Tends to give long lectures but he is very helpful in explaning grammar. He does care about attendence, so dont miss more than 3 classes. He gives enough time to complete the essays about 2 weeks and he doesnt force you to participate. Dont buy the book, its barely need it.

Very easy class. You do have to read the stories because he gives out quizzes on the important chapters on the book. If you read, you'll definitely pass the quizzes. No midterm or final only 4 main papers and he writes a lot of comments which helps and gives easy grading if you know how to writeHe also is very helpful if you ask & offers extra help

I hated writing until i had this class. Somehow made it fun. It was a challenge but overall a good teacher. Patient but can not stant people talking in class. Show up and on time because he will not go back. Would take him again for 1102.

Just finished 1101 with him and i wish i could take him again for 1102. he's a cool dude and keeps his lectures interesting (sometimes). Doesn't bother you about attendance but it does count after a certain number. If you know how to write you'll get an A. only 3 essays. cool dude.

Great teacher! I took him for 1101 and I went back to his class for 1102. only gives 3 to 4 essays and he gives enough time for you to do them. For 1101 he requires black board participation, but the assignments are also very easy. This is a fun and easy class with a great professor. If you want to learn without getting bored in class, take him!!!!

Peter was byfar my most favored professor. We makes sure there is no misunderstanding, gives you an open opportunity, and makes sure you learn what there is to learn. I highly recommend him. Just make sure you read and pass those quizes. A piece of cake!

His class was very easy as long as you pay attention and ask questions. He gave three essays over the semester and a few pop quizzes that were easy to pass as long as you read and paid attention to his lectures. He also goes over every assignment, if you need help ask then! He will specify! He is awesome!

Peter is by far a good professor. you only have 3 essays,pop up quiz to see if you read the chapters, in class work and thats it.No final and attendance is mandatory!! you need the BOOK too!!

I had Peter for both ENC1101 AND 1102. He is so goofy and nice. Je tries to make the class interesting and is also very clear! He makes his essays very clear and will more than willingly go over them with you before you turn them in. He's helpful and you learn a lot. Would definitely recommend

My favorite professor so far, has an amazing personality and he's extremely funny! His lessons are very clear and explains helpful, detailed examples. He is fair, understanding and caring. His course consists of 5 interesting discussion boards on D2L, easy pop quizes (my class only had about 4), 3 essays, and a few easy worksheets. No exams at all!

One of my favorite teachers ever! He embodies all that is to be a GOOD teacher. He is insanely helpful, clear with directions, creative and compassionate. I loved him to bits! Funny and sets a comfortable atmosphere for his students. It is impossible to fail this class!!! He sets you up for success and even the few pop quizzes weren't so bad.

This is the best English teacher I have had EVER! He's amazing!!! His teaching style is super easy to understand and he really cares about his students. I love writing but hated literature before I took this class! He's a bit of a hard grader when it comes to essays but he'll help you if you need it. I highly recommend him! He's awesome!

I took his class a few months ago, and I miss it still. He is very interesting, it is not easy but it is worth it to take his class. You will learn, and you will get better. He keeps the class engaged, and really embodies what it is to be a good professor.

BEST TEACHER EVER!! He's hilarious, very organized, a little bit of a picky grader, but if you work for it he will reward you. Amazing at helping you understand grammar and really cares about the class. On the last day of class he got everyone donuts. Definitely recommend him.

Professor D'Ettore is awesome. This past summer semester was my first time in a college class, fresh out oh high school. He is really helpful in making the transition. TAKE HIS CLASS! His pop quizzes are easy as long as you read the prior nights assigned chapters. No final. 3 essays. I had a writing lab with this course, it was fairly easy as well.

Mr. Peter is an awsome professor. I can guarantee those students, who fail this course by taking him, are not going to pass ENC110 if he retake this course. In fact, I believe ENC1101 is not for them. English is not my 1st language, despite I did better with him. Morover, he helped me a lot, so stop reading post and regester.

Best English professor ever ! He was so good that I took him again for ENC1102 . He is really the best . For ENC1101 the essays are pretty easy topics only 3 essays we did I believe .He can sometimes grade you hard on essay but that's if you don't but in effort. He also haves out extra credit on essay with great .Take this guy you won't regret it!

Literally one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. He's funny and makes class something to actually look forward to. You should have zero problems with him because no matter what you may have a problem with he has a solution. He makes Game of Throne jokes and other jokes to go along with lectures. Just do you assignments and you'll be fine.

Professor DEttore has a really straightforward class structure based around this one podcast and its online discussion posts, the podcast is also discussed in class for some really interesting conversations and theres 3 essays to write in total. Only one of those is not revolving around the podcast, its a fun simple and interesting class.

Professor D'Ettore is THE best english professor at Broward College. He makes all the learning material fun & interesting. He provides great tools in order to keep the students' attention. I believe there were 3 papers for ENC1101 & 3 for ENC1102. Both classes were great & easy to keep up with. PLEASE take him if you want that A & fun learning exp!

Many people dread having to take English but his class was SO interesting and entertaining. His entire class revolves around a true crime podcast so if youre into that stuff youll love this class! Hes also funny and super nice! Hes not a pushover and hes not an easy grader but he does grade fairly and gives very good and thorough feedback!

I took this class during COVID , but he made it fun by doing interesting backgrounds every meeting. Hes very funny and outgoing and definitely makes sure to help his students understand things .

Attendance is mandatory but honestly he makes class fun even during covid he's so funny. He is a tough grader for essays, his essays take up about 70 percent of your final grade so you have to do good on them luckily I am pretty good at English so I managed to get As and Bs on my essays. Overall recommend him.

He's very good with his lectures, nice and respectful, however, his essay topics are VERY difficult and boring. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice professor and all, but damn I'm over here writing his final and I'm already destroyed on the fourth paragraph. If you're an English major, BEWARE! He'll unintentionally make you sound stupid with feedback.

He is an exceptional professor. He's kind, funny, has a great attitude and I happen to like most of the topics he had us write about. He gives good and thorough feedback which is really helpful for the next essays. However, my only negative feedback is that he seems nitpick. I think he looks for problems where they don't exist.

Prof. D'ettore is honestly a great professor. He really challenged me this semester and his feedback to essays and discussions was super specific and helped me get better at writing. I will say that he is suuuper picky on his grading criteria, but if you listen to his lectures and read the resources he provides THOROUGHLY you should be fine.

Easy A...all classes prepare you to make a video essay that is due at the end of the course. So there are only 3 major assignments and videos you watch that you respond to for a easy grade. He has a sense of humor too so that also makes the class vibe a lot more fun. Gives great feedback and accessible outside of class. Highly recommend!

Very straightforward professor with not too much work. He makes the grading outlines very clear and every essay had extra credit opportunities. His lectures are engaging, and he has a sense of humor which makes the fact that it's an English class much better. Teaches in an engaging way and if you work with him he works with you. 10/10 recommend.
