I am a witness to the 2 comments below/before me. He's tough but he is helpful... and yes do the damn homework.

Peter is ok, accounting is really boring, but you need to know everything in detail and Peter can help you with that. He will tell you everything you need to know ti finish this course with good grade, however, he never look at the students and that made me feel a bit uncomfortable in his class.

Prof. Alpaugh is one of the best Accounting profs I've had. His lectures are extremely organized. He welcomes questions from students and is always available for consultation. I plan to take his class again for ACC517. Oh, and he is also very humorous!

One of the best teachers ever! If you want to learn the acc-ng, take his classes. He explains everything. He is very fair. Do your homework all the time, come in class regularly and you will have atleast A! He is very cooperative, with amazing sence of humor. Peter is the best!

He knows his material, delivers it well and is very organized. Tells you what he expects and gives out hints for test, midterm, and final exam questions. The course itself is NOT easy and you WILL NEED to study hard to really absorb all of the material. Take the time to go through problems done in class. Take his classes!

YOU ARE THE BEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD. Dunno what's up with the negative comments. Maybe they didn't attend classes that much. He's kinda tough but he actually teach so well. He's a genius. If you want to clearly understand accounting, I encourage you to take his classes. He's not like any other prof who will just make you fall asleep.

He's a good prof. Not the easiest though. He gives surprise quizzes but in the end they are not worth too much. He picks on everyone in class to answer homework questions. Don't fall behind and do all the practice questions he assigns. He gives good part marks. He also explains things very clearly. Make sure to participate in class.

If you are taking accounting as your program, you have to take your accounting course with him. He is always well prepared, use almost every single exercise to repeat materials and remind useful hints. If you study and keep up and continue the course materials with him, you won't find his course hard.

wow hard and long tests. finally a good accounting professor but expects you to know everything and to answer in a proper way. he will answer your questions though. even after class. this coure is more work than my others.

He is the best professor in this program. Responsible in teaching. Helpful and available in answering questions in his office hour and email. Although his test is not easy, his marking is reasonable. He gives you part marks when you follow the logic. To want to get a good grade, you need to do all the questions that he assigned.

One of the best professors for Accounting. He covers wide knowledge. With real examples and funny moments he makes class really interesting!. Nobody wants to miss his class! In marking he is easy but his exams are bit tricky! He focuses more on problems and solutions not like Anne Chun who thinks Accounting is all theory....Thumbs up for Peter!!:-)

A best prof for Accounting at Seneca.Clear loud voice,well organized,do lots of problems in class. Very helpful,seems he is tough, but kind person. He is well organized and dedicated to his work. ontime always, never leave early,spends time for helping students after the class.He pays attention to all students, walks all over the class to see how students doing.Marking also not bad, but u have to do ur part. home works are the keys. I wish I had him since 1st semester

He is the most excellent professor I have met at Seneca. He is knowledgeable and dedicated. He looks like strict, but he is kind and considerate. He has enough patience to listen to the foreign students’ questions and can explain the difficult problem in a simple and logical way.

If you want to pass ACC 416, take Peter. This course is not easy. So do your homework as he will take it up before class each day. For test, he gives you practice questions. DO THEM

If you want the knowledge, take him because he is actually TEACHING.At the first glance, students are afraid of him, but you will realize after that you should not do it. Many students on here will post that he is rude or mean but if you want an objective opinion here it is, yes his tests and marking is hard but he is a very thorough and concise prof.He used to pick on me which I didn't like at first but it's good that he did because i started paying attention. This guy comes to class to TEACH and he does it well.

Peter is the best accounting professor. He is conscientious ,organized. He is very knowledgeable with the accounting, but could use simple and funny examples to make the lecture easy to understand. He teach students with his heart and could remember every student's name. Fair marker. Choose him.

Good teacher but this class was harder than the last one and more work and he is not an easy marker. Acc416 was easy and could copy assignments easily. Not this one.

I learned more by getting a B in his class than getting an A in 416. He is a tough grader but explains what he wants pretty clearly. He is a dedicated teacher, putting as much enthusiasm in a class of 8 as he would in a class of 30. You may not get an A but you'll be more prepared. Pay now or pay later.

Peter is one of the Best accounting teacher. He is always prepared and cares about the student's progress. He is a passionate teacher, Hard Marker but Fair! This course is not easy, but Peter helps you understand the material. If i had the opportunity to take any other courses with Peter,i would not hesitate to choose him.

He is good but the course is hard. I took this course twice before. once dropped, once D. This time I got B+. I did more work this time but it was easier to do it because I knew what I was supposed to be learning. Assignment marks are pretty easy but not the tests. Group assignment is not too hard and a bit interesting.

The class is interesting. He prepeared carefully for every student, printed a lot of hand out and relative useful materials. Following him, you will be fine.

He is one of the knowledgable professors in Seneca. He gives live example and interacts with students very often. If you are looking to continue in Accouting industry, he would be the right professor for you. You will learn a lot and know how to apply in the real world instead of writing an exam.

Well o well. I had Peter for 120 and 220 back in 2010 and 2011. He actually made us learn the real accounting and set the strong basis for future. Would highly recommend taking him for all the accounting courses.

He's a tough marker. but he's willing to help you as long as you reach out. touch marker. Make sure to read everything he assigns as it helps you understand the questions in class. don't skip any classes. he gives hints for tests and assignments in his classes.

Peter is a good professor. Believe it or not, he's really a funny guy. If you come to his class and listen to his lectures, you'll be good. He's not a tough marker and will give bouns marks. I did get good marks on my each assignments even though I made mistakes. I did think he was a tough marker too, however he changed my mind. Thank you Peter.

You can do well if you come to classes and understand all the questions he issued. A professional accounting professor and be responsible for all the students.

I wish I had previous accounting courses with Peter. We learn with many real life examples and thorough explanation about accounting rules. We have to study hard, but I definitely recommend him.

Explains accounting better but expects you to do as much work as he. And he does a lot of homework questions in class. Much harder than Acc416. First 2 Sage assignments are easy but the last one is very long and hard. It is too much to take with tax too. And our class was too big. Seneca is making classes too big even after taking our money.

Really helpful if you pay attention to and do some previews in advance of Professor Alpaugh's class. You have to be quick and sharp-minded in his class. He explain clear concepts that you need to learn. If you don't understand but you're attentive and ask questions, he'll help you after class. I miss his class and am grateful for all his teaches.

Out of all of my Accounting courses I have taken here at Seneca College, Peter has to be one of my favourite professors. His lectures are enjoyable and easily understandable, making a quite difficult course bearable.

I had no Acct knowledge beforehand, but with the inclass lectures and exercise Peter it became easy to understand.

Professor Peter is one of the best professors in Accounting at Seneca College. He explains the lesson very well and he is very approachable. Your grades will really depend on your performance if you study or not. Just be prepared during exams. Everything you are looking for relating to the course is provided by Peter in BB. Professor Alpaugh's class was challenging but rewarding. His lectures were clear, and he genuinely cared about students' learning. For study prep, I found ChatGPT and Unstuck ai to be really helpful alongside the textbook.

Seneca saved the best professor for my last term. Peter is a gem in the SAFS faculty. One of the brightest, most passionate about accounting. You will never regret taking his class if you are a genuine accountancy enthusiast. I will never forget him.

Professor Peter Alpaugh was a great professor this semester. His lectures are good and periodically asks if any students have questions regarding the material being covered. However, this professor is very generous in making the assessments and final exam open book and giving his students access to the course textbook and Microsoft Excel.

Professor Peter is excellent—well-prepared, energetic, and always grades assignments on time.
