She was by far the best math teacher on the campus. She was extremely helpful and willing to meet after class, do her reviews and take home quizzes and you're guaranteed an A. I recommend her for every class that she teaches. All in all she just knows how to teach.

Applied Calculus, not a fun subject but anyone could pass and actually understand the material with Penny Morris as your teacher.

Mrs. Morris is a great tutor not a good teacher. Her test are so easy and you must be careful because the final is made by the department and very hard unlike her test. She gives lots of extra points and even allows you to have a cheat sheet on all the test. If you are a math major take someone else. For degree requirements, Morris is #1!

She really does a good job at explaining things, but sometimes goes pretty fast. My advice: pay attention!

There are 6 tests with one drop, 15 quizzes with 5 dropped. She takes attendance, but is linient. Tests are easy, the final is hard. You can survive this class without the text book. She tries to make math understandable and is pretty successful. It is an easy class, but don't get too comfortable or you won't be ready for the final.

Amazing Professor!!! If you are taking her for MGF1106 she will give you 15 quizzes of which only 10 count, dropping the lowest 5 and 6 tests of which she drops 2. She enjoys what she does and it shows. You will learn, but it is also an easy class.

She was a great professor, but for trigonometry she went too fast with examples. Class did seem to fly by, but sometimes I felt like I didn't learn anything. I spent a bunch of time learning it myself. She is very helpful and knows her mathematics.

Morris is an excellent teacher! She goes out of her way to make sure that students have the info they request. Gen Leadership had quality info but required EXCESSIVE reading and writing homework. I spent more time than anticipated on taking notes from the book for my portfolio for this class and it took valuable time away from my other courses

I really enjoyed professor Morris' class. She gives many opportunities to succeed and is very organized. She always makes study guides available which is really important in math. She is also a sweet teacher but when I would go talk to her personally I felt a little uncomfortable. Like she didn't like me. haha But maybe I'm just paranoid.

She was the BEST teacher I've ever had. Period. I got a 100% in her class and before I had her class I was bad at math. She was so easy to understand and I looked forward to coming to class. I would reccommend her to anyone!

One of the best for Math Period. I took a very challenging Precal/Trig course over the summer. She worked with me constantly to made sure I understood the math. As long as you give 100% she will get you through the class no matter what.

She's an awesome teacher. She was very helpful and patient. She gives you reviews and take home quizzes, which some of the test questions are from the reviews or quizzes. She's very patient and wants you to succeed. This was my 3rd time taking this course and the first time I actually understood what I was doing. Wish I would've taken her FIRST!

Morris is an excellent teacher. If you don't understand something she will work over it until you do. She can be speedy, but she will slow down if you tell her to. She gives reviews before each test and will drop 1 test and 8 quiz grades.

Great teacher if you already know alot about it. Past her class with an A and made an A on every test. Her fill in the blank quizzes are tricky. She wants the answers exact and will count off if they arent. Never made an A on any quizzes. But her study quides are extremely helpful and so is your formula sheet she lets you make for test and final

Mrs Penny Morris is a fantastic Algebra professor. She is so helpful and makes it so easy. I'm horrible in math, made Ds in high school back in 2004 and I had her last semester and she was wonderful and I made an A. Me, making an A! I recommend her for anyone who doesn't do well in math. She's great and wants you to understand the work and do well.

Took this course as fast track over the summer. It moves very quickly and is a lot to take in, but Professor Morris makes it as simple as possible. She is very easy to understand and knows the material very well. She is an amazing professor and I would take any math course she teaches.

Ms. Morris truly cares about teaching! I took intermediate algebra, algebra and satistics with her! She will go out and beyond to help you learn! Class goes by quick and its hard to learn everything but she will meet with you to help what you do get in class! You HAVE to do homework in all the classes to pass for the most part!

She is the sweetest. Kinda dorky but really has the drive to help anyone any way she can. Clearly explains the material and helps with tricks to make SURE you get it. Starts off each class with current events and questions about homework. Even if you attend every other class, you'll still do great. ONE OF THE BEST AT POLK STATE, do not pass her up!

I'm horrible at math and Ms. Morris is more than helpful. She is very accessible with after class and office hours. There is a lot of homework but that is how you get a concept to stick in your head. She gives partial credit back on wrong test answers when you show your work I will take her again in the near future for another required math class

Her reviews for the tests are just like the tests, so if you do them you will do fine on her tests. She is a very sweet lady and has a lot of patience and will work with you if you have trouble.

Amazing teacher. Made me fall in love with the subject. She grades for process rather than answer correctness. So don't worry too much if you miss a + or a - on a question. She will catch it and give you partial credit. Shes really good at outside help if you're lost and you can go to her at any time.

I was very nervous about taking stats bc all my life I have never been able to pass math with any grade higher than a C! Morris makes it so much easier! she hands out the exact questions you need to study for on the test and all test multiple choice along with being able to bring one cheat sheet you create! no confusion, no stress! I got an A!

Great teacher I just didn't learn the way she taught so I would go back in and teach myself the material using notes from class and online research. She was always willing to help though if needed. Turn in all quizzes on time as they are not accepted late. Homework is assigned but never graded or collected. The current textbook is of no help!

First I have to say that I gave her a 4, because she was better than average, but the class is definitely not an easy A. I am horrible at algebra and struggle to pass. She is a really good teacher and I wasn't as lost in her class as I have been in others. I didn't get an A, but I passed. I would have loved to take my other math classes with her.

I am terrible at math, but Professor Morris made it so easy to understand. Took her summer fast track course. She is so very kind and understanding which id taken all my previous math classes with her.

I am terrible at math & was very scared to take stats. She gives you everything you need to pass the class. You get one full page cheat sheet for tests which help A LOT. She shows you exactly whats on the tests & its multiple choice. You will have to study and understand the calculator but I definitely recommend Prof. Morris. & would take her again

I have taken Professor Morris for three classes: intro 1033, college algebra, and Stats. She has wonderful lectures. Quizzes will be given as a take home assignments. The math dept allows for Stats students to have a piece of paper with notes for tests in Stats. She is fast paced and knows math better than anyone! Don't skip class! Ask for help!

You will have 15 take home quizzes and chapter reviews for each test. She gives you every opportunity to pass. If you're not good in Math, take Penny!!!

I'm horrible at math but Morris Penny makes it extremely manageable. I recc. her without a doubt. You will have take home quizzes and you are allowed a cheat sheet for tests which definitely helps. You will definitely learn in this class. Don't worry about doing homework it doesn't help lol. And don't buy the textboo! Only need it if you do the hw.

I love Professor Morris, I have taken a total of three math classes with her and would take another if I needed. She is a professor that actually enjoys the subject and wants her students to understand. I think she makes math as enjoyable as it can be.

Ms. Morris is a super sweet lady, she goes over the criteria but she does suggest doing the homework because she replaces grades with it, so if you make a 67 on a test and 100 on the homework, you will make 100 on the 67 test.. She's easy to understand and definitely helps. No cheat sheets in my class, but eventually you get muliple choice .

Morris is hands down my favorite math professor. If you show up to class and put in little effort you will pass. She is super easy going and answers any questions during her lectures. In all, I would take her again.

I took this Professor for college algebra and statistics and she was fantastic. Don't worry about buying a text book, you will not need it. Homework is not mandatory and there is no point in doing it. The test reviews are just like the actual test, no surprises. She also gives take home quizzes which are easy. I recommend this professor.

Penny will teach Algebra in an easy to learn matter, but I took in a 6 week format and it was kinda difficult to grasp it all so quickly. If you're an A student in math then this is a slam dunk, if not work at it and ask questions and you can get the grade you need. I got a B and went on to MAC 1147 (cal/trig) combined class (What AM I Crazy?)

This class it middle school algebra so it was very easy. I had a 101% going into the final and had to get a 53% to earn an A. She offers a lot of extra credit. If you are not good at math take this professor. Or better yet, take this class.

The class itself is pretty straightforward. You have tests/a final, but she has a couple extra things, like homework (which replaces your lowest test), and a project (which seems vague, but actually not too hard). I had a pretty easy time with the material, and I'm not the best at math. She really wants to help you succeed, and she's really sweet.

Professor Morris is one of the best professors I have had since I been at Polk. If you're not good in math then take her she offers extra credit replace your quiz grade with homework grade only if you completed the homework and made a 100 on it. I thought sure I passed this class with a C but I passed with an B . She is a wonderful lady.

mrs. morris is really good about explaining things and not making you feel like an idiot for asking simple questions. she is willing to go over anything as many times as you need to and frequently goes over test review material more than once. tests come straight from the review. if you participate, you will pass. homework everyday.

Penny Morris is the best math professor I have taken in a long time. She gives 15 take home quizzes where 5 are dropped and she gives around 6 tests where 1 is dropped and replaced with your highest 10 quizzes. She gives alot of hw for extra practice but it is optional. She is also super sweet, so if you ever need anything she will help you. Do it.

Professor Morris is an excellent prof. My final grade was a A. I took her for summer B 6 week course. It was a four hour class twice a week. She gives 15 quizzes and drops the lowest test. She goes really fast and teaches from the textbook. Her tests are really similar to the quizzes and she goes over any questions you have. I recommend taking her.

Professor Morris is a great Professor. She allow you to use notes on your tests. She also gives about 5 or 6 take home quizzes. She gives you the opportunity to get extra credit if you catch her in a mathematical error during class or if there is misspellings on the worksheets she give out. I would take her again

Professor Morris is a very sweet lady, who cares about her students; however, she assumes you already have knowledge on everything she covers.. Meaning, if you aren't particularly great at math, you'll find yourself struggling and having to teach yourself.. It's hard to fail her class, as she gives plenty of opportunities as others have stated.

Absolutely amazing professor. I was getting D's in high school math classes and with Prof. Morris I was able to bring that to an A+. She is kind, caring, and an overall amazing and underrated professor. I will be making a substantial effort to take her again. She is more than willing to help you out even when you don't necessarily deserve it.

She also loves to give out extra credit for class participation. I had a 108% in her class at one point. She is truly a one-of-a-kind teacher!

Professor Morris is really caring and sweet. Took the class as FastTrack which wasn't so bad at all. Being in her class matters and her study guides are basically helping you with the test outline. Also, she drops one bad test grade and quiz. She will let you have a sheet of handwritten notes so cram it on a page, didn't do hw & still passed.

Mrs Morris is an angel! I took stats 2 times, W and F, Im terrible at math, but I wouldnt have passed the 3rd time without her. Ive taken her for MAT1033, MGF1106, & STA2023. Her lectures are so helpful! She doesnt use canvas often but she gives grading reports after every test. Lots of extra credit opportunities! Take notes on EVERYTHING.

Super wholesome professor. Online textbook is optional though the homework and videos are in the textbook which count as extra credit (a lot). Her lectures are basically her doing problems from the textbook. Lectures pretty fast but will stop and help you if you have questions.

Tests are Multiple Choice, Lowest Test dropped. 6 Take home quizzes, one is dropped and average quiz grade becomes test grade. For Statistics u are allowed a sheet of HANDWRITTEN notes. The review is very similar to the test, sometimes the same questions are reused. However, to my surprise some questions on the final were not on the final review.

Professor Morris is a great professor! She teaches everything well, gives you lots of extra credit opportunities, and the class is not hard. If you do all the work you should get an A. She also is ready to help you with anything and quick to respond to emails. You cant be lazy, you have to put in the work, but its not a hard class.

I definitely recommend taking her. Sometimes she goes fast but if you say something she doesnt mind breaking it down and explaining. She has review for her tests(not all teachers do)which are just like the test questions. Im good at math but I feel like she explains everything so that even if it werent your best subject, youd do good.

Thanks to Professor Morris, a nightmare class was made simple, achievable, and not a disaster scenario. She outlined in every chapter what was essential to know, what concepts were going to be on the test, and how to solve those problems to get a good grade. There are many works and ideas that aren't on the tests. Take her class if it is open.

Very straightforward class. Professor Morris is very knowledgeable and makes the course content easy to understand. The lowest test is dropped, notes are allowed on tests, and there is plenty of review for each test. There are also a lot of extra credit opportunities, so an A grade is very much achievable.

10/10 would recommend her!! Lectures are held a few days a week-she uploads the videos to canvas. there's homework on MSL which is a little time-consuming but worth the points, and all the quizzes/tests are multiple-choice. Also, she is extremely accessible outside of the classroom and more than willing to answer questions.

Took the accelerated intro to stats which consisted of 3.5-hour meetings. She ran through the content and the notes and did her best to teach through it. You can tell she's an incredible teacher, but she had so much content to go through in that time span. I personally wouldn't take the class if you struggle with math (like I did).

Professor Morris is a great teacher. She gives out random bonus points for little things and lets use notes on tests and the final exam. The only thing I would say I am not a big fan of is her going fast on the lectures she gives, because sometimes its hard to keep up. Overall she is a nice and caring teacher and understands us. Would recommend her

After taking her for college algebra, I immediately took her for STATS 2023. All I have to say is that she's literally the BEST math professor at Polk. She's extremely kind and will make sure you pass her class. I HIGHLY recommend anyone who needs to fulfill their math pre-reqs with her. You won't regret it!! Tests are multiple choice as well.

Very easy class. Goes over notes and gives a sheet of notes for tests. Everything is on paper and she gives extra credit for correcting her mistakes. Not the most entertaining, but she knows how to teach and gives you all the resources to be successful. Also bring your calculator, you'll need it.

Professor Morris makes stats easy to understand. With plenty of extra credit and resources, this class is a breeze. unstuck ai is a great supplementary tool to ace the tests.

Professor Morris's teaching was very easy to understand and straightforward. Sure she goes a little fast but as long as you're paying attention to what's said you'll do just fine. Her exams were also much easier than her homework which made maintaining your grade very easy. I'd definitely recommend taking her for College Algebra.

Ms. Morris is an amazing teacher. I took her as a collegiate student, and she was respectful and considerate of possible things we may have outside of class. The homework isn't hard, but there is a lot of it. She moves quick in lectures, but it's not terrible. However, she responds quick outside of class and is happy to further explain something.

I took the trig/precalc combo class and it was a lot of studying and a lot of work but she explained concepts in a wonderful way. Homework was not a graded assignment, it was completely optional and based on if you wanted to do it or not but I wish I did it because I was struggling a bit at times without the extra help. I plan on taking her more.

Pro. Morris is one of the best Math Professors I have had. I was worried about STA2023 because of how word problem heavy the nature of the course is, but Pro.M showed us how to decipher and pick out necessary information. There isn't much homework and she gives plenty of study material for exams (notes, old test, ect.). Would definitely recommend!

Amazing. I am terriable at math and she was so helpful. She explains in ways its easy to understand and cares that you know what your doing. A sheet 8x11 paper cheat sheet is allowed for tests. She gives review packets for the exams that are almost the exact same, just different numbers.

Penny Morris is a wonderful teacher. She teaches through all the coursework, unlike some professors. Also, she makes sure to notify the students of campus activiities or events which I love the care that she gives to the class. Lastly, Penny Morris is super chill.
