He is soooo easy especially if you already know the basics to a computer. If you understand want an easy A take this class.

Wonderfull teacher. He shows you how to do things on the computer, and while the class is doing work, he's always on the move helping students who need it. Highly recommended.

If anyone is going to take a computer class, I suggest taking Pete Aleman aka Professor Pete. He has a very friendly and caring personality. He is VERY helpful and he makes his lectures entertaining. I learned a lot in his class. So if you want to become more computer literate sign up for his class NOW!!

Prof. Pete is so awesome he teaches by showing u what u have to do then u have the rest of the class time to do the assignment, I like classes that are like done like that becasue that is how I learn the best. If u have to take this class take it with pete aleman or any other type of computer class trust me it is worth it.

I did not want to have to take this class, but Prof. Pete made it such a wonderful experience. He has aroused my interest and I may want to take further classes in computer from him

I have always been computer literate, so I came into this class thinking it was going to be so easy that it would be boring. But Aleman makes the course interesting with his sense of humor and helpfulness. Even if you know alot about computers...you will still leave that class with something.

One of the best professors you will ever have. Probably the most approachable professor I've had at CCSN. His examples and lectures are so clear and brilliant, you can't help but be smarter at the end of them.

He is an awesome professor. I have recently dropped the 2 computer classes I had tried taking before because they were so borrring! He really brings light to the situation, keeps it fun and always interesting even if you already know the stuff. I highly recommend his class to anyone needing to take the IS 101 course!!!!!!

Mr. Aleman is a very good professor, you have to do the homework and exercises,but don't miss the classes and that's it. Very clear and one of the best professors on CSN.

Prof. Aleman is so awesome! If you ever get confused, he'll answer your question in anyway possible until you get it! If you need extra credit, he'll give you something to do! He wants you to succeed and does what he can to make sure you do.

Great teacher! His style is laid back, but you need to do the work in orrder to get the material. No matter if you are a beginer to experienced computer user you will get something out of his class.

The teacher was very helpful and as long as you do the exercises, you'll pass. Some the exercises will also help you get familiar with Openoffice, even though the material was for Office 2007.

PPP is a very well organized professor and he definately knows what he is doing. PPP makes his class very fun and interactive. It is an easy course because of the clear instructions he gives. PPP is very helpful.

He is a great teacher! I haven't met anyone who took his class and didn't enjoy it! He's VERY patient! Great for first time computer users! He teaches you EVERYTHING clearly and can repeat himself many times for you to understand. I recommend him to EVERYONE! You'll learn a lot and get a good grade (if you do your work and attend the class).

A nice professor and a class that will help your GPA. If you don't get an A in his class than you probably should drop out of school. I wish the class was a little more in depth, however that's not his fault as it is a 101 course.

Prof. Aleman is the nicest teacher ever. He's almost toooooo nice sometimes. Class is an easy A if you do your work. Yeah, you need your book to do all the workbook exercises--nothing difficult. YOU HAVE TO TRY REALLLLY REALLY HARD to fail this class and if you do, just...just stop going to school.

Prof Pete is the most helpful professor I have ever had. He is very patient, has a great sense of humor, and should be rated as the greatest professor in the universe.

Probably the best prof at CSN. A great guy who will do what ever it takes to help you succeed in that class. He helped me when i was in a pinch, and worked with me while i missed classes and did his tests and assignments at home. Amazing teacher. Take him forsure. You will regret it if you don't.

Easiest A that I have ever made in college. He is a great guy, help out if you have any questions. Attendance is only mandatory in a few lectures at the beginning and a couple at the end.

He is great indeed, I agree! However, he tells you that the actual test questions are taken straight from the practice one, but it is not true, so do not rely on that! They are similar to it, yet very confusing and different. All the information is given in the lessons, so it is possible to still do well. Otherwise great and helpful teacher!

Took this class online and it was easy. All you have to do is read the book, take the tests, do the projects, and the homework you will receive an A. He doesn't overwhelm you with unnecessary work. And if you have questions he answers email quickly.

Took online and extremely easy. Learned a lot of useful things. Online class so clear that never had to contact instructor for any questions. Required Angel and also Sam2010 log on to do tests and some projects but really helpful and easy program.

Awesome professor and easy class. If you need to learn how to use or want to know more about Microsoft Office, take this class. Most of the work you can complete at home as long as you have Microsoft Office 2010. Overall fun and easy class!

If you have ever used microsoft word, excel, or powerpoint this class will be a breeze. He mainly teaches shortcuts and basic uses for those programs. He is a nice teacher and is very good at helping you if you are having problems. The book is a must.

I took this class online. It was the easiest A I've ever gotten. You have 5 tests. If you pass them all with 75 or better you get an A. You get 3 chances per test too, which makes it impossible to fail even if you have never used word, excel, and powerpoint. Just do the tutorials and skim the book. No due dates, just finish tests by end of semester

Easy. Almost no homework, only about an hour of it each week, which you just do in class. Tests are relatively easy. This class is basic computer stuff that everyone should know how to do anyways. He is the most friendly professor ever.

You have three tests. To get an A you need to pass these three tests on the first try. You do not need to attend class after you pass these three tests. The textbook for IC3 is not required, but is recommended. I did not buy it because it was too expensive and not necessary. I tested out of the class easily. Professor can be cocky, but he's nice.

Professor Pete is very helpful, his IS 101 class has no homework and only 3 tests. The tests are passfail. You pass all 3 tests and you receive an A. You are able to retake the tests as many times as you want. If you need extra help he is more than willing to help. He is excellent. His class is extremely easy.

Pete is incredibly down to earth, and straight to the point. All you have to do is pass the exams, and you're good to go. Answers any questions given, and is always willing to help.

3 Tests. You pass them you get an A. Simple as that.

Theres 3 test you have to take you pass them all you get an A. BUT if you dont know Word, Excel, or Acess get ready to READ AND STUDY ON YOUR OWN TIME. He is such a sweet guy but he will not teach you all you need to know for the tests in class too much to cover If you dont pass all the test you fail the class super nice guy easy A otherwise.

This is a pass or fail class! There are 3 exams you have to pass to get an A, If you fail you can buy another voucher and try again. The professor gave us free practice test voucher on request, but beware some of the practice tests are harder than the actual test! He truly sets you up to succeed by providing study material & unit guide lines.

He is straightforward and organized. You have to pass 3 tests to get an A. You can repeat tests but you have to wait 48 hours, so dont wait to the last week because you may run out of time. The first test seem to me the most difficult, I found the book very helpful, better than videos from SAM web

He gives no homework and no assignments, you just have to pass the certification exam. It's 3 tests (40 questions each) that you have to do onsite. Just do them all in the same day and you will get an A. If you don't do all of them, you fail. If you know computing basics it will be easy. I googled study material and didn't even buy the book.

This is a pass (A) or fail (F) course where you take 3 tests and get a computer literacy certificate for passing them all. Must pass them all to get an A but you can buy another test code and try again. The SAM assignments and GMetrix helped me the most. I didn't use the book but I needed the SAM code inside to watch the videos. Great professor! :)

What was great about this class with Professor Pete Aleman was that, once you pass your 3 ic3 exams you don't have to show up to class any longer! I literally learned a lot more in his class then I did in Professor Patrica Drevons, how ever you spell her name. He really shows you everything. Great Guy! Take him for CSN IS101!

Professor Pete rocks! His lectures are helpful and you do the assignments at your own pace. If you can pass the tests early, you dont have to go to class anymore!

I took Professor Aleman on my first semester at CSN, and he was my favorite. The three tests are easy to pass, especially the second one. Professor Aleman was a great guy and respects his students. If you need to take IS101 take him. Your grade is based off of whether you pass the three tests or not. Pass all the testsA, don't pass themF

Took this class just to get full time credit. Great and patient instructor. Very easy going, and lets you know upfront how he likes to run class. There for any and all questions and will take time out of class to help others if need be (not always a good thing though). If you feel you can pass the tests ahead of time, he will let you.

Professor Pete is great! I took IS101 online because of COVID, but he was always available by email to answer my questions and is very quick to respond. He definitely wants all of his students to get A's. The class is a lot of modules and projects, but it's not hard. If this class is a requirement for you, definitely take Professor Pete.

I was nervous taking IS 101 because there was a lot of reviews that said it was a hard class to pass in general. IS 101 covers Microsoft, Excel, and PowerPoint in depth. Luckily for me it wasnt hard because Im computer illiterate. Professor Pete cares about his students and wants you to pass. I highly recommend taking his class.

Prof Pete cares about his students and genuinely wants them to learn. His response time to questions is exceptionally quick even on the weekends. He uses a third party site for assignments and provides good instructional videos for each assignment. You can also find help on YouTube specific to the course.

Passionate about the subject, very helpful and encouraging! Accessible and responsive to emails. The course will keep you engaged, because its all practice and simulation online. It can be time consuming if information systems is new to you. Easy either way. I recommend everyone take this course. Its very necessary in todays society.

Professor Aleman was great! The course is simple. You will have to purchase a separate thing to do the assignments for the course and at the end you can choose to get certified in Microsoft skills. He is very inspirational and would send emails to us weekly to check up on us. Can finish the class in 8 weeks and less too with an amazing grade.

Professor Aleman is great. He guides his students well through the course. Although this is an online class, He is available for any questions you may have! He also helps students through difficult topics with more practice. Just don't procrastinate because there is homework that will stack up if you don't do them! Otherwise, great online course!

I took this class Spring 2022 and it's my easiest class compared to all my classes at csn. Checks up on us every week and adds stories that would inspire you. Everything was all in TestOut and it was essentially a basics Microsoft Office course. You do it at your own pace and by the end, youll have the muscle memory to take the Microsoft Cert Exam.

I took Pete's IS101 class and it was really easy. Everything is due at the end of the semester(he does have recommended due dates so you dont fall too behind),& always sends emails through Canvas telling us inspirational stories or letting us know how behind we are. Everything was done in TestOut. Got my Microsoft Office certs because of him! tysm!

Pete aleman is a great professor, he helps every student out in a very fast manner. I definitely felt like the work was very simple and self explanatory, just know I took this class with other high work demanding classes, and still passed with an A and all of the certifications that are offered here. Thank you professor for the microcertifications!

THE best professor this campus has to offer. He has multiple resources to make sure all his students succeed in his class. I am horrible at Computer Science and was ignorant at not taking advantage of the certification exams, but thank you so much Professor Aleman for your philosophy and your gracious attitude this semester. You will be missed!

This class is a lot of work. However, Professor Pete does the most in the ways he can. He responds fast to students and is very understanding as long as you're showing effort. He knows his class is a lot so on exams he prepares an outline of which assignments that take priority to prepare well for the exam. I would highly recommend taking him.

Very nice professor, and entertaining as well. Most of this class is super easy but a bit tedious and time consuming. I'd definitely take it again though.

A very simple class, we used a different website that acted as a simulator for Microsoft word, excel, and powerpoint. It did seem like a lot of work given within a small amount of time at first, but when starting the work, it went by so quick, I could finish a whole unit within a day. The exams are in person, but they only last 50 minutes.

All assignments through program called TestOut. You must pay for it yourself. He does not minus points for late work and grades it like normal. A few discussion posts. 3 in person Microsoft exams. You become Microsoft certified after. This prof is one of the best out of the others. Sends weekly updates
