I had Dr. Kim for Honors English 132 for Winter 2012. His class was extremely engaging. I'll admit he grades on the harsher side but he lets you revise an unlimited amount of times. So you basically fail if you're lazy. He is a great instructor and I highly recommend him.

Kim is the best professor ever. He is very understanding and he will work with you. Kim will work his best to make you past the class. One of my favorite professors ever.

Unlike other professors or instructors, Dr. Kim is one of the few who actually looks for improvement in a student. He allows you to comprehend your mistakes by offering revisions to all your work. Of all the professors that I have had, he has by far trumped them all. All of the assignments you do he hands them back to you, tells you exactally what is wrong with them and what you need to fix. It is impossible to pass his class with anything less than an A. He is kind-hearted and spreads his passion onto others. Switched major because of him.

By far the best teacher I've had so far. First thing he will tell you is that he wants you to pass. Tells you exactly what's wrong with your work and will keep accepting until you get 100%. Encourages dialogue group work joining the newspaper. Quiz answers are word for word in textbook. some questions are mini essays. Literally you cannot fail

Dr. Kim is the man! I took him for Jour 131 & he really helps students and does not want them to fail. He lets you redo assignments all you want until you get the grade you want. That is unlike any other teacher I've had. Because of this, I still remember alot of what I learned last semester cause I redid a lot of work. Def take him!

Dr. Kim is hands-down one of the best English teachers here at Henry Ford. He allowed unlimited re-writes on essays as an easy way to learn from your mistakes. One thing I found memorable was Kim's flexible due date schedule (He moved our paper two weeks later due to midterms!!). Highly recommended. Highly knowledgeable about Detroit.

I took Eng132 with Dr. Kim online and I learned so much from this class. Dr. Kim allows you to revise for better grades which gives you the opportunity to not just learn from your mistakes but earn a better grade. I wish I had taken him for my previous English classes, he extends due dates and his grading is very fair. You earn what you deserve.

he is an amazing person! I thought ENG132 will be tough, but passed the class with an A+ You have to be lazy and an iddiot to fail his class. the book isn't required and gives you as many chances to revise your work to receive a 100. All assignments are discussed in class and given answers for in groups. No tests or quizzes

Dr. Kim is a great teacher. He knows his stuff very well, very organized, quick responder to your emails. In this class you have to read a lot. Discussion boards, research paper, and booklist assignment. You have to read order to do his homework, can't do it without reading. Very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Kim. The Best Teacher Ever!!!

Amazing teacher! Easily my favorite college professor!

Dr. Kim is pretty good although some of the assignments were a bit hard. If you make a mistake on a discussion forum post, you have the option to fix it but you also have to explain your mistake and what to do to fix it. The research booklist was the hardest in my opinion. Fifty books total that have to fit in five genres. But overall, not too bad.

What can I say about Dr. Kim, that he is the best professor? I am glad I took him it was online but I learned so much from my mistakes that I made in my assignments. Thank You, Dr. Kim, for being an awesome teacher he is fair on so many levels.

Great teacher, I'm horrible at English and did 10x worse in the first English class than the second class. He really wants you to succeed and makes it very easy for you to. tries to keep the material interesting and light, replies really quick to emails. Always gives you a chance to revise a essay and get full credited. Super easy A.

Wonderful professor with reasonable amount of quizzes and writing assignments. 10 online quizzes. 5 essay assignments and an online final exam. The book is uploaded online and theres plenty of extra credit. Overall, easy A.

So easy to work with ! Each week there is one reading that the longest was maybe five pages. One forum per week and two essays. He gives you chances to redo assignments to get 100% in the class. Review survey for class is 10 points extra credit I mean really there is no reason to be failing . I waited two months on the wait-list and it was worth it

I took this class during the spring so we worked at a faster pace than you would during the fall or winter but it was still the easiest A I've ever gotten. He posts copies of the textbook online for you. One assignment due a week. 2 essays in total but allows you to correct stuff for a better grade. Take this prof!

The online class was easy. There are a lot of writing assignments, but you get to use the book THAT HE GIVES YOU to reference everything. Also, he gives out a lot of opportunities for extra credit, and will allow you to do assignments over if you turned them in on time.

The class and all the field trips were incredible. didn't expect to retain so much info from one class. He gives the best feedback ever (he puts in the time and effort, so he expects the same from you). He is also a great person, always bought us donuts and coffee for the field trips. I could go on and on. Henry Ford College is lucky to have him.

Very easy A. I took this class in the spring online and was only required to take a literacy exam which is a syllabus quiz, and he gives you two chances. Also, five discussion boards in which he allows you to fix and resubmitted if turned in on time. Lastly, one essay for a final exam which you can also revise. Easy class. Easy A.

He lets you redo all the assignments. There was one essay based on the forums we did throughout the semester. I really recommend this professor don't listen to the reviews that say otherwise.

I loved this class. I took it online along with my program classes and I do not regret it at all. I enjoyed being able to write essays again and having my work corrected to make sure it was the best of the best. He gives you 2 chances when permission is given so you can have the full opportunity to get the grade you deserve.

Hes teaching is SOO Hard I saw the reviews and decided to take him. He is soo strict when comes to writing hes not your typical English teacher. Hes a great person but come on why dont you have to make so complicated yes he lets you correct the assignment but still he except you to deliver perfect work. His class is time consuming

Great Professor, He has a clear class and grading system, which is fair. He doesn't give a lot of work, but he does want you to have great writing skills. Even if you mess up and get a bad grade on an essay, he will let you do it again with the full grade available. Easy A if you really use the opportunity of second chances and redo the essay.

I took this class initially concerned for how it would turn out, even though I enjoy writing. We spoke on the phone and he laid out the five major assignments, talked through potential topics for each, and offered help if needed. He would send helpful information on my topic when asked. Quizzes weren't bad, feedback was great! Really enjoyed class!

This class was one of the easier classes I have taken. At first, I was very overwhelmed with the work, but once you get in the swing of things it is very easy. He is a great professor and offers many opportunities to have extra credit and redo the assignments for full points. He goes into great depth on your writing and gives great feedback. 10/10

Class was hard at first, he is a tough grader, but he literally does not allow you to fail. He allowed me to redo an assignment like 4 times after saying he will give me one more chance because he really wants you to pass. You really do not have a choice with your grade because he will make you get an A. Really easy A, I would recommend!!

I took Dr. Kim's class online in 2021. He is an amazing professor even though there were not any zoom meetings. He replies to emails and questions very quickly and even offers phone calls during office hours. We had to write A LOT of papers but his feedback is detailed, VERY helpful, and made me become a better writer.

Amazing bro. You have one forum every week, you just read and answer 5-10 questions. He corrects it and you get to go back and correct your work for full points. He is always there for you and available to help! I turned in work late and it was accepted for full points. You have 2 essays, one midterm and one final but they all tie in together.

I took this class in the summer (8 weeks) I had 5 assignments and the final some had 10 questions and the rest had 5 questions. you have to read articles, essays, and stories If you like reading writing and history in English I recommend this class to you. you will have up to 2 times to revise your writing to earn a better grade on each assignment.

Dr.Peter Kim was a great professor. I took him for an eight-week English course. We had a total of 6 assingments.5 of the assignments were based on one story and other author's opinions of it. The last assignment was a final based on the first five assignments we did. If I needed to take another English course, it would be with Dr. Peter Kim.

He's a good professor, but a tough grader. He allows you to revise your forums and even the final for a better grade, but I took his class in the summer so I felt like his class took more time than it should. It was all focused on one short story followed by articles about that story, and it is heavily feminist; 1800s feminism, not the modern one.

Dr. Kim is very elaborated in what he wants from you in an assignment. He offers great feedback, and multiple chances at correcting your work. You are analyzing the textbook, and writing a lot, but he offers a tremendous amount of support, answers emails quickly, and even after office hour.

Colloquium was awesome taking it with him. The field trips were what made this class very engaging. Take it with him!

Mr. Kim is my favorite professor There are 10 forums,one midterm&final. He allows us to use the forums we wrote to write our final&midterm papers. We can also redo the forums to get a better grade Also midterm&finals can be redone. He is great. I didnt turn in the paper when my grandma was in the hospital, so he gave me an extra week to do it.

Great professor, clear instructions, gives feed back and even has a text reminder to remind you about assignments due. If you do the work you should have no issue getting an A.

Professor Petter Kim is an amazing professor, he cares so much about his students and wants them to learn. He provides a lot of extra credit that you can boost your grade. He allows correction for full credits so if you do your work you'll definitely pass with an A. Mid-term and final are allowed to be corrected as well. I learned so much from him.

I took his course over the summer so we only had to do 4 forums, and one research essay. He gives you multiple times to resubmit for a better grade and gives good feedback. He is a very tough grader, but he will let you redo assignments. Honestly, it is a lot of reading but overall a very easy class to take in the summer.

This professor is truly the finest. He gives chances but it has to be done within a week. He expects a lot from his students but is always willing to help them out. He's a great role model for professors. There are four forums, one final essay, and extra credit. My score was 103.57 out of 100. TAKE HIMM!!

This course is my favorite so far! Even online, the professor is super accessible. Quizzes are open book, and he allows multiple revisions for the three major assignments. To add, there are loads of extra credit opportunities. In all, Professor Kim is such a caring and inspirational instructor, I highly recommend anyone to learn under him.

I came back to life after this class ended. Dr. Kim is awesome, but the courseload was insane. It was equivalent to 9 credit hours for me. Personally, Eng Comp is difficult, boring, and stressful already, so I wish I would have taken an in-person class with another teacher. I enjoy being challenged, but this was too much.

ENG-132 is a heavy course and needs a lot of work, but professor Kim is super helpful and i am learning many things from him. You,ll not fail with him because he'll let you correct your assignment. I really appreciate his hard work, highly recommended.

Professor Kim is a great professor. I was nervous considering my bad experience with English professors but he made English very enjoyable. He does require a lot of work, but I found that it benefitted me and it is very doable if you have like an hour or two a week (MAX) to study for his class. I would definitely recommend him. He lets you revise!

A great professor! He lets you retake quizzes and gives you corrections that are easy to understand. He also has easy extra credit that you can do to bring your grade up. I would recommend taking him!

It's an ok class, not hard but it's just reading from the book and taking quizzes and 3 big new writing projects. He lets you redo the points you miss in the writing projects.

Dr. Kim assigns 6 forums and 6 quizzes in the summer. No late work is accepted. Quizzes are written and open-book, but EXTREMELY time-consuming (20+ hrs), so do NOT procrastinate. He grades very strictly. Forums are written after watching a video which you summarize and answer questions for. You have to cite sources for every answer.
