Chabora is not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. Do not wait to the last minute before tests, don't really bother reading the text. Study slides and outlines skim lab book. The key is to study little by little, and if your too busy to study what are you doing with any major that requires tough bio and chem classes? You must devote your time.

If you lived through 105, 106 will be ok. Do yourself a favor and study. If you study frequently, you will have no problem getting an A. His tests aren't as tricky or hard as 105. Materials he covers aren't as hard or complicated as 105. Don't blame him when you don't do well. It's your fault. He's not very approachable though.

He's not bad. He loves his field and is knowledgeable. The class, though, is really easy. I don't quite agree with the PowerPoint studying; I'm more of a textbook guy. Exams are very simple, with about 3-8 questions coming from the practice exams. He is intimidating, but opens up when he's in a good mood. Just study from the PPT,and you should be OK

I LOVE Dr. Chabora. He has a strong personality and loves what he is doing. The fact that he shows so much passion entices you to find out why, "If he loves it so much, so could I" And because of him I really did love it. The earth is so diverse and beautiful aside from us human beings its incredible. Wish he taught all the other sciences...

Great professor. A lot better than that idiotic 105 professor (I'm talking about you, Ma). Tests are straight forward so long as you study his slides and attend his lectures. Don't bother reading the textbook much. He takes the time out of his busy schedule to have a clearcut review on sundays before the exam. Still gotta work for that A though.

Textbook is a backup for lecture. Lab book helps a lot for the lecture. Lectures are essential, since he mentions things in class that are not on the slides, and he asks them on the tests. Not as hard as Bio105 lecture, but the lab adds on a hefty amount of work to the already hefty workload. Attend and do work in LAB and LECTURE = Good Grade.

Despite his severity, he's helpful, and would have 3-hour review session on a sunday before every exam. It's useful to read the book, but not necessary
