Clearly explains the methods used and doesnt move on till u really understand it. he's always willing to help
He was very clear about everything covered. In the end, if you do not do your HW, he drops it and if you did your HW he gave you extra piont toward your final grade.
Nice guy...very clear and helpful. Tests aren't too difficult. 4 Tests and a final. Drops your lowest test grade out of the 4.
He is really a great professor. He actually makes math fun (this is coming from a person who hates math). He breaks down everything into little details making it easy to understand. He's not too particular about homework or attendance just do good on test
Professor Gregory is a good precal teacher. He's very helpful and respects his students. His hws may be lengthy but he gives full credit for trying. He's also an easy grader and teaches well. Highly recommended.
I love him. He made me brilliant. Cannot thank him enough. He is the reason i come to school. Too cool.
He is a great teacher. Really cool dude. He explains in ways that no other math prof. explained before. I definitely recommend him!!
One of the best teachers in Baruch. He is funny and knows what he is doing.Trust me, he's great. And the proof is me: I went from a D+ in precal to a B+ in calculus. STRONGLY RECOMMEND
He is nice and funny. But sometimes he forgot what is he teaching and lost track on the problems. He is willing to help students.
VERY GOOD PROFESSOR. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET A GOOD GRADE AND GET THROUGH CAL. HE IS CLEAR, N HELPFUL. HES A COOL GUY AND HIS TESTS R PRETTY EASY N STRAIGHTFORWARD. ONE OF THE BEST PROF I HAD.
HE'S ONE OF THE BEST MATH TEACHERS EVER. HE REALLY LIFTED MY GPA. HE IS SO GOOD THAT I HAD AN A IN HIS CLASS AND THE SEMESTER BEFORE I HAD A D IN PRE-CAL. AND HE'S HOT!
EXPLANATIONS ARE CLEAR. MOST TESTS'RE BASED ON REVIEW SHEETS - AS LONG AS YOU STUDY, YOU'LL GET IT. HOMEWORK'S IMPORTANT. COME TO CLASS, TAKE NOTES, DO YOUR H/W & ENJOY THE CLASS.
got a B+ cant complain when a lot of people fail other sections ... hes a good prof. you will do good aslong as u attend class and look over review sheets
One of the best professor at Baruch! Always make sure that students understand the subject. Willing to stay late or uses virtual hours on blackboard.
Coolest professor ever!
this guy is the best math teacher i ever had!!!explains the concepts very well, post lectures on BB, and gives extra credit. highly recomended!
No doubt the best math teacher there is!!! It is probably my last math class ever, and im glad i had the chance to learn with him. Just take him!!
he is very helpful, funny and makes the class interesting
he is the best professor i've ever had. If you study the review sheet he gives you, you'll pass the test.. he is very funny, he makes you laught a lot....Hey just tale it..he is a really nice professor.
This professor is the best i ever had! As a student who got 58 in the first test due to laziness to a 96 on a final, he provides class notes on blackboard, step by step explanations to homework problems, and he even gives live help on the virtual blackboard! TIPS: (1) DO THE HOMEWORKS because its very similiar to the tests!if only there was a 10/5!
great professor! he's a great teacher, explains concepts well, and he'll even help you 20 mins before an exam. Very helpful teacher, and nice unlike most of the other professor's in baruch. I sucked in math and I even did ok - got a B+ not bad for a C student in math. do the hw and study and you are guaranteed a good grade. Plus he's cute....
Great professor, he uses humor to energize the entire class. He also explains math concepts and problems very well. I got an A on the course because of hard studying and my tutor. His tests are straight forward. If you know everything on his review sheets you'll be fine. He is willing to help you out. He also enjoys reality T.V shows.
he is a real teacher. Thanks for your effort Gregory :)
He is the best math professor at Baruch. He explains the material very well and he is very funny.I would take his class all over agian !!
What a professor, if baruchs profs were like him, i think it would be helluva lot better college, but this time he just made it easy. I got a B+, he dropped the lowest grade, and literally gave the questions b4 the test. He is really funny, he tries to help you till you cant 4get it. A BIG PLUS, I TOOK IT OVER TH SUMMER. EZZZZZZ
just study your notes and you'll get an A. His tests are basically the same thing as his examples from class except he changes a few numbers around.Highly recommended!!!!
This professor is one of the best, period. I actually failed his class the first time I took it and then later realized that I totally deserved that F. I then retook his class instead of choosing another professor and actually did my work and got an A. He changed my life. I grew up alot thanks to the Gregory experience. Gregory, you're the man!
He's the man in Cal. Drops the lowest grade out of 4 exams
Professor Gregory is the best Professor in Math in this school and maybe in New York. He is one of the most intelligent person I have ever met. He teaches and makes math easy for you, even if you struggle in math like I do. There is no words to describe how great this Professor is. TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO SUCEED IN THE MATH!!! HE IS THE BEST!!!!
He is so funny and cute!! he makes things easy for u and there is no way u get low grade in his class!! curve a LOT, and u will LOVE him through the semester!!
do take him!!!!unclear class!!a lot of students come in the begining, but after one month, obly a few people stay there! becareful if you took his class!!
He is the best calculus prof. on campus. I failed it with someone else, and got an A with Gregory. Just be prepared that calculus is very very demanding and hard. Do your excercises and will be fine
HE is the best! His classes are fun and understandable!!!! However, the FINAL failed many people! The average of the final was 61% out of 100%. Gregory is very good but the department just wants to give you some weird questions! Be ready for the final it is 1/3 of the grade. Gregory takes the attendance only 2-3 times in a whole semester.
This prof. is as easy as hell. I failed this class before, but got an a with him. He is very amiable. I highly recommend taking him.
THIS PROFESSOR ONLY WANTS YOU TO PASS. HE IS SO HELPFUL. HE TAKES TIME OUT & HELPS YOU WITH YOUR MATH PROBLEMS UNTIL YOU GET UNDERSTAND IT. HE IS ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS AT BARUCH.
He's very fast.
great professor, he always gives bonus and extra points. if u dont get something he is willing to help u. i also took with for college algebra and in both courses i passed with a B. (no hard work, only for the final)
He is best calculus professor in Baruch ever. I've taken this twice and failed and now I'm doing very well and finally get the stuff being taught. I'm very grateful for my luck to landed in his class or else I might have to take it for the 4th time. He is really clear and thorough with his teaching and he makes sure you understand. Very cute too!
Unless you know math well, go for someone else. He teaches very quickly and it's hard to keep up.
The man curves good. But he looks like Saget lol.
his teaching is so clear. Hot and smart
Okay teacher, a little too fast-paced for my liking. Made it difficult to fully grasp the material because of the constant jumping from topic to topic. Not entirely his fault though, lots of material to cover. Very friendly, nice, and tries to help.
One of the worst math professors ever...Goes so fast and basically solves the problem without letting you understand the procedures of it...Also has these weird examples...Like on a graph that swirves he'll mention that as dolphins swimming...wth? Anyways, if you wanna learn and pass, then take another professor I advise you.
Clear explanations of the material, uses jokes and funny examples; easy going as a professor during the class; will help you and answer all your questions; if you study and do all the webwork assignments-pretty easy to pass; uses curves.
The last time I saw Math-was like 10 years ago, in the other country!!! This guy made me understand this subject and get a good grade, though I've always hated Math. Do you have any more doubts regarding this Professor?
He's a great professor and he knows how to explain the subject without losing anyone's interest. I would highly recommend registering for ANY of his classes.
The class is easy bc the subject is easy. He assigns webworks which are due almost weekly, sometimes more than two assignments within a week. He's really laid back with it though and will reopen whenever you ask. We had three exams & one optional one. Optional homework, easy exams. Easy A? I think so.
Super easy if you are already good at math. His teaching is a bit fast and he likes using humor during lessons which I found attention grabbing. For my class he didn't use the textbook. The only mandatory homework was webwork. Which is super hard, but if you can do the webwork you will do fine on tests and the exam. My test average was like a 106.
Hes easygoing and helpful but has a monotone. I got a D but thats because I generally suck in math lol but my classmates did really well. He even dropped the lowest test for us.
gives hw, quizzes, MT, Final. took him in the summer for calculus. do the hw, go to class. gives good review. not the easiest class, but not unbearable.
Really funny teacher! Always jokes around. THe quizes are easy and tests are cumulative so watch out. THere is partial credit. Highly recommended! If you take his class, you will have a blast! as long as you do good on the tests you should get a good grade.
He is an excellent teacher. I used to hate math but I love it now. Not only he was cute, his explanation was always clear and always took time for reviewing and answering hw questions in class. I really want to take him again. Please stay!!
Applied Calculus is difficult as it is. But he makes it more complicated with his teaching. Although he favors that students pass his class, I still got very confused with his method of teaching. Tests were a mix of hard and easy.
Hands down the best math teacher there is (or was now) at Baruch. Too bad he's leaving...
The Best Math Professor .
Professor Gregory is by far the best Math Professor in this school. Every math Professor in the school does not even compare to him!! He will do anything in his power to make you pass and give you a good grade. I wish every professor was like him. He explains everything clearly and prepares you for the final all semester long. A+++++++++++++++++
The best math professor, I've ever seen. Clear, helpful and funny. Makes math look like a joke. Got an easy A.
I miss Peter Gregory! I wish I could see him again!
He's aight, somewhat practical in explaining examples. Helpful as well. Still taking his course and its good so far. oh, he gives you opportunities to make up just about all (some) of your grades.
This is the best professor you will ever come across at Baruch. He wants to make sure you pass the final. He knows that math is not your life and just a requirement you need to fulfill. As long as you make sure that you understand the material you will do very well. There is a lot of material to cover so he does breez across some of it.Dont blame him.
3exams n final (1 short quiz e/ wk: dont think that's horrible cuz they prepare u for exams).explains txtbook clearly, review sheets for exams: definitely helpful. fair grader. corrections to quizzes AND EXAMS. makes the absolute ridiculous n humorous analogies to help u understand the lessons, but helpful.keeps h is office hrs.GORGEOUSLY HOT. HOT.
One of the BEST professors at Baruch.
I was so sure that i'll pass, because it seemed so easy and nice.My average during semester was b+.Every wed.was quiz or exam.he is joking and makes you feel comfortable with math.He knows that you dont need it in ur life,so makes lefe easier.Corrections for exams and quizes make u feel like u r ready.Final i failed.I still upset
so i don't know who is better buckley who makes you sweat, but u pass or gregory who makes u laugh, but u fail the final, because u r sure that u r ready, because the whole semester was a breeze for u??
Very Final focused. He gets straight to what you need to know. Will explain until you get it, and if you don?t just ask. Uses every minute of the class and prepares you for the final. He also makes a good studding atmosphere. Has a good sense of humor and is not bad looking. By far one of the best professors. Makes math accessible to simple minds:)
Amazing professor, funny and thoughtful. He cares for your grades. If you do poorly on a quiz or an exam, you can redo it and get half of the credit you didn't get added to your real quiz/exam. Can't get any better than that! Take him! Exams were kinda tough but if you don't understand something, you can always ask him during his office hours. Good
he is a Very good professor, discussing probability in class is very funny and interesting stuff, and i am preparing my GMAT, I suddenly find that this class is a very helpful for your GMAT MATH preparation. strongly recommend...
great professor. explains everything 10 times. available after class. got 98. take him! his tests are not that hard and there are bonuses for your home made review after he hands the results of the tests.
Amazing professor. This guy is young, knowledgeable and extremely funny! explains everything clearly! exams are easy (even though the first exam was endless), most questions are straight from HW. The problem sets are pain in the ass. Overall, a very good professor, I'd say he's one of the best in the math department. A MUST TAKE CLASS!!
He is a very good professor with some funny examples to try and make you remember functions. I highly recommend taking him, probably one of the best professors I've had at Baruch. Best thing about him is being able to make up exams to boost your grade, he gives you the average of the original and the make up, which is done at home.
Amazing professor! He's a very considerate guy when it comes to the work load. Even though I hate math, his class was something I looked forward to b/c he's funny & makes the class entertaining. Aside from that he's great at teaching the material & explaining. Of coure he always makes time for questions. My class had two final review sessions; the
Not a bad teacher. He puts up the notes online.
Prof Gregory is great. He will drop the lowest grades in quiz and he gives out extra credits for doing your exam corrections.
this professor doesn't not explain anything in class. all he talks about is his children and other useless staff. shows one simple problem that he does it himself and then puts hard one's on the exam. waists a lot of time in class. If i knew, i would stay a way from his class. DONT TAKE HIM. ONE OF THE WORSE PROF IN BARUCH!!!
Great professor. Very easy to understand,he is also available via e-mail when you have questions.Simple but direct to the point
If you pay attention to his class and do the assigned problems, you will get an A. Applied calculus is pretty hard generally. He tries to make it easy for student to understand. He shows us step to step to solve the problem. Very clear , very helpful. You can stop him anytime if you have any question. Besides, he has a very good attitude.
He is a great professor. He is really helpful, gives us so many extra credits, and curves our grade. But, he is not a magician, so there is no miracle for students who are not good at math. If you have a good luck at the final, you might get A, but nomally end up with B or c.
Awesome professor! Not only is he funny and approachable but he teaches the material well and gives many opportunities for extra credit. One of the best math prof at Baruch!
He is an okay professor, his rating is too high here.
i loved this class...i usually suck at math but this professor made it very understandable and was very helpful. i totally recommend him 100% :-)
AWESOME PROFESSOR! Should definitely take his class. I suck at math and hated it for the longest time, he makes it fun and enjoyable. He's helpful and always replies to emails quickly. TAKE HIS CLASS
One of the best professors at Baruch. He is friendly and so funny. The course is hard, but he is clear and really helpful. You would love him through the semester. Take him!
He is very nice and he gave out sample exam b4 the exam which help a lot. Questions are from HW and the pre-exam so do it and u will be fine. He tried to explain everything to u and uploaded all the notes online which is great if u hav to miss a class. Overall nice prof and a easy class
I took his class last semester. There are few teachers in the world that teach with passion and enthusiasm. Professor Gregory fits perfectly in that category. He is very funny and erudite. I had a pleasure learning and laughing in his class. Highly recommended. Work hard. Study hard. Dont be disillusioned by Baruch's Calculus retention rate.
Peter is hilarious and a great professor. Young, funny, really knowledgeable about math, taught us great trick. He's very skilled with the computer, showing examples and then posting the entire class as PDFs, makes studying for quizzes/exams a breeze. Great with the partial credit too!
Pr. Gregory is extremely knowledgeable about the subject, has great sense of humor, can give a ton of examples to explain the problem, posts helpful tips and class notes on the BB and is responsive over email. If you are thinking of taking this course over the winter, Pr. Gregory is your guy! I would not have survived this class with another prof.
Great professor, great sense of humor. Very adept at using Blackboard to enhance the students experience. Absolutely no complaints, if you have to take Calculus during a winter session or any semester, this is your guy to do it, enjoy it, and excel in.
Best Calculus teacher in Baruch hands down, I dare anyone to challenge that!
He's pretty good. He always helps if you need it and he makes the class fun.
Absolutely great professor, he fully prepares you for the final. He's pretty generous when it comes to grading. He gives a good curve, plus the extra points he gives for quiz and exam corrections. Gotta say he's one of the best math professors in Baruch. I'm glad I took his class and got a good grade.
best math professor at baruch, really knows his stuff and tries his best to help students pass. exams are modeled to look like the departmental final 1/2 calculator 1/2 non- calculator and gives very helpful videos for webwork problems. PLEASE TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO PASS CALCULUS!!!
i love him so much , very easy going and extremely helpful.make you ready to pass final exam. i would recommend everyone who want to pass final. plus he is funny and cute
One word. Amazing. The semester is not even finished and I'm confident I'll get an "A" grade due to his teaching style.
Amazing teacher. Best math teacher i have ever had. Actually cares about students and pretty darn funny. I recommend taking him if you can, i wish i can take him for Calc 3 . Take him he is hot and does a cute thing with his fingers
Really good math professor, who has a really good learning environment. Cracks jokes and is an amazing teacher. The only flaw with his class is the departmental final, but that doesn't have anything to do him. He gives you tons of chances to fix your grades and gives extra credit. If you have the opportunity to take his class, take it!
If you have class this man, consider yourself privileged. Very few students at Baruch are able to say that they've been taught by such a genuinely concerned and diligent professor.
does whatever he can to boost our grades. Probability is not an easy subject, but he grades leniently, gives practice exams, and makes his actual exams kinda similar to the practice ones, enabling many who struggle with the subject (me included) to still earn A's.(u still have to put in the work, tho. An A is easy to obtain IF u put in the effort)
BEST TEACHER IN BARUCH, HANDS DOWN!!
Amazing
Simply unbeatable. Gets you from y=mx+b to ordinary differential equations in 3 weeks. Clear, fun, and super responsive. Makes very comprehensive live notes to PDF, writes out every step with screen grabs of Ti89, you don't have to scramble writing and can focus just on him. Don't fall behind on the web homework! Learn his shortcuts for the Ti89.
Hard material of course. Professor Gregroy makes it as easy as possible!!! He doesn't give theriotic problem in exams. His class is really organized. Whenever you have question you can always reach him on facebook. We had really good time with him.
loved him! made class interesting and fun...wish i could have him every semester.
I wish this man taught ALL of my classes, not just calc.
The best professor at Baruch. Very helpful. A little slow on email and sometimes he goes off on tangents in the class, but otherwise PERFECT! This class is hard, the least you could do is sign up for the best professor and increase of your chances of passing the final (most people fail the class the first time they take it)
He is the best math professor I ever had, his teaching method is awesome,I recommend him +++++++, I wish if I could have him in my future courses. Take his class, he is great
If u want to pass baruch cal math department test then u should take his class or else you'll be repeating with F with other Professor.
This professor is the BEST!!!!I can not find enough words to compliment him he really cares about his students to understand his class and get a good grade. Here you will not memorize a formula and forget it after the final, you will UNDERSTAND it so no way to forget. THANK YOU PROFESSOR!!!!(also for the extra time to respond to my 1000 emails :S)
The best teacher i have ever had. take him AT ALL COST!!!! He is the only reason i got an A. He gives an identical take home review before each test, makes videos for the webwork homeworks, answers millions of my emails and prepared me perfectly for the final. Also hes very funny, and puts up every class notes online in case you missed class.
Prof Gregory is one the BEST professor in Baruch. He prepares you for the departmental final. He pushes you and provide you helping videos, and excruciating Webwork videos. His teaching methods are awesome, he uploads class notes. I believe every professor should use the tablet PC. He leaves you no reason to fail unless you don't work hard
I did poorly because I'm stupid. Gregory is the best! Ive taken this class three times and Gregory was by far the best teacher of them all. BEST TEACHER AT BARUCH. After this all your classes will feel awful.
Calculus 2207 is hard. Professor Peter Gregory is the best. He works very hard by teaching very clearly. He posted a lot of videos, so that you can learn to do the WebWorks and exams. I had fun and I have learned a lot from him. We took 3 exams. The 3rd one is hard because he wanted us to focus on preparing for the final.Take his class right away!
The best professor at Baruch is Mr.Peter Gregory. His lectures are very clear. He solves a lot of math problems in the class. He posted videos on the blackboard. I watch them and I know how to do the WebWorks and exams. 3 class exams, the 3rd one is hard because he wants us to prepare for the final. Take his class you will have fun and learn a lot.
Prof. Peter Gregory is the best math professor. His teaching method is awesome. He makes fun in the class and he solves a lot of math problems.I pay attention and watch his math videos online. I do almost 100% WebWork. I did 3 exams pretty well. He doesn't give you pressure but you need to work hard and ask him questions.5*****Prof.
I took calculus with prof. Gregory this summer and I have to say he is one of the best professors I've had in college. This class was tough but thanks to his methods and tools provided, I made it! 100% recommended.
BEST TEACHER EVER FOR MATH. He will do ANYTHING in his power to help you pass. If you are terrible at math and want to pass, take him. Webwork gets a bit annoying but it all helps a lot and he drops yourlowest grade and doubles your highest grade. Only problem is he focuses less on the smart students and more on the dumb students.
Excellent prof, very helpful, has a good sence of humor,i rate him 100% for anybody.
Peter Gregory is amazing. He is one of the very few professors at Baruch that goes above and beyond for his students. He set up a Facebook group so students can help each other out with homework and exam corrections. However, the class is NOT easy (lots of webwork!), so don't take this professor if you're not willing to put in any effort
If you have this professor YOU ARE LUCKY. He explains the material very clearly and uploads class notes onto Blackboard every day. There's a ton of WebWork and he gives quizzes pretty frequently, which sounds awful, but doing all that work really prepares you for the departmental final. Its a serious shame there aren't more professors like Gregory
Honestly the best professor I've ever had. He genuinely cares about his students and wants everyone to do well. He set up a Facebook group where students can help each other out w/ hw. His reviews are almost identical to his exams (diff #s of course) so take advantage of that. He also has a sense of humor that makes the class easier to sit through
Prof.Gregory's lecture is very clear and well organized. He posted the notes after each class. This becomes very helpful to my study, since I do not just mechanically copy down the notes without understanding it.Instead,I try to capture how he explains the topics.I'm personally vey fond of his way of teaching. He's a very charming and helpful Prof!!!
Best math professor. I took 2 courses with him and would take more if it were an option. His lectures are clear, he posts his notes on BB, and if you still don't understand he is available at office hours, email, and facebook. They're not easy classes but if you put in the effort you will be rewarded.
HANDS DOWN, THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR EVER!!!!! He teaches everything so clear. You would be a fool not to take him
If I could take all Math Classes with Professor Gregory I would. He is definitely one of the BEST Math Professors in Baruch and Im sure in the world as I have lived in many places. His lectures are clear concise and he is VERY helpful. I took in the summer and any reservations about being able to succeed in math were squashed by this awesome prof.
Gregory is the man. Best math professor at Baruch, hands down. He cares for ALL of his students and tries his best to put you in a position to succeed. Class is always laid back and a great learning environment. He is prone to making a lot of "typos" so make sure to get your two points for them! :D
Prof Gregory is one of the better math professors at Baruch. Super helpful, respectful, makes the lectures interesting , and wants everybody to do well. Exams and quizzes are p straight forward, if you do most of the HW and pay attention in class you'll do well. Only downside is that handing things back takes longer than desired.
Best math prof at Baruch. Makes class interesting, and funny. Atmosphere very relaxed. Writes his notes using colors and graphics to make it easy to understand and then posts them on Blackboard (BB). Also on BB: practice tests with answers, practice quizzes, practice finals, video lectures. There is no reason to fail. Makes it easy and fun. Great!
Love his class and sense of humour! Can be sort of confusing at times because he's so theoretical, but you won't see that in his exams so don't worry!
Best and clearest teacher. However, Calculus is a tough class in general so it wasn't easy.
Prof. Gregory is amazing. His lectures are straight-forward and he very helpful inside and outside the classroom. He makes jokes in class and is very easy-going which makes math enjoyable. Anyone would be lucky to have Prof. Gregory teaching their class.
Professor Gregory is the man. Let me tell you, taking Linear Algebra is like walking into the interminable abyss. You won't know what is going on, all you'll know is how to do it. Do it. Its not only Baruch. In City Tech and City College, if you remember how to do it (not hard), then you'll be set. But the bigger picture of the class is immense..
Took him in Spring 2014. He is the best math professor in Baruch. If you are an actuarial science program, theory of interest class will prepare you for 60% of the actuarial exam (FM).
Best math professor I have ever seen. He teaches all the material that is later tested, always available and there to help during office hours and via email. He knows how to break down and explain difficult topics and makes you understand the material. I am an actuarial science major and passed my actuarial exam after his class.
Professor Gregory is honestly the best. He cares about all his students and does whatever he can to curve your grade and make you pass. He also puts all of the color coded notes online.
His lectures are clear and understandable, and he speaks with no accent. He writes down steps to do the questions. Take advantage of asking him questions and join the Facebook group that he creates. It will help. Remember to keep doing practice questions by hand or by using the Ti-89 calculator. Don't wait until days before the final exam to review
Peter Gregory is one of the best math professors in Baruch. Hw is in the syllabus, you can choose to do it or not. Lectures are very clear and helpful. Quizs and exams are easy. And you can always redo them and get extra 5 pts.
Professor Gregory is super chill and great at explaining things. This class was no exception for the R class this winter. You could tell that this was the first time that he and Professor Ridenour were teaching it, but this class was very helpful and they did a great job at conveying the material. A must take if you want to learn R programming!
I have been waiting to give the Prof a rating, but I will just do it now. I am doing fairly well in class, but all of it has been self-taught by youtube/videos. He grudgingly and without enthusiasm lectures the class. He does not enforce hw/quizzes so if you require discipline/structure you are screwed. Would not take again. Thumbs down.
Professor Gregory is a great person. He has a great sense of humor. However, his accessibility before and after class was not there. His teaching is ok.
He assigns 3 tests and the departmental final which are all cumulative. That being said he does give extra points. He tends to give a quiz every Wednesday and assigns online labs for homework. The labs are not due until the end of the semester so it is up to the student to make sure they stay on track. He encourages questions. I recommend him.
Attendance is optional since he posts all his lessons on BB. Lectures are pretty good and is always willing to answer questions. HW is on mymathlab but isn't due till end of semester. Gregory sometimes will randomly give extra credit so look out for that. Exams are not too hard, but studying is required. He's also super nice and understanding!!!
took Gregory for MTH 2003. Got a 66 on the first test (only 3 in the semester). Went to him after class to talk about, he genuinely cared and tried to explain things I didn't understand. Pre-Calc is a tough subject, but he makes sure to help you by explaining things different ways and finding the way that works for you. got a 90 on final.
AMAZING!! We had 2 exams and the third exam was open notes/you can take it alongside other people in the class. He just wanted everyone to do well. Can't recommend enough!!!! Only calc professor you should ever take.
Great Calc professor. Transferred in this past semester and was terrified hearing that a large portion of people fail. Professor Gregory was awesome at explaining the material in an easy to understand way. Made himself available for office hours too. You do have to put work in but hes great a great Calc professor
I failed mth 2207 last semester because I had the worst possible professor and I didn't know i failed the course. prof Gregory was generous to add me to the class and was absolutely AMAZING. I passed the final and am so happy to get my math requirements out the way.
He is an amazing guy. He tries his best to make sure everyone passes, therefore you need to do your part; go to tutoring, study, etc. If you do that, you will pass for sure. If not, you're letting an opportunity to get a good grade pass you by.
Peter is really very good. In the class, he will explain the source of the formula very carefully, and give examples. Then I will find the topic and let us do the exercises. Because the summer course is very short, he has small tests every day, but the test is as long as Listen carefully in the classroom, you will get the score you want!
AMAZING!! Explains the material in the clearest way possible and always posts the class notes online along with instructional videos. What other prof would do that?? Seriously, hes the man. Also look out for extra credit. If youre bad at math like me (third times the charm) hes your ticket to passing. Study his notes and do MyMathlab!!!
Throughout the semester the entire class was confused regarding the material. The main reason being the lectures having no clear direction, and the material being poorly explained. The two texts were not of much help either and Baruch does not offer tutoring for this course.
He's really nice but doesn't know how to teach. I was excited to take his class because there were a lot of great ratings about him online but he doesn't really know how to teach. Everyone in the class has been confused and failing except for those with tutors, expect to be challenged and be able to self teach to pass. Wouldn't recommend his class.
HW was online and was due last day of class (but its up to you to consistently do them). Class had 3 exams which were way easier than the homework he assigned. Final was straight forward and again was easier than HW and problems done in class. He does give quizzes often but they are straightforward and some are group quizzes. Great Prof! Easy A!
act sci majors know how hard the soa exam fm is and arguably greg's exams and quizzes are half as hard as exam fm. weekly quizzes ended up being 5 quizzes where 3 were counted, very lenient grader on exams, ask act sci club, bass, or look around for the asm manual, practice exams are twice as hard as the one in class dont be scared, sadly no curve
One of the best professors I've had at Baruch. His lectures are very clear and very easy to follow. He's also VERY generous with partial credit.
Great professor! He posts his lecture notes for every class. There are no quizzes and HW isn't collected. After switch to online class, there are a few assigned HW problems, but most of them are easy. Midterm and final are online and open notes. He is a very lenient grader. You can download the textbook and solutions manuel for free on libgen.
Professor Gregory is a great professor and his lecture videos are amazing. He was also very accommodating with issues that students had that were related to online schooling (like connectivity). There are a lot of homework problems and lecture videos so I would suggest staying on top of them or else it gets overwhelming.
He is the guy. The best in Baruch!!!!
If you're bad at math, he's really good at teaching it. You will definitely learn. He's funny for the first hour of every class and then he'll dive into the lectures. The HW is easy to do and so are the quizzes. My experience with the class was very fun actually.
Dude is really great. This was taken in a summer course and his notes that he posts is great. Prof is supportive and I wish I had him for all my math classes. Take him
Homework heavy through webassign but you can do them at at anytime because they're all just due at the end of the semester. quiz every so often but almost identical to the homework. the live lectures are necessary because he just answers peoples question. created a great calendar and groups videos of him teaching to the assignment. TAKE HIM!
he is very nice. homework on mindtap. and there were weekly quiz base on the videos you watch
Professor Gregory is a real gem. His lecture videos were online all semester, so we had to watch them outside of normal class time, BUT they were very well made and he explained everything thoroughly. He was also very helpful in office hour. Take him!!!!
Professor Gregory is the best math professor you could ever wish for! This guy extended our final by about an hour, gave awesome feedback, and basically rewarded you the last 2 quizzes. The guy himself is super nice! Speaks in a clear manner, easily understood, and is easy to talk to! Definitely take him! P.S. the final is very hard (INTEGRALS)
Great professor, not gonna lie. I failed the class because I was taking two classes in summer and calculus was really difficult for me. his style of teaching made me not to do enough work on my own. gave us a lot of extra credit. He is better than Aaron Converse in terms of teaching style but if you are not good at math take Aaron.
Professor Gregory is very inspirational. Throughout my year with him I have learned so much about calculus and he has been on my side since day 1. I would recommend him to anyone who is new to calculus, or is already experienced in the topic. Thank you Mr. Gregory I love you.
Math 2205 is the hardest class ive ever taken at baruch, but this professor was amazing and did whatever he could do to pass us.
The class itself was challenging but the professor was a great help.
He's a competent and nice teacher who gives a lot of time for you to ask questions. However, if you are like me and do the GOAL homework as early as possible, you will suffer because the lecture videos do not explain every facet of the questions. If you are willing to wait to the next class or do research, great class.
Not too difficult. This class is meant to teach the basics of the FM exam and he does just that. The GOAL assignments can pile up very quickly if you leave them. I wish he did more lessons in person rather than having all the lessons as videos online. But he does take time during class to answer any and every question you might have.
Great professor if you are taking Calculus.
Gregory prioritizes practicing many problems in order to understand concepts. He had some group quizzes and exams. The homework was on WebAssign and it helped to have practice examples when stuck. I feel like he could incorporate more techniques in his lecture in order to develop calculus understanding for higher level courses.
Peter is a great professor. I had 3 classes with him. In this course, there are two midterms(30%), Goal HW(10%), Quiz & warm up(30%), and Final 30%. If you attend his lectures and do goal homework, most likely you will get an "A".
Not the hardest math class out there but requires studying for sure. Exams are similar to practice exams he posts. The homework, in my opinion, are harder than the exams so if you can do the exams you got it. Also super lenient on grading. Also gave test corrections, I don't think every class has one though so don't take your chances on that.
I Took MTH2009 in the summer and it was lecture-heavy. He gave similar examples to those that would be on the final which made it much more easy to do, he had great attitude and has a good teaching style. We also had three exams which had test corrections along with quizzes. As long as you study and pay attention you will be good.
This professor was an amazing professor who taught in a way where it was really easy to understand. He would always provide us with extra credit and chances to improve our test grades by doing test corrections. He was very understanding and cared about his students. 100% recommend taking his classes.
Had him for calc this summer. Really good professor and the whole class would agree. Very generous and is a chill guy. Take him if you can.
Took him for Fall 2025 and he was fabulous. Very clear, informative, yet humorous lectures that kept me engaged (with his occasional tangents and witty remarks). Almost all your grades are gonna come from a bulk of 7 quizes, 3 midterms, and 1 final. Quizzes are open book, midterms are not open book yet allow for corrections for a bonus of +5% pts
Class was hard but peter is hands down the goat. I didn't email him about bumping my final grade but 1 point and he did it automatically. If you had him for 4451 its the same idea.
