GOOD GOD...STAY AWAY! SOOO unclear on what she wants and expects, and then hands out C's, D's, and F's like nobodys business. In less you are really into PLS, don't take her...take someone else...I'm sure they would be a lot more understanding.
Easy grade, just do what's asked (which isn't much) and you'll get an A.
if you're a conservative you'll love her. i've never heard so much clinton bashing and bush praising in my life. i'm a democrat and my grade reflected it. i couldn't stay interested when my party is getting dismembered.
Unclear on what she wants on assignments
Goodness... this class is more than a challenge. The assignments are overwhelmingly vague. And, although she will incourage you to not read the book, the tests come from it. And, once you make your opinion heard, it WILL be heald against you
I'm not sure she lives in reality. Mean during class, unclear on assignments, and spends the entire class bashing Democrats. Late to class everyday, skips class regularly. Never in her office. Encourages to not read book, but tests from it. Lectures useless. Avoid at all costs.
i absolutely hated politics before i took her class...now i understand it a lot more clearly. her tests and assignments are hard but they teach you a lot. first test might be hard but they get better. i was so dumb in politics before i entered and afterwards i pulled an A at the end of the class.
A bit odd, but a decent teacher. She is tough on MLA format when it comes to papers. If you pay attention, do your work, and have a modicum of intelligence, you'll receive a good grade. This business about her bias is misdirected and misguided.
You had better come with you ass and head wired together, because it's a challenging class. More toward what a *real* college class would be like (if this wasn't a community college). She bashes both parties equally, and is very funny, and quirky. Take notes, read book, you can do well.
This lady is a teacher who seems not to have much time to teach. She lets you know what she requires and sticks with it. Didn't learn too much from the class, but did get an "A".
Great teacher....helps out a lot.
Great teacher. Helps inspire students.
The clogs.
Must read the book since test comes from it and not the notes. Gives you the 50pt essays 2 weeks in advance to turn in with your test, can turn it in early for 5 EC, has you get into groups to discuss politics. Shows her bias as a republician, so hold your tongue, she will hold it against you. Doesn't allow you into class after she starts lectures
I absolutely loved being in Perri's class. She is very right winged and very proud of it. She is very sure of her views and can back it although she is fair regardless of her beliefs. Don't come at her with something you can't back.
This teacher will make a fool out of you if you let her. DO NOT let her know what party you belong to if any she WILL hold it against you. The best way I know to describe this teacher is a ****. Plain and simple. AVOID AT ALL COST!
VERY HARD CLASS!!
Lampe cracks me up. She really keeps the class interesting. Make sure you really study for tests and do all of the assignments and an A should be very obtainable. Def. recommend her class.
I would highly recommend Perri as a professor. Very interesting lectrues, and most helpful when you ask for help/clarity. Follow directions, show up for class, do everything on time, and you'll get a good grade. One will learn all about their local government, good stuff.
Perri is a really fun teacher if you do what she says. The tests can be tricky if you don't read the questions carefully and choose the best answer. Just do what is required and have an opposing opinion with her. She loves to debate. I loved her class. She was my favorite teacher there.
AWESOME! I learned more in her class than any other I have taken. Take good notes, tests are predictable, and she allows you to argue answers in class that were marked wrong to change. Lectures are important, all the info is in the lecture, but she makes things interesting. Loved her class
I had no interest in Poli Sci except it was required. Mrs. Lampe has made the class loads of fun and very interesting. She doesn't use textbooks, and only has a few papers (very easy) to do. Definitely recommend taking her class.
Professor Lampe is a fun teacher to have. It is obvious she really cares about politics, and wants her students to be involved. She makes lectures fun, and the writing assignments and tests are easy if you go to class, and work hard.
I must be the only person who doesn't like this woman.
really boring, but pretty easy.
I loved this class. Perri is a really fun teacher, but it is by no means an 'easy' class.
Great, experienced teacher.
She is a goodnatured woman! She tries to keep it real with you. If you can BS your writing assignments to look legit you will get a B no doubt! I liked the class!
She is the best teacher Ive ever had. She was very supporitive and even helped me out with things on a personal basis. I love her!
Perri is absolutely hilarious! I couldnt go one class without laughing. She is fun and very interesting. She does do things a little off the wall but it all works out in the end. Show up do what she asks and you will get an A!
Just more praise from me. Best teacher I've ever had, class is easy if you try, not for slackers!! P.S. She can help you network if you impress her.
she is NOT computer savvy.
she never expresses what she wants her students to do. she is suck
this is a very hard class. and she does not explain what she wants from you. then fail you.
The assignments are fairly easy, the required reading is a breeze, and she makes the lectures interesting. I was absolutely dreading this class, but it was highly enjoyable. Certainly not for slackers though.I'm actually considering taking another PoliSci class from her next semester just because I liked the class so much.
I had this class on-line and I read her rating on here before I took the class. I was actually interested in the content so that made it easier. By the complaints of my fellow on-line learners they did not like the class but I loved it and I actually learned stuff.
I took this class online a year ago and although it was somewhat easy, this class was mostly good for those who work independently. There are weekly papers. I did not like the quizzes because some of the questions were unfamiliar. Therefore, I got points off for something she did not cover in her lectures. She must have reused her in-class quizzes.
Funny lady but hard. Very hard tests that make no sense. doesn't have a text book. all you have to study with is your notes. Have to write at least 1 paper a week and she makes you bring newspaper articles every week so you can evaluate them.
WOW. I can NOT believe there are students who do not like Perri! She is the most laid back and fun professor I have ever had. Had no interest in politics at all but I ended up being one that she caused to get involved, take action, and vote! The papers are easy if you just do what she assigns. Test questions can be tricky just read them. SHE ROCKS!
I took this class online this summer... the first week's work was easy. Yes, I completed it. and then I was notified that I had been dropped by the instrutor. I tried emailing, calling.. NO RESPONSE. I'm less than satisfied with Perri Lampe.
Makes you do a lot of writing, hate it!
Lampe is like the best Government teacher at Maple. I took this class right out of high school and i took Government senior year and she helped reiterate things i have already learned. She is so funny and crazy out there! no cell phone or else you have to bring cookies!! I totally reccommend her
I LOVE Mrs. Lampe! She is hilarious and dresses so funny. Her class really isn't that hard. A lot of work but its easy stuff. If you dont mind some work outside of class and need an A i Poly Sci...take her class. Its easy and entertaining. But don't miss to many days or she'll drop you!
Perri Lampe's class is quite easy. She does a lot of teaching to the test. I took AP Gov in high school and knew 95% of the material in this class already. Most of the time, she ends class early, which is nice. If anyone has trouble understanding something, she is always willing to meet with them to discuss it.
Awesome teacher. A little bit nutty but keeps things interesting. Everything on the test she teaches and if not, she tells you otherwise to read the book and look for the bold words. Writing assignments are annoying but easy. They help boost grade. Tests are somewhat hard but fair.
Fun class, she was a great teacher and I got an A, however be prepared for lots of writing and reading and time on blackboard. Overall I had a good time.
A lots of writing assingments, one with every single test which is 50% of your test grade. It gets very annoying but she is a very funny, nice teacher.
Mrs. Lampe is an awesome teacher! You will laugh and enjoy this class. A lot of writing assignments, and you'll put a bit of time into them but they're an easy A if you devote time to them. The class was awesome and I would highly recommend her! No textbook for this class just lectures which I liked. Her study guides are your guide to A's on tests.
Easy class if you pay attention
Why the heck does Lampe have an Average rating? She is one of the best teachers at this school! She's helpful and a great person. She doesn't play favorites and it would take a heck of a lot to piss her off; she's easy going. Always a fun time in her class! Rock on Lampe, you're the best! :)
I loved this class. It was one of the funnest and easiest A's I have gotten. I went back after six years and enjoyed her class very much. She does require a lot of writing, but they are not hard and most of them I learned things from.
Shes a great teacher
This is a great class with a great teacher! She is very interesting and adapts well to the classroom environment. Her assignments are relevant and easy to handle and she gives opportunities for extra credit.
An awesome class with an awesome teacher! Very informative and interesting.
It's funny how some of these online instructors can't simply get an updated version of word so they can view the same assignments everyone else can. I have been told by a famly member who's a prof. that instructors are lazy and won't do anything for the student's convenience if it causes them an inconvenience particularly for online students.
Horrible online teacher. No book used, her notes are not always right and filled with spelling errors. Her due dates on assignments are wrong and she won't fix them. No real help available from her. Have to turn in assignments in old formats because she won't upgrade her Office. (which the college gives her for free.) ridiculous.
I loved having her! She was a great teacher. I took a hybrid class so the online assignment were a breeze! The tests were harder. Just take good notes in the lecture and study them well and you'll be good!
Easy! Makes class very interesting. Gives plenty of opportunity to get your grade where you want it, tests aren't hard at all as long as you come to class you will be just fine.
Interesting class keeps your attention.
She was very funny but she required A LOT of work and assignments to be turned in and the tests were fairly challenging. Be prepared for a lot of homework but she is very interesting and can still keep you entertained.
Took this course as an online class. The instructor was slow to solve issues and was not great at responding to e-mail inquiries. The tests were very hard and we were not given ample time, nor all of the information in lectures. There was no textbook to reference. Also there were tests that had matching questions and there were missing answers.
She is a very nice helpful teacher. As soon as the semester started my car broke down and I had a hard time finding rides to class. She was very helpful and understanding. She even loaned me a book to help me out when I missed classes. Wonderful teacher. Even though I had to drop she did not hassle me for the book and I am taking her this semseter.
Oh man, get ready for a ride this teacher is something else. She is pretty nutty I would say, but has a passion for politics and wants you to participate. A lot of writing, and had some techonology issues, but she is pretty laid back and wants you to do well. This isn't an easy A as there is a good bit of writing and the test questions can be hard.
She's awesome! If you show up, listen to her entertaining lectures, and participate and do the work you will do great. She's laid back in her personality but don't think that means she will hand you your grade -- YOU earn it. She rocks! Best teacher ever!
Lampe is a total nut! Uses no textbook. There is a lot of writing required and you have to pay attention in class to pass the exams. But the writing portions of the exams can save your butt like it did mine. She is passionate and wants you to participate. Overall shes good. Just dont text in class or you have to bring cookies for everyone. No joke.
I have taken many on-line classes in the past few years and this was the worst of all. All Quiz material is NOT covered in the lecture notes for that week. Does not follow her own instructions listed and makes them up as she goes. Overall very poor planning for the class material. Does not use spell check, spelling is poor and grammar is worse
Lampe is one of the best professors I've had in my college years!! I recommend her to all my friends & I wish I had the interest to be a political science major because I would mend my schedule to take her courses. She is very interesting & helpful. Her papers are easy of you read the instructions on what she clearly wants for her assignments. Her methods of teaching are interesting but very successful. If you do the work & listen in class, you'll get an A.
This professor is absolutely your worst nightmare if you want answers to questions or clarity in your assignments. She would frequently take 3 plus days to respond to emails, her Blackboard page was messed up and, when her attention was drawn to it, told you to contact IT for help. When they said ONLY she could fix it, she refused to. HORRIBLE. RUN
I recommend her but be prepared for lots of busy work. Class is easy and dont use the book, she even says dont buy it. Her midterm and final are very hard but only make up 30-40% of the class the rest is busy work.
Took Hybrid. There is a lot of writing and EXTENSIVE research assignments in this class! She does not stress grammar, except on the final paper. If you go to class, and are good at researching and writing this class will be simple! For the cumulative paper make sure you have it reviewed by an instructor in the writing resources. She loves IMAGES!
Her online class is hard and confusing. Her expectations are not clear and the way she wants things done is just ridiculous. EVERYTHING you sumbmit MUST be .rtf or she won't accept it. She says she allows 20 minutes to do a test and then shuts you out after 15. Don't take this Political Science with this teacher.
Great professor. You have to do the work but she sparked my interest in Political Science. She is helpful, not chatty, grades assignments in a timely manner.
There was no clarity or straight answers, the notes are confusing, there is no real guidance, she posts assignments and notices late and gives little to no explanation. Nothing about the online class made any sense.
Great class, lectures intersting. If you do the work you get a good grade. Asked for help and clarification and receied feedback that was helpful.
This was a good course online. She valued my opinions in the RCR assignmnts, had to read current events. Some students in class tried to be disruptive.
Apparently she is a great professor in class, but I do not suggest taking her class online. Due dates unclear, no guidance and more than half the time she would not respond to emails then would say it was something wrong with blackboard.
All of the points are tied up in the busy work that is due every week, do that and you will pass. Pretty easy but you will need to dedicate a few hours each week to the busy work.
AVOID the online class. Maybe it's ok in person, but the POLS 135 was pathetic. No clarity, no help, confusing instructions and due dates, etc. I got an A only because I worked VERY hard, with NO thanks to her tests. AVOID AVOID AVOID. No help from the Dean either. Best thing is no book and decent subject matter. Heed my warning!
Ms. Lampe was amazing. However, I didn't get the grade that I believe I deserved. She is a very fun teacher. The hybrid class was awesome too! Overall, I would say this class is not too difficult as long as you attend the class, listen attentively to the lecture and read more about the class topics. I just wish there was more interaction in class.
Horrible experience o help from the instructor or deans. confusing and missing content. incorrect due dates and no feedback . This class is an absolute nightmare. Could be a great class if Ms. Lampe had ant concern what so ever for her online students. Hoe ever she does not . Do not take his class.
I was nervous going into this class but I am doing great. There are several assignments a week but all are very easy! They help rack up points, so if you do bad on the midterm/final then your grade is not affected too badly. TAKE IT AS A HYBRID! She is not good at replying to emails, AT ALL! I RECOMMEND HER AS A HYBRID COURSE!!!
Awesome teacher as long as you show up and complete course work! I took the hybrid class and it was nice because we did not have to purchase a textbook. If you skip a lot, this class is not for you. She made the class fun and I would recommend her highly!
Great teacher!
I really enjoyed her class, it was super easy. Both of her classes are hybrid classes. If you do your work and turn it in, you will get a good grade. However, I did feel like a lot of the time the work she gave was more like busy work than actual things that we needed to be learning in the class.
A bit of a ball buster when it comes to assignments format.
Confusing instructions that make no sense. Plus the due dates are just as bad. In one place the due date will say Sunday while in another place it will say Tuesday. A lot of homework.
Absolutely horrible. Nothing is clarified, the teacher takes a week to reply to an email. We just got our grades for the first weeks assignments and half of us were doing them wrong and continued that way for the 2nd and 3rd week. Lost complete interest in this class. I am a hard worker but this is ridiculous. Have an A so far.
OK, I signed up for a 16 week class, but she ran it on a 8 week schedule (I had not problem with it and actually finished the class in 2 weeks). 3 items were graded, a quiz that must be taken in the first few days, a 3 page paper and an exam. Once you do all 3, you are done. The material needed was provided.
No text book so all reading is done from her notes on her in-class lectures. Required to write about issues she never teaches or posts info about. Uses dated Electoral College & Representative numbers. Does NOT reply to any emails. Has been as much as 6 days late in posting a week's work. Qs on tests rarely come from lecture info. Stay away!
THIS WAS A HYBRID CLASS. GAVE US AROUND 5 ASSIGNMENTS PER WEEK. ASSIGNMENTS WERE PRETTY WORTHLESS I THOUGHT. WHILE IN CLASS WE WERE PRETTY MUCH TEACHING HER.
I took this in my third semester of online classes and it was the worst one I had ever taken. The course itself was not to difficult but the teacher was. The quizzes that were given were never about the "lectures" she gave us. These were just her opinions about the topic. Also I have never had a teacher less helpful. In short find another teacher.
Unorganized, quizzed and tested over material not covered in lectures dropped my grade from A to B cheated on my last 3 assignments which dropped my grade to a C, doesn't respond to email or phone calls timely, questions worth 10 points minimum answer should be 10 sentences and so on, POLS is mostly opinion so have one! Turn in all hw & pass wC
The expectations for this online class were not very clear. The resources we were given to plan for assignments were often times conflicting - the schedulesyllabus said different things, and so the due dates on Blackboard came as a surprise. With that said, she basically grades assignments based off of lengthcompletion.
An extremely disorganized online class. Due dates and assignment requirements were ambiguous. Help from the teacher was shoddy at best. Tests and quizzes covered material not found in provided materials. The worst class I have taken in quite a while.
I took her online class, she appears to have no passion for teaching! Her tests were broken, forcing you to miss points. She seldom (if ever) corrected the incorrect grades. Extremely unhelpful; rarely will she reply back to you. Assignment instructions contradicted themselves. She was Snarky, disrespectful and unorganized. Glad its over..
No help, no book, no concern for correct content in materials provided. Frustrating teacher. Can wrap up class early it's self paced. Had to take for degree, only offered online - take the other teacher in fall or spring if possible. A Three requirements, a easy quiz, paper, exam, done. Not much work, but irritating teacher. Teacher didn't care.
Avoid at all costs. Everything she gave us had spelling and factual errors, she was unresponsive to student questions, and tests were unrelated to lectures.. I tried to ask her once how long a paper should be, she replied 5 days later but did not answer my question. When I checked my grade she had taken points off for length. Unbelievable.
If you attend class and take notes, you will pass. Tests are based directly off of notes and are easy if you paid attention in lectures. She describes things in ways that are easy to comprehend and is always there if you have a question or need help. You can tell that she is very passionate about politics and it makes for a fun class.
Ms. Lampe Isn't very good at keeping her BlackBoard site as organized as it could be. So maybe you shouldn't take the online class with her. However, I took the so-called "Hybrid" class with her, and it was not bad at all. You have to write a lot of essays but honestly it's pretty much, "Hey - do this and I'll give you a free A."
Good teacher, good class if you don't test well. Most of the grade come from out of class assignments, just make sure to turn them in. no textbook for this class, just some online readings
if you do your work, you get an A. its that simple. she's very clear on her expectations and she gives you the entire schedule before hand, plus note outlines and reviews for the test. she makes sure you understand and often asks the class for feedback. if you do not test well that's okay because there are plenty of assignments to make up for it.
Very scatterbrained. I ended up dropping the class. Professor seemed clueless...
I TOOK HER CLASS IN THE SPRING SHE IS VERY NICE, SHE IS VERY FLEXIBLE, TAKES STUDENTS OPINION, I HAD 2 TO 3 HOMEWORK DUE EVERY WEEK BUT IF I MISS SHE GIVES A SECOND CHANCE TO IMPROVE GRADES I JUST HAD TO READ A LOT AND DO GIVE OPINION ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT STUFF, AS A WHOLE I LIKED THE CLASS
Very flexible. Easy A. You would literally have to not want an A to not get one.
Great Teacher. Midterm was a Scavenger Hunt and we could look up the answers. 4-5 small assignments every week. No book required, good lectures and study guides. Do the work and you will pass. Would totally take this teacher again and she made me enjoy Politics! Have not taken the final yet, but I think I will get an A.
I'm taking her online class and so far she's a pretty good teacher, she is just really bad at giving instructions. They aren't very specific. Her assignments are pretty easy they just seem to take a lot of time and we basically have the same each week. You will pass if you do the assignments. She doesn't make me love politics but they're bearable.
She assigns kind of a lot of work since it is a hybrid class, but she is very clear about deadlines for when assignments are due. Tests are kinda hard, but she has clear study guides posted, so if you fill them out and study you should be fine. She's nice, and you can always ask her questions. Encourages debates and thoughts.
A very great teacher with a sense of humor. I have never liked social studies, politics, government, etc., but she made this class so enjoyable. She is also very understanding if you have something come up. In het class: do the work then there's time for fun!
This is one of the easiest teachers you will ever have. She gives clear expectations on the first day of class and if something is to happen she will work with you. There is A LOT of busy work every week though. There are also about 4 big projects (but they only take a few hours each). If you try then you will easily pass with an A.
She is inadequate--doesn't read papers, won't change incorrect questions on quizzes, and has outdated exams with invalid questions. After an exam, she said students were stupid if they picked a certain answer. She has so many errors on her exams that she has to give out points. She requires students to make sure SHE lectures over class material.
Sooo much busy work. That's basically all the class is... busy work. Incorrect answers on quizzes, unclear on when things are due. If you are organized and can handle the busy work you will be fine.
Very out there in her own world kind of person. Her class is mainly homework based as I took a hybrid class expecting that. Mid term and final are important and a little difficult as she does not cover all of the material, but you can make up those points by earning a perfect score on everything else. She barely reads hw so it's easy 10/10 points.
I was in the hybrid POLS136 class, it's a lot of busy work but if you can get everything done the class is easy. Lampe is a great teacher, she's super funny in class and although she can be a little unclear on due dates, she's very easy going. Don't bother with the textbook, we didn't even touch it all semester. Would 100 percent recommend!
This professor is amazing! She is downright hilarious. I took the hybrid class so only had class once a week. Theres about three assignments a week, but she gives you the weekend to do them and total time should only take you about an hour. If you respect a solid birkenstock collection she is the professor for you.
I took Perri Lampe for POLS 135 as an online student. She was super great and easy to get a long with. You have test, quizzes, and homework. Often short response papers were due based off of readings she gave. You also have Current Event responses due every week. If you do the homework and turn things in on time, you will not have a problem.
Perri was my favorite professor I took last semester, I took her American Politics hybrid class and it was an AMAZING experience. There is ALOT of work but they are easy and she's a fair grader. Quizzes almost every week and only two tests, midterm and final (we got to work in groups!!) If you're not very good at politics take her! You wont regret.
She is a gem for sure. She lectures hard but it's legit. She teaches in a way that is visual and straight to the point. I would recommend being friends with the classroom note taker if you aren't one to show up to every class.
Lampe was great, she was really down to earth and really took the time to make sure everyone understood what she was explaining. She does test hard but if you do the work, you shouldn't have a problem getting a good grade.
Awesome professor. Understanding and normally very clear. Does lean more on the left side of politics but does not grade based on if she agrees with your opinion, only by criteria.
All work given (which is a lot) is online and due dates and professors communication is very unclear and not good at all. She is not very willing to work with you on your grade.
She gives lots of assignments (6ish hours per week), but this can be a good thing, as it means as long as you do the work, you will get an A. She grades very easily, it's impossible to not get full points if fulfill the length requirements. She goes over the midterm in class and addresses questions that lots of people get wrong. Concise lectures
Mrs. Lampe is a very nice "grandma" style character. This has some pros and some cons: The pros are that she is very understanding and gets you involved. The cons is that she doesn't fully understand the online class part, so many things (deadlines included) are out of date. I'd probably pick her again if I it wasn't an online class.
Perri is really sweet but this class can be frustrating because its a hybrid. I wish that she would go over the content more in depth. The lectures dont always cover everything thats tested. So you kind of have to look up a lot of the stuff when studying for tests. The online homework is fairly easy just time consuming.
I loved taking Professor Lampes class. I took this class as a hybrid, so we only met on Monday and Wednesday. Friday was our day to do all of our online work. There was a lot of busy work assigned each week, but I think it was useful in understanding the concepts. The lectures were organized and easy to follow. I would recommend her class.
If you really want to learn something in political science, avoid this professor at all cost. Start of class she gives you these hard rules, to show how inflexible she is and as a new student it instills fear in you. Do not expect constructive feedback or pleasant emails, every email oozes old school teacher authority. I do not recommend to anyone.
She is the most nonchalant and worst teacher any student can get. She replies emails late and when she even responds 4 or 5 days later, she never gives a helpful response. She does not care to give feedback or even let students right their wrongs or learn from mistakes. She is terrible, Avoid her at all costs!!!
Good professor. Lots of reading and homework & assignments. Podcasts, Papers, Current events every week. Do the work and your golden.
Took political science online. If you put 50% effort into this class you will pass. I did all of the homework on the due dates and didn't read any lectures and still managed to pass with an A. Lampe is seriously the worst at replying but honestly, everything is so straight forward you won't even need to ask questions.
I am in her online 8 week class and it's fine. Lots of assignments but they are pretty easy. 10 pt quiz each week... sometimes the questions on quiz don't pertain to the lecture she provided or just weren't in the lecture. She does assign a few papers but nothing crazy and she isn't super nit picky. Do the assignments and you'll probably get an A.
Hybrid class, attend class once a week for notes and info, 3-6 weekly assignments online due at the end of the week except the midterm and final. Excellent and personable professor once you know what youre doing.
She described herself as approachable, but was the complete opposite. When I expressed my concerns in her class she with held my grade until I met with her. She is extremely blunt.
As long as you can read news websites you're fine. This class revolves around reviewing geo-political issues from outside sources. If you can fill out 5 forms a week you'll pass.
She's a good teacher, but if you don't like a lot of homework, don't take her. I will say though, all her assignments are easy, it's basically the same thing every week just on a different topic. Textbook not required, just do your homework and quizzes on time and you'll for sure pass.
homework is easy, it's just the hoops you have to jump through to do any of it. all of her material uses outdated links and old due dates. Once you actually find the article or website she wants you to use, it's a breeze, but don't mess around she is a real stickler for due dates, and once something is passed, it's gone forever.
Professor Lampe was a great professor. I had her for two semesters and both were very fun. She gives out a lot of work, but the assignments aren't difficult. The only reason I got a low grade was because I decided that I didn't want to do some of the work. Do all of your work and it's an easy A.
Lots of busy work like the others have mentioned, but the work gives you viewpoints from all sides of the aisle and teaches you about politics, like the class is supposed to. Responds somewhat quickly to messages. Quizzes every week and cumulative final. Easy stuff. Just do the work and you'll be fine.
I took her hybrid class so we met via zoom once a week and then read a weekly lecture document over the topic of the week followed by 3-6 written assignments. If you fill papers out correctly you get 100%. The Final was a concept map based on the lectures from the last half of the semester. I enjoyed the class and learned a lot about new subjects.
I took the eight week version of this class. I learned a whole lot as she provided very rich lectures. Expect around five assignments per week, one being a quiz and the rest will each surpass two pages in length. She is a fair grader and is available during the week for assistance. Do the work and you'll earn an A and the knowledge.
Lampe is a great professor! Her POLS 136 class is not too hard, just stay on top of work throughout the week and you will do just fine. All about reading current events & podcasts and writing about them . Super easy because most is opinion. Mid-term and final aren't tests and only a few quizzes throughout semester. She grades fast and very helpful
She has lots of homework but it's all fairly easy- 4 or 5 assignments due Friday @ 11PM weekly, assignments 10-20 points each. She's nice if you miss and will let you turn it in late if you explain why & ask. No textbook, everything is based on lectures and google. No exams. She's the best professor I've ever had- made class extremely interesting!
Its a mid class. I didnt like that she expects you to remind her if she didnt grade your homework as that is something that shes supposed to do herself because shes the teacher. Homework is easy as long as you dont cram on the last day to turn it in. Kind of rude sometimes during feedback.
Great class to take if you're interested in political science. Homework due every week. Interesting lectures and podcasts to listen to. Just do the assignments and you'll pass.
