great teacher. makes information super easy to learn. just memorize bones and muscles and you will do fine. tests are straight forward.
Great teacher! Knows the information very well, and is always very responsive to emails!
I had Peter for BMS 107 lab and he is awesome!! He wasn't the professor for the class but took over lab. He is funny and energetic in class. Loves the subject and is really nice and SO easy to get along with. He's awesome I wish he taught the class.
I had Peter for anatomy lab. Very helpful, very funny, very knowledgeable and made lab a pleasure. Related anatomy to real life situations and sports related problems. Would take him for a class again in a heartbeat.
Peter is a great and passionate teacher. The reason why I found his course easy was because I showed up to most of the classes and did my homework. If you just attend class you'll do great. I had him for Concept of Physical Fitness class and it was great! Really fun, funny and extremely knowledgable!
Definitely the best anatomy teacher at the school. Class is tough but he is an excellent teacher and is always available to help. Very friendly. Absolutely deserves his 5.0 score.
Peter is an excellent teacher. Clear, straight to the point and completely willing to answer all your questions in detail. Just review ppts online the days before lecture and study for the tests and you'll be fine. You are allowed to use notes on lab quizzes so lab is super easy. Don't get me wrong, you will gain lots of knowledge from this class!
SUPER HELFUL!! He relates all material to real everyday situations
Amazing teacher who does not dumb down lecture but makes a tough subject quite understandable. only teacher i have had who makes an three hour lecture from 6-9PM fly by. Great guy who seems to not only have a passion for the subject but a passion for instilling knowledge into his students. Hella funny as well.
Hands down the best anatomy professor! He passes his love of anatomy to all his students and keeps you awake the entire time. The material could be a little challenging but he does a great job relating it to real life situations, and its easy to understand. He's always there to help! My fav class at SBCC. Definitely take him!!!!!
By far one of the best teachers I've had! He has a great sense of humor, keeps the class interesting and is always willing to help.
Peter was my favorite teacher I have ever had. He is awesome! He remembers everyones name in the class by a week and is very engaging and intelligent. He is funny, patient, and helpful. This class is HARD. I got an A but you need to study at least 3 hours a day to succeed. It doesnt matter what teacher you have this class is very difficult. Study!!
Peter is amazing professor, if you're going to take BMS 107 hands down take it with him! This is by no means an easy class, but his passion and dedication to the subject and his students is apparent in every lecture. He is more than happy to answer any questions and help during office hours. He provides a study guide for each exam.
By far my favorite teacher at SBCC, he makes materials seem so clear and straight forward. Labs are extremely fun and interesting.
amazing
Peter is an amazing guy and teacher! You can tell he really cares about the students. This subject is a difficult one in general but he does what he can to simplify it or explain it in multiple ways so that everyone gets it! I definitely suggest him! Just stay organized!
Great guy. He's a bit dorky but it makes him endearing and likeable. The class is easy... So far. But I feel that as long as students go to his office hours and take notes and take notes from lecture, it should be an easy class. Peter is funny, nice and very helpful. Would take him for anatomy.
Best teacher SBCC has to offer. Super down-to-earth, helpful, funny, energetic, and truly loves the subject. Go to office hours, ask questions, take any chance you can get for extra help. This class is EXTREMELY difficult. Peter will help you so much if you reach out to him. Highly recommend.
makes the class fun! At first I didn't know if I would like science or learning about the human body but he makes it interesting. I used the book every once and awhile but for the most part his lectures are clear.
Peter is amazing! He definitely loves what he teaches making it that much more of an interesting class!
Great teacher! He even does night classes too so if he can keep me awake then that means he doesn't put the class to sleep. He brings energy into his classroom and really knows his stuff, I do not regret taking him. Best teacher if you're trying to get through anatomy but of course like ANY science class it is important to read and study.
Peter's a cool guy. The only bad things about his class, aside from trying to memorize all the muscles and bones plus their structures and functions, is on test days. You have a lecture immediately after taking a test. Which really sucks! Plus, he does not give you your test back. You only get your quizzes back. Office hours are always busy.
GREAT TEACHER! THE CLASS IS VERY CHALLENGING BUT IF YOU PUT A LOT OF EFFORT AND TIME YOU WILL DO GREAT!I REALLY ENJOYED LEARNING ABOUT THE HUMAN BODY.
Peter is one of the best teachers i have had so far. He makes everything crystal clear to understand. He is super approachable, nice, and always willing to help his students. I would recommend peter for BMS 100, and 107. If you attend his office hours you will probably get an A!
The lecture notes don't line up with the text book! The lab quizzes are deliberately impossible. exam question are confusing and poorly worded. The book is awful and docent like up with the class at all. he grades spelling like I'm in the 3rd grade again. Do not take this class unless you must. i watch the cal Berkley lectures online and crashcours
Anatomy is a hard class but Peter makes it as easy as possible. Go to his office hours if you want to get the most possible from this class. He is passionate about the subject, his students, and life! If you don't think you're ready for this course, my advice is to take his BMS 100 class first.
Peter is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. His lectures are clear and interesting. He doesn't rush through material so you have time to understand and take notes. Fun and interesting labs as well. Lets you use your notes on every quiz. Pay attention, take notes, and study and you will get an A. Willing to help and answer questions.
Great class. Peter does a tremendous job of creating a learning environment around everyone! Still wondering if you should take this class at SBCC? Just do it, give it a shot. You might just get out knowing how interesting anatomy is with Peter as your instructor.
Peter is a great teacher who cares about his students and wants to make the material relatable and easy to understand so the students will understand. He is definitely the best teacher I've had at CC.
Wants student to succeed. Know his material, organized, hard working!
Peter is Awesome. You must take his class!! Best teacher I have ever had! I recommend to take BMS 100 before 107, it will help on every level. This is a science class so of course it is not easy but Peter makes it as easy as he can and is ALWAYS there to help you out. You can really tell he cares for his students and enjoys his job.
I absolutely loved this class. It was hard because there is a lot to learn and memorize, but if you work hard and study exactly the way they teach you, you will pass! Don't give up... GO TO OFFICE HOURS!!! GO TO OPEN LAB!!!!! ASK FOR HELP!! USE YOUR TUTORS!!! I worked my @$$ off and passed with an A!! It is possible, you just have to WORK for it!
Peter is amazing . Best teacher and so far my favorite class. Take Peter if you want to laugh and want a very helpful teacher .
best teacher at cc by far. he's super clear in his lectures. i wish i took him in ab but chris grant wasn't that bad. hes also very funny and sexual and makes the 3 hour lecture worth while! go to class too, you'll miss a lot if you don't go
Peter is one of the best professors I ever had during my four years at SBCC. He's clear, helpful, fair, and treats you like a friend. He memorized all of our names within the first two weeks of class. I learned so much in his class and was inspired to learn more. We got to work with real cadavers for goodness sake! Awesome class awesome guy.
This is my second class i have taken with Peter and by far he is the best professor and teacher i have had in all of my schooling. His lectures are clear and concise and is always willing to help you if you put in the effort and of course go to his office hours!! After getting to know Peter i know he will be an ally and mentor for years to come.
Took Peters BMS 100 class and it was fun. Peter will only quiz on what he teaches. Peter is exceptional in helping a student out. Peters classes are pretty funny and makes the material fun. He is very enthusiastic about what he teaches. Very clear presentations and a great class before taking Anatomy, for which he is my teacher now, Recommend A++++
I took Peter for anatomy and absolutely loved it. He is by far the best teacher I have had, very helpful and really wants you to enjoy the class and do well. If you utilize your lab time, do the homework and stay on top of lectures you can get an A.
Peter's great. Very personable guy, clear teaching ability, and fun labs. Really couldn't ask for much better. BMS is not my major, but Peter made it enjoyable and interesting.
Best Instructor I have had at CC! Absolutely LOVED his class!! Make sure you study.. like 2 or 3 hours a day! It's a lot of memorization. But will set you up for a god foundation to go onto Physiology! If you have the time I would recommend taking BMS 100 first! But take it with PETER!! You won't regret it.
Very handsome! But he makes class very fun and easy if you just do what you're asked as a student; participate, read and study!!!
Peter is an awesome guy and en even more awesome teacher. Had to take BMS 107 twice b/c i didn't study my first time. You really have to earn your grade in that class, especially in lab. Key to this class is studying everyday for at least an hour and if you are unsure about anything, he'll clear it up for you. highly recommend
Peter is such an inspiring professor!! He is an extremely nice guy and loves to crack jokes which makes class enjoyable. Exams can be tough, but as long as you study you should do well! Highly recommend his class to anyone interested in the human body or anatomy.
Best Teacher I have ever had. He is very clear, and gives multiple perspectives on one area. He is really there to help you and wants his students to learn, not just pass the class.
Peter Aguliar, Best teacher I have had at City College. Although the material is challenging, he does an amazing job of teaching it. Super funny, helpful and is truly passionate about the course. Although its hard, I rec commend him 100%
Peter is awesome! Took this class during summer and it was intense. Passing Anatomy with a good grade is definitely possible as long you STUDY! Also, open labs are available to students weekly, so take advantage !
Peter was amazing! took this class over the summer & yes there was definitely a lot of info to memorize but he really tried to get everyone to understand as much as he could. if you participate during lab and actually study the specimen/cadavers, you'll do fine in lab. He says the book isn't mandatory, but I actually used it a lot for exams/quizzes
Very fun instructor; Keeps the class interesting with humor and his obvious passion for the human body!Gives chances of extra credit on test and in lab but you must be present in order to take the extra credit quiz at the end of lab. Highly recommended instructor.
Peter is hands down the BEST professor I've ever had!! He's the nicest guy, is super funny and is extremely passionate about the human body which makes sitting through a 3 hours lecture really easy! It's not an easy class but he is super accessible to all his students and really takes the time to answer any and all questions! 100% would recommend!!
He is the best professor SBCC has. These classes are hard but he is always there to support his students. Very clear what he expects of students.
Absolutely loved this guy. Peter is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. His lectures are long, but his funny personality makes the time fly by. Very knowledgable and passionate about the human anatomy. 100% recommend!! Ps: Peter is a huge Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, so make sure to chant "GO BIG RED" and he'll love you for life
Wow all I can say is he is one of my favorite people on this planet! Best professor I've ever had, smart, funny, extremely kind, and a friend for life. Take his classes you won't regret it! This is the third class of taken from Peter, cause I just can't get enough! Will do whatever he can go make you successful in the class.
Great teacher..... great at answering questions... gives you heads up on what you really need to know... makes class fun and interesting... great attitude... cares about his students
Peter is the best! Super funny, great lectures, and he is very helpful. Anatomy is a lot of material, definitely have to go to every lecture and lab to learn. Peter and his tutors have multiple office hours throughout every week that are extremely helpful! Would definitely recommend Peter!
You will learn to love anatomy and gain a lot of respect for the medical field.
Peter is AWESOME!! He gives you everything you need to succeed, but you HAVE to put in work. Physiology is challenging, but Peter makes it fun. One less MT than other professors teaching same course, straightforward test questions, & passionate about his field. He really cares about your success, if you NEED phys take Peter. Its hard, but worth it
Put in 3 hours a day, you'll get an A. Go to office hours, & all open labs. Its a hard course, but he makes it enjoyable
What's not to say about Peter? He is a real gem of a professor and human being. I took his class for both Anatomy + Physiology and really enjoyed both. Peter is funny, and knows how to simplify things. I recorded his lectures, and found it extremely helpful. Outlines are what you need to focus on, book is supplemental. Work hard + you will do well!
Peter is hands down THE BEST professor at sbcc. Its not an easy course but if you put the work in its worth it. He is funny, caring and helpful. He genuinely cares about all his students and makes lab and lecture super fun and worth while. Its all about how much time you put into his class. He's the best.
Needn't mention, Peter is exceptional. Plan to read and study anywhere from 3-6 hours daily; assuming you want a good grade. Having gotten an A+, I studied, 4-8 hours daily, I did study ahead though. IMPORTANT, buy the optional online software Wileyplus. It was my secret weapon. It has all the chapters, BUT, only consist of the information needed.
Peter is a great person. Labs are fun and organized. He keeps lectures simple and to the point. You need the packets on canvas. If you go strictly off his lecture notes you are missing A LOT of info. I think the main thing I disliked about the class is that regardless of bad wording of the question or answers he will never offer to give you credit
Peter is the best professor for Anatomy and Physiology. Took him for both classes and he really makes sure you understand the material. He can talk fast at times but he is great at teaching and lets you know what is very important to study for the quizzes and tests. Record his lectures and labs. The class is not easy but go to BRAIN for extra help.
He makes the hard class seem so much fun
Hes an awesome teacher and has a sense of humor this class is really intense but he makes it fun I had a D in the class and studied hard for the exams and everything else and if he sees your trying and going to open labs etc he takes it into consideration I ended up passing the class with a B overall nice guy intense work but its fun
If you are lucky enough to get a space in his class get ready to give 110%. Anatomy/Physiology are not easy and will require massive amounts of study time. He is passionate about what he teaches, hilarious, and good looking too. Attend the BRAIN tutoring sessions and this class will be a breeze. Use a whiteboard to practice spelling for Lab portion
Peter is so awesome, if you are taking any anatomy/physiology class I would definitely recommend him. He is extremely hilarious and makes the context very interesting. Also, he cares a lot about his students and is always available to help! Consider BRAIN!!
Peter is an amazing teacher, the course is very challenging but his lectures and the way he describes subjects is amazing, really great personality but if you skip class you will be lost I guarantee you that. 10/10 would recommend
Peter is the best! So funny and makes anatomy really fun. I changed my major after taking this class because I no longer found it something I want to do, but he still kept me engaged. Lots of small assignments that sort of help ur grade, but tests and quizzes are so important! study hard for literally 15 hours minimum a week!
He makes a hard class feel less stressful. Really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Dont miss class. Do all your assignments online, study everything he gives you! Youll do well!
Peter is awesome. I took Anatomy with him over the summer with lab in class. I didn't use the textbook although I did use the Atlas, which in my opinion is necessary. He's engaging and hilarious as he makes the material fun and interesting. He's available for office hours and at any reasonable time outside of class.
Peter is the best professor I have ever had! He teaches so clearly and gives you many opportunities to get an A in the course. It's not an easy class but Peter makes it as enjoyable as possible.
Peter is the best Professor I have ever had in my 3 years at SBCC. I have never met someone more passionate about the subject they teach and more caring for the students in his class. He is hilarious and I loved going to his lectures. Anatomy as a subject takes time, so be aware. If you have to take ANY class and you can take it with him, do it.
I almost didn't take this class bc I was afraid it would be too hard during summer but I am so glad I did. Peter is BY FAR the best professor I've ever had. He makes a hard subject very doable and genuinely wants you to succeed. Don't bother reading the textbook, just use his lecture outlines. Finished with over 100% bc of all the EC he offers.
Anatomy is a fascinating subject but the material can be tough. You will have to spend hours studying for labs and exams to pass with a decent grade, especially in the summer. Peter made every class enjoyable, His passion for teaching shines. One of the best professors at SBCC. Highly recommend taking his class!
Fantastic Professor! By the nature of the course, it's going to be hard but I think Peter genuinely cares about your success. He makes every lecture as fun and interesting as possible. He is also really easy to talk to if you have questions about the material or need help/advise to do well in the class. You won't regret taking his class.
Peter is such an amazing teacher!! He really wants his students to succeed and will everything he can to help! Make sure you study a lot and you should be fine! Very clear with his expectations!! Makes lectures and lab really fun. Even with the corona virus he did everything he could to help us. Peter is the best
Peter is absolutely the best! I took him for both anatomy and physiology. These are tough classes but if you put in the time & work, you will succeed! Highly recommend Peters class. Defiantly go to office hours.
if you need to take 107 & 108 take it with Peter! he's by far the BEST teacher I've taken at SBCC he's so kind and really wants you to pass his class! he makes lecture fun and has anatomy dad jokes lol. GO TO LECTURE! even if you want to skip the 3 hour lecture GO because everyday is IMPORTANT and he always mentions things that will be on the exam.
This online summer class was all based on lab and lecture quizzes and 3 exams (including final). Very fast paced so you had to obtain a lot of information. Lectures were available to anyone even if you couldn't attend. He does care about his student but you must study in order to succeed in this class! He gives extra credit opportunities.
PETER IS MY FAVORITE PROFESSOR. HE LOVES TO TEACH AND YOU CAN TELL. If I could take Peter for every class I would. If you don't study you won't do very well. But if you are also in college and are not studying then you should probably not be here anyway.. Peter is awesome
Peter is hands down the BEST professor I have ever had. He's so passionate about the material he teaches and truly wants you to succeed. You have to put in the work but that goes with any physiology class and he makes his class fun so it doesn't feel like work. He doesn't want you to just study the material but understand it. Take phys with him!
PETER!!! I love Peter. Not only is he an amazing professor, he is an amazing human. His passion for the understanding of the human body shows through his teaching, and he truly wears his heart on his sleeve/isn't afraid to be his true self. Class is fun and worth working hard for - when you earn your A you will feel a new level of pride. TAKE PETER
Peter is an amazing prof and you should definitely take him. I never really used the textbook except for homework; I only used the realanatomy resource for lab quizzes. If you dont have time to cover all his info, just study the lecture outline- it has everything you need. Take Peter, he wants you to succeed in his class as much as you do.
Peter is passionate about what he teaches and cares a lot about his students. He had synchronous lectures for students to attend and video recordings for students who could not attend. Class was well structured. Expectations were clear. Peter makes learning, especially with a difficult class like Physiology, enjoyable! 1000x recommend taking him.
peter himself is a really cool guy. BUT DONT take this class if you're a bad test taker, your grade is determined by test performance. Not very clear with what will be on exams, especially in the online format. I know many in my class who did WELL on quizzes, lab reps and the HW and barley passed/ didnt pass at all. very test heavy.
Peter is engaging, enthusiastic, and excels at explaining material in a digestible manner. The class is challenging, but, the materials to succeed are provided. There is a team of tutors that are available on a daily basis. Peter def puts in a lot of work to give students an engaging course; he expects them to put in the work to succeed. 10/10
He was a great guy who was always willing to help
Peter was so caring! Anatomy is a tough class but he made it so much fun and has an amazing sense of humor. You have lab quizzes every week and lecture quizzes every two weeks with a couple exams. STUDY!! you have to be willing to put in the work! great professor and such a cool class, 10/10.
Very tough class and material, but Peter does everything in his power to make sure that students can succeed and understand the material. Expectations are clear. Organization is spectacular and he really cares about his students.
Peter is great, probably my favorite professor I've had. Class in itself is very difficult but he is funny and cares and is a great teacher
Simply put, the best professor and one of the best people I've ever met, IF HE'S AVAILABLE TAKE HIM!!! Seriously changed my life and made a class that's supposed to be stressful one of my all time favorite courses, Peter is straight up the GOAT!!!!!
Amazing teacher, really cares about his students succeeding. Although the class is very difficult, he does offer a lot of help. Lab quizes every week and lecture quizes every other week. Don't miss class, you won't pass. There are 3 huge exams, tests pretty much reflect your grade.
I took BMS 107 last semester with Peter and he was an amazing teacher. This class is definitely test heavy and point based. If you don't procrastinate and organize your time well you can definitely succeed. There will never be anything on an exam or quiz that he does not include in the lectures.
Peter is hands down the best professor I have ever had! He really wants his students to succeed. His lectures contain a lot of information so you have to make sure that you are paying attention and never miss a class. If you put in the effort this class can be not only very interesting but also a lot of fun.
Peter is nice and the class is easy enough. However, he often went over time on lecture and still wouldn't get to all the material. He'd tell us to "study on our own" for the sections he didn't have time to teach. Felt like poor time management and feels unfair to test something you didn't make time to teach.
Anatomy is a very hard class but I am so glad I took it with Peter. You WILL need to study!!! I took hybrid so the lecture is online and there are 3 exams (each worth ~100 points) and they are proctored. Also like 6 WUQs which are 15 points and proctored based on the lectures. Study lab material bc every class you have a lab quiz worth 15 points.
Peter is an amazing person and professor! He is super helpful with explaining during lectures. When I would have questions he simplified it and made it easy to understand. Always rewatch lectures because a lot of what he says during lecture and almost all of what is on his outlines are on the exams. There's ec in all of his lab quizzes too!
Great professor! Lectures are pretty information heavy, but outline what you need to know for tests and in general, so the class is not awful if you take the time to study.
Peter is easily the best professor I have ever had at SBCC. Physiology is not an easy course, but he makes the material fun and interesting. Labs are super fun, and he is always accessible outside of class during office hours. Getting an A is doable as long as you put in the work. Go to OH, see the tutors, and you will do great!
Peter is not only a terrific professor, but also a kind and understanding person. Labs are fun, and lectures are long but engaging. I definitely recommend this class if you are disciplined and willing to work hard. The material is hard but he offers a ton of help and really wants students to succeed. One of my favorite classes at SBCC.
I'm going to admit I'm a bad test taker and I didn't do well in that area but that's on me so be prepared for that when taking his course. Other than that he explains the material very well, in a way you could understand and makes it fun too. One of the best professors out there fr, I would take his class again 10/10
Best professor ever. Cried my first day of this class because I felt so unprepared and I tried to drop- ended up with an A. He makes a horribly difficult class the most enjoyable thing ever, wish every professor was like him.
I miss having class with Peter, he is easily the best teacher I've ever had. He makes anatomy seem like an easy course. I personally liked a lot the summary classes he did before the exams, those were gold! He is an awesome teacher and a great person!
If you are looking for an easy A, this isn't it. Peter's class is absolutely hard, and you have to put in a lot of work to get an A. That being said, he makes his lectures interesting as well as his labs. Expect multiple quizzes a week. He also offers lots of extra credit and is very understanding towards personal situations.
Peter is such an enthusiastic&engaging professor making Anatomy SO much more fun! He understands that this course takes alot of work& provides students w/ multiple resources to get help that they need. He's passionate abt material & always finds a way to make students laugh in lectures&lab! Drops a couple of yr lowest grades, but always give yr 100%!
My favorite professor at SBCC. He is very organized and gives outlines for each lecture. His exams are difficult, but he gives you all the resources to succeed. He is super personable, knowledgeable, and just a funny guy. You will have to dedicate much time and effort to the class to get an A. Overall, highly recommend taking Peter!!
Peter is an amazing teacher. This class is difficult, thats what youre signing up for but he will do his absolute best at making sure you learn it all. Not only is he hilarious but you can tell he puts his heart and soul into his students. He is very engaging and tries to make sure everyone succeeds. Be ready to laugh and learn with him.
Peter is fantastic. Hands down the anatomy professor to take at SBCC. Extremely engaging and fun in lectures and lab. Very fair grading and exams all were representative of the material covered in lecture. Tutors are all great in his sections. Really enjoyed this class and would 100% take him again.
The amazing professor taught both Anatomy/ Physiology. Hardest classes I have taken as a student in DSPS. OFFICE HOURS SAVED ME! The best teacher wants you to learn! You have to put in the work! As a student in DSPS, I studyed 6 hours a day, every day. Had to quit my job for Anatomy, but worth it! :) The Kindest and Funnest Professor!
Peter made this course very enjoyable and doable! Took it over the summer (6 weeks) so super fast and intense but he made it a great experience. He truly cares to get to know his students and help them succeed. He gives many opportunities for extra credit and drops lowest quiz, etc. Lab uses models and cadavers, lectures are online. HE'S AMAZING!
Peter is such a great professor!! Really cares about students success and gives lots of extra credit opportunities in lab AND lecture. Very fast paced and heavy workload for a summer course but manageable if you stay on top of it. He is very funny and friendly and tests are do-able if you really pay attention to the lectures and take notes/study.
Where do I begin? In all of my years of going to school, middle school, high school, college etc., Peter is without a doubt one of the best teachers I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and try to get Peter. I had for Human Anatomy and was genuinely one of the most fun I've ever had in class.
One of the funniest professors I ever had. I failed this class the first time and when I came back there was no judgement, just pure enthusiasm for me trying again. I was really encouraged in this class. Lovely TA's too. Put in the work and you will pass!!
This class was intense. It is VERY lecture and exam heavy. Hoursssss of lectures each week, maybe if the lecture wasn't online I would have enjoyed it more but unfortunately it wasn't. He says he doesn't like to trick with exam questions but felt pretty tricky sometimes. He was really nice and funny though. Office hours were helpful!
