Mr. Doas was definitely my favorite professor this semester. His class is fun to be in and his stories make it very entertaining. There's no need for a book because Mr. Doas provides PowerPoints which you can print out and use for and during Quizzes. His test are all multiple choice and his reviews are very helpful. Definitely recommend this class
1. He's loud. 2. Do the exam puzzles, you will ace the tests. 3. He does not go by the syllabus. 4. He drops 4 of the 12 quizzes. 5. You will have a 30 second warning for quizzes 6. Print out the PowerPoint slides. 7. He likes to use abortion as a political example for everything. 8. He does not stay neutral regarding is political ideology.
He is loud. Tells a lot of stories some relevant some not. Goes off on rabbit trails on occasion. He teaches off PowerPoint, but has them online. If you study the crosswords you will easily pass the class. Be prepared for a lot of pop quizzes.
Feels at ease in the class and you can tell he loves his job. Provides examples that make it easy to understand.
Very involved and loves his job . To get an A simply do the crossword puzzles before exams, show up for quizzes (12 but drops 4) and participate with discussions (he gives a bonus 50 pts at end). He was by far my favorite teacher this semester.
Easy, gives good examples, he appears to be on the fence about anything political but he does that because he is thinks there is no wrong. do puzzles and print out slide shows he gives you. open note quizzes. only bad thing is accent, but after a week or two you start to understand I'm easier.
Take this class! Study your puzzles and you will plass, noooo problem.
He knows what you should do in order to get an A in a government class. He's funny, flexible test date and very very nice! I love him!
Although this class was definitely an Easy A, I would recommend taking another teacher for Federal Government unless you like teachers who get off track and relate their stories at the last second. That being said, he was funny and involved students into the lectures by asking questions whenever possible. Study hard, work hard, and you will pass.
Provides puzzles, powerpoints, and everything you need to earn a high grade. Awesome! Wants you to succeed.
You don't need a textbook, just pay attention in class and print your powerpoints and add some side notes. Test are very easy if you study the crossword puzzles he provides and pay attention in class. He grades you on participation so DON'T be quiet the whole semester, just make sure he knows your name. Hate gov but he made it fun with his stories
Mr. Doas is funny and loves to talk about his bunnies, Pennsylvania, and the Olive Garden. He will joke around with the class and I enjoyed every class, even though Government can be quite boring at times. He does give quizzes, but you can use the notes he provides online and he drops the 4 lowest grades at the end.
Summer II (Web) - Two Essays, at least 5 pages long. If you are a good writer, this online class is for you. If not, I highly recommend a 16wk course in a traditional classroom. Those "crossword" puzzles I read from the previous posts, don't exist in Doas' online classroom. I was grateful for Doas help when I struggled on the analysis essays.
Took Professor Doas for Summer II Federal Government. 6 exams total, 5 chapter exams plus the final exam. 2- 5 page papers due this semester too, only allows provided material and textbook as sources. There are assignments for zero grade credit but count toward attendance. Easy course, just do the work- you'll be fine.
Write two essays minimum 5 pages. Provides web text to read. Exams are tough!!
Great professor. He loves relating his lectures to his personal life and always manages to make most of his lectures humorous and fun. He gives pop quizzes which are easy if you pay attention in class and take notes. The exams are easy as well as long as you do the crossword puzzles. Would definitely recommend.
hard, taking him was a mistake, do not recommend
guy has great feedback In class lectures, maybe a quiz over it. online, A module only opens up at class time with a long video sometimes a timed quiz is attached. write two essays, the pre essay post essay which is taking the pre and expanding it. exams are off crossword puzzles, lectures, but are hard, taking him was a mistake, do not recommend
Great lectures and question sessions. Very clear. Just follow the directions. Study his puzzles and you can pass with an A or B. Let me take final early because of schedule conflict.
During his lectures he would tell stories then try to connect them to the material at the very end. I spent hours studying his puzzles and the power points in order to do well on his tests. The crossword puzzles help A LOT, but won't guarantee an A. There are 12 pop quizzes, he drops the 4 lowest which really helped my grade in the end.
Great professor!!!A+! I'm not interested in government and politics at all but he made every class very interesting, he gives examples that relate to real life which makes everything easy to understand. He jokes around and answers every questions that a student has. Very clear. His PPT is a great help!
His blended course was very bland and boring. Every Monday we met in class & every Wednesday (blended day) he required us to be logged into blackboard at 9:30 & stay logged in until 10:50 where we were assigned an hour plus long video of him reading the slides word for word. The point of a blended course is to be flexible and he was not flexible.
If you like learning by lectures and powerpoints then he's your guy. If not then no. I had a hard time because the only things you did in class was take quizzes and take notes from his powerpoint presentations. We took 4 major tests that you have to hard study for if you keep the crossword puzzles he gives you they will help. He gives no extra cred
He is a tough teacher, the pro is he has everything lined out for you so you know when everything is due before the semester starts. The tests are really tough, it contains a lot of reading and studying in order to get a good grade.
Took gov. 2305 online and it was tough. Only two essays and 6 exams including the final. The essays are extremely hard and time consuming. The exams are tough as well! You must read and study a lot to get by. If you're going to take him, I'm assuming it's better to do so on campus rather than taking him online.
Gives you puzzles to study for exams. Almost all test questions are the puzzles. When he told the class this at start of year, didn't believe him and didn't study puzzle for first exam. Learned the hard way how important puzzles are. Just study puzzles and show up to class.
Overall, he is very strict on everything. He unlocks everything and lets you work ahead if you want to. He never offers extra credit and if you miss a due date, then it's done. No retakes on anything.
He is a great teacher! There is an attendance essay at the beginning which is easy. There are 4 exams, the final, and 2 five page essays. The essays were more of a participation grade it seemed. The tests are super easy if you do the review, most of the review questions were on the test and you get the answers after. All exams are uploaded at start
doesn't require a textbook. He says "in other words" a lot. He gives puzzles to study for the online test which gives you almost all the questions. Lectures are engaging and gives many real life comparisons. Gives one or two pop quizzes often and they're hard if you don't have the printed PowerPoint notes. You can use your notes on the quiz.
Took the blended Tues/Thurs class. We only met in class on tues. on Thursday he took attendance by seeing if you opened a video up and that's it. You didn't actually have to watch. You could watch the video the night before too. Gives "two" essays. One is the pre essay and one is the post essay. He's a pretty easy grader.
Took his online class. Has everything open from the start of the semester. Exams and essays shut down during specific times in the semester. Does not accept late work, but since everything is open on the first day everyone has weeks if not months to turn it the work. Very fair grader with essays. Exams are tough and have to work for grade.
Professor Doas loves his job. Besides teaching about the subject he will give you insightful information and make the class fun. Yes there will be pop quizzes, but you can use your notes. I would take him again.
12 Pop quizzes, drops 4 of them. 4 tests for the semester. You have to work for your grade. Make sure he knows your name! you get participation points. Took him for federal govt before. Tx govt was a little harder i thought.. You have to really study for tests!!!
Provides everything you need to succeed. Lectures tied to real life examples. He really enjoys teaching.
Great person, lectures are very confusing and hard to follow. I am normally a straight a student and struggled in this class
Covers the material very thoroughly. You have to put the effort to get the high grade. He teaches like a college class should be.
He is willing to work around schedule. No book needed. Lectures on BB so are puzzles/reviews for the test. 3 tests (50 ques. 45 MC, 5 fill in blank) plus final (55, 50 MC, 5 fill in). 12 pop quizzes and drops 4, can use notes on them. He tells stories, "yells" but he's Greek. Participation/attendance is 50 points. If needed, would take again.
Lectures don't follow the powerpoints well, very hard to take notes in class, better to do it on your own with the powerpoints and videos he provides. Filling out the crossword was the most helpful thing you can do. The quizzes were pretty easy, tests included quiz questions as well as material not covered in lecture. Lecture goes off topic often.
Four exams, participation, and 12 quizzes count towards grade. Drops four quizzes and lets you use notes on quizzes. Almost every test question is found on the PowerPoints he provides the class. Very fair teacher.
Very interesting for a government class. You couldn't sleep through it if you tried. He's so loud. (Lol)
Submit everything on time and you will get credit. Opens everything on first day of semester but does have due dates. Complete the review exams, rad the chapters, and you will pass the exams. You work for your grade and learn at same time.
Just finished summer 2 online class. Opens everything on start of semester and you complete work at your pwn pace as long as its within the due date. Grades fairly on essays. Complete review exams since most questions on exams come from review exams. Put the time and possible to earn the A.
Prof Doas' online class was pretty hard for an online summer class. He opens everything up at the beginning of semester- 5 tests, 2 essays, and final. Tests were extremely hard, even with reading the entire chapters. Only take him if you are willing to work and invest time.
I highly recommend him. During the summer I took Government 2306 and it was an easy A. Do the reviews and most of those questions are on the test, he is an easy essay grader as long as you try even though the essays are longer. He has a clear grading criteria and everything is opened on the first day so you can work ahead. Awesome teacher!
He has his good and bad days. Yells at you like little kids. His lectures goes off topic often. Do the exam practices and make sure you take advantage of the power points he gives you or you won't pass at all.
Complete puzzles and you will get A. all i did was complete puzzle and studied it a little. allmost every question on test came from puzzle.
Took him for online class this fall. Grades fair with essays, but are long essays. Do the review exams and can earn good grades on exams. Fair grader and clear requirements for his online class.
Study the study guides and you will do well!! Provides notes online to follow and lectures. Makes learning about government relaxing.
Hes a funny guy, tries to bring you in on his rants but they aren't always on topic and the material is difficult enough without it. He gives us lots of study material but the way the material is presented makes it hard to retain resulting in failed tests and quizzes. Also lectures make it hard to stay awake in class!!
Gives four exams and 12 quizzes. Quizzes are open notes and he gives you powerpoints to use. Gives puzzles for each exam that have 40 questions and they are the 40 questions used on his exams that have 50 questions. Just study the puzzle for each exam and you can get at least a B for each exam.
Study the handouts and can earn a good grade. Puzzles are a must.
His classes are easy, do the crossword puzzles and pass the test. He is very loud so you won't fall asleep. Would definitely recommend him to anyone
Class was good. It consists of 5 tests and a final exam. Do the practice tests and you will do fine. Tests are hard though, so be prepared!
makes lectures fun and interesting and made me appreciate texas govt!
Took during the summer - great teacher and I had other family members take him - loves his bunnies.
He goes over the material very good. Go to class and learn the material in the study guide and you will pass. Really loves his job
I took him for a 8 week blended class. Provided everything needed and was very fair and helpful when needed.
I would take this instructor again. Gives many opportunities for extra credit. Very clear on what is expected in class. Normal amount of reading required but uses online textbook.
Show up to class, study the puzzles and powerpoints, review his youtube lectures, pass the class. Gives everything you need.
This teacher is able to make a boring subject interesting! Has a good sense of humor. Took for Maymester. We had 1-2 quizzes daily-can use notes and technology so TAKE power points to class!!! Don't be tardy! DO CROSSWORDS-has test ?s. 4 tests. LISTEN to lectures!!! Test were online and tough but doable. Will NOT round up final grade if 89. 5 .
Hes pretty funny! Makes his lectures pretty entertaining by personal experiences as examples! great professor i would totally recommend him! Made the class worth the drive! He's Greek and loves tiramisu something to know about the professor. VERY loud speaker sounds mean but he isn't. i believe what helped me the most were his youtube presentations
I took him for maymester great prof. He was awesome would recommend
I took Prof. Doas for GOVT 2305 online this summer. He assigns 2 essays and 5 exams, with 5 optional extra credit reviews. The essay topics were simple, the first a page in length and the second five pages. He provides the book via PDF. My only complaint is that I did not know where some of the test questions came from at all.
Don't take his class online. Test questions come out of seemingly nowhere. Very strict grader, and you only have a couple graded assignments (5 exams, 2 essays, and a final exam) so every one of your grades really matter. Definitely makes you work for your grade.
While there are several tests and you will have to read your textbook (he provides a free PDF for you) He was, overall, a great professor. He had very specific grading criteria and he gives you all of the due dates ahead of time. Prof. Doas also gives you great feedback and you can tell he wants you to do well.
Although I think professor Doas is a good guy, his online class isn't the best. Aside from the annoying proctoru requirement, the tests are all that matter in his online class. I wouldn't recommend taking it, although he tries to make it better.
I had Mr. Doas for two classes, both of them online. In both classes he was always quick to respond to questions by email and encouraging as well. I would recommend Mr Doas for any class he may teach.
Mr. Doas gives you everything you need to earn a good grade. make sure you bring notes for quizzes.
Wouldn't recommend for online classes
I took Professor Doas for my Spring semester. Very detailed and gets off subject lectures. If you miss a quiz he won't let you make it up. Very organized and responses quickly to emails. No final at the end of the semester just a 5-page essay. Also, his test is online but only gives you 50 mins for 50 questions so be prepared to study & memorize!
Mr. Doas is very clear with requirements. Have powerpoints with you and follow along in class. No surprises and very good lectures that help you to understand.
Gives you everything you need. Provides extra credit exams that help very much. Exams, essays, discussion topics. He does not create busy work for the sake of just creating work. Not difficult to earn an A.
if you want to pass study for the exams and show up to class
awful professor. test very very hard no matter how much you study
All he does is lecture lecture lecture. Gives quizzes out randomly and most of the time their not over the lecture. He gives u test a you take them online and he requires you to use proctorio which is a thing were it monitors your eye movement, head movement, sound, your monitor so your not cheating in or using notes in any way.
Overall good person, I wouldn't prefer to take this class again due to not very many assignments. In other words, if you don't pass a quiz you are pretty much screwed. You get only TWO writing assignments, a quiz everyday you have class, and the online exams are 50 questions, ( must take under 50 mins and NO NOTES). It's alright, if you're smart.
I took Peter Doas for both Government required courses. He is a good professor, and very knowledgeable in the field. I did not like how misleading some quizzes and test were. However, compared to other professors, Peter does not show bias on politics. Its awesome. Unlike some government professors on campus who push liberal agendas and bash POTUS.
I took Professor Doas blended course over the Fall and liked it. There were quizzes or modules due every week to test comprehension and pop quizzes every Monday. The course was pretty easy and Professor Doas has fun ways of making sure you understand the material.
He is a very tough professor honestly. BE SURE TO USE THE CROSSWORD PUZZLES IF YOU WANT TO AT LEAST PASS THE EXAM. The tests aren't easy. Be ready tp put in work for this class.
Doas is hilarious. Always finds a way to connect lecture to everyday life. Your learning without even realizing it.
Mr. Doas is an interesting man who cares about government, but he doesn't believe in extra credit, and everything is lecture. I have to say that I would take a different professor unless you like quizzes every week, four tests, a paper, and NO EXTRA CREDIT! His videos can be up to two hours and he's extremely boring. I wouldn't take him again.
Cool guy but be prepared to take a quiz every class. Goes through powerpoints in class but in order to get all the information you have to watch his HOUR long videos on youtube of him just reading off a power point. 3 online TIMED exams, 1 in class. He gives puzzles to prepare for the exams, DO THE PUZZLES!!! Do not skip bc you wont pass!
Show up to class so you do not miss quizzes. Pay attention and do puzzles and earn a good grade.
Provides you with a free e-book. Created exercises in e-book for points and uses proctorio for exams. Do not fall behind. A lot of work, but can earn A with effort.
I took his Blended federal gov class. Overall good professor if you listen, and you take a quiz after every lecture. They're not hard if you pay attention. All notes are online, and quizzes come from the notes, and you can use your notes on quizzes. Easy A. You do use a textbook and take online quizzes over the chapters but just once a week.
Easily the worst professor I've taken in my 3 semesters at TCC. Pop quizzes about every other class period that are very hard, even with hand written notes and my laptop pulled up with the PowerPoints he provided I would still fail the quizzes. Exams are online. Overall just a poor professor who didn't really teach anything.
Even though this class was my only B for the semester, I still highly recommend Professor Doas. He does not give extra credit, but his quizzes are open notes and exam material is based off of the puzzles he provides. I you fail this class, it is because you did not take advantage of all the resources he provides you with.
Mr. Doas gives everything needed to pass. Powerpoints, puzzles, video lectures are all given. Quizzes are open notes and exams are online but complete the puzzle to earn a good grade.
I took Peter Doas in the fall and he was definently not the greatest professor I have had but he does in a sense care about you. He has pop quizzes about once a week that are random. Although the quizzes were open notes, they usually had nothing to do with what he lectured about. He has 3 exams that are online and one in person.
Took this class as a wintermester and it was very easy! If you read the book, complete the assignments, and take the tests on time, its a walk in the park. 4 exams, 1 final, and 1 essay in 3 weeks, so I spent about 1-2 hours per day on this class. There are review exams for extra credit and questions from the review will show up on the test. solid!
Dude will make you passionate about government and he's perfect to take in the morning because he's so loud you won't be able to fall asleep. There's few, if any classes that I've learned more from than in his class.
Do you ever feel like there's a prof who takes their job way too seriously? It's THIS GUY! There is no reason this course needed to be THAT hard but he found a way. He doesn't allow any makeup/extra credit and is STUPID HARD on grading! His discussion board expectations are like a short paper. AVOID THIS GUY AT ALL COSTS.
I really liked Mr. Doas' class but, He made it way harder than it needs to be. I am not a great tester so, you can imagine how it felt to have 5 minutes to take a pop quiz. His lectures take the whole class, and he barely gives you any time to take a quiz. They are open note but do not come from the notes at all. He's a great guy but a hard grader.
Mr. Doas gives you everything you need. He gives you powerpoints, video lectures, notes, puzzles. He has pop quizzes and you can use your notes. He is funny and he connects real life situations and ties them to government.
I took Federal Government online, Professor Doas was my instructor. He seems to care. I remember asking a question via email, his response was prompt and he made a real life comparison to help me understand. However, he refused to give me a reference for scholarships, as an A student, and by the end of the semester his email responses were curt.
This professors class was very organized. I took this class for Maymester and passed with an 86. the assignments were rigorous as far as a lot to read but as long as you keep up with the assignment due dates you'll be fine. course was easy in my opinion to be a Maymester class. class was totally online. he's a fair grader also.
This guy made this class EXTREMELY frustrating. The textbook was free, but completely biased to the Democratic Party. Even though Texas is a red state. Expects you to read and remember everything for tests. Discussion posts are like a short paper. Reading takes up HOURS. hard to have time for other classes. 5 page ridiculous essay at the end.
Professor Doas is clear with the work. Opens everything on first day and with clear instructions. Lots of different types of assignments but not hard to complete, just don't fall behind. He responds fast to your emails and has solutions to your questions.
Do not take this class. I worked so hard in this class and barley made 60's on every test I took. If it weren't for the lengthy essays I probably wouldn't of passed. He made this class way more difficult than it should of been. This professor was not understanding, and will make you work extremely hard to pass this class.
Very organized, grades are automatic, all assignments through online REVEL program. Chapter assignments include assigned reading and 20-25 questions. Video quizzes are short videos with question worth 9 points. 4 discussion topics which are graded leniently if instructions are followed. 4 50 multiple choice and one 80 multiple choice question tests
I took this class online. He responded to a few emails and he is very strict and there is no extra credit. If you take this class online, he does not like if you take a quiz or test the day it is due, even though you have that time.
He was made this classes more difficult than other my classes were easy. I am Straight A students and I worked so hard this class but he did put so much homwork even though I am always ahead of time for homework, quiz, and study so hard this exam.
Took this online for wintermester during corona. Easy A. There are review exams for extra credit, and some of those questions appear on the actual exams. The textbook is on Revel and if you can, try to to finish the course in 14 days with the free trial so you don't have to pay. Doas himself is okay. He interacts very little.
Professor Doas was great and it was lot of working to do with online homework, quizzes, extra credit with each exam one through four, and his test was not easy, but some of them were from extra credit with exam review but you must read ebook.
Mr. Doas has a very organized class. Lots of work and many different types of assignments. Opens everything on the first day to start completing work but does have due dates. You get what you put in.
Do not take this class if you get this professor. Hes very strict and made this class so so so much harder than it needed to be. I usually make pretty good grades but he made it so difficult. You also have to buy a textbook that's $70 and required to pass. I had friends who took this class with another professor and had no problems/less work.
Doas opens everything at start of semester. Work is not hard, just needs to be completed.
Mr. Doas knows how to connect the material to our daily lives. He will be talking about something in government and relate to what is happening in our lives to make it easy to understand. He enjoys being in class.
This professor made this course entirely more difficult than it should have been. I took his blended course & I wanted to skip his in person so bad. It was boring & made me feel like I was at a Republican rally instead of a classroom. It feels like you torture yourself with his lectures and they aren't even on any of the tests. I don't recommend!!!
Mr. Doas makes the class interesting. His lectures connect to daily lives and makes you understand the material. Everything is online and he gives lots of time to complete the work. Early morning class, but really enjoyed it.
Pretty easy class. Few assignments every week that don't take very long to do. The only hard things were the tests, but you get to use your textbook/notes.
Makes the course easy and entertaining. Engages the whole class and compares the class problems to everyday real life problems to make us understand what the course is about
He has many different assignments which makes it interesting. Great examples to make it easy to understand.
Gave us very easy homework, you will need to show up to classes. Kept the class engaged in interesting ways. Very talkative and funny.
Mr. Doas gives great lectures. He provides examples of things going on to make the material easier to understand. I had him early in the morning and he made my day.
Although he allows you to use notes on his test, but they are extremely difficult. His lectures are very chaotic and he goes off topic very often and talks about his bunnies. His quizzes could be easy, but half of the time they were just trick questions. He allows no late work or extra credit.
He opened everything on the first day of the semester and it shuts down as the semester moves on. I completed almost everything in the first two months. He drops two lowest grades of every assignment if you have some low grades in the assignments.
Idk why rating is low I took the blended lecture class. assignments had 3-5 questions each under 3 minute timer, easy assignments, 3 exams final optional. crossword puzzles for all exams which you can use on exam. Lectures useless just use crosswords&quizlet. Only negative he talks loud & has humor some may find annoying. No group work/ice breaker
He was a great professor it was an early morning class but it was easy to pay attention because he told good jokes and kept us engaged.
I took two courses from Doas a few years ago. He was by far, one of the best teachers I've ever had and I enjoyed his classes SO much. I wish I could take him for more classes. He is insightful while adding humor. I learned so much more through his stories that would perfectly tie into the subject matter, than I would have otherwise. Much respect
I had read so many good reviews of professor Peter and many of them were true. However, I found his class very underwhelming and difficult. The tests are timed very less which I found hard as english is not my first language. We cannot edit the discussion posts nor delete it which affected my grade. These core classes should not be this difficult.
Lectures were always fun and engaging, especially for a morning class. Only 4 exams and video quizzes outside of class and data quizzes in class. The crosswords and power points he provides will help you do well on the exams. Only concern I had was he only went over a small portion of the power points in class. Don't get behind and you'll do well.
I had Professor Doas for Texas Govt through an online course. Pros: Detailed syllabus, lecture videos, and may give you a grace period after Finals to open up a closed exam. Cons: Double check due date and TIME on canvas work, does not accept late work and no extra credit. He also gives you practice tests, do them to pass the exams!
If you take a morning class beware because he is very loud.We had at least 1 test every class so don't miss a class. He does drop the two lowest grades of every assignment but he's not flexible on due dates.Take as many notes ON PAPER as you can because his tests are long and do not forget to do the reviews ON PAPER to use on the tests.Great Teacher
He is very sweet. I took his online class so the deadlines were a bit stricter, but also not bad at all. Gives enough time between assignments and one text every month. Does give detailed responses on what you are doing wrong and answers emails at a timely manner. Exams are proctored is online, but they are not hard, you just have to read the book.
Professor Doas is a very interactive and humorous within his in-person lectures. But for this reason I would not recommend taking this class ONLY online, to be frank the online lectures are very boring. I also highly recommend printing out the lecture notes or writing very thorough notes as these can be used when taking the exam.
This professor is fine. Not great, not terrible. The class is easy enough. There are quite a few assignments so make sure you keep up, they're easy though, they are video proctored so heads up. He does not offer extension, but he does allow notes for the exams. The practice exams are a must but only have about 60% of the material on the real test.
Professor Doas keeps the early morning class engaging with his jokes and real-world examples. Assignments are manageable, and unstuckstudy proved a helpful study tool alongside the crosswords he provides.
Doas has very clear assignment outline and grading policy. He is simple, straight forward and communicated well with the class. Tests, quizzes, exams and class discussions were easy, all you have to do is participate for an easy grade.
I loved taking professer Doas government class, it was a blended course so i only saw hime once a week. His lectures keep you engaged as he is quite hilarious. Attendance is necessary but if you show up every day and take lots of notes as well as do the crosswords its an easy A. You will need to take notes outside of class for a most of the slides.
Professor Doas set out his expectations and opened all the assignments right away. There were ZERO surprises so it was really helpful to stay on track. The exams are easy, but they are proctored by respondus lockdown browser. Very structured and fantastic!!!
Extremely well organized and structured in this course; information is easily retained as long as the work and readings are completed. Additional help such as video lectures, timely emails, and reminders are provided by the professor. Finishing up the 5-week summer course, the workload was relatively easy compared to held expectations.
I've taken Professor Doas both online and in person for government 2305 and 2306. He's a great professor as long as you turn your work on time he doesn't accept late work at all so stay on top of deadlines. he's actually very kind and genuinely cares about his students. My advice to succeed in this class is to do the exam reviews you'll 100% pass
Professor Doas was truly a grand teacher. As my first time taking a summer course, I found I learned a lot, despite preconceived notions about the class, all due to Professor Doas' well organized, informative syllabus and clear grading criteria. He even lets you use notes during the exams, which was rather helpful. Great class, would take again.
I took this class as a fully online accelerated course. I loved the textbook, it has many great features and was fully online. This professor is extremely strict with deadlines and will not give you any chance to redo assignments even in case of tech difficulties. Every time i reached out he was in a meeting and responded with short blunt emails.
