Just do yourself a favor and DON'T take this class online with a Mac. MS office for mac is very different than Vista.

I really enjoyed this class, it was an online class that I actually leaned something with. He will answer your questions every time you e-mail him. SAM was the hardest part, but if you do the tutorials in the book, you will get a good grade. He is a very good professor and he has videos that are very helpful. I know this is the computer science section, but I also had Peter Cisek for Food Prep 1 and he helped me understand the fundamentals of cooking. Before this class I had no idea what I was doing in the kitchen but Peter helped me understand the basics of how to cook which has come in handy in almost everyday of my life. This is definitly a course i would reccomend. i only needed a free elective so i took this course because i already use Microsoft office 2010. I took the online course but was having issues and he allowed me to come into his class so he could help me. An overall great teacher. Very witty, very funny, very engaging with students. I would highly recommend this teacher, he makes the class fun and makes his classes so that ultimately noone will fail, unless of course they don't try hard enough. If you want to have a good time in a good class-take his class.

The work wasn't hard but there was ALOT of it. He also only gave about a week for everything to be done. It seems like a long time, but it really isn't, especially since one assignment usually took several hours to complete. It was an online class, so keep that in mind. I got an A so I can't complain.

He is not only a great professor he is more like a friend. Extremely helpful to students who are new to the subject. If I ever take another computer class I hope he's my professor. Don't think you will sit back and glide you will need to do the work. It's not all easy for someone new to the subject but I learned a lot helped in other classes.

It was my first online course and on the first day I panicked, but Professor Cisek was great he talked me through it and after that it was smooth sailing. He is great at responding to emails and very helpful.

I took this corse as an online winter class most of it is through person MY IT LAB software and needs a little patience but he was always pretty responsive to questions or comments needed for help.

very easy going and very good with time as long as everything was in by the end of the semester it was all good

Took his summer course for 105 great professor willing to work with you. Easy to get in contact with to just email him. The only thing is that the course can get away from you cause it a lot of work in it so just pay attention to his due dates and youll do fine.

I had Professor Cisek for the summer Intro to Software course and he was great. I e-mailed in regards of having some fears of not passing the class and extra credit and he was great at feedback. Don't give up and do your work, you'll pass. He lets you makeup work, don't abuse that.

Excellent Professor. Clear sense of direction throughout the course, extremely fair and more than willing to work with students who are having a difficult time - whether in class or online.

I took an online class ( Intro to Software ) at NVCC with him. I read the reviews prior to choosing him and they were very accurate. Great teacher. A+. Very understanding and thoughtful. Leaves tons of tutorials available and gives you plenty of time to work on your projects. He also replies quickly to your questions and concerns.

Great professor! I would highly recommend him to others. The online software (MyITLab) was pretty easy to use. Almost all of the grades come from that software. If there is a problem that you have, just reach out to the professor, and he will help you out.

Great class to learn the basics in software applications. You can get a good grasp of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint. Great professor who is flexible as long as you get the work done.

All you need to do is buy MyITLab and just have the work done by the end of the semester and just submit the scores on blackboard. Literally, the easiest class I've ever taken.

I took this computer software course with Professor Cisek and his class was GREAT. It was taught online and the work for the course is accessed through MylabIT. All of the work was easy mainly because the site where we are completing our assignments walks you through all of the steps to get the question completed! Highly recommend this professor!

great professor. understanding of peoples time. no late penalties. as long as you did the assignments you were good to go. did not have to attend in person classes as long as you did the work. wish all my professors were like this. def take this course.

Great prof, great class. MyITLab was VERY easy, just time-consuming. He cares about students and is easy to talk to, when I was very sick for a week he pardoned me not finishing one of the modules, so I could focus on learning new things instead. Entire class is very friendly to autistic students, clear instructions/rubrics everywhere.

Clear instructions for this online course, easy to understand. Loved the fact that late work wasn't a thing in the course. It made it so if I had something more important, I could do these assignments later. Definitely take this course online, it's better like that!

Professor Cisek is going in my personal hall of fame for great teachers. He is personable, hilarious and reminds me of Tom Hanks. His course is easy to understand and he is more than helpful when you struggle, he also doesn't hold anyone back. Peter also post assignments early, I finished class 3 weeks a head of schedule. I originally took my H105 summer Computer INTRO class to acclimate myself with common apps that will be used in college. I highly suggest to make sure you get all the material needed prepared for week 1. That being said the summer online course was incredibly easy! He's willing to work with you with any assistance needed. The course is an easy A!

As someone who is personally intimidated by computer software, he made the class enjoyable and non-stressful. It is your PERSONAL responsibility to get your work done but he will accept it no matter when it is finished within the semester. I am honestly a little bummed that I will soon be departing from this class as the semester ends.

Took this class because I needed the credit completed and was shocked at how easy all of the work was. It takes a some time to finish but is really simple. Professor Cisek is kind and understand. If you are unable to finish work, he will accept it for full credit regardless of time passed from due date (as long as its before the semester ends).

I had Professor Cisek for an Introduction to Software Class. He was knowledgeable, thorough and always available to help! Professor C goes above and beyond to make sure instructions are clear. This class was a great, I wouldn't hesitate to take another one of his courses!

Very clearly defined expectations and structured well for students who have jobs outside of school. It is actually an asynchronous online course which is nice since you can work at your own pace.

One of the best professors I ever had! He is very caring and understanding. I didn't have many problems but if you contact him I'm sure he will adjust anything you need. There are no due dates for the assignments, but be careful since they are very time-consuming but he gives a good amount of time to complete them.

With full transparency, I'm taking this course online and have never met this professor in person. He seems to be incredibly flexible and understanding. There are no deadlines, just an official end date, and this rate my professor's submission also counts for an assignment. I've never done an online class, this has been a positive experience.

Great online class! Easy A! I have a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and this class was easy to complete over the winter session (read: very accelerated), with an A. Multiple chances to correct errors. Super fast grading (MyITLab auto grades). Professor makes it clear that questions are welcome. Very reasonable in his approach to an online class.

All work is done on MyItLab. The score you get in MyItLab is the grade you get for the final. So if you get an 80 with all the completed work in MyItLab, then your final grade is an 80. This is really convenient to help you know your final grade. He is available to help you if you need it. Amazing and witty professor! Would take again!
