lectures and exams are from powerpoints. Answers any questions, loves when people are actively engaged, and explains material really well. Take advantage of office hours to review exams or ask ANY questions. NO tolerance for cell phones, ipads, ect... Pen and paper only.

Definitely a more difficult professor, but I have learned so much from her class. If you're seriously interested in biology, I would definitely recommend taking her. She is very passionate about what she teaches and always cleared up all my questions. She's pretty tough on attendance and tardiness (and phones), but the class is totally worth it.

I took Dr. Romeo for BSC1010 and BSC1011. Not so interesting lectures, and long multiple choice tests, but as long as you study you're guaranteed an A or B

I took her class online and even though the tests have been tough, it is more because just don't like Biology. She has graded all our tests with a curve, so, I have gotten better than I deserve on the tests, which I am thankful for! On all the other assignments, she has given me high marks....I would take her again-but I still don't like Biology.

This professor has taught for many years. Sometimes she will get a bad review because she takes attendance and won't let you have phones out, but it isn't hard to get an A or B in her class. She will do a jeopardy review where you can earn up to 10 extra points that are put toward your exam grade. She is very pleasant and will work with you.

Awesome professor! She teaches the material in a way that makes sense and you can understand! I HIGHLY recommend taking her class, you won't regret it.

She was a very good professor! She's really fun and makes class interesting. She makes sure that everyone understands the content and won't move on until everyone is on the same page. We always go over what's going to be on tests to prepare for them. Attendance isn't mandatory but I don't advise skipping class. STUDY FOR TESTS OR YOU WON'T PASS!

Love Professor Romeo! She will answer any questions you have and seems to care about her students. The tests were moderately difficult; just be sure to study. Also, reading the textbook was not required, though I definitely recommend doing so for this class! It helps make everything discussed in class make sense, and really fills in the details.

The best professor you could hope for for a class like 1011. It covers a lot of material, and it is easy to get lost in all the animal phyla. Her lectures are all online day one, with practice quizzes (Which some are exam questions). She makes class interesting and tries to get the class to participate. This class is a cake walk with her. 10/10

Dr. Romeo's lectures are some of the longest lectures I've ever sat through. The material isn't the most exciting, but she covers it all thoroughly and the labs are fairly interesting. There's one group project and one of the labs is a field trip and she gives a ton of extra credit to make up for anything. Overall, if you study you'll do great.

I've taken her multiple times for bio related classes. She's a good teacher and the class is relatively easy. There's usually one test a week (which is easy) and a discussion posting. Assignments are varied so it's fun and she provides plenty of videos to explain things. If you aren't good at bio, take her. She makes it easy to pass.

Online course, very intense. Quiz and test must study! A lot to read! If you study you can definitely pass! Gives practice quizzes and other fun activities to help study. She drops no grades, shes good but you have to study everything ! And look at you module everyday if not youll fall behind . There couple of assignment s 200-250 words.

Tests are difficult. Lots of memorization. Study ahead of time when you can. 4 exams including a final total 5. Has quizlet available use them for vocab and practice quiz. Lectures are long depending on the topic. Group project is interesting. Labs are fun. A field trip is included. Lots of quizzes and few discussions assignments on canvas.

She's a great professor. Her guidelines are clear and straightforward. If you follow her rules and attend class, you will love her. If you break her phone rule, she's not shy about pointing it out in class. Don't be embarrassed, just put the phone away. Everything is announced and extra credit is given, just study for tests. Tests are bit tough.

I took this class as an online class, and it was one of the easiest classes I have taken. All you have to do is the work which is really the basic minimum. I was even able to complete classes two to three weeks ahead of time if I wanted too. Honestly, all you have to do is do the work and you'll pass. You don't even need the textbook too.

I was scared to retake Biology online, but I felt good reassure from Professor Romero. Online Biology is not as hard as it seems. She responds very quickly if you have any questions. Make sure you go through all the modules so you can learn. She has her own quizlets she creates so you can study them. Her 2 exams are proctored so be prepared before.

Prof. Romeo is a very caring teacher, her lectures always take all class long to the minute. Tests are heavy and can be a bit confusing despite studying so doing a double-take on your answers is recommended. Quizzes can either make or break you, but it keeps you on your toes in time for the exams. Getting an A is easy but challenging.

If you're good with taking online classes, then I recommend taking Professor Romeo. There are assignments due every week, all pretty straight-forward. Romeo definitely does not baby you in this class, so it's your responsibility to stay on top of everything. The textbook and lectures she posts are going to be your best-friend. 4 proctored tests.

Prof. Romeo is very strict with her grading, but very straight forward with her assignments. GET HIGH POINTS on her lecture questions, these points can make a big difference at the end of the semester and can make or break or final grade. The weekly quiz is easy if you read her material. There is no extra credit, 3 assignments per week on average.

Pleasant professor. If you learned what was in the textbook, this course was an easy A. She even let me resubmit a project that I made a major mistake with after the due date. Made you situate your camera weird for Proctorio though. She wanted to see the side of your face and the laptop screen.. took forever to set up.

The class consists of 19 Lecture presentations (which add up to an exam grade), 19 quizzes, and 4 exams (one of them being a cumulative final). I finished the class with a 79.24% and was three points away from a B, but when final grades came out I saw a final grade of a B. Don't rely on this but you can really show that she cares about her students

Professor Romeo was a great instructor! She posted videos introducing every chapter breaking down what it consisted of before beginning. You just have to do YOUR PART. STUDY! Study before taking quizzes or tests because they are short timed. If you actually take the time to do your work, you don't have to worry.

Very manageable workload. One presentation/ video lecture (10-20 mins) each week to study, plus one assignment - discussions, infographic, pictures - nothing crazy or difficult. Received full points on all assignments, she is very fair. Responded to emails within the same day. Quizzes every 2 weeks, only 15 MC questions. No midterm or final.

This is a great course to take if you do not need a lab. Mostly just one assignment due at the beginning of the week with one lecture video, and a practice quiz that isn't graded. I usually completed all the work within 2-3 hours the day before it was due with minimal effort. No midterm or final. Easy grader, no feedback.

Dr. Romeo is great! Excellent, interesting, funny lectures with lots of photos/examples. Friendly voice and knowledgeable! WATCH THE LECTURES, DON'T JUST READ THE SLIDES!! Very quiz/test heavy; KNOW the material, don't just memorize. Do the study guides; they help a LOT! Does NOT give extra credit/bump grade! 100% take her class!

Overall great professor & class to take.1 assignment based on what we learned each week, & a quiz every few weeks. She posts videos & quizzes to help you learn. The only thing I didn't like was that the assignments/quizzes were due on Mondays. Other than that, I really enjoyed her class, & it was super easy, considering it was an online bio class.

In my experience, Dr. Peggy Romeo was a great professor. Gentle-spoken, but straight to the point. Some of her online lecture videos were tedious to take notes with from being over 30 minutes long, but she covered each module well enough for me to grasp each chapter's material. Lots of reading, too. I wouldn't mind taking Biology II with her.

Assignments were fairly easy; it was almost impossible not to get a 100 on them if you read her rubric. Her quizzes and tests do not line up with her lecture material very consistently, so I recommend doing all of her study guides as well as carefully taking notes on what she SAYS in the presentation in addition to the words on the slides.

Dr. Romeo was a great professor. In her online BSC1005 there were lecture videos, reading, and assignments each week. Some of the assignments were labor-intensive but not hard. There were no midterm or final in her class. There were unit quizzes throughout but not a cumulative final. I would recommend taking her class.

Professor Romeo's class is well-structured and manageable. The weekly assignments and quizzes are straightforward, and unstuck ai proved helpful for preparing. As long as you engage with the material, you're likely to do well.

This is my second time taking her and she is AMAZING. I believe anyone that has given her a poor rating has just been too lazy to do any of the work. She is extremely fair in grading and is so sweet. I love her so much.

I had Professor Romeo's blended course this semester. There are weekly assignments that include a 10 question quiz and sometimes a worksheet. Don't miss a test because there's no way to make it up. There are no makeup quizzes as well. There is also no extra credit provided. The work isn't time-consuming. Study guides are provided for each test.

Not sure why theres so many bad reviews... I took her and she was fine. There were so many assignments I got a 49/80, 51/80, 52/80, and 53/80 on my exams and still passed with a B-. The exams are not really like the study guides though and I had to channel any knowledge I had from high school biology. Attendance isn't mandatory which is nice
