a very good teacher...explains in detail....just ask questions if confused

She had us do peer reading which helped out a lot. I liked it becasue there were times when it caught a lot of not so easy to see mistakes. She is very nice and willing to help outside of class.

She is pretty clear and willing to help, but she gives lots of homework and doesn't give slack.

She is the ****iest teacher I have ever had the displeasure of taking. I got stuck with her because I took her for fast track. She took 10 points off my research paper because I was in the restroom when she collected thesis statements. I did learn alot from her, but I would not recomend her.

Lots of reading.

I have never see as many whiney, ****-baby reviews in my life! Gee whizz...she wants you to be on time...Duh...she wants you to be HONEST...she works you hard...well...kiddies....get a grip...THIS IS COLLEGE!!! Most of you guys need to be ****-slapped - - - wait till you get a real job.

If you truly want to learn, I strongly recommend this instructor. If you want an easy A, I recommend going back to preschool.

I have no idea why she has so many bad reviews. Ms.O'Neal is awesome!I had so much fun in her class in 1302, only slackers who don't want to work find her hard. Anytime you ask for help on your paper she is willing to help no matter how many times. Great teacher I recommend her to anyone!

Very clear, helps a lot. Tough on grading papers. Final covers everything you've done over the semester.

She is a great teacher and very helpful. You will learn a lot in her class. She is the type of teacher that makes you earn your gade she does not hand it to you. She is a very hard grader she expects you to write papers at her level. You will take lots of notes and evry test has a paper along with it.

She is an awsome teacher. Very fair and always there to help students who do their work. I took her for 1301 and 1302 on honors lever credit. I disagree with the international student who commented above, taking her class was extremely beneficial, as I am an intenraitonal student myself. I highly recommend her!!

she was awsome.. participation is a must in class i will say... a bit difficult on the literary aspect of the class but manageable... i will say this.. i ****ted all the papers and still made a B without her help.

She is awesome! 2nd teacher I had for the course and Passed! She does require that you do write but its English what do you expect.. She nice and friendly and will work with you but you have to approach her dont expect her to come to you if youre failing.

I can see why one person is complaining on here. Your grammar/spelling is awful. No wonder you had trouble in comp2, you should never have passed comp1! Ms. Oneal is energetic, and a good teacher. If you want to learn, take her. If all you want is a good grade to learn nothing, go to Central.

i thought she was a wonderful professor, although she did at times seem to treat the class like we were not responsible adults. but her material was clear and very interesting to whom WANTS to be learned and literate

Intelligent, but very difficult. A heavy workload. I wouldn't recommend her class if you have a job. The workload is way too demanding, I had to drop the class on the the fourth essay. If I did have more time I would take her though, It was an enjoyable class and I learned a lot. Just wouldn't recommend with work and a full schedule.

She moves a little slow but she makes sure you understand what is going on and she is great if you have trouble writing papers she will help you alot.

Mrs. ONeal is WONDERFUL!!! She's so adorable and very energetic. Her class is VERY EASY!!! You write the essays in class with her! She is very helpful and teaches very clearly. Never have to read the book! But hard grader...wants you to do well and will tell you straight what you've done wrong. If you want to LEARN about english, then take her!

Mrs. Onea'l is absolutley fabulous! She is very helpful and understanding. She also provides very interesting topics for her assignments. I learned a lot in her class and now have a profound appreciation for english. She is an amazing teacher! I definately recommend her class!

Penny was a fabulous teacher! She got to know her students well and was concerned with how her students did in her class. She gives alot of help on writing papers. She does have an attendance policy and WILL drop you if you miss more than four times though. Very understanding. My favorite professor by far. OH and she brings pizza on the last day!

She is a great teacher, she is willing to work with you, she has a great personality, her assignments will make your friends jealous of you and make them wish they had took her. I highly recommend her. You wont regret it, just make sure you follow directions.

LOVE HER!!! She's an excellent professor. She brings enthusiasm into the classroom. She's VERY HELPFUL! The essays are easy. She grades fairly. I've gotten B's on most of my papers. She will leave comments and recommendations for you. As long as you go to class and put EFFORT into your paper, you should pass. I got a B+ in her class.

I LOVE Professor O'neal! She's an awesome teacher, she's sweet, laid back, understanding and VERY helpful! If you want to take an easy class she's the class you want, plus she's easy to talk to!

I think that Ms. Oneal is serious about teaching. Dont mess with her but if your up for a challenge her class is for you. Stern but not mean at all.

She is a wonderful professor! I took her over the mini semester in May and made a high B. She was very helpful and right to the point.

Great teacher. Her enthusiasm for the subject will rub off on you! Read the poetry and be able to write college level essays and you'll be fine. Doesn't count off for MLA stuff and I got an A or B on every paper. Best English professor on campus.

Mrs. Oneal is a sweet person but she grades too strict! She expects a lot and I suck at writing papers and I tried my best to pass her class but there was no hope for me because of her grading... If you are good at english take her but if you are not do not even bother seriously!

Me and a bunch of guys from school were hanging out and we all agree that she is so much smarter than our girlfriends.

ms. oneal was a great teacher. only if you are lazy, the class will seem hard. if you go to class and pay attention then you will pass. its not a blow off class but if you put forth even a little effort you will pass!

I took her Surv Lat British Lit/ Romantic class online and I enjoyed it. It is a lot of work, but you will learn a lot. She has a cool set up online with videos, readings, etc to teach. She responds to emails and is very helpful and very understanding. Great Professor.

she is amazing. She knows what she is doing. If you want an easy A...why are you even bothering going to college. This isn't the place to slip by...that was high school. Ms. ONeal treats you as an adult...my advice is to act like one!

She could not be any more friendly and bubbly! Always comes to class with a smile on her face andso very positive. She really knows her stuff. Gives you PLENTY of time to do assignments and answers emails usually within a few hours. Reading material isn't too difficult and is actually somewhat interesting. DEF recommend taking her!

I took Ms. O'neal for English 1301 and 1302. I passed both of her classes with an A. 1301 was a peice of cake. I did not know anything about writing a paper, but she made it so simple and I really enjoyed it. 1302 I took during the summer. It required a lot more work than 1301 but it was still fairly simple and fun. She is extremely helpful.

I love English and writing,and I loved Penny, but I can see how this class would be hard for someone who is not into English or writing. Shes is not an easy professor, plan to use your brain and imagination. She expects a lot, but would you rather have someone who doesn't think you're capable of university level work?

Ms. O'neal was a FANTASTIC teacher. She gives your EVERY resource you need to make a great grade. She is funny and keeps the class interesting. She also is always available for help, and literally lays everything out for you. You have no reason to fail this class! She takes you step by step! Loved her!

Professor O'Neal is a great professor!! I took her Literature and Film class online and her assignments are interesting and her instructions are crystal clear. Lots of reading and research, but definitely worth it! You're paying for a class, and this class was worth every "Penny"! I recommend her if you want to actually LEARN!!

I had a fear of taking Comp II, and I challenged myself by taking a 5 week summer session. Because of this wonderful Professor, I did GREAT! She makes the course fool proof and she is very helpful. If English is not your thing, you must take this Professor she makes it fun and interesting!

Ms. O'Neal is a true professor. Everything is laid out and very organized. She makes expectations known on day one. If you listen to her feedback, you will write better papers than when you started. Don't be surprised if you learn something knew about yourself! Highly recommended.

One of the best professors I've taken! I took her class online and passed with an A! She makes YouTube videos to breakdown some assignments you'll have which was extremely helpful. I would recommend her!

This was a literature class by description, but only Gothic books were read. Dracula, Frankenstein, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Discussion boards are graded as either a zero or a hundred, with any failure to complete the questions as a zero. This dropped my grade a lot. She gives updates about homework often, assignments are clear. But hard class!

Ms. O'Neal is an amazing professor! She is tough, but if you just listen to what she has asked of you, you will succeed in her class. Any questions you may have, she encourages you to ask. Just attend class, do the assignments as she has instructed you to and you will do well. On top of that she's cute.

Ms. O'Neal is great!! She makes class and readings absolutely interesting! Her grading is a bit tough, but paying attention in class (where most of the work is done), will guarantee you an A. Her feedback is also honest and helpful.

She is a great teacher. She have weekly assignments that are due. she is honest with her feedbacks. If you follow directions you will pass. Test are bi-weekly. 2 major assignment 1 is a project but during this time there is no assignments due. Lots of material to go over. She sticks to her syllabus. This class is an easy A.

Mrs. O'Neal is the best professor I have had from San Jac. I took her for both English courses 1301 and 1302. She goes above and beyond to help her students in any way she can. Class was always interesting, and she makes her expectations very clear by giving out a grading rubric with the assignment.

Took Professor O'Neal for Humanities online and it was super interesting. She is super creative with the class subject matter and there are clear grading instructions outlined. She uses power points and the tests stick to her coursework and 1 project. Tough greater, but super responsive and easy to talk to.

Penny is great. She understands that everyone must complete ENGL 1302, so she makes it as painless as possible. Almost everything needed for the class can be taken off the internet for free. NO TEXTBOOK USE! She makes the research paper actually fun. Most of the heavy work is done in class and you get immediate feedback. Totally love her.

She is great ! I waited a whole semester just to take her class because last semester it got full right away. If you do all your papers the way she asks you to, youll pass her class easy. Her tests are written exams, but not hard. I actually enjoyed this class a lot.

Ms. O'Neal's online class was very organized and structured, which I really appreciated. Her assignments were not difficult as long as you do the reading. There are a few papers to write but this is an English class. She also posts very helpful instructional videos related to the different assignments.

Great class and not your average comp class. Participate in class and don't miss rough draft night. Schedule a review of your essays with her, not the writing center. She is super helpful when you ask her for help.

I took a summer session comp course with her and am so glad I did! She's funny and makes the learning process interesting. The essays all come with clear instructions and a grading rubric. She's open to meeting for her to look over your essay as well just make an appointment. Best teacher I've ever had! Definitely recommend taking her class!

Professor O'Neal is funny and I enjoyed her lectures. You can tell she cares about what she teaches as well as about the students. She was always willing to help. I am already signed up to take her again for another class. Head's up - she starts grading papers at a 95 because there is no such thing as a perfect paper. She does offer extra credit.

I loved this online class. One week work, next week discussion board. Syllabus was laid out so you know what to expect. Professor was funny and interesting. Loved assignments. Turn work in on time and you'll get an easy A.

Professor O'Neal is the best professor ever! I took her online class but I'm sure she would be just as great in person! She gives 4 quizzes, 2 discussion boards, 2 annotated bibliographies, 1 research essay, and a final. It seems like a lot but she gives clear outlines for everything and posts youtube videos explaining the assignments.

I highly recommend this professor. Make sure to do all the work she assigns. She explains it clearly and is happy to help you. You will not regret taking her class. I stalled in taking English II because I am very bad at writing but I would definitely take it again if I had to. I can honestly say I enjoyed our assignments.

Online Humanities class. Professor provided all reading and research material including videos. Quizzes are based off information provided. No trick questions. I really enjoyed this class and the professor made it easy to be engaged in the topics.

I absolutely adored this class it was so fun and she was an amazing professor who was understanding and clear to understand. The tests were very accurate to the notes which was very much appreciated!

Took the summer class and absolutely loved it! Only assigned one assignment per week and the work was never difficult! Honestly much better and easier than my ENGL 01 class.

She is an excellent online professor. The material was laid out very professionally with short lecture videos and some reading materials, etc. In 16 wks, we covered 5 civilizations. I liked the DBs. I loved the final project-I had the option to research recipes and actually cook a dish. The midterm and final are open notes. Glad I took with her!

Professor Penny is very nice and lenient with grades. Most assignments are group projects, but she gives plenty of time and offers help in class. If you follow her instructions and attend regularly, you can easily earn an A. You'll also learn a lot of useful skill that can be used in real life.

If you do your stuff and not disrupt class you will have an EXTREMELY easy time in her class.
