Dr. Germroth was a difficult teacher and was never willing to help students out. He was very unorganized.

Very hard class, professor was helpful if he sees that you are trying your very best, tests were hard, but make use of all materials on hand and you can pass without worrying.
Tough class and he expects you to know the material. He definitely considers effort, however, and will re-clarify things as much as you need. A great pick if you want to learn, a bad one if you want to coast.
Dr. Germroth was excellent in lab, had him last semester for lecture, well I thoroughly enjoyed his teaching style for lab much more. Highly recommend to take him for lab - he is much more relaxed in this type of atmosphere - very casual.

I had him for lab. I enjoyed his real life applications to the material. You can't be lazy. You've got to know the material. I was treated well but I did see him treat other students differently. I don't know if they just weren't giving enough effort or if they've never had a difficult class.

he is a horrible teacher.. tests are so nit picky.. and expects you to memorize the book.. also gives a ton of extra assignments for no appearant reason.. not helpful and mean if its raining out and it took you an extra 2 min to walk in the door
Great lecture professor but you really do need to read the book and correlate his powerpoint lecture notes with what you read. His tests are everything on his powerpoint PLUS the added information from the book on those select topics he picked for his powerpoints. Don't be lazy and read and study.

I have to disagree with the rest, because this is a good teacher, he gave a "A". The problem here is that some students are lazy. But if you study his class and test are a piece of cake.
It was very hard to understand him... He was not very clear in explaining things and his tests are very hard and real in depth. If you take his class, be prepared to do a whole lot of studying, this is not an easy course!
This is definately not an easy class with this guy. Constant yapping about his life, and always off topic. Test are very much in detail, he makes up for this with a lot of bonuses. Don't take this guy if you are not into studying hard.
This is a difficult class, however, the lab was fun and you have to attend every class. Do not take this class from anyone until you are ready to study, study, study. You will need to know how to create bar graphs in excel as the activites are worth 40% of your grades.
Very Happy with this professor. This course is hard but he makes it fun and funny. Regular exams are challenging but the final is fairly straight forward. He drops the lowest test grade which can be helpful. If you have him for lecture, try to get him for the lab as well which will also help on the exams.

Absolutely horrible run as fast as you can out the door.It's "DOCTOR GERMROTH". Very arrogant,not helpful at all.Quizzes are very hard and its fill in the blank or Q&A which is even harder..Do not take his class, save yourself the headache.

Oh my God! do yourself a favor and quit his class. I didn't enjoy his lab, it was hard, confussing and boring. Tests are hard. My peers and I had a big problem trying to at least get a B. Try someone else. I wish I had known this website before I took him
Take him if you want to remember the material even years after finishing his course. He will embed the info. into your brain. If your lazy, disrespecful, and still an immature high school kid, then do not take him and work on your adulthoodness. Also, you have address any of your teachers, PROFESSOR because this is college and not high school. HCC
HCC is locky to have him. Just go to his main page on HCC's website and look at his publications. I know he is hard, but if you do what he expects, beleive me you'll be steps further ahead of your agemates. He should be teaching in Harvard or Stanford Med school.
not a very good teacher. don't dare call him mr!! tests are detailed. lectures are not on the test; what is in the book is what is on the test. he needs to be reminded that this is a pre-requisite class and not a pre-med class. expects you to know everything in book. he puts nursing practical questions on tests. do not take him if u can help it!

First off I took him for Environmental science. And I believe he grades harder for some of his other classes. With that said it was an extremely easy class. A little bit boring, as it was 1:45 of powerpoint lecture and we rarely got out early. But attendance doesn't affect your grade and his tests were EASY if you use his study guides.

Assignments are unclear; too many assignments over different websites. Timed tests online as well as class. A lot of work, and having so many assignments all over, plus class, is confusing. Tests are also very tricky and not always what he lectures about. Do not recommend unless is only class and have lot of time.
Presently taking him for the online lecture and hybrid lab. The online quizzes are pretty straightforward; however, he is very hard at grading the essay quizzes. He fails to respond to e-mails and does not return grades in a timely manner. He acts bothered when you ask a question and is not very understanding or helpful with students. Disappointing
Very Good Teacher, has all lectures on power point, and you can get the slides online. Tests are easy and you know whats on the test from the study guide he gives you!
Very difficult class, but he is extremely helpful. Dedicate alot of time to studying because tests are almost impossible.

He is really hard. His class is a mess, the only way of leaving with a good grade is reading the whole book and memorizing and understanding everything he says, in other words, being a doctor.
does not respond to emails though he states "email will be our primary means of communication." does not grade in a timely manner, saved it all for the end of the semester. he is unforgiving.
good professor. some stuff is boring but overall it is an easy class. the tests aren't too hard as long as you know the material. it is pretty much all on the lectures.

He is the wort teacher I've ever had.My final grade was an 89.8 and he still gave me the B. He is very unrespectful and rude. Getting Anatomy with him will lower your GPA for sure.
JUST FOR LAB. I really enjoyed this class. Although you had to show up every day, you did not have to stay. His tests aren't hard if you've studied the material for more than two hours. His SHORT lectures where always interesting. AND he's very nice. I definitely recommend him for lab.

This class was very easy! Highly recommended. Lots of extra credit given (not that it's needed, the class is sooo easy). All the questions for the tests comes from the notes on his power point presentation. Only used the book near the end of the semester when making group test questions.
I took his 7 week lab over the summer and missed getting an a by 3 points.. Be prepared to memorize a lot of material and show up for class on time. Leave early at ur on peril... i would do it again if i had to.
This teacher knows his stuff...but his tests are incredibly difficult. There is SO much material on the power points (that he gives until the class before the test, meaning no real review for tests...) and if you dont pass them he only talks about how dumb you are. I don't recommend him AT ALL for lecture...
He's an excellent teacher!I have a BS in Health Science from UF and I learned more from his class than my others. He is straight forward and relates info to real life senarios. I personally liked his situational q's on tests bcs he act. makes u THINK! tests aren't hard if u expand ur thinking a little beyond just the facts. Great Teacher!
This teacher is very very very bad at teaching.. He spends his time on ratemyprofessor posting comments up of himself and trying to delete the truth other students write about him! Dont take him! He is very diffcult and does not care about his students He is frustrated with himself and doesnt deserve to be a teacher he only cares about his pay CK!
Please do not take this teacher! He hates Americans and always tells his students that they are stupid after each test he gives. He is German and just wants to fail Americans Oh and if you have a german last name you might get by with A passing Grade! WATCHOUT HE IS A WORTHLESS TEACHER!!!!
He was an awful teacher. I took him for Environmental Science Honors and the first test was brutal because he kept the same test but used new powerpoints. I got an A, but I worked really hard on the written assignments . Make sure to go to the 2 field trips. They are on fridays and one of them are mandatory. if you miss one u have to write a paper.

If you are not science minded I would not suggest taking him as a professor. He doesnt prepare for the material, goes off on tangents that dont make sense, refuses to respond to any emails made, doesnt use the text and test based on lecture. My entire class did poor on our first test and he blamed us being incompitant for not understanding.
The Germroth professor I have for APII and APII Lab does not come anywhere close to deserving the low ratings as noted on here...Prof Germroth is extremely helpful, has a great sense of humor and knows his stuff. Love his teaching style, love his class. Hopefully I will be able to take another one of his classes. Don't be afraid to take him.
good teacher,took him for A&P2 lab.His tests are not that difficult,if you put in about 2 hours a week for the lab you will get an A.
I'm very happy that I did not listen to any comments on this web site about Professor Germroth. I found him to be an excellent and fair instructor, easy to follow and to do well. He was very approachable and really cared about the students. I learned so much in his lab and enjoyed every minute.
Awesome Professor. Had for APII Lecture and Lab, with NO regrets. Very clear, great personality and really knows his stuff. Found him to be very helpful as well. Looking forward to taking another class with him.
Dr. Germroth is not an easy teacher, but most things I learned in his class will stay with me a long time. Be ready to do alot of studying and to think outside of the box on his tests. Certainly knows his stuff-good teacher.
This teacher is unrealistic. Has A/P Lab. He only gives 2 test for the whole semester, and gives 90 questions in 60 minutes. He is sticking over 1/2 semesters worth of work in 1 test. So u have only 2 chances to do half decent with very little time per test. He is very rude and is lucky that he has the upper hand by being the one giving the grade

All of you are right, he is not for lazy students. He should be in Harvard or Oxford.He is too much for HCC students to handle.All I can tell you is this, I can still remember all the A&P stuff even after two semesters, and now I got into nursing with 3.7GPA. Because from him, I learned to contribute the highest, then expect the highest.
This class is self study n for those that apply themselves. Bcuz I was forced to apply myself in this class(n change my study habits) I can confidently say I know my stuff. I got an A in this class -- Teacher is funny but stay out of his way. :0)
He didn't even "teach". I took him for lab and he bases your whole grade on 2 exams. He is not helpful AT ALL and gives you no inclination of what you should study for the test. I actually studied (a lot!) for the tests and failed the class. STAY AWAY!!
I loved anatomy until this class. I have an A in both lecture and lab and I would not recommend this professor. He has lost his love for teaching and it clearly shows. He may know his material but he is very condescending and argues every point with you even when you find the information in the book. It is obvious he is there for the paycheck.
Very straight and to the point. There were no opportunities for extra credit. Very clear with understanding him and the information. Helpful with explaining the brain. I would not recommend the hybrid class. The majority of the labs were redundant. i only found 2 helpful for any test related information.
Talks A LOT. 3 hr lab was spent with him talking for most of it, leaving little time to do the actual lab. He has little patience and is short & even rude to students who do not understand his instructions. He took more than a month to grade labs & quizzes. It was frustrating at best. I still managed an A. He is not a good teacher.

Talks about how bad our country is. Also spent last 4 lectures on EVOLUTION, which has nothing to do with class. Only a Midterm, and Final. Terrible!!!
This guy can not teach. PLEASE do not take him.Unless you are pre-med stay away. He teaches as if your working towards a Doctorates, when all you need is an associates. He should be teaching at Harvard not in community college. In my opinion he is TERRIBLE at teaching althoug he is a very smart man. Do yourself a favor and take someone else for A&P

Dr. Germroth in my opinion is a pretty fair professor. If you have a problem, address it as soon as possible with him and he will work with u. The material is extensive, but if you study the material more than once, listen to his recorded lectures,address any concerns early, you will be successful in this class. NOTE: You will be required to read!!
This is a correction to my initial rating on Dr. Germroth. This professor is willing to help you out if needed and if you have any concerns/problems address them early, not half way through the semester. NOTE: Read the material in the text more than ONCE and listen to his recorded lectures. This material is not always mentioned in the text book.
He is very smart, but SO difficult. His tests are very tricky if you don't read the chapter 2-3 times as well as take tons of notes in his lectures. I tried my hardest and still didn't get the grades I felt deserving of. If you are looking for a HUGE challenge, this teacher is for you. If you are looking for good grades, don't take his class!!
My expereince with this teacher was not good at all, he just doesn't seem to care. He is unclear, & if you ask him a question he expectsyou to know and not ask ?'s. Is as if students are afraid to ask for help. You email him and he says read syllabus like thats not cool. He needs to understand that some students struggle with difficult this class.
Took this class online over summer. A lot of detailed information in a very short amount of time.I knew going in he would be difficult per the reviews, but had no choice as he was only one available. At first I thought his tests were ridiculously hard and tricky. However, now that I'm done I realize I learned A LOT! Not an easy A but an earned one!

I took his class online.To pass his class you have to attend every Lab,read each chapter twice, listen to the online lectures, read the opt. material,take notes, study,study,pay attention to due dates,read syllabus,and pray. He can be rude and won't answer questions found in the syllb.Must be on top of your game with him..good teacher very smart.
Definitely do not enroll with this teacher if you can avoid it. He is unapproachable and unclear when giving assignments. He gives bad grades and expects you to know everything, it's really difficult to get him to explain what he wants out of his assignments. He's also very condescending. Don't dare call him "Mister" or "Professor".

I took him for human reproduction as well as anatomy 1 and I loved him. Anatomy is a hard class reguardless of the professor. Everything you need to know is in his powerpoint. STUDY STUDY STUDY and you will do fine. Already signed up to take anatomy 2 with him

I really enjoyed having Dr. Germroth as my professor for AP1. One of the few teachers at HCC that I've had who talks to students like they are adults. Expectations for course work are very clear. Class is not easy, so copious studying is necessary. You definitely will learn a lot, though! Highly recommend.

Dr. Germroth was very helpful. He was clear on what was expected and very respectful to all his students. Never did a question go unanswered. If you had a problem, he always helped solve the issue. I took him for A&PI lab and A&PII lecture. I would recommend him highly. I learned a lot.
Prof. was forward with what he expected. This is an AnP class and not meant to be easy. I think those who rate him bad did not put the effort into the class. I passed with a B and could have worked harder and got an A. It was totally my fault not his. Read your chapters and do your homework and you will pass.
Awesome lecturer, very helpful, great slides. His tests for lecture are incredibly difficult. He lets you keep the test sheets and even using the book to check answers doesn't always make an answer pop out, lots of between the lines reasoning. His lab quizzes are much easier, just one good read through should be enough for A's and B's.

Dr. Germroth is a stickler but believes in giving you all the help possible as long as you ask him. He is a great teacher, grades assignments/tests fair and I would take another class of his. I took the lecture and lab classes online with him.
This was SOO not the teacher for me! He is hard to understand. Trying to go to his office was no help either. Even a couple of emails never got responded. At all cost DON'T TAKE HIM, unless you are a self learner!
If he thinks you have a dumb question he is very open about it, but not in a mean way. He teaches with lecture, but if you have interesting knowlege he listens. He is not easy, but that only forces you to study and learn! My mistake was not following the study rubric, but the trick is to study each subject on the rubric in depth to solidly grasp it
He knows his stuff. Lectures are good and informative. He expects you to learn a lot on your own. He lectures on what he feels you need to know, much of which may not be in the textbook.
He is a VERY nice guy, but it extremely difficult to understand. He doesn't tell you what's on the exam, just tells you to study EVERYTHING. I am currently taking his class and am struggling to pass. I passed A&P I lecture and lab with an A, no problem. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS UNLESS YOU ARE A SELF LEARNER. :(
I love this guy! Human reproduction and inheritance is a class everyone should take for their science elective. Professor Germroth is this hilarious German guy who is VERY knowledgeable about this subject. He makes the class interesting and its an easy class to pass. I would highly recommend him.
AWFUL! His lectures are VAGUE at best. He doesn't narrow ANYTHING down for his exams. His exams only have 30 or so questions that cover 3 chapters!!! I got A's in A&P 1 and am now struggling to pass. NEVER TAKE HIM!!!

DO NOT take his class, even if you absolutely need it wait for a better teacher or take it at a different school. yes given its a hard subject but he makes it even harder. Cant even keep up with his own curriculum because he talks about germany so much. He aint worth it.
It was a very interesting class. I learned a lot and, I did strive to learn throughout the whole semester. But, the teaching style was not clear. Overall, the review for his test did not match what was on the final or midterm. He is passionate about the subject and it shows!!! I wish him the best. He certainly needs to work on the structure more.
This class is hard. It is an exercise in memorization and forcing yourself to study. With that being said, Dr.Germroth did an excellent job telling us on Day 1 exactly what was expected and not deviating from that. I respect that type of consistency. If you want to be babied and half learn this stuff, congratulations you are a CNA...

This class was hard. If you study, and hit your bench marks you can make it. Dr. Germroth was very helpful and was always available. Just try not to speak if you do not know what you are speaking of. Read your book!!!
Takes forever to e-mail you back, does not allow you see the test after he has graded them and expects you to study the entire book for his tests!
This professor is by far the worse!! He doesn't respond to emails and if you take his online class his final is based on his lecture course. So the final is a joke and nothing like his tests he gives for his online course...don't take him and run!!!
You Have to actually study. Its not a fluff class. He makes sure you know what your talking about.
Only take this class if if your not ready an willing to give it all your time he does not give study guides therefore its up to you to know what to study and what not to. He wants you to know a lot so take another class such as biology first then his class it will help a lot

2 semesters this side of my bachelors. Went back to HCC (I'm an alumnus with honors) to take this class. Hardest class ever taken. Book is completely online. Professor slow to respond to emails. I've taken many online classes, this one was the absolute worst. Unless this is your absolute last resort stay away.
I got no help at all the entire class. I am going to have to retake this class with a different teacher. I was never sure what I had to study so I tried to study everything and that never worked. The tests are extremely hard and they are timed. I got no real answers from the teacher except "Read the book". Maybe he is better in person....
This professor does not give you a study guide for the tests. During his lectures , he gets off subject at times. To pass his class study every day, read the chapter before going to class,do work ahead of time, participate in class ,do all your mastering a&p homework online correctly the first time doing it and pay close attention to power points.
To pass this class you need to spend all your time and effort for this subject. I went to tutoring for this class and still did not pass. Study everything because on his test youll never know what will be on it bc there is no study guides. When you ask for help , he will not help you. Germoth gets off subject during lectures, also.
don't take his class. Even grade A students fail. No extra credit and he expect you to know the whole book for the final exam which doesn't even cover much of what's on the online lecture site. He doesn't give you any study guides and no help what so ever. If you are a healthcare student please stay away.
I wish the course objectives were a little more clear, but the rest of the course was great. The final was much easier than the HW assignments. The syllabus and grading criterion was very concise. You will do fine if you read the assigned chapters, do your hw, and study for the final.
I really do not know why they let him teach. I had an A throughout the class and failed the final so I ended up with a 76% which is a C but he failed me with a D. DON"T TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS GUY! .... P.S the final is ridiculous

Not only does he want you to look at things in his notes and the book but for you to go out of your way to find information that he doesn't assign to you. It's like he expects us to read his mind. The homework is LONG, tests are tough but most of the test questions can be found on quizlet. The final comes directly from previous tests. I didn't see a single question I had not seen before. Professor himself is nice and gets back with 24 hours if you need anything. I would recommend him.
I had Professor Germroth for lecture and lab A&P II (distance learning for lecture), and while I was able to make As, the classes were stressful. Make sure you have time to dedicate. The absolute worst part were the tests in lecture, averaging well over 100 questions, usually 120ish.
There was one occasion where he gave us a pop quiz on to know the side effects of a certain illness. There was only two given to us through his lecture and through the textbook that was assigned to us. He wanted three on the quiz. We said we didn't know and he said," I wanted you to look it up without me telling you". You tell me the logic in that.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!! He bombards you with an unbelievable amount of information and then asignment quizzes and assignments that are based on his perspective of what is important in these lectures and materials but tells you to give your perspective as to what is important and then grades you negatively if your perspective isn't the same as his.
Online class was ok. Homework is about what you'd expect. Final was very tough.
Didn't mention any "Gordon Requirement" discussion assignments until it popped up in the last week of the class and provided very little instruction as to how he wanted it completed; poor, unclear grading criteria (i.e. states we must respond to a podcast discussion but doesn't say how long of a response is required for full credit).
The HW is tough, tests are tough but the final follows the HW and tests. If you do all the reading and all the extra study area stuff (art-labeling, practice quizzes and tests) you'll be prepared but its still tough to get an A. This stuff isn't easy and he really wants you to know it because it will make you better. Glad I had him!
I took an on-line class, big mistake. If you are expecting to learn, you won't. Discussion were not explained at all. Everything is submitted through MyLab ... assignments and tests. I never had an instructor, who relied on a textbook as this instructor did. No power points, lectors, or projects. I wouldn't recommend this teacher.
I found my A&PI so easy and interesting that I believed that A&PII will be the same, but it was a big mistake. I took the class online; quizzes are long and test are tough to get As, but you can find some questions on quizlet. If you really want to get good grades, do not take him or do not take the class online because it will be nightmare.
He is rude and makes you feel dumb when you don't understand anything. I have worked so hard in this class to get a C? I've gotten A's and B's in all my classes and I never had so many meltdowns from one course. It was horrible and I wish I didn't take him.
Peter Germroth- the most unprofessional /rude professor I have ever taken & probably ever will. A&P lab is not exactly an easy subject BUT the online course is ridiculous. His syllabus had errors & talks down to students by berating how badly they did. Assignments are pretty easy but there is only one exam & it's TOUGH. Fill in the blanks questions
Took him for A&P 2 online. Get ready to read and study! The best thing I did was after every chapter go to the study area and take the quizes over and over ! A lot of the questions from the final were from there! You need to know the material though to pass, just remembering the quizzes will not give you a passing grade! Very tough!
He is a horrible teacher, he does not know how to teach at all, not clear in his lectures, I do not recommend him to anyone. He is rude and will make fun of anyone. HORRIBLE
I took this class for A&P II and wouldn't recommend him. He's very monotone and goes off on unrelated tangents during lecture. I have never felt so exhausted and tiresome listening to a professor. He is smart and witty. However he drives no interest in his class and his class is droning. Grades on discussions on his on podcasts.
Dr. Germroth is an amazing teacher. He's full of insight and is very helpful. I took his online Biology II and Lab and loved it. He posts a lot of material and we did about 2 chapters a week but it's all structured well. Extra assignments are extremely interesting. Focus because it's a lot at once. Fun field trips. Lab is a simulator.
Difficult class! Intense subjects includes biochemistry! Not a gen science credit! Prof does his best to use various ways of learning like videos, lectures, reading, worksheets, etc. He tries to reach every learning type. His "tangents" are used to make this relevant to your world. He is funny and likable. No shortcuts-hours and hours study needed!
this class should be 3 semesters (AP1&2) too much info in a short time. He gifted us with chances to improv our grade via extra credit, quizzes and graded HW. The HW was also good practice and quizzes were automatic 100% just for trying. I cant agree with many of the reviews. You get out of this what you put into it. Only take this if mandatory.
Hardest class, I wish I could have withdrawn. I spent days studying and preparing notes and the test were so hard I felt like I was reading them in a foreign language. Plus lots of stress on timed test with little time to even think about the answers. So disappointed!
I took this professor for an online course. He made us buy two online packages for over $200. One of the online packages that was over $100, he only made us use 3-4 times. Very sassy when it comes to emailing back. Felt like I could barely talk to him without him being sarcastic. I honestly would never take him again!
DO NOT TAKE HIM. He speaks to you through email as though you're below him. He requires this "field trip" for lab that you have to wade through water, SO BRING WATER SHOES!!! And if you don't go, you have to go somewhere else and do it on your own. Proctored final, all other assignment/tests on your $125 and $80 access codes for lab and class.

Took human anatomy & physiology II online. Pretty easy class except for the final exam which youre required to get better than a 50% or you automatically fail.
Professor Germroth gives you good lectures, lots of homework, and provides a study guide before each test. In order to do the homework you need to read and study the book; if you get a lot of wrong answers in the homework, your grade goes down. Also be prepared for class (read the chapters ahead) because he will ask questions during lecture.
Tests are tough but hes super nice and wants you to pass, he also does a curve which helps a lot. As long as you put in the effort youll do well and learn a lot.
To pass you need to read the text book, do the study guide, and study the slides. His lectures are useless but he gives a good outline of what you need to study. His tests are complicated because the questions are not straightforward knowledge. The questions require thinking and clear understanding
He was one of the best, if you taking him and follow the lectures you will be fine. He is really good

Condescending and extremely rude. Not worth your time to take his classes. Extremely boring to listen too. Do yourself a favor and find another class.
I was hesitant to take the class with all the negative reviews. I would like to say that a lot of his demeanor is simply misunderstood. He's German. From Germany. Social norms are VERY different there. That said, his expectations are clear, and if you follow directions you will succeed. No shortcuts - put in the work, get the good grade.
I took his lecture class online for 2086. His assignments and tests are very easy, but the final is so hard. You have to get a 50% to pass and it sounds easy, but the final was not what I expected. His online class is easy but just be prepared for the final. The price for the access code was also expensive about $150 or more I cant remember.
Very difficult to understand. Arrogant and condescending. He acts like he forgets you're there to learn. Would never recommend anyone take this class.

This guy is not on your side. Do the work, make sure to ask a lot of questions, because like a lot of profs. if it's not perfectly what he wants you to say, he'll mark it off. I had a solid A (95%) in the class till the last two weeks when he decided to give me a 30% on an assignment I did fine on because it wasn't exactly like his. No re-submits
I am historically an A student and this course will be my first ever B. Professor Germroth was unclear of what he expected in essays, had unprofessional feedback, and was not helpful when I emailed him asking for help.
I am honestly so shocked I passed. All of his lab assignments were pretty easy Just a lot of work. However, his final is ridiculous. 130 questions that include pictures and fill in the blanks, and he chose the hardest structures to identify. He expects you to study the whole textbook for it. And I emailed him once and he was very rude to me lol.
I took him online and he was strict on papers. You need to carefully watch his given videos and pay attention to every small detail. If you're straight-A student, I recommend not to take him. He also responded slowly.
1) The work is super tedious. I mean like 4-5 hours a week constantly. If you taking a full credit you may end up cramming if you forget. 2) Test cover 4-6 chapters average and are time, so know youre stuff. 3) Final is a beast if you slack you can drop a grade level with ease. Test/HW review Good luck Med majors because Bio 2 can be dull
All the assignments are just online questions which are basically free points although some take as long as 3 hours. Watch the videos since he can see who views them, only the final is proctored ;) and the final is mostly questions from previous tests that you can review for. Just do every assignment and review for the final and you'll be good.
Not the best professor, but not the worst either. He makes you pay 200 dollars for an access code which is ridiculous, challenging classwork & hard final exam. However he does make you work for it which makes you better. Getting an A is hard, but not impossible. Also, he tends to have a very rude tone in his emails so be aware of that.
This guy is not on your side as a student. Had a 100% in the class until I turn one of my papers in late by two minutes was a great paper he gave me a C because of that and was very rude with the comments. Course had great material just the wrong professor
He is extremely picky when grading papers. He expects his students to write better than he does. The is an absurd amount of videos, as well as extra reading assignments that do not help with actually learning the material. His directions for assignments are vague, so follow the directions at a minimum if you want to receive a C.
Dr. Germroth is one of the worst professors I have had. Extremely rude, condescending, and egocentric. I maintained an A, but his lack of professionalism and his extremely harsh grading criteria made it almost impossible to do so. I advise everyone to stay away from this professor if you want to maintain your GPA, especially with a full course load
He is literally the worst professor I've ever had. Please don't take his class. He is very rude and does not care about you or you or your grade. It took me 5 hours to write some stupid essay and he gives me an F because the "grammar isn't correct" like what? He will literally pick on you just to make you look dumb! He is not worth your time.
If you don't complete his immensely vague assignments and write your papers at a Ph.D level then the highest grade you will get is a C. Don't take him. I was left with no other option because I registered for classes late and all these negative reviews were pretty spot on. Again, don't his class. Seriously.
This professor sucks! The hardest grader ever, I took him for BSC 2011L and BSC 2085, both time has been awful. Would not recommend this professor at all. Take anybody else. He literally is the harshest person to ever teach. I have passed all my science classes with an A , but he is the only one that I have gotten a C in. This should tell you alot!
If you like getting Cs, take this class. You will have to argue for a good grade. Literally. I emailed him over 4 different assignments because he did not give specific enough instructions in his submission and tried to fault me for his lack of instruction. Will check that you watched a full 10+ hours worth of content and accuse you of cheating
Hes the worst professor and hes rude. Hes tests are about 30-60 questions and you get very little time. You dont even have time to study for the final exam. You literally have to do a test 3 days before which is aggravating. The final exam is hard and you have no time to think about the questions carefully, its like one minute per question.
Dr. Germroth is great! He lays out what needs to be done in a clear way, every link for the week is live so be sure to click them to do the quizzes. Teach yourself inside the online atlas, a few other small projects. All easy to do and learn. Gave 15pt xtra on the final. You just have to learn and know the material to pass.
Do not take EVR 1001C with this professor. He's one of those professors who will avoid giving even the best, most intelligent student an A. He makes a simple class like environmental science impossible to pass with anything above a C, because he grades it so tough. He's EXTREMELY disrespectful with his critique on essays. I'm an English major
Im not even finished with this class and this has been the worst professor Ive ever dealt with. It would KILL this man to give any of his students full credit and will find any minuscule detail to take points off of your assignment. He waits until after due dates to grade assignments so the multiple attempts you have are wasted. Beware.

I took this professor because there wasn't any other available and the experience was the worst. Even if you think that you are a good student and you do all almost perfect, it never will be enough. Also, if you don't call him Dr. he'll tell you that you aren't very professional. Guys don't take this professor, this decision will affect your grade
Just to let you know Im a A+ student going for neurosurgery and I have a 5.2 gpa. And this teacher was by far my worst he doesnt work with you on anything and could care less for what you have to say. Even if he was the last teacher left do not take him!!! Wait until the next semester if need be.
He is not as bad as people make him out to be. He is German so he is very straightforward and does not mess around. As long as you pay good attention, have lots of notes, and participate in the discussion then you'll be fine. Bottom line is that you HAVE to put in the work. He is also a pretty easy grader!!!
Germroth was a great teacher!! Hes not what people cut him out to be on here and I enjoyed the class completely. There is a lot of online work, but he does help and answers any questions you may have about the material.
Do yourself a favor and don't take the reviews with a grain of salt. I literally just started his BSC-2011/BSC-2011L courses as he was the only one available. I never noped out of a class so quickly. I'm waiting another semester or two for a professor that's worth it. And the forced field trip for an ONLINE course/lab?? incredibly asinine.
Just to let you know Im a A student going for my RN. I graduated LPN school with a 3.9 gpa. This Professor was by far my worst, he doesnt work with you on anything He could care less what you have to say. Even if he was the last teacher left do not take him!!! Wait until the next semester if need be!

This was one of the most rude professors I have ever been a student of. His comments were disrespectful and showed no remorse, I finally had enough and sent a message back to him. He is no help and a tough grader and talked down on me when I did an assignment bad. I will be reporting him.
Take this Professor only if you want to be absolutely ridiculed. This professor doesn't teach. He assigns 6 hrs of YouTube videos, an assignment with a vague rubric, and then nasty feedback as his routine. Feedback highlights your mistakes without any explanation at all. The most unprofessional professor I have ever been in contact with.

Avoid taking this professor's class if you can. He makes a straightforward course incredibly difficult, with harsh grading and little support. Try using Unstuck study to prepare instead.
This class was overly complicated for no reason. I am not a fan of mcgraw hill and would much prefer if I was able to watch a lecture, I didn't care for most of the info provided. I don't know what it is, but it seems all online prof. never put any effort into their teaching. They just scrap up other materials and feed it to us without any effort.
