Dr Russell is crazy and PHAT! She makes the subject matter very interesting and she is extremely knowlegeable. Loved the class and made A's on test's but most people made 70's. Study what she tell's you and you'll do fine. Don't cram you do horribly. Her tests are application so need to understand your stuff.

Very nice and helpful instructor. Her lectures are fun and participative and you actually retain the info long after the class is over. Some chapters are harder than others and the paper guidelines were vague to me (later realized: so much freedom with it, seriously it was great) but overall I'd say she's one of the best professors at the school.

Dr. Russell is an AWESOME teacher. First day of class she read the syllabus in an english accent. She cares about how you do and explains something until she's sure you understand it. I never used the book, printed out all the slides and highlighted what she said was on the test..got an A. I recommed her to anyone I know that's taking Pyschology

You really have to know your stuff, but it is possible. The spacing effect proves true, again, when it comes to studying for her test. No doubt, I am getting an A in her class.

Dr. Russell is a great teacher. She is very outgoing and keeps the class very interesting with her fun stories. She cares about the students and makes it almost impossible to not do good in the class. I enjoyed the class and never missed a day and recieved an A without having to buy the book. Take her!

I heard about Dr. Russell and decided to take her even though I live in Vero. I am so glad I did. She was awesome. Knew her stuff and made what I thought was going to be a hard boring class into my favorite one of the semester. Other students drove further than me to take her. This is probably the easiest class you can take. As long as you put effort into your study guides, do the quizzes and pay attention in class everything will be easy. Anyone that says the tests are hard probably didn't do the study guide which even adds extra credit points to your tests. She cares for you to do well and gives good remembering skills

My frst online class and it was great. I took the 8 week class and it was intense but expectations were very clear and she provided fast help by email and phone. I am signed up for her online human development class this summer. I would love to take her in person because she seems really funny but I work and have kids. no time....

Plus the psychportal learning curves & mastery quizzes make it impossible to fail. If you do the study guide, you WILL PASS HER TESTS. Plus she always keeps us laughing.

I had Miss Russell before and I was disappointed because her class was full so I had to sign up for her online class. It was organized, had online activities so it didn't get boring. I would still rather take her in person because she is funny, but I really enjoyed the online class. She didn't leave you out there hanging like some teachers do.

Loved it! She includes personal examples while lecturing, which gives better understanding. Super funny and corny. If you miss a class, she records herself and posts it on Angel for you to listen to. Book is never used (eBook is available). If she didn't get her dose of coffee, keep your distance lol. Overall AMAZING professor.

Easy A. when writing the paper be sure to follow rubric she really grades leniently you just have to prove a grasp of the concepts. tests are easy multiple choice. homework is great prep for tests and she leaves good breathing room. You could skim by on the online quizzes and still get full credit by the end of the semester.

Dr. Russell's tests were easy as long as you study the study guide she gives you. The connect assignments could make or break you. I loved that she called me the week before grades posted and let me know that i was a few points away from an A, she re-opend some assignments so that i could complete them and get an A for the semester :)

My 3 hour class felt like 30 minutes. I didn't find myself watching the clock because she is so interesting. By far the best class taken at IRSC. Hilarious, understanding, respected, accessible, passionate and understanding. Truly an amazing professor.

I took this online during a summer semester - so, super condensed and no face to face - Prof Russell's available online lectures were great - all the videos and PowerPoints posted were the tools necessary to do well. She was VERY clear and offered terrific study guides! It was not an "easy A" - there is a lot of material - but a great course

I took her class online in the summer and it was very fast paced. Lots of reading, and all the homework and quizzes are online. Three exams required, but study guide is given for each one. As long as you study and understand the terms/concepts on the study guides you will get an A! She is really friendly and responds quickly to emails

I took this class in a summer and got an A. She provides ECHO lectures on all material. I read each chapter and put the work in. I really enjoyed her analogies when explaining something she could compare to real life. Fairly easy tests if you do the work. Great teacher!

I didn't have much interaction with my professor since I took Intro. to Psych. online, but she gave great feedback on my tests. Answers to the homework were straight from the textbook 90% of the time, so reading was definitely helpful. The course itself was very intriguing and mildly easy to understand.

I took this class online so I didn't get much interaction with my professor but whenever I emailed her she was always so quick to respond and very friendly. I used her echo 360 videos to fill all the study guides to study for the exams and did just fine. Very interesting class.

LOVE HER! I've never met a teacher that truly cares for her students like professor Russell, she's a little crazy but it keeps your attention and makes the class interesting, I wish all of my teachers were as amazing as her. always answers emails quickly and nicely , always gives a great study guide for each test! attendance is mandatory.

She provides a list of due dates from day 1 which is extremely accurate. As long as you come to class, pay attention, and write down what she says you will pass. The class is not too hard and she provides a lot of real like examples for different terms that you'll need to know which is awesome. She's extremely nice and understanding with everyone.

She is the best professor i have ever had i would 11/10 recommend shes very clear easy to get a hold of. her lectures are very funny, you will not get bored she will get you laughing. this is the only college class that i'm really learning and applying it to real life situations.

Professor Russel is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is very kind & is always there to help! Her tests are very easy if you study the study guide. Whats on the study guide is exactly the test. & people complaining about the hw, the online hw isnt her fault. The website is an IRSC thing that ALL Psych teachers have to use.

Professor Russell is an amazing teacher. She is very kind, and will help you if you need any. The tests are super easy if you study and do the the study guide she provides. The hw was annoying, but not too hard. Also, with the hurricane she decided to give a substitute assignment instead of a paper, and that was really nice. 11/10 would take again.

Dr. Russell is very outgoing, cheerful and alway positive. The work she assigns is pretty easy, but if you don't study or know the material the tests can be very challenging. She always shares funny stories during her lectures and always gives very specific examples/details so that we clearly understand the material. 10/10 recommend!

Although she gives out a lot of homework, they're easy and quick to do. She follows the syllabus and is very caring about her students. She gives out a lot of examples and clear instructions for every assignment she gives out. I would highly recommend taking her classes.

Prof. Russell was awesome. Simple class online if you do the work. MUST listen to all online lectures from face to face classes in order to pass exams. She will give you all info needed for study guide in the lectures, if its not on the study guide its not on exams. Lots of tedious homework, but easy. She was very helpful & responsive to emails.

Very funny and responds to e-mails almost immediately. Be sure to put aside time to finish the work on Connect but other than that, would totally take again.

Peggy is hands down the best professor Ive had so far. You can tell she loves her job. She does everything she can in her power to make sure her students pass. Her lectures are never boring because she always makes sure to slide some jokes and activities in them.

What an absolutely amazing teacher. Dr. Russell appeals to every kind of learning. She tells amazing example stories that really instills what we are learning into our minds. She brings so much positive energy into the classroom and it was a joy to hear her lectures and see her enthusiasm about teaching us. Even her recorded lectures are hilarious.

Awesome Professor! If you need to take a Psychology class defiantly take it with her. There is a lot of homework but it only helps prepare you for the test. Bring study guide to class and take notes based off of it. Will make your life easier. Lectures are great and hilarious.

Comes off as crazy at first, but awesome teacher. An online connect code required. Cheaper to get straight from website. Dont procrastinate connect assignments. Lectures are fun. Tests are somewhat hard, but easy if you dont procrastinate studying. Study guides given and help a lot. Takes attendance and inputs it at end of semester for grading.

I took intro to psych online. She had recordings of all her lectures online so it's like going to class. LISTEN TO THE LECTURES! She includes test question examples and do the study guide! If you have a busy schedule I would recommend this online. I received a 95% and would study like a day before the test.

Cool class, only took it for credit. Super understanding and sweet. Knows her stuff, but you do have to study and understand to pass.

Very communicative, creates an environment of understanding and explains every concept so that it is easily understood - which means she easily understands the concepts herself. She is intelligent and kind, cares about her students, even if they are online. She goes the extra mile. Really enjoyed her lectures and her examples.

I loved Dr. Russell's class! She is amazing and knows what she's talking about. I took her PSY2012 class online and it was super easy. As long as you listen to her recorded lectures (highly recommend) and do the connect assignments (which are also super easy) you will get an easy A. Very communicative, hilarious, and kind. Nice professor. Has video lectures online which are easy to understand, and entertaining to watch. Minimal homework each week. Lecture and HW takes about 3 hours or less each week so very convenient. There is a CTA project which is also very easy and takes minimal time. Can accommodate personal issues for extensions. Recommend and easy to contact.

Professor Russell by far is the best professor that I have ever had. I wish she had more classes because I would love to be her student again! I had her for an online course and she was the most interactive online professor. Unlike many instructors, she actually posted video lectures. She was very quick to respond to emails, and shes hilarious!

Used text app to send reminders and check on us. Clear instructions and feedback. The class site was really bad so she got our opinian on what would help and redid it. Her video talks are really funny and help me learn the stuff for the tests.

Dr Russell was a great professor who really cared about her students. She understands that her students have lives outside of school. She responded to me with in 12 hours. The class was very lecture heavy but most where very interesting they did not count to my grade but they were very helpful. I only wish i took in person. I took it in half summer

I liked this professor for psychology, she made the content easy to understand and made us all have some laughs. Easily accessible through the Remind app, and gives you credit for showing up and doing your work. Gives you study guides outlining everything that's on the test. Homework was tedious and boring in my opinion.

The class itself was INCREDIBLY easy, but you do have to read a lot. There are three tests total, the first one counting more points than the other two. Even without heavy studying I managed to get As and Bs on them. However, this was because I read all the chapters needed. So, PLEASE READ! If you do this, an A in the class is almost guaranteed.

Dr. Russell is AMAZING. She uses personal and real life stories to make the learning so much easier. She is so funny that it makes remembering things so much easier because you remember the antics. I would definitely take one of her classes again.

Professor Russell is fantastic! I took this course online and even though I do not really like psychology, she made leaning the material very easy. She posts all of her in class lectures so that you are able to hear and see as if you were in class. Very funny, caring, and super interactive with the class. Definitely would take her class again!

I would not recommend PSY2012 as an A/B term, this course has a lot of information and you can easily fall behind if you miss one assignment. Although this professor is lovely and very sweet. You can tell she cares.

Dr. Russell is incredible. She truly cares for you as well as the content being taught. I took this class as an online summer A course, so it was very fast paced. Not the easiest A, but the best professor I've had. She's easy to get ahold of and will respond when in need of help. Many lectures and hard work, but hands down best professor ever.

Dr. Russell was a great professor and she was one of my first at IRSC. This class was very interesting and fun to take. Unfortunately I had some mental problems during that class which distracted me from getting a higher grade. Other than that, she can be counted on for a push!

The BEST! She is so kind and understanding. I had her as my first college professor and she set such a great first impression! Her lectures were long and I was worried that I would easily lose focus but I never did, she is such an entertaining person! She always has a relatable story that ties back to the curriculum and the assignments are simple!

Dr. Russel does have a course that is very lecture heavy and sometimes there is references made in the lectures that are on tests, however if you know your material, the tests are really easy. She uses Reminder as her main form of communication and she's super lenient with grading and deadlines (with reason). Only 3 writing assignments (DBs).

She offers very good feedback and is also available for voice chat/ video in regard to assignments or test prep. Read her prompts very carefully; I would go as far as to say keep the prompt or rubric pulled up on screen while doing the assignment. She also reopens old textbook assignments and offers extra credit. One of the best professors I've had

Prof. Peggy was one of the best professors I have ever had. She was super funny and made sure we knew the material. Pay attention to the lectures, she uses stories told during the lectures in her exams. An entire portion of homework was for extra credit so it is almost impossible to fail if you just do the work.

I'm late with my rating but I took this class Spring 2024. Dr.Russell is an amazing professor ! Her lectures are funny and relatable. Listening to her lectures and taking notes is key! She literally gives you the answers to her exams in conversation. She is willing to help! Take notes , study and ask questions! Every professor should be like her!

I've seen a lot of reviews saying that her lectures are interesting. Let me elaborate further. She will routinely make a spectacle of herself to demonstrate a concept. This is not only hilarious and makes class fun to attend, it also really makes the concepts stick. Moreover, her expectations are clear and she gives extra credit opportunities.

Professor Russell was a very good professor. Her lectures kept you very interested. there was a good amount of connecting homework but LOTS of extra credit. I had a B for a very long time in the class, but in the end, with all the extra credit I had done, it was 110%. study guides are just like the tests. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT.

Professor Russel truly changed my view on college. Shes passionate about teaching, she has amazing lectures, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her students and their success. She engages with everyone and gives helpful feedback. I took psych 2012 with her, but I believe any class she teaches would be enjoyable and worthwhile.
