Not only is Chetta unbelievably sleep-inducing, but he also had a nervous breakdown (tears and all) while reading a Dickinson poem in class. “I’m sorry, but it reminds me of my past.” Easily the most awkward moment I experienced in a classroom.
He is the most boring teacher i have ever taken, but he is also very easy your. His tests and papers are a piece of cake, but you have to sit through class listening to him read to you as if you are in kindergarten
One word: YAWN!!!!!!!!!!! This man is boring, but I have to admit, it was worth it because his work is too easy.

extremely easy, but very boring! papers are as easy as they get and if u mess up on the midterm, do a few more 1 page papers for extra credit. a bit sarcastic (told me i belonged in a straight jacket) worth it for an A
Chetta is probably the most boring professor on the planet...but its an easy A. all you do is show up and hand in his stupid one page papers which usually deal with conflicts between male and women. This can be found on the internet.
ok let me just start by saying that he looks like Hoggle from the 80's movie, Labyrinth!! A bit scary, and incredibly boring...but simple class...easy 'A'...

This man is a joke! He's very bitter toward students and carries alot of baggage. He called my class "stupid." Just bring a newspaper to class to keep yourself occupied and look up info on the internet, you'll be fine.
Can anyone say "Mel Brooks's twin." Easy class. Just be sure to set your alarm clock for the end of class. He'll read you the book, so if you haven't done it yet, relax, all is good.
i look at my watch all the time in this class. he reads the book and answers the questions..little interaction with the class. he seems to judge every mistake we make..we're hman. we make mistakes. he's critical. gotta love him tho. papers are really easy

Chetta is the man! He has humor most of these westchester ****s can't understand, but he has helped me get through this college with my scholarship. He also has a great taste in movies!

I told him he looked like Mel Brooks..he was like yeah everyone says that!!!...So boring though that you actually want to scream!!! Easy A but I recommend to take him in spring semester because too much Chetta is a bad thing!
CHetta is insane, but adorable. Hates teaching lower level classes though. If you treat him with respect, he is a great guy. Very easy assignments. Modern American Theater is a great class if you have interest in that subject.

I hated this class and English is my major. So boring, but an easy A. His mid terms / finals aren't easy, but they don't count much. Just reads from the text all class. BORING!
Chetta's a cool cat, man. He just reads...but he also tells amazing stories about his own experiences and really has a passion for what he tells us when he does lecture.
This was the most boring professor i have ever had. I absolutely hated going to class and could not pay attention at all. It is easy to get a good grade but be prepared to be bored to death.
This guy ROCKS! You don't have to do the reading, you can use internet summaries for papers and tests, and you do not have to pay attention and you get an A easily!

The class is somewhat boring, you just sit there while he reads. You will do fine if you just study the few notes he gives and occasionally pay attention. He has a passion for what he teaches and occasionally tells some relly great stories. 5 1page papers
he assumes we r all idiots. he is more likely to pass sum1 he knows copies from sparknotes than give a smart person credit. he accuses every1 whos got 1/2 a brain of plagiarizing but doesnt do anything about it. hes a weird bitter old man
Chetta will give you a B if you have a pulse and do mediocre work. You hardly even have to go to class. Take him if you don't want to do work.

his midterm which i took 2day sucked!all the info that he included on the exam, weren't discussed in class; so nobody in my class had an idea what to write. 5 papers which he gives u r easy,only if u go to sparknotes.com and read the summaries.prepare urself for him constantly reading to u.non stop!
Not sure how to say this, because there really aren't words to describe a teacher like this. At the end of this semester, I'll really be lucky if I learn anything even remotely useful. Reads in class, doesn't stop to answer questions, doesn't write on board, doesn't seem interested in teaching.
i wont take eng wit any other professor. yes, he is extreamly borin, BUT you dont have to do any work, let alone pay attention and you'll get a b. seriously, compared to other professors who pile on tons of work, you cannot complain! i rather be bored than have to write 5 page papers!

im not sure what the other comments are talking about. chetta is awesome he is a brilliant man with so much knowledge yea he reads in class but the class is really easy just 5 one page papers it was two of the easiest A's ive ever gotten
Isnt a hard teacher. He reads out of a book the whole class, the students dont even have to pay attention or stay awake. Assigns essays every week, but their easy. You dont really learn anything from his class. But its an easy B, bc he doesnt give out A's a lot.
at first you think this guy is gunna be mean, bitter, and hard, but really does a 180 towards the end of the semester. hes a very easy grader and if you give him a lil respect it really goes a long way. he definitely rounds up when he does our averages.
first i regreted that i took his class, not i can say that since the semester is over, he wasn't so bad and actually made it easy for all of us. i lost all my hopes to get an A, since i bombed the midterm, but in the end, he still gave me an A!take him!

One of the smartest men I know. I learned so much from all of the classes I took with him. All he wants is to know you care, and when he sees that, he is really nice.
Hes a good guy. Class can be boring but thats what magazines are for. Hes a great guy, who cares that his students do well. All you have is a mid-term and final. and 5 ONE PAGE papers that are automatically 20/20's x5=100/100. Take him for ay english class.
I thought he was great. The papers were very easy to do, they are only a page long. I got a 20/20 on one, and I was still **** when I wrote it. Took him twice, and both times got a B+, mind you during class I was doing the crossword w. sorority girls. Definetly worth taking for the grade.
a good and wise man. Easy to get a B. Must work a little harder to get the A by doing well on the tests. The key is just writing what the story is about and you will get full marks.
Chetta is pretty good. He's not hard, just boring. Sit through his class and take a few notes, only a midterm and final. If you try to pay attention, and you show up, you'll be fine. He's actually really nice. Just ask him questions and pretend you're interested.

5 easy 1 page papers (always a 20/20). Midterm and final were kinda difficult, but aderall and spark notes and you'll be fine. Easy A.
Hes soo boring, but VERY knowledgable! He assigns 5 extreamly easy one page papers. Midterm and final are a little harder, but its a guarenteed A, especially if u talk to him before or after class. he loves getting to know his students!
BORING!!!!! and ridiculous with changing assignments the day before they are due after you worked on them for weeks-now you have to change them overnight!!!

He is so boring, he reads to you the full hour and a half like a five year old.. no notes, therefore you fail his insane midterm and final.. he's out to get students I'd rather watch paint dry.. stear clear it's a waste of your time and money. He should be in a nursing home reading to elderly, not my ass.
Horribly boring, but Chetta is the man...he wears funny Russian looking hats in the winter and calls everyone martians because we're all stupid compared to him. Bring a pillow to class.

Very smart man but VERY opinionated... constantly makes fun of the students for not taking notes or bringing books to class. It's sooo hard to pay attention but if you read sparknotes you'll be fine. 5, 1 pg papers which he grades too easily but the mid term and final are a bit more challanging... you need to pay attention...
He wasnt that bad but prettttty boring, the little assignments werent that bad, most of the info is on sparknotes, if not that then try cliffnotes, if not that then pink monkey. TRUST ME. Does give extra credit if ur liked lol. But bringur laptop to class.
Most boring class I have ever taken. He makes fun of everyone cause we aren't as cultured as him. Easy grader though...throws 2 tests out of NO WHERE..but its still a BORING easy class.
Knows his subject well
He was on Cash Cab. He's very boring. He reads to you like a little kid til the exact moment class is over. 5 papers the whole semester makes him a no brainer for ENG 203

If you can avoid him I would, if not he's boring and very condescending, thinks all his students are morons. Reads to you like you are in elementary school. Grades the papers very easy...easy 20/20 on each. His mid-term and final=impossible .
He reads to us from day 1 like its kindergarten. Boring as all hell. Papers are short, easy grades but the class still isnt worth it. Tests are hard. He calls all his students stupid and ignorant. It was a big mistake taking this class. Sparknotes saved me.
ABSOLUTE WORST CLASS!! After a semester from hell do not take this class. He's rude disrespectful and has a horrible method of teaching. The mideterm and final are absolutley impossible. Tortures u all semester nd then winds up passsing u. Go figure

I don't know why anyone would complain about this class. Yes he reads to you the entire time but you can bring your laptop or text and he never says a word. His essays are 1 page double spaced and he gives them all 100. Such an easy class.
Honestly, the dudes not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. And if people have a problem with him, they leave the class after attendance anyway. Then they wonder why they get a bad grade...just bring your laptop, do the essays, and study for the test and the class is a guaranteed A.

Please I'm begging you do not take Chetta. He may be the worst and RUDEST professor at Iona. All he does is sit down in the middle of the room and read books like we are in 3RD grade. He makes fun of you and is just so nasty. Refrain from taking him
