If you are good in math and study very hard, then online college algebra won't be that bad.

She gives five extra credit points towards your test if you do your homework. I failed college algebra the first time I took it. Now I have a 97%. the class is SUPER easy as long as you go and do 1/2 the homework. shes really nice and care a lot.

The course is a simple online interface.My only concern is this course is entirely online and very much time consuming. Some of the course work that I did not learn or review in Intermediate Algebra, caused me to spend well over the 9 hours that requires me to complete these assignments. Other that that Instructor Mazarakis is "peachy!"

I wish she taught every math course I have to take. She is real good with explaining concepts other math instructors just assume you know or just dont know how to explain on a laymans level.

Excellent professor. Her notes and homework she assigns prepares anyone for success on chapter tests and final exams. Would recommend her to anyone. I never did well in math in high school and after taking this class and ending up with a 96% I have a lot more confidence in my ability to succeed in math.

Mrs. Mazarakis is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. She explains everything in depth and then moves on. She is very efficient with her time. The tests are easier than the homework, so as long as you do your homework.....there is no reason you shouldn't pass.

She's very funny and enthusiastic about the subject and her class has been a lot of fun thus far. I scored A's on my first two tests and have basically guaranteed myself AT LEAST a B at this point.. She always has a smile on her face, and she LOVES math, which rubs off on you, even if you hate it (like i did).. I definitely reccomend taking her for any class! Excellent teacher in many ways. She teaches very clearly, and is willing to help you with any question you have in a nice manner. Tests are actually quite easy if you study, but watch out for the final. I had an 86 and got a D on the final and brought my final grade to a 78.8 C :[

If you do the homework, which she gives 5 extra credit points for per chapter (5 chapters, 25 points) which get put toward your test. Plus she drops your lowest test score. 5 tests and the final. She gives you way more then enough time to complete the homework. I would definitely take her for any math class!

One of the best teachers I have ever learned from. You can't say that about every teacher you have, only the special ones, and she is definitely one of the greats in my book. I was expecting to not do good in this class since I suck at Math. I got an easy A. She makes it fun, and if you sit in the front, pay attention, do your homework, its easy A.

Ms. Mazarakis is the best math teacher Ive ever had, period. I really struggle with the subject, but she is so enthusiastic about it that it rubs off on you. She does lots of examples and if you do the homework she gives you 5 extra credit points on your test. She is great!!!!

She makes her classes soooooooo easy. Honestly I finished stats with a 99%. What I didn't like was that she seemed to repeat herself and gives away answers to the test- she acts like everyone is so dumb. She also doesn't write her own test, which makes things very confusing when you go to take the test. Overall, easy but kind of annoying

Great professor. She is very helpul and nice. The only thing i did not like is her class made me feel like I was back in high school. She has pop quizzes which helps grade and grades the homework assignments.

I needed trig for physics and never thought I would pass but not only did I pass I understood the material! You have to come to class and take good notes! But she is real good.

She's really sweet & will help you whenever you need it. She doesn't do the standard lectures, everything is on mymathlab. Every test is parallel to reviews and she'll help you on tests and anytime on the weekend, Just email her. She is quick to respond to the emails as well. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!

This teacher is amazing!!! Sweetest lady ever. She makes trig so much fun. You come to class, take notes, study your notes, and do the hw and you will get an A. She grades tests and quizes super quick (within an hour or two). The only issue is that she writes fairly quick and moves fast, so sometimes it's hard to write the notes down.

INCREDIBLE. I HATED, absolutely ABHORRED math classes until I took this great teacher. Very passionate in teaching, quirky and kind! Go to class everyday, study the notes she goes over in class because they are usually the same questions on quiz/test. She's always there to help too!! Easy!Taking her again this summer!

This class was difficult for me. The teacher did not require much from you which made it easier. I really had no contact with the teacher what so ever, but I'm sure they would have been helpful if I needed it. I recommend using this professor.

NEVER SKIP A CLASS. She does not give out any notes, so unless you have a good friend who is taking that class with you who writes GOOD notes, you better be in class. Overall good teacher, good course. She drops the lowest test score and replaces it with your final exam grade. (: Passed with a 98 A. But I like math. You have to STUDY!

Best math professor ever ! She is one of the two best math professors I have ever dealt with. I took her early in the morning and she really did try to get us into the mood and wake up, even if her personal life was filled with stress she set that all aside. Her class is super easy and straight forward, I giggled here and there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!

Best Teacher ever!! Every single question on test came from notes.. reviews everything. Funny so sweet. I never made under a 100 or any of the test. Final was exactly the same as the review just different numbers. You would have to try extremely hard to fail this class. Best teacher ever hands down!!

I WISH all professors were like this one.Great Class. Instructor gives you all the tools need to pass. You will need to use other resources for some assignments. I personally did not like the book, a pdf, but if you complete all assignments, test, discussions and projects ( do exactly as instructed) you should not receive a grade no lower than a B.

I would not say she is an 'incredible' professor. She expects a little too much. She is passionate about math, she loves it, but she does not realize that not everyone likes math. It does not come easy for some. And that made it a little difficult.. Also, no extra credit or opportunities. Dry class

Very awesome professor that actually enjoys what she does. I've taken more than one of her classes and she manages to make the material make sense. Work isn't overbearing, only problem was the one chance on online homework assignments. Very friendly and willing to help one-on-one when needed.

She loves what she does and that's the best part of learning from her. If you ask a question, she'll go through great lengths to answer it and will make sure you understand before she moves on. Homeworks are short and not too many tests. She also has a review day right before a test day which is super helpful. Very enthusiastic, and very nice.

I at first had a rough time with the course and emailed her that I was going to drop. She took time and called me and helped me tackle the course correctly! She was nice and very helpful. I guess all you need to do is ask for help and she will respond;-)

Professor Mazarakis may be by far the most helpful teacher I've ever had in my life. BUT she lectures solely off of students giving her questions to go over in the beginning of class. I did not find this easy. She does not "teach" the material, she answers the questions that are given to her. How do I have questions if I haven't been taught?!

Blended class. Attendance was not mandatory except for final and midterm. She is very nice and always willing to help. She's getting her PhD in math so she knows her stuff. You use My Math Lab but she explains everything clearly. She is a fantastic teacher and I'm taking her again for Trig in the fall. She made me love math again. She's awesome!

This class was not for me. I'm a 4.0 student and normally don't find courses too challenging. As a college student, I expect to be able to learn in my own way. If hours of online work through MyMathLab is how you learn, this course is for you. I barely got an A on material I thoroughly knew because of all the online work in this course. Avoid.

As someone who is not a math person I was really bummed when I learned I had to take trig. Professor Mazarakis is such a great person though, always willing to help and very nice. The downside is a lot of self teaching through my math lab but I think most all schools teach trig this way now. Gives reviews with questions right from midtermfinal.

She always has a smile on her face, and is very nice to students. The homework, tests, and quizzes are all online. The exams are set up by her, so they are much easier than the homework. Her example questions are like that of the exam. I would not skip a class.

The Prof. was very kind, attendance doesn't matter, although you are basically teaching yourself on mymathlab, she'll go over some of the subject matter extremely fast, but I was disappointed in the class overall. If I wanted to teach myself I would have taken an online class, but this is the norm at Seminole campus.

Wants you to pass. Listen in class, do the labs and get the fact sheets and you will pass. She will help you and stay after hours and extend office sessions to make sure you get content correct.

Amazing. I can't even describe how awesome this professor is. Switched out of Don Drew's class into Professor Mazarkis' class and I enjoyed math class once again! Avoid Don Drew at all costs and take Professor Mazarkis' (Kilgore's) class whenever available! You will learn the material and have fun doing it!!!

AKA KILGORE (she changed her last name) She is amazing! I've had her for three classes and having her is worth wild. I always sucked at math and she was great! She does tend to get off topic, but it's never boring. I suggest always doing homework and showing up to class... you'll get an A!

Professor Kilgore is a very nice person. She tends to get off topic a bit but it's chill. You do not need the Statslab if you take good notes, TRUST ME. Prof Kilgore made Pre-Calc the best it could be. Consistently goes out of her way to help students that need it. Actually teaches the material! That's hard to find nowadays. My pre-calc class was dead and quiet all semester but Kilgore was still caring and continuing on with notes with enthusiasm even though no one talked. She added extra notes online half way through. Midterm & Final proctored but easy as can have equation sheet & she made them short. She also changed my 88 to a 91. Wow, couldn't have a better proff

I took statistics online. The midterm and final are both proctored and worth a huge percentage of your grade. There's lots of homework and quizzes, usually a couple homework assignments. The homework, quizzes, and tests aren't really worth much of the overall grade and she drops the lowest score. If you fail midterm/final you will not pass!!

Professor Kilgore was awesome, she was always telling funny stories and really cares about her students success. She gave us the chance to repeat old quizzes at the end of the semester and she lets you use formula sheets/specific notes on the midterm and final(rare!) I was able to bring my grade up 2 letters because of her help/my final exam grade

LOVE this professor. Ive tried several different professors at SPC and end up dropping shortly after. Prof Kilgore ACTUALLY teaches!! Which is RARE now a days. I took trig, we didnt use my math lab and she lectured every class and told you exactly what will be on the exams. Love her and will definitely take again for future maths.

Prof. Kilgore made me actually enjoy trig. I had Prof. Hughes two semesters before and I didn't learn a thing and had to drop him. It left me with a bad impression with trig. Prof. Kilgore is super caring, she moves slowly through the lectures making sure everyone understands. You still have to study a good amount to pass but she makes it enjoyable

A really good professor that takes the time to thoroughly explain the material. Always open for questions during lectures and gives clear outline on what material should be on the next upcoming test. Final grade in class mostly dependent on in-class tests and quizzes. Replies to emails fairly quickly for any questions and additional assistance.

I took Dr. Kilgore for a "Live" Zoom class in the summer of 2020. She pre-recorded her lectures and did a live zoom 1x/ week where we could ask questions about the material. MyStatsLab is used for all the homework and quizzes. Her lectures were excellent and she is super nice. If you watch her lectures you'll be prepared for the midterm & final.

For Stats class every mathlab and quiz are essential to your grade. Modules quizzes are very important and a practice test is always given, which most of the test/quiz material comes from there. She is very responsive to emails. You will spend many hours studying for this class, it is no joke. Tutoring on Sat. is essential. Zoom recorded a plus!

Professor Kilgore is the absolute best professor Ive ever taken. Ive taken 3 of her classes now. She is incredibly fair and kind. Really takes her time to teach and answer questions. You can not fail her classes unless youre really not trying. Midterms and finals are a large percent of your grade, but if youre doing the hw youll do fine.

Really great teacher and will give more help if you need it. Pre-recorded videos and an optional zoom during week. all quizzes and homework are on mystats lab. 6 module tests that she posts early in a PDF format!! Great teacher and explains the material thoroughly and clearly, made me excited to do my stats

The online class is basically self teach. She posts YouTube videos on how to solve the problems that are on the homework and tests. Final is 45% of your grade.

One of the best math teachers I have had. Very personable and helpful. Wish I was able to attend more of the classes in person, though work got in the way. BUT she has all her lessons and resources available on my courses incase you miss. Great Professor!

Took the 4 week winter class. Class is graded on module tests, midterm, final, syllabus quiz & room scan quiz. No HW/My StatLab. Allows 2 attempts on all tests, midterm AND final which is awesome! Very clear about grading criteria. Easy to reach. Midterm/final review exactly like the actual proctored tests. I would definitely take her class again!

This four week class was successful mostly due to Professor Kilgore clear instructions. I only had one question that was answered quickly but I feel like with other questions she may have received, she sent out emails to the whole class so that everyone had clarity which I appreciated

This course was 4 weeks. She is an amazing professor. She gives you all the tools to succeed. She has recorded lectures with PowerPoints in the course that you can replay over again. If you have additional questions she's prompt at responding. If you have issues understanding Math, definitely take Professor Kilgore.

I took elementary stats online; it was straightforward once I got used to navigating MyCourses. Zoom lectures were weekly and not mandatory.

Kilgore is the most caring and straightforward professor. She teaches exactly what you need to know and makes learning statistics a lot easier. She uses math lab and sometimes takes questions from their and puts it on her exam. If you attend the lectures and pay attention you will succeed. There are plenty of assignments to keep your grade up.

Prof. Kilgore makes stats surprisingly engaging. Her lessons are well-structured, and she's quick to clarify any doubts. The tests are challenging but fair. unstuck AI was a lifesaver for practice.
