If you do all of the homework and study (memorize) the problems, you will ace the test because he uses the same EXACT problems. Know your formulas because they are test questions too. Calculator and allowed cheat sheet on test make it almost too easy

I enjoyed his class. Sometimes in his lectures his jumps around, but as long as you take good notes and keep up with the homework, you'll have no problem. His tests are homework problems, and he allows you to use a cheat sheet on the test. It's easy.

He's a great teacher. All test problems come exactly from the homework. As long as you make a good formula card and learn the steps on your TI83 you should be able to ace this class!! If you don't understand something ASK!

HE IS VERY EXCITED ABOUT HIS JOB, EVERYDAY. HE IS VERY EASY AS LONG AS YOU COME TO CLASS AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

If you come to class EVERYDAY,do your homework,and learn how to work your TI-83, you will make an "A" in his class.Although you teach yourself, attendendance is VERY important. Try not to miss ANY days and you will be alright!

The large index cards that he hands out, so we can use them on every test is very helpful. Make sure you do the homework problems (memorize themo for the test)

Good teacher!! He is very helpful and knows what he is talking about. Be prepared to work in his class because it requires a lot of work. Make a good note card for the test and make sure you know how to use your TI-83 and come to class. If you do this, you can make a good grade.

Difficult class, but if you read the material, pay attention, do your homework, and take good notes, you will make an A. Looking back, I wish I had done my homework, but I still got a high grade. He lets you use notecards and drop low scores, so he gives you plenty of chances to succeed.

He gives you every oppurtunity to make a good grade in the class. The material is not very hard at all. He was strict on attendance. But you need to come to class anyway to make a good grade. If you come to class and do your homework it is a very easy A.

This was the best math class I've ever had, and I'm math 'challenged.' Mr. Kerwin is extremely fair, gives notecards for exams, spends extra time in review, BUT YOU MUST DO THE HOMEWORK. TESTS COME DIRECTLY FROM THE HOMEWORK!! No Surprises! Fantastic class...wish he taught Pre-Calc!

he's a really nice guy.. kinda boring, but understanding. he's willing to help in any way he can.. when i took his class he didn't care if you came or not.. the material gets harder as the course progressses, but he lets you use note cards so its not too bad.. tests problems come from homework.. bring your ti83 to class EVERYDAY!! easy "A" !!

Overall this was a fairly easy class. It is a math class, so expect to study, especially if you are not inclined to doing well in math. I am not good at math but I got an A. Gives good study guides for test, and he explains things clearly.If you take notes in class and you do most of the homework you should do good. He also gives extra credit.

What a nice man! his class was a lot easier than i thought it was going to be. make sure to do the study guides before the tests and make good note cards! he even lets you use the note cards you made on the final!

Wow hes a great teacher. He also allows you to use a 5x7 card on his tests and for the final you get to use all four cards. Very fun, and I wouldn't buy the book. We might have use it 3x. If you are not good in math take him. He is one of those teachers that cares for his students.

I had his summer stats course. He was VERY strict on attendance, did NOT offer any kind of extra credit (though he did replace your lowest test score with your final exam grade, if it was higher). 75% of the time he's incredibly boring, but the first 2 tests are fairly easy, as long as you make a decent note card. Study hard for the final.

He is a real good teacher, but gets a little upset if you are late or absent. I would take him again, because he makes sure you pass, if you dont then something is wrong with you.

Kerwin is a spectacular teacher!! Hes not really strict on attendence.. the reason why everyone says that he is because its part of your extra credit points that you can earn through out the semester. If you miss or are late to more than 3 classes, you have to give pretty good explanations or you will not get the full 5 points on the extra credit

This class was extremely easy! As long as you somewhat pay attention in class and look over the pre-test you will easily get an A! The questions come almost word for word from the pre-test plus you get to use an index card ! I didnt do one homework assignment and I got an A on every test! I would recommned anybody to him for this class!

THIS IS ONE OF THE EASIEST TEACHERS AT TCC. HE IS VERY HELPFUL AND REALLY FUNNY. HE DOESN'T LIKE TARDY PEOPLE. HE GIVES TONS OF EXTRA CREDIT. U HAVE TO BE AN IDIOT TO NOT GET AN A IN THIS CLASS. Kerwin is awesome! I don't know where the myth that he hates tardy students came from because he really is the most relaxed teacher I've ever had. Very understanding and all of his tests allow for one huge cheat notecard. I never did any homework in the class and left with an A. You would have to be a complete retard not to do good in his class.

GREAT PROFESSOR!! Extremely helpful!! I took him last spring and loved his class! Math is not my favorite subject but he makes it fun and easy! A lot of his test questions come from the homework and he always makes practice tests for you to study. If you do your work and pay attention in class you will definitely get the grade you want!!

I will start off by saying his class is easy and dosn't require a book. His online tools are extremely helpful especially the exam keys in which you can study from. Unfortunatley thats about all thats good. His class is extremely boring and he is big time smart a**. Word of advice Pete, stop trying to embarass people when they go to the bathroom.

His class is extremely easy as long as you show up for class... ok so I missed a total of 15 days and still got a B+ and I would have had an A if I wouldn't have slacked on test 2. He gives you a good sized notecard for each test and 5 for the exam. He grades fair! Do your homwork and go to class he likes that.

He is really good, hes always pleasant gives you extra points for being nice. All you have to do is smile and get an extra few points! His test are exactly as the problems he works in class, just attend class...An A is achievable in his class.

Really nice guy, very helpful. Everyone should get an A in this class. You get really helpful pre tests and you get to use a notecard on each test and five notecards on the final. He reminds me of a hippy, which is sweet. Be sure to show up and go along with the objectives.

Great teacher...tho ya gotta be committed if you sign up for the 6-week-course! Contrary to the previous post, Prof. Kerwin is NOT boring. I'm sure that the person was one of the many students who failed to attend class - and then probably failed the course. Oh well...grow up! :)

kerwin's class was extremely boring, but he's a helpful instructor. take him if you're not strong in math b/c he's very clear on how to use the calculator and how to preform certain problems. it's an easy A if you show up to class, ask questions if you don't understand, and do the homework and practice tests!

Awesome professor. Makes learning statistics very easy and effective. HW is optional but very helpful. Hes very organized and you can tell he enjoys what he does; very few profs like that exist anymore. If you get the chance take him, you won't regret it!

The class isn't bad just know the practice test and make a good note card for the test. Doing homework does help because test questions are form it but it is optional. If your lazy and good at math you can just study the practice test the night before make a good note card and you will probably get an easy B in the class

HE GIVES YOU 4 TESTS AND A FINAL, HE ALLOWS YOU TO MAKE A NOTE CARD FOR EACH TEST TO HELP YOU AND GIVES YOU A PRACTICE TEST WHICH HAS SIMULAR PROBLEMS THAT WILL BE ON THE TEST. The class is easy to pass if you do the homework and take the practice tests. He puts all of the day's notes up on Blackboard in case you've missed something. Very good teacher.

RECOMMEND. He allows a help card for the tests, posts class notes for review on coursecompass, is friendly, and wants each student to come to class ready to learn. Made statistics not so intimidating.

He is soooooo goofy!!! Class is super easy! You get a 4X8 "helpcard" on every test so theres no reason to get lower than a B!! You must go to class HE WILL DROP YOU!! Also you get extra credit for attending class.

Very informative. He can be pretty sarcastic at times I.E if you constantly come to class late. Attendance is mandatory he will drop you, and at the end of the semester he will give you extra credit just for coming. Homework assignments each week. Wierd man in a way! iF YOU GET LOWER THAN A "C" SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT WITH YOU! HE LETS YOU BRING A BIG 5 BY 8 NITE CARD AND GIVES EXTRA CREDIT!!! JUST COME TO CLASS ON TIME. he gets kind of irritated if you ask him question in the class. Easy Class! no need to waste your money on a book... just go and but the coarse compass code...

He is EXTREMELY anal about attendance and tardiness. You better not miss classes, and you can't ever be late. I take the bus to school so was almost always 1 or 2 mins late for class but he didn't give me the bonus points. I should've gotten a B in his class but lost 10 percent points on 2 tests for tardiness which was unpreventable on my side =[

He was a really cool teacher in the beginning of the semester but the closer to the final it got the more rude he got. Even if you leave the classroom to use the bathroom he will call you out when you get back. He is a good teacher and the class isnt all that hard. He just has a crappy personality.

Go to class, take notes, understand the questions. Easy. Well, I guess I'm asian, but I'm not saying that has anything to do with it. Just pay attention, and KEEP REDOING the online homework if you don't get it. It's the best way to learn in my opinion. Don't just breeze through it to try to get it done. Extra 10 points added if you do homework!

Pretty easy class. Just do online homework and come to class for extra credit (he still wants you there though, and will ask why you missed if you want extra credit). Easy class and overall nice guy, a little neurotic but whatever. Explains the material pretty well, just study the notes, do online homework, and make a good help card and you should do well. How hard can a class be where a teacher lets you use a cheat card on tests? By the way, don't bother getting the textbook just buy the Course Compass code.

Take him if you're required to take stats. Super helpful, allows use of 5X8 notecard on every test. There's no reason to not make 100% on every homework and it's counted as a test grade. If you show up, there is no reason to not at least make a B in the class. Stats is difficult. Kerwin is the man.

AVOID!! Worst teacher! Class is soooo boring! He talks really fast and he's really fidgety. It's weird. You HAVE to study. His test are not easy. He gives a quiz almost every day! Although he does let you use a help card on tests. This class is overall hard, especially if you're not that good in math.
