I'm not very good in Math so it was very difficult for me. The test weren't that hard...the questions came right from the textbook...but if you aren't good in Math, then it will be difficult!
He was very helpful with all of his students and made sure that everyone understood his direction... his analogies were fun!!!
Perry Lee is awesome! He has a good sense of humor and is always willing to help anyone. If you are struggling hes willing to work with you. He gave us a lot of opportunities to get good grades. If you do the practice examples in the book like he recommends, you will do great, all the test questions come right from the book.
very good, thanks.
very helpful, and simplifies the material.
I thought this class was easy but didnt find it so easy. He made it easy by explaining concepts very well. Best wishes.
Wow, most confusing guy ever. Doesn't go over work or explain anything well. Moves to fast even if the class isn't prepared. The only thing good about him is a bell curve. If you want to learn anything in his class be prepared to take lots of notes, do all the work and teach yourself in the book after each class. VERY confusing guy...
Easy Class, however he finds everyway to screw you over in grading. Your answer will be right, but he will still take points off and have some bs way he came up with to do that. Take someone else if you want the a you earned or take him to get a b when you really earned an A.
Too many whiners in the class when it comes to grades. Get a grip buddy, the little mark is not going to make it or break it (from you getting an A or a B). I think he is a great prof and his quizzes and tests are quite easy.
Easy class if you come to class!!!! His explanations are clear and better than the book. He cares and wants you to learn. The student who complained below probably doesn't come to class and does no work. That is why he/she is confused. You should just stop coming and drop it.
terrible prof. the dude below is right. when test time comes, bad attitude. You ask the guy a question and he gets lippy with you. very ****, and picks his favorites. does take off points for stuff that is right, and then tells you needed to expand. If its the right answer how can you expand? the little marks do matter when you have an 88!
I found him very helpful. He cares, and it is evident from his teaching. He is good at what he does and has encouraged me to go into math. thanks.

There was an idiot in class who tried to get extra marks by rewriting the answer to a test he took a couple of months back. He tried to get it but Dr. Lee know that he was trying to cheat him. I am just appalled, and makes students look bad. He is very good and I believe he is fair to all. I am sure this student wrote the note below.
You rock Prof. Lee. Thanks for a great semester.
Wow, I'm suprised anyone would have a bad thing to say about Dr Lee. EXTREMELY helpful, genuinely wanted us to do well; he even kept some of us from leaving the final after glancing over our incorrect answers until we tried to correct them. HIGHLY recommended to anyone who isn't a math major, he'll help see you through an intimidating subject.
I learned alot despite seeing the material in high school. I thought Dr. Lee was very effective in his approach. Like what he said, "it is the journey, not the destination". Thanks for a great and intense session.
Great Professor. Even though the material wasnt that hard, he still makes you work for the grade, but he is willing to help you as much as you need it
Really bad analogies all the time.
I think he is good. He is into asking students if they are sure about the answer. I do see that students in this class are not doing well despite the questions are straight from the textbook.
This prof. is funny because he makes this class interesting by simplifying what the textbook is saying. The student below is probably lost because he/she does NO work. This is a college course, and so far we've been doing highschool math so far.
doesnt know anything about teaching. may know lin alg but cant teach if his life depended on it. please avoid. he complains about his damn kids more then teaching the class. avoid
not the easiest to understand in class, but ull get it. if not he is very helpful durring his office hours. i was struggling at first and went to his office to talk, ended up gettin a 100% on the next test. overall good teacher, not a professor to try to avoid
This guy is a loser. Thinks he's funny, def is not. If your a woman he'll love you and help you get an A. Otherwise he'll screw you any way he can and take points off for no reason at all.
he can be very confusing, if you are good with math then you won't have a problem with him at all- but if you aren't the best at it then take someone else because he does not understand alot of questions. his grading system is very good tho, it isn't based on just tests
I took Linear Algebra with Dr. Lee. It's sometimes hard to read his handwriting and understand the discussions. The exam problems are identical to book problems not assigned for homework. He's willing to answer questions you have. I wish we covered more topics, but we ran out of time.
Dr. Lee is a great prof and willing to help you at any time. He knows his stuff. I'm not a math person, but he's one of the few who has helped me understand certain concepts.
Awesome teacher. Math is not fun, let's face it and he never gives up trying to make class not boring. Quizzes are straight from the book and tests are straight from the quizzes. He doesn't check homework and attendance is optional. What more do you want? Ask him to do to some pen tricks. He's out of control.
Very tricky! Grades really tough on tests and quizzes. My roomate is taking it for the second time. Mocks students and belittles students who ask questions. Don'd do it to yourself! terrible, terrible
I am HORRIBLE at math and actually took it during the summer. Dr. Lee was the only math teacher that I've ever had that I actually understood. I was finally understanding math and it was because Dr. Lee was so patient, clear and helpful. He knew that he wasn't dealing with math majors and taught his class with that mindset.
AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! he is so rude to you when you ask him for help and blames your missunderstandings for lack of understanding basic algebra. he moves way to fast. I asked for help severial times and even used the math lab tutors almost every day, yet still got a D for him in calc I. he is a funny person.but now i have to take it over :(
he is with out a doubt the worst professor i have ever head. he is useless and wants you to attend meetings outside of class. apparently going to class isnt good enough for him...he takes attendance at the meetings. MAKING THEM more important. DONT TAKE HIM
I find him helpful despite what the other students are saying. I am not good at math, and he explains material in class clearly. the book is awful, but he simplifies things. Students will blame him because they can't do the simple math. All complainers, grow up.
Have you taken math courses from other professors in the department? He is definitely better than other professors. I had him for Algebra, and my favorite prof. Hope you do well with your highschool attitude.
he was tough. if don't do work, then it doesnt matter how good the prof. I got an A, and he told me he will look at all work I did. I worked hard, and I got it!. The i read have nothing to do with him as a teacher. just complaining.
Perhaps one of my greatest math teachers...this guy can teach, and use humor at the same time! Excellent for people who are terrible at math. Just go to the tutoring sessions, and you will get an A. Definitely recommend him!
Professor Perry is an absolutely wonderful math professor he is very clear in his explanations so even students who never learned anythig like this before could understand it. He's also funny so it keeps your attention on him and the work. Overall he's just excellent and should never retire.
I had him for Calc 1 and I was very discouraged about this class. Yes, he knew what he was talking about and was pretty clear but he was just plain rude if you needed help. I wouldn't say completely avoid him but stay clear of his rudeness.
He was nice enough to allow me as a freshman into his sophomore class. It was very amuzing to go to his class. It was like parents: he thinks he is funny, but hes just plain embarrassing. Rarely collects homework, and never as a surprise. Make sure you truly understand the math or you wont pass the test.
probably the worst professor I have ever had. I have never gotten below a B in math in my life and I will probably fail and have to retake the class. Went to his office hours and he told me my questions were dumb. he is not clear on anything and expects you to know everything. he gives easy problems in class but they are super hard on the tests.
I think he is one of the best math professors I have had. I went to office hours and he asks questions, but you can tell he enjoys teaching. I think you take his comments the wrong way. Take a pill because you are probably don't know what you are doing. Two girls at the front are very annoying ... but other than that, I enjoy going to class.
He was a great teacher! He was always willing to help. I got a decent grade & math is not my strength. He offered study periods & I took advantage of them which I attribute to my success.
At first he may seem hard but as you go through the semester and practice some homework problems it will become easier. It is a lot of work though
Too much time covering stuff that isn't math and come quiz/test time there are problems we didn't go over!!
Easy class but he goes off on random tangents which makes class seem like a waste. I found myself skipping often since attendance isn't mandatory and the book is pretty straight forward. You only get through like 3 problems every class.
The first week I had him I wanted to drop out. The average for our first Calc IV exam was a 48% and I don't think the average for the retake was that much higher. He does help out if you ask questions, but if you don't you are going to fail if you take calc with him. He usually assigns problems from the book for every class but it's not graded.
By far the BEST math professor I have ever had. He has a very unique way of teaching, and it proves to be to the students advantages. Loves to send his students a bunch of emails about reminders and homework, which is very helpful. I would take his class over and over if I could. Great guy. Two thumbs up!
He's very funny and very sarcastic. If you can't take sarcasm very well, he is NOT the professor for you. He grades very hard, with him it's either right of wrong, there is no in between. You don't have to go to class, but if you don't, you'll more than likely fail. That basically goes for just about any math class.
Changed the way he teaches, now you have board days that you go up and present a question to the class from HW once a week- Easy grade! Lots of HW, but if you do it and study, he will know and make sure you do well in his class. Great Prof!
Have him for Differential Equations. I think 1/2 of the class dropped out and we still have 5 weeks left! He can be annoying but he genuinely wants to help you learn. He is a strict grader and he doesn't give partial credit, but as long as you do the homework and study for his exams you should get a good grade.
He's a funny guy and can be sarcastically funny. Gives out lots of online homework, weekly quizzes on material you learned, and does lots of boardwork/participation work. He's a sink or swim type of professor and attending class is not mandatory but might as well be. Okay professor at best. He rarely teaches too.
He isnt very helpful during class and doesnt teach at all. Has weekly quizzes that he doesnt prepare you for but instead has the tutor prepare you for during off-hours. Has lots of unrelated chapter homework online and makes math seem as if it is "obvious" to everyone. Prepare to work very hard and be very frustrated.
AWFUL. don't take him unless your really goooood at math. doesn't teach at all he has the students teach. he never taught once the whole semester. he sucks. most stressful class i've ever had
never teaches during the semester, requires you to do homework that is advanced beyond your knowledge, expects you to know new material by self teaching yourself all semester long and his final is easily one of the hardest. 75% of the class failed his class too.
he is very confusing and he will make the class harder than it really should be. More than half the class did not pass the quizzes and the tests. Final grade distribution was more than half got a C or lower. Do not take him if you do not have to! He will have you struggle to no end!
awful teacher he expects you to teach yourself and more than half the class failed. worst math teacher i have ever had. I went to the tutor every week and still ended up failing
He's good but not the best. He has expectations that are in tune with what people should know to consider themselves learned in calculus.I see many comments not to take him for being hard. These ppl in his algebra class r lazy, and expect it to be as easy as a history class where you read over notes. If you do your hw and ask questions u'll do well
If you are naturally good at math this class will be a breeze, if not you might struggle. It requires a lot of self teaching and a lot of homework. He is a nice and funny guy though. People complain about him but generally they were looking for an easy A, and this is not that class. But generally, if you have above average intelligence you'll pass.
The class was a joke. He taught practically nothing and had the students basically teach themselves how to do everything. In order to learn anything, you practically have to bend over backwards. I would highly recommend NOT taking his classes!
Every class was the students doing problems from the homework and having them explain them to the class. He makes sure you know the materials and each group pick that'd have to go up is random every day and if you don't show up then you don't get credit for that day. Took for college algebra ... it was so easy
Honestly, take my advice. Don't take this professor. Pick another
Honestly, my least favorite professor. He was very sarcastic and rude sometimes, and his "self-taught teaching system" is awful, though he thinks it's amazing. You have to do 3 homework assignments a week while teaching yourself all the material, then you do group boardwork each class, which is your participation grade.
Dr. Lee has one of the funniest personalities around. Great guy in general. With that being said, his class is pretty hard. If you're good at teaching yourself material, by all means take him. Though id say the biggest issue is his "inquiry based" teaching style. Coming from a typical high school math classroom to his class really threw me off
Lee is a great guy, really funny, down to earth and passionate about his teaching. That being said, there is a lot of times where you may need to teach yourself more than you're used to, as he'll lay out examples for you, and the basic ideas of how to do a problem, but as it gets more advanced you're on your own. He makes the class fun though.
Such a funny guy, however I felt he didn't do much teaching. Really have to learn the material for yourself. Attending classes didn't help me understand anything. Wouldn't take him again.
He does not teach, the students do. He expects you to know everything which is impossible.
I do not recommend taking any course offered by perry lee, he is the most unprofessional professor I have had at Kutztown and elsewhere. His class is very off topic, he makes more small talk with jokes and rude comments than actually teaching. He uses a self taught principle, where he does not teach and the students are expected to be self taught
I'm good at math, so know that... He is not always clear on what he is trying to get at, but he will definitely keep your attention. He tries his best but even I didn't know what he was asking for at some points. If you get the answer wrong he will just go with it until someone points out the mistake- in hopes YOU will notice. Careful!
Avoid this proffessor, you will regret taking him...... That is all i have to say!
This is one of the worst professors I've ever had. I had his lecture hall it was terrible. While taking his class I might not have learned much about math but I did learn about Perry Lee. This cat holds a high-up job with a nuclear plant that pays him a ton more than KU does. He retains his teaching job for benefits, doesn't care about students.
Hands down one of the best profs at Kutztown. You have online homework inbetween every class on mymathlab and you are expected to learn the material there and then he reviews it in class. The homework is tough but its very helpful. He is a great guy and is always happy to help. Go to the offered tutoring sessions and you're bound to get an A.
go to class and group presentations are very important, main thing find a tutor and he or she will help you a lot, really fun dude in class though keep class into it.
If you are someone who learns best with lots of example, avoid this class. Every class, we complete ONE or maybe two examples that take the entire class. No mymathlab so hard to get guided help. No calculators for most quizzes. HW for MWF is every Fri, randomly graded. In week 13 we're on week 4-5 according to syllabus. He's too busy being "funny."
If you want a professor who is going to teach you then don't take this class. Everything is online and the videos are other teachers from somewhere in the country showing you how to do 1 or 2 problems. I have always received A's in math and understood everything, but taking this class made me forget pretty much everything I've learned. Tutor needed
He holds clear lectures but he does give a ton of homework. However, doing all of the homework will ensure success on his quizzes and tests. I'd take him again if needed. Beware of the final exam for this class. It was insanely hard so don't wait last minute to study otherwise you might fail.
He's a nice guy, but his teaching style and my learning style don't match. CONSTANTLY goes off on tangents, we probably lost a class period's worth of time talking about pizza! Hard tests. He did weigh my final heavier (because I did better on it) because of my good class participation.
He assignes a ton of optional homework, but expects that you do it so you don't look dumb during boardwork. He's funny and easy to talk to. He Interacts with the whole class. He teaches the material and then expects you to do problems to reinforce the lecture.
Worst professor I had in 3 years at Kutztown. He should not get paid simply because he does not teach. You have to teach yourself using MML and take 30 question quizzes on what you taught yourself. In class he goes over the quizzes but you do not get a chance to retake them so whatever you get the first time is what you are stuck with. Homework!!!!
Dr. Lee teaches a lot of concepts in class and does few examples. He leaves the examples up to you to practice. He is a very challenging grader, but he does curve things for students. He curves based on the overall grade outcome, which is kind of odd but kind of awesome. He is funny sometimes and goes off on tangents a lot.
All of the negative below comments are accurate. He makes many awkward comments that make the students uncomfortable, however, he is a very nice person. You never need to go to class except on test days! He does not teach. You teach yourself through the homework examples and videos. Study for tests.
Great Professor! But if you do not show up to class you will not pass. Always there to help the student out as much as possible.
If you're good at math, it's an easy A if you do all the work. If you're not, I wouldn't recommend this class. There's about 3 hw assignments each week & a quiz almost every week. The quizzes & test are almost identical to the hw assignments. The final and last test were on lockdown browser. I took the class online so we had to purchase access code
After we took our first quiz he said that the results show a lack of algebraic understanding. Ok so maybe actually teach??? He is the worst. And I am not good at math so I end up having to teach myself the material. He's useless. It should just be an online class. Ugh
Perry Lee is the worst professor ive ever had! He's anything but helpful since he thinks its not his job to teach you anything. You teach yourself through online Homework, then in class he randomly calls people to do board work, then makes fun of you for not understanding material. Also he refuses to answer questions, just makes fun of you.
He is the worst prof I've ever had. He gives NO partial credit of tests, he'll just mark the answer wrong, or take off an unnecessary amount of points. His tests are also quite difficult. He barely teaches and goes off on tangents wasting more than half the class. And worst of all he tries too hard to be funny in a very strange way.
Never taught. Always text book work, be prepared to teach yourself. Calls names randomly up to board, not easy and quite embarrassing.
No no no no no, he's the worst professor of all time. He will not help you during class and expects you to know everything and doesn't teach. You have homework on material you haven't even learned yet. He does not care about your well being!!!! Tries to be funny but honestly I just want to learn due to the fact that my grade is struggling.
If you dont remember anything from highschool, prepare to teach yourself. He doesnt teach and gives homework on topics you havent learned yet so youre on your own to learn algebra. During class he just goes over 2 or so problems and spends 25 minutes on each because he interrupts the students and makes not funny jokes.
doesn't teach you, but rather you have to teach yourself. we spent EVERY CLASS focusing on THREE PROBLEMS. all homework was online, positive we didn't reach that stuff. when in quarantine, still feel I learned nothing. said weird jokes, calls you by last name yet pronounced it wrong all semester. very uncomfortable to talk to & be around.
We do 4 equations A WEEK!!! Never go over quizzes or homework. His teaching and the questions he asks on the quizzes are awkwardly worded making the simplest of math problems difficult to understand. I took Applied Statistics (math 140) before this class and received an A-. But for college algebra... B-, it was a tedious nightmare
Makes jokes that are not funny to anyone but him. Mostly rude to students, but he thinks hes being funny. Makes you feel bad for answering incorrectly. Does not remember anything, I told him my computer camera was cracked over for weeks and still every class he would ask why my camera was off.
I do not recommend him. He has poor teaching skills and does 1 problem per class on the topic and next class youre on the next unit doing 1 question in class again. He tries to be funny and isnt and also makes me uncomfortable. Hes not very nice either.
This guy is funny as hell you just need to do the homework and put in the study time and you will be fine.
Dr. Lee knows what he's doing, but sometimes makes things hard to understand. Also I had to take his class over zoom, so I don't know how he is in person. He makes a lot of jokes, and sometimes goes off tangents, which can be annoying in certain situations. He expects you to be on top of everything you've learned in the past.
I have never gotta less than a B in any math class. I think the combo of online and him relying on Hawkes Learning really screwed up everything. He blamed my difficulties on me and did not help me understand the material. I felt like he did not care about my grades. He gets sidetracked, never answers questions clearly, and makes rude jokes.
Hes alright. Makes sure that youre paying attention and that youre on top of everything youve learned in the past. Have frequent quizzes which were difficult but fair. Overall an decent guy and Professor.
As long as you pay attention and ask questions when you need to you'll be fine in Dr. Lee's class. I wouldn't call him a lenient grader, but he always gave partial credit and sometimes he would talk about things he looks out for when grading quizzes. Would recommend.
Just push yourself to do the homework, which is hard, and you'll do good in the class. The homework is meant to throw you headfirst into the material, which is why it is tough, but it's why it works.
Perry Lee is probably the worst professor in the entire history of the Kutztown math department. He is condescending and arrogant. None of his behavior is actually conducive for learning, it seems to be for his own amusement. Despite what he says, he is NOT a professional. And you are better off avoiding him.
Dr Lee may know a lot about mathematics, but he obviously never learned how to treat people respectfully. He acts like the material is self explanatory. If he treated his coworkers or bosses the same way he treats his students, he wouldn't have a job. It is not surprising he chose to be a mediocre prof just to get away with his behavior. Avoid.
Do not take any classes taught by this professor. He acts like he invented math. He doesn't understand that his job as a professor is to guide and support students to learn the material. He treats all his students like they know absolutely nothing. Whatever point he is trying to make is lost in his own arrogance.
Doesn't follow notes, reads straight from the book or from memory. Frequently makes mistakes and ridicules students who point them out. And then spends the majority of lectures yelling questions about the material that he is currently trying to explain. Not a good person or teacher.
If you like the idea of having a professor who treats everyone like s*** , then he's your guy!
Wow, everyone told me that this professor is the worst professor at Kutztown. I didn't believe it, but he really is that bad.
Highly recommend not taking this professor. Half of the things he talks about are not related to mathematics and are not entertaining. He is a miserable person who enjoys putting people down. He will treat you like you don't know the difference between your head and the hole in the ground. What's the point in putting up with it?
They really picked some terrible professors to teach College Algebra here. Lee is by far the worst professor at Kutztown.
Dr. Lee is the worst professor ever. He is absolutely terrible & has zero respect for his students. I would not recommend taking his class at all. He gets side tract a lot and rarely goes over work. Sure, he can be interactive and funny at times, but it doesn't help the students who are really struggling.
Perry Lee is not a good professor. The mathematics department would be better off if he wasn't there. He acts like all concepts are obvious because he's taught them for so long and he treats students who try to contribute like they are idiots and undeserving of respect. I really hope someone opens up a formal ethics complaint to deter his abuse.
A lot of people trashing Dr. Lee here either aren't good at basic concepts or can't take a joke. Dr. Lee is good professor and if you actually put your best foot forward he will help you out.
If you do not remember or know anything about algebra do not take this class. He basically just assumes you know everything and his lectures make no sense as he jumps around and doesn't go into detail. He also thinks he is super funny and jokes with students but it is honestly just inappropriate.
Perry has no respect for any of his students. Most people think he is in the position because he likes going on power trips. He was probably bullied growing up, but that's no excuse for the way he treats students.
Oh my goodness please don't ever chose him for a calc 1 or calc 2 course PLEASE!!! I'm literally looking out for you. I am a pre-med major with 3 minors and Dr. Lee has been BY FAR the 2nd worst teacher I've ever had. You can go to as many office hours as you want, you are still guaranteed to fail at least 3 of his quizzes.
The worst professor I've ever had. He doesn't teach anything and you do one problem per class. He tries making jokes all class and none of them are funny. Online work, and you have to use that to teach yourself. He goes over nothing in class, all he does is make fun of students. Highly recommend dropping before it's too late.
He doesnt really teach you anything at all. He will call you out infront of the class when he knows you dont understand.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Perry Lee is not a good professor, the most we did in class was go over 4 math problems. He does not have a D2L page, nor have any structured chapter slides/powerpoints. We have quizzes every other week and homework on Hawkes Learning, which isn't too bad but you mostly have to teach yourself the chapters.
Professor Lee can be hit-or-miss, but the class is manageable if you stay on top of the material. Frequent quizzes keep you engaged, and using study aids like unstuckstudy alongside the textbook helps a lot.
This class was incredibly hard! Lee would spend half the class sometimes going on random tangents about nonsense, he would also take 50 minutes to do a singular problem. Whenever you tried to get help, he would degrade you and make you feel horrible. I forgot a basic concept, he told me to go back to calc 1. Would never take again!! Very rude
He gives a lot of homework that isn't helpful. He talks the whole class about random things and teachers for about 20 mins. It's basically a review class he expects you to know everything.
He is insane. He does maybe 1 problem per class and then spends the rest of the time rambling about anything else. He has attendance as 20% of your grade, and he makes fun of anyone who participates. He made a girl cry within a week. He yells at people, expects you to know the material ahead of time 0/5, do not take
He barely taught during class. He would ramble about something or make fun of someone. He would call on you randomly and just expect you to know the answer. He also gives out lots of homework on a website called HawksLearning, an additional 100 dollars you have to pay. He also expected you to know the material prior to coming to class.
The worst professor I have ever had. I would avoid any of his sections at all costs. If you have to take differential equations/calculus for your major, take it with someone else. He gives feedback on your performance in front of other students to make you feel terrible - inappropriate. Not one faculty member has a nice thing to say about him.
Homework is manageable, but difficult. While his class isn't impossible, it's not for the faint of heart. He picks on students and embarrasses them for getting things wrong. Spends all of class doing 1-2 problems and then goes on some off-topic tangent. However, he explains things decently well, and there's lots of practice material available.
I used the syllabus HE provided to calculate my grade which was a B, so after adjustment of some scores I SHOULD have had a B+ by >1%. Instead I got a B. I emailed him about it and his response was that I had a B- prior to adjustment and that my grade after was a B. This is impossible as the website it showed I had an 85% BEFORE the adjustment.
If you can take ANY class with someone else instead of him, DO IT
This professor is very difficult to learn from. He tries too hard to be funny and often goes off topic. He isn't very supportive of DSO students who need accommodations and can make you feel discouraged instead of helped. Communication with him is extremely frustrating, and the class overall is unnecessarily hard. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
Absolutely do NOT take this course if you struggle with algebra like me!! Does maybe four to five question within 50 minutes and half of the time hes telling jokes and stories that aren't related, I like when professors do this but he does this all the time and gets side track so many times. These negative reviews about him were accurate.
Never have I ever met a professor so intolerant, unforgiving, and unprofessional as this one. He just talks at us and doesn't actually explain what it is he's teaching. He does not get the hint when we're 4 weeks into class and still no one can answer his questions in class. Told him I had drill (a legal obligation); told me it was my problem. 0/10
Dr. Lee is an acquired taste. He has a very dry sense of humor, if you're sensitive I wouldn't reccomend him. He does go on tangents, but his explanations are very clear. If you're decent at math you should be able to get by pretty easily. Homework is more frustrating, but only worth 10% anyway. Quizzes are based off of lectures. Loved his class.
He has quizzes every 2 weeks that are 45% of your grade but, he is flexible and will allow you to retake them if you speak to him. He explains concepts very well. Just put in the work, and you'll be okay
Professor tries too hard to be the “funny” and “cool” professor to the point it makes it hard to learn the subject. Every point made by the professor is broken up within 3 jokes and 1 long tangent on a ridiculous story. He does this daily and then wonders why no one can answer questions about the material. He gives quizzes every other week.
I understand the bad reviews, but in my experience, Prof. Lee is a great professor. He gives feedback on quizzes and tries to make classes interesting, even if that is his humor that not everyone gets. He offers help and makes the class way easier for those who ask questions and put in great effort. For those who don't, it will be more difficult.
