Great prof! The nature of the course means that you'll spend your time learning the textbook and not his lecture notes, so attendance is not mandatory. He tells entertaining stories and is extremely charismatic, but his notes aren't helpful. It's usually not necessary to go to class because most of the questions on the exams are straight from the text. On the bright side it's easy to get a good grade if you're willing to read and memorize the text and he's hilarious. Overall, I really liked him.
